i don't know who needs to hear this, but guilt, self-hatred and shame are not sustainable sources of growth and healing. you can't hate yourself into feeling better, or being better. you can't repeatedly punish yourself for your flawed humanity and expect wholesome results.

Darkness to the top
Madness grew like a sloth
Fingers on the rocks
I try climbs the block
The path is clear
The green is near
Her hand throw me
Joy I can see
Darkness is a flop
Madness dies in a shot
Stars lights the sky
Words clear my mind
At last at the top

We all know at this point that the name Astarion is connected to the word "star" (starry or little star).
But Larian decided that they wanted to go all in with the details and they delivered!
The flower you can place on his tomb in the final romance scene (which I think is such a cute and tender gesture and I love his reaction to it), seems to be an Ornithogalum umbellatum, a star-shaped white flower with six petals. Among the plant's many common names, there are summer snowflake, starflower, and star-of-Bethlehem.
Moreover, in the language of flowers, its meanings are related to trauma, mourning, and welcoming pain without repressing it.
According to Doctor Edward Bach (1886 – 1936), these flowers are "For those who find themselves in a state of great anguish due to situations that, in a given period, have caused so much unhappiness", and can be used to help with the aftermath of a trauma, the alleviation of pain and the mourning process.
Edit: every time I see an artist include this flower in their Astarion fanart my heart swells with joy. Love this community

You’ve got to forgive yourself for being traumatized and needing to learn how to function again.
Recovery isn’t always nightmares and depression, it’s forgetting to eat, being scared of what others might see as completely normal things, it’s getting random panic attacks, not knowing how to take care of yourself, not knowing how to live like an adult, even if you’re twenty, thirty, forty, fifty, of feeling like you’re failing to function in a world where everyone seems to have their shit together.
If you need help, ask for it. Go to forums and ask for advice. Take advantage of community resources. Buy pre-sliced veggies and fruits, eat instant meals if you can’t cook for yourself today. Hire someone. Ask a neighbor for a favor. Buy any item you think might make life easier, even if you feel like you aren’t ‘disabled’ enough to have it.
Some of the depression posts (ie open your windows, take a shower, go outside, call a friend) are really helpful but they’re not always enough. I’ve found advice for spoonies, people with chronic pain or other disabilities have the best tips because they know what it’s like to be bedridden, out of energy, stuck in a brain fog.
You may never return back to the energy you had when you were younger and you might always need to use crutches to help you through life. It’s the same with medication.
Trauma is a real thing that happens to you, it physically alters your brain and it’s alright to have lasting scars.
You’re not broken, your life is not over and you can still be happy.
It’s not your fault.

Discovering Your Soul’s Journey: The Benefits of Working with the Akashic Records to Heal Past Traumas
Meet Lora, a woman who had been struggling with anxiety and limiting beliefs for as long as she could remember. Despite her best efforts to work through her challenges, nothing seemed to stick. That is, until she discovered the power of Akashic Records. Through accessing the memories and experiences of her soul’s journey, Lora was able to uncover the root causes of her anxiety and limiting beliefs, which stemmed from past life traumas. By working with the Akashic Records, she was able to release those old wounds and transform her life for the better.
If you can relate to Lora’s story, I invite you to learn more about the benefits of working with the Akashic Records in this article:
Have you ever felt like there’s something holding you back, even though you can’t quite put your finger on what it is? Do you struggle with recurring patterns in your relationships or find it hard to break free from limiting beliefs? If so, you may have unresolved traumas from past lives that are still affecting you today.
But the good news is, you don’t have to keep carrying this weight around with you forever. By working with the Akashic Records, you can access the memories and experiences of your soul’s journey and begin to heal those old wounds.
The Akashic Records are like a cosmic library that contains all the information about your soul’s past, present, and future. When you learn to access this information, you can gain a deeper understanding of who you are and why you’re here, as well as uncovering the root causes of your current challenges.
One of the most powerful benefits of working with the Akashic Records is the ability to heal past traumas. Often, the experiences we have in past lives can carry over into our current lifetime, creating patterns and beliefs that hold us back. These past life traumas can manifest as physical, emotional, or mental blockages that prevent us from living our lives to the fullest.
Tumblr media
But when you work with the Akashic Records, you can begin to release these blockages and heal old wounds. By accessing the memories of your past lives, you can gain a deeper understanding of the events that led to your trauma and begin to release the negative energy associated with those experiences. This can lead to profound shifts in your current life, including improved relationships, increased confidence and self-esteem, and a greater sense of purpose and direction.
Of course, working with the Akashic Records requires guidance and support from someone who has experience in accessing and interpreting the records. That’s why I’m excited to offer my Past Lives Akashic Records class, where you can learn the tools and techniques you need to access your own records and begin your healing journey.
In this class, you’ll learn how to connect with your guides and access the Akashic Records, as well as how to interpret the information you receive. You’ll discover the root causes of your current challenges and learn how to release past life traumas and blockages. And you’ll gain a deeper understanding of your soul’s journey, helping you to live a more fulfilling and purposeful life.
So if you’re ready to let go of old traumas and begin your journey of healing and self-discovery, I encourage you to sign up for my Past Lives Akashic Records class today. You’ll gain the tools and support you need to access the wisdom of your soul’s journey and transform your life for the better. Don’t wait – your soul’s healing journey starts now! you're not a monster. you're you. you're flawed, yes, but you're also incredibly alive. just human. real. capable of great things, capable of change and growth, too. don't define yourself by the inner critic lashing out at you. you're not your worst moments.

An apparently unpopular opinion: disabled people can have and do their hobbies. They deserve to have fun. They deserve to live their lives.
Their inability to do some things (like work, for example) does not mean they should be judged for… idk hanging out with their friends or to going outside. After all, having interests outside of work is often essential to our mental and physical health OUTSIDE of our disability.
And also *you might want to sit down for this* disabled people know what’s disabling for them (unless they people-please or push through due to necessity or survival of some sort). Disabilities don’t have to be visible or persistent to be disabling.
So yeah - my declaration: if an activity you want to do feels good and you’re able to do it, then do it. REGARDLESS OF YOUR DISABILITY WITH OTHER THINGS.

I’ve seen a few people talk about the importance of the axe, but I wanted to put my take on it out there too.
Lisa watched her mom get axe murdered, and then her life was uprooted. She had nobody there for her (except taffy but she was misguided). And this person comes along, one who knows her better than anyone, and uses an axe to kill someone right in front of her.
Tumblr media
Only this time, the axe is used to protect her. Something that destroyed her entire life is now being wielded by the one person she’s beginning to trust and feel seen and heard by.
And I don’t think it’s wrong for her to be thrilled and morbidly infatuated by this!!! Reclaiming and healing from trauma isn’t always pretty like everyone wants it to be, especially for young women and girls.
Tumblr media
The axe becomes something to protect her and get revenge on those who hurt her. People who were supposed to be good to her, that she THOUGHT were good to her, but betrayed her.
The axe is something that she now wields.
Tumblr media
She gets to reclaim it. She gets to trust someone again. She gets to feel loved, seen, and heard.
This movie is about reclaiming trauma as much as it is about a zombie love story!!!
