Heya guys I just need to vent because a Redditor was arguing with me and couldn't handle someone disagreeing with him so said something infuriatingly dumb and blocked me so I'm just gonna post my mini rant here so I don't explode. Also a rant/explanation in the tags bc why not.
Okay here goes
Oh boo fucking hoo let me throw some words at you, pretend like you're the bad guy because "hurr Durr I saw your profile", make up the idea that I never complained about anything else (which is false) and then block me so that I can't actually argue with you. Nice strawmanning technique all in all.
Idgaf that the IS-3 was *developed* but a few years after the Tiger, it's still broken as shit. And what does the time frame of its development have to do with the balance of the game? Because if that's what we're going for, then the 76 Jumbo, being ALSO made in 1944 just like the IS-3 should *obviously* be a 7.0 and not 6.3, right? RIGHT? And since the 75 Jumbo is just the same tank but with a smaller gun it should OBVIOUSLY go up from 5.3 to 6.0 at least.
I'm being an asshole because *you* are being pretentious and *I* don't feel like pretending either of us is better. I know you won't see it, but I do hope you have a second account, because people like you tend to have one, so you can see this and continue to seethe at the idea that not everyone agrees with you.
#personal anecdote#bullshit#you utter bastards#ramblings of a madman#war thunder#this was about how the new BR changes mean the Tiger H1 that used to be BR 5.3 is now 6.0 and can see the IS-3 in battle which is 7.0#which is utter bullshit because you have to jump through so many hoops to be able tkill an IS-3 with a Tiger#its the same issue with the 75 Jumbo and the Tiger but at least the Jumbo could pen the Tiger at a flat angle frontally at close range#the Tiger meanwhile can't do ANYTHING to an IS-3 frontally#the Tiger also has a massive cupola which is its biggest weakspot so the Jumbo can shoot that too but the IS-3 DOESN'T have a cupola at all#the bro i was arguing with even said “just run away dude” AS IF THAT'S AN INDICATION OF GOOD BALANCING#literally the only way you're gonna beat an IS-3 in a Tiger H1 is if the IS-3 just presents his side to you OR#or if you shoot his barrel (which is hard) and his tracks and he lets you do all of that and THEN you go around him to shoot his side#for which btw you have to obviously be at close range and nothing guarantees you WILL be at close range to an IS-3#and ON TOP OF THAT#you also need to hope the IS-3 has no support which is highly unlikely even regularly but especially now#cuz people are gonna see an IS-3 and think “if i follow him i get easy kills”#so like i said#HOOPS UPON HOOPS#and the redditors only argument was “well uh ackshually ☝️🤓 the IS-3 was developed very close to the Tiger so its fine bc muh realism”

I've just re-read the short lived duel that Aeneas and Achilles have in Book 20 of the Iliad and it's actually the most hilarious fucking thing.
So it starts out with Apollo disguising himself as Lycaon, one of Priam's many sons, and telling to have a go at Achilles. Keep in mind that this is post-Patroclus Achilles. Aka: berserk Achilles. Aka: so fucking mad he would fight a literal river Achilles.
Aeneas, who is capable of critical thinking, says he doubts he can actually take him on. He also references a time when he was herding cattle on Mount Ida and Achilles ambushed him, adding that the only reason he survived then was because Zeus gave him enough strength to book it (cracking up the official times that he's been saved by a god from certain death to 3, you go dude!).
Tumblr media
However, after a bit of back and forth and a ton of hyping up on Apollo's part, Aeneas decides to try anyway.
Like, what could possibly go wrong?
Achilles notices Aeneas charging at him and he begins to taunt him. It's something among the lines of: "I'm sorry, are you, background trojan character #61, actually gonna try and beat me? And then what? Do you think that Priam will reward you in some way? Maybe making you king after him? Well it's BULLSHIT, because Priam fucked so much that your chances of succeeding him are basically 0. Ahah. Loser."
Tumblr media
Now, you'd think that maybe Aeneas got enraged at the comment and attacked him, or maybe he even got scared and backed down, but NOPE. What does Aeneas do?
Well, first of all, he insults Achilles' insults, comparing his bickering to that of a child. Literally, "I heard third graders do better than that." And then he decides to list his and Hector's entire fucking family tree.
You know that part of the Bible that's like "this guy sired this other guy, and this other guy sired yet another guy" and so on? It's basically that.
Tumblr media
So after he's done with all that, Aeneas states that while he'd love to have a battle of insults with Achilles, because according to him he's actually very good at insulting people (his words, not mine), they should probably throw hands now. Achilles agrees.
Tumblr media
The duel is shortlived and Aeneas gets his ass handed to him. Badly. As expected. And he's about die when ✨️POV shift✨️ we're not on Olympus where Poseidon, Hera and Athena are watching this absolute train wreck go down.
Poseidon, pitying Aeneas, suddenly goes on a rant. It's something among the lines of: "come on guys, look at him, he's just a little guy! He literally has no stakes in this war, he doesn't deserve to die here! He even gives us lots of gifts and sacrifices, he's literally such a nice guy. How can we do this to him!?
...oh and also he's part of some prophecy, Zeus would get mad if he died."
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The fact that the way it's worded makes it sound like Aeneas being part of a literal prophecy is an afterthought to him absolutely floors me, Poseidon is literally just attached to a random dude that's fighting on the opposite side to his because he thinks he's nice.
After all that Hera is pretty unimpressed and states that she really doesn't care if our man lives or dies as neither her or Athena have ever saved a Trojan from death, she however adds that Poseidon is free to do whatever he wants.
Tumblr media
The literal moment Hera stops talking, Poseidon lunges down from Olympus and onto the battlefield to look for the two combatants. When he does, he saves Aeneas like only he can do.
You know how when Diomedes first tries to kill Aeneas, Aphrodite gently folds her hands around him to shield him? There's none of that here. Poseidon just runs up to him and literally flings the motherfucker.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
It literally says that he flies "high in the air". It's like a Looney Toons sketch.
So Aeneas lands and, while he's obviously a bit dazed, Poseidon proceeds to call him a madman and essentially tells him to never do something stupid like that again and just wait until Achilles is dead, then he'll be able to murder Achaeans to his heart's content. Aeneas is fine with that.
Achilles, who just saw his opponent just get yeeted into the fucking sky, just shrugs and goes "welp, guess that guy's off limits, I'm gonna go kill someone else now I guess lol".
Tumblr media
This entire scene is pure fucking gold and the fact that I've literally never seen anyone talk about it just breaks my heart.

this most definitely isnt an original thought and i've probably heard it on a podcast before but. i am so married to todd's sweaty tooth madman poem being a metaphor for not accepting being gay.
so here's me picking the whole thing apart (and not proofreading anything)
so starting with
Tumblr media
the sweaty toothed madman of course being walt whitman, who we all know is (at least rumoured to be) gay. now the interpretation of whitman being a metaphor for todd's sexuality is nothing new, but i'd like to expand on it.
"i close my eyes and this image floats beside me"
i see this as any moment todd has to himself, no matter where he is, he is reminded whitman/ the fact that he's gay. the specific usage of closing your eyes to mean that the image/ reminder is always there, always following. i see the use of the words "beside me" in a couple different ways. either to suggest that the reminder is just out of view, being pushed away just enough to not be the main focus and more something you see in your peripheral, or in a 3rd person perspective, seeing todd and the imagery of walt beside eachother, coinciding with eachother. i could see both interpretations working equally as well, or even comined.
"the sweaty-toothed madman with a stare that pounds my brain"
THIS LINE. i loooove his use of sweaty toothed!!!!!
if you're not sure what sweaty toothed means, it just kinda means ur teeth r. wet. drooly mouth. i see this madman being sweaty toothed to mean that he's "hungry", not literally, but more desiring something. this being truth, which i'll get into later.
the stare that pounds my brain. oh man. ok so obviously this means that the image/ thought is intimidating, terrifying, threatening. the implication that todd being gay is as much of a threat to his life/ wellbeing as a madman that has it out for him, both ideas causing him an insane amount of stress.
Tumblr media
this line is fairly simple to me, the reminder goes from something that terrifies you but ultimately can go unacknowledged, to a constant, overbearing thought that suffocates you enough that you HAVE to face it in some way or another. todd is facing it fearfully, letting it take control of him and how he acts rather than tackling the idea himself. he is defenseless against this part of him
Tumblr media
truth (ur gay)
todd thinkin this truth will leave him unsatisfied in life :-( not only in the love sense tho! with his family too, if they find out god forbid, theyll surely view him differently and cast him off even farther than they already do. i also like to think this is him lowkey complaining that the blankets at welton are too small.
this also, devastatingly enough, reminds me of the bit from rocketman where elton comes out to his mom.
clip from rocketman (2019)
and he's mumbling. he's mumbling! this truth is still cloudy, not full realised, still being pushed away. whitman wants the truth, todd wants the truth, but he's still not ready, everything's still uncertain. this uncertain truth could also pertain to todd's feelings toward neil specifically, but i dont think that was the intention. todd does exist as his own person!
Tumblr media
this ones simple again. you can fight off your feelings and sexuality all you want but it still wont really lead you anywhere you wanna be. you either end up marrying someone you dont love (women), or you end up alone. also the heavy emphasis on physical violence toward the Truth Blanket could be a metaphor for the physical danger todd would be in if anyone found out, but im not hellbent on that idea.
Tumblr media
god. "from the moment we enter crying, to the moment we leave dying," is a BEAUTIFUL way to convey "your entire life" todd you have such a way with words. anyway. i take this as something like. this is something you're born with and cant change, todd was born gay, obviously, and it will never go away with any amount of effort. hence the wailing, crying, and screaming.
also i view the specific line of "it will just cover your face" in a couple different ways. either to mean this truth will suffocate you no matter what you do, or this truth will leave you needing to hide major parts of yourself from the world.
this got a bit repetitive, i apologise. but i still have more to say.
some parts of this poem i find to be a bit too wordy to have been come up with on the spot. do i think todd is talented enough to do so? absolutely! but i just dont think that's the case. i have no doubt in my mind that a LOT of what he said in front of the class was either already on his mind, or was written down beforehand but eventually scrapped.
specifics i have in mind are the concepts of a sweaty toothed madman and a blanket that leaves your feet cold. i dont think this sweaty toothed madman was written specifically with whitman in mind, i think it was just a vessel for his anxiety generally. but the blanket i just KNOW was thought out and written down with the intention to like. be a metaphor for being unsatisfied.
and that only makes the class laughing at that line that much worse, no wonder he wanted to stop! not only was todd incredibly brave for continuing after, but keating was unimaginably quick to get the focus back to the poem. he knew that metaphor meant something to todd, and choosing to expand on that was actually an amazing way to drive that home.
either way, todd's far more brave than i ever could be. i'd be shitting myself up there.
also if u disagree with any of these points are wanna add anything then TELL MEEEE!!! art is anything but subjective and i looove seeing how you guys view things like this.

S, I just came up with this idea. Listen..
Sebastian just losing it for Steve, he loves Chris, he's fucking weak for him. But sometimes, he looks at Steve on the screen in CA:TWS or Civil War, and just can't take it, he wants that guy. And imagine him talking Chris into role playing Steve just for him, when he's got the blonde hair, the bulk and all that. He just wants to be treated well by Steve, and not as Bucky, just himself, he can't help it.
That was it thank you very much.
Tumblr media
I do love this idea! I love it a lot. And I think this kind of fits with my fic, "Character Bleed," obviously it's not the same concept, but if you haven't read that, I think you'd like it 👀
I mean, we know that Chris feels like this for Bucky on a PG level. Remember that con panel where he said he has a soft spot for him, bursting out with "I was gonna defend Sebastian, he's not a villian, he's a victim really!"? I remember it well. I especially remember Sebastian's happy little, 'he loves me' wiggle. It was the cutest!
(16:53-17:21)
So... I can totally see this happening with Sebastian in a PG-13 to R-rated way 😏 and I would like to imagine that it spills out of Sebastian accidentally, too.
Over the years and years of playing these characters, so much of Sebastian has become tangled up in Bucky, so much of Bucky is tangled up in Sebastian (which reminds of the top Chris quote in this gif set, too), and after the years of being with Chris, his infatuation still the same, maybe even worse now, realistically, it's only natural.
His heart speeds in his chest whenever he sees Chris and, usually, the effect is the same when he sees him larger than life on screen, portaying a character. Chris only has one face and it's just so goddamn handsome. He can't help it. C'mon! It's not fair! What's a man supposed to do?
And no matter how embarrassed Sebastian is of his simmering, latent, years long crush on Steve Rogers because of his affection for his boyfriend, Chris Evans--who is real and not fictional and more than enough, of course--he'll never say it willingly.
It only comes to a head because of the fucking sledgehammer to the head that is Nomad Steve Rogers.
Tumblr media
That's so much closer to the Chris that Sebastian gets to love every day with his thick beard and his natural, untamed body hair and just his bigness, but it's also still so Steve.
It's Steve elevated.
It's Steve irresistible.
It's Steve knee-weakeningly hot.
So knee-weakening that when they're shooting, Infinity War over one of the the weekends, too wrapped up in each other to go out with the rest of the crew, hitting the town, it happens.
They're wrapped up, consumed in each other. Sebastian is pressed roughly back into their rented apartment bed, the sheets mused and ruined, the air thick, and his legs are spread as wide as they can be but they're still tense, still squeezed tight around Chris' impossibly broad shoulders. Those fucking shoulders--they're just so huge that he can't not press against them, no matter how shamelessly he opens himself to be taken and he loves it.
He loves how little and surrounded Chris makes him feel, always having to fight to make room for him. He's so big. Larger than life especially when he's been bulking and working out like a madman for the silver screen. Jesus, it feels as though Chris hardly fits between his legs sometimes. Like. Shit. He belongs there, between Sebastian's legs, having his way with him, wringing all the pleasure he wants from him. But he's so big!
Big and heavy, pressing down on him. Keeping him in place as if he would dream of going anywhere else. He dreams of this--Chris' palms broad and hot and owning, gripping handfuls of his thighs and ass, groping him, leaving finger- and handprint bruises where no one else will see. Underneath his costume, bruises that will ache when he stretches later, warming up for stunts and making his face warm with the secret, too.
(If only the makeup artists could see, they'd tease him and tut at him, playfully scolding him for getting it so hard when he knows he has to be on camera. Couldn't he have waited a few more days? Couldn't he have controlled himself for a little longer? God, Sebastian shudders impulsively, hot.)
So, Chris' there.
He's taking up space there, between his legs. Big, broad, and feverish, taking handfuls of him, taking mouthfuls of him, devouring him, first leaving marks across his skin with his lips and teeth and tongue, then sucking him off like he wants to kill him. Murdering him with how good it feels. Hot. Wet. Tight. Sucking him down, the slick, soft insides of his cheeks, the thrilling edge of his teeth, just hinted at, the depth of his throat.
Oh, God.
It's so distracting. He's so good. So good at this. He's gotten so good at this over the years that Sebastian is losing his mind. He loses his mind every time, now. He knows just what he likes.
So, Sebastian's grasping the sheets, fisting them so hard his knuckles are white, whimpering. Breathless. And Chris does fucking something, something with his tongue that he can't comprehend when he's so hard, throbbing, he just--
Sebastian arches and moves, feverish, squirming, reaching swiftly, grabbing and holding onto Chris' hair, dyed dirty blonde and long enough to really fucking hold on.
Then, to make it worse, Chris goes with his frantic hold, letting himself be directed, humoring Sebastian for now, until he wants to take control back; he dives deep, deep throating him, humming, letting him sweat with the vibrations that gut him. So overwhelmed with how fucking erotic it is, how good it feels, Sebastian is groaning, mouth open. He can't think. He can't stop.
It simply escapes him.
He can barely see through the tears in his eyes, his head spinning, but he's blinking, staring down at his shaking hands fisted in that blonde hair, and whining, "St-Steve!"
Suddenly, Sebastian is cursing how good of an actor his boyfriend is--how willing he is to "yes, and" because while Sebastian wants to curl up into a ball, tingling with arousal that's being rapidly taken over by superheated embarrassment, his nerves spitting and sparking like faulty wiring, Chris is chuckling. Just for a moment, though. The dark vibrations feel like fire. Hot as fuck. But that laugh, rich and dangerous, disappears and is replaced with Chris' touch. Chris has let go of one of his thighs to gather his right wrist, then his left--Sebastian hadn't even realized his hands had unweaved themselves from his golden fucking head of hair, making him see double, but they had. His hands are covering his own mouth. They were. Chris is putting them back in his own hair and he's--
"Ohh, oh, God!"
He's making him hold onto his hair and he's pushing himself down, down, pressing his nose to the flat of his lower stomach, swallowing around him, making him feel so good that his hips jerk sharply up. Chris doesn't choke and Sebastian dies. Just a little bit. Dying. He's sucking him like a beast and he's just, just... it's like he's urging him on, it's like he's--
Without his hands to cover his mouth and shut himself up, Sebastian moans again, "Steve!"
It's like he's trying to get him to say it!
Between his legs, Chris is determined, there's just the hint of a smirk on his mouth, curled up around his aching cock. And in his eyes--
Sebastian knows that look.
Fuck.
He knows it!
He knows the determination; he knows the steel in his gaze; he knows the dangerous glint and he fucking sees Steve.
"Pluh-please, please!" Sebastian gasps, overwhelmed, trying to hold himself off but failing spectacularly, "please, Steve!" His outcry is immediately followed by half-whimpering, half-panting, "'m sorryy!"
He's so fucking embarrassed that his face is tingling; he couldn't be blushing more, but he also can't stop himself, his body is rushing, pulsing, throbbing, and too sensitive to stop. It's too much! There's no brakes, only more gas.
Steve, Steve--Chris, er, whatever.
Chris won't have it, though.
Chris isn't just looking at him with that bastard fucker, stubborn stare that's pure Steve Rogers--Steve Rogers who won't and doesn't know how to put his head down and give up, not giving up now--Chris is lowering his voice and putting that lilt in it that's booming, authoritative, and empowering.
Actually, that voice is not so different from his usual, deep, rumbling, this-is-making-my-dick-hard voice, and the association is going to ruin Sebastian for the rest of his life. Every time they're on set from now on, he's gonna think about this and he's gonna fucking die of mortification.
Chris has so easily slipped into that voice. That role. Criminally easily, he's started being Steve.
Steve.
Steve ordering Sebastian around like he's making calls on a battle field as he pulls off his cock with a slurp, leaning his broad shoulders back, confident and cocky, a fucking leader, "you're gonna cum for me, baby. C'mon. I see it. It's right there. I know it is." While he talks like that, he jerks Sebastian off hard. Dick wet and sloppy from his dreamy mouth. Squeezing his throbbing hard-on until Seb gasps hard enough his throat hurts, he's going raw.
"You're gonna gimme what I want, baby," Steve tells him, "and you're gonna show me how pretty you are by cumming."
Sebastian is just a man.
Just a man on edge with an order to fall over it. So, he cums.
Hard.
He cums, pumping, throbbing, and shattering in Steve's hands. A fucking wet dream worthy man--his flowing, blonde hair, his voice, his beard, his stupidly broad chest and shoulders, his torn, dusty uniform, his hands, and those fucking gloves. Sebastian can see those gloves, his rolled uniform sleeves, exposed forearms, all of it. He can see it painted on the back of his eyelids as his eyes roll back, breaking apart with pleasure.
He makes a mess of Steve's beard and plush lips and the site of it, when he manages to peel his eyes open, it makes him wanna cum again.
Now.
Please.

Serial Shouta Saturday (1/2)
notes/warnings: 18+, fem reader; this scenario will absolutely not get out of my fucking head, I'm so sorry; this is also a two-parter that wraps up next week (I PROMISE) so I'm extra sorry; unrealistic undercover AU scenario that exists for no other purpose but to set up dom daddy vibes Shouta; lots of Daddy and kitten in this one; this is your last warning: either join me in suspending disbelief about the technical details of undercover work/crime that I have surely missed, or wait until I get this out of my system
Tumblr media
You got out of the expensive car and instinctively moved to tug at the hem of your extremely short and revealing mini-dress.
A large, strong hand grabbed your wrist and yanked it up.
"Now, now sweet kitten, none of that. You know I like it when everyone else has to look at what they can't touch."
"I'm sorry, Daddy." You leaned into him to hide your blush. It was still hard for you to use that word. You wondered if news stations reported on things like that. Goodness, you hoped not. It already had to be destroying your mother and father to think that their little girl was the moll of the man everyone thought was the city's newest major crime boss, but knowing that you called that man "daddy" might actually kill them.
Eraser Head gently lifted your hand to his lips, and gave it the lightest kiss. "It's OK, angel. You're very cute when you're my shy little good girl."
There was a pause. Then he mouthed, "Are you ready?"
"Yes, Daddy," you said in the softest, most docile voice you could muster.
Eraser Head kept his arm tight around your waist as the doormen waved you both in. The hostess darted her eyes toward his usual corner, and he escorted you to your regular booth. There were three men already seated, clearly cranky. You wondered how late you and Eraser were for the meeting; he delighted in making people wait for him.
"Gentlemen," he said, acknowledging them with a slight dip of the head, "forgive me." They obviously didn't, and he knew they didn't, but he continued. "I believe you've all met my darling little kitten before. Say hello again to the nice men, kitten."
"Good evening, sirs," you said, following it up with some quick bows. As they returned your greeting, the three men looked at him with expectation and fear. You guessed that made sense: people who acted in unpredictable ways were scary. And, as far as these men knew, Eraser Head was a murderous madman who had cut off his own fucking leg. Pretty unpredictable.
On this evening, Eraser chose to laugh. The men did too, but in that fake and forced way that one might laugh when there is a gun pointed at one's head.
He took his seat and roughly pulled you into the booth after him, immediately making quite a show of moving his hand underneath the hem of your skimpy little dress so he could start fondling your ass and thighs. He closed his eye and hummed with delight. The men across from you were clearly bewildered.
Eventually, he gave you a little pinch.
"Daddy!" you protested, and even you were surprised by how all the training you had done had sunk in: you were now instinctively using the higher-pitched, soft, vulnerable voice you had developed for this character.
Eraser leaned down and kissed your nose. "I'm sorry, kitten," he said, moving his hand back up to your waist. "How am I supposed to help myself?"
There was the most awkward silence until he spoke again. "Gentlemen," he said, "is what you have to tell me more interesting that my beautiful little angel here?"
It only took a few moments for you both to realize that yes, what these men had to say was very interesting. You leaned into Eraser, trying not to be distracted by how hot his body was, or how hot he looked with his eyepatch and his hair up, or by his hands, which were wandering all over you, because, now that they were speaking, it was time for you to work.
Compared to past eras, the newest generations of heroes had a disproportionately large number--Mindjack and Maboromicamie were probably the best known--of people whose quirks were not rooted in physical prowess. These heroes had been able to exploit familiar doctrines and strategies and both hero and villain alliances were still scrambling to adjust.
As part of their larger response, the HPSC had recruited you. Quirkless you. Hyperthymesic you. Scans could detect Quirks, but no scan on earth could detect the power of your memory. You could remember everything about every day of your life going back to your earliest years. Who was in a room, where you were, what happened at what time...what was said. A bit of training transformed you into the ultimate stealth recording weapon. You had become Eraser Head's new "girlfriend" about five months ago, and the two of you had been gathering information for Detective Tsukauchi ever since.
As Eraser continued conversing with the men, he started fondling your neck, stroking it with his thumb, squeezing it in ways that made you gasp and feel fuzzy-headed. There was a part of you that was very ashamed by this, but it really turned you on when he touched you like that, and you started making the most imperceptible little sighs and even running your hands over his own body. He grunted back in appreciation. The man who was talking to him stopped.
"Continue," said Eraser. "But be warned, you are now becoming far less interesting than precious little kitten here."
They talked for about fifteen more minutes, and, by the time Eraser Head abruptly ended the conversation, the hand that he had been using to cradle his drink for most of the evening had wandered so far up your thighs that he was practically fingering you. This may have been a response to your own hands, which had wandered all the way down his chest, and, well, maybe you had brushed against his cock along the way.
Eraser paraded you out of the establishment slowly, making a big show of it, but he was straining to control himself in a way you had never seen before. He practically pushed you into the car before barking, "HOME" at the driver and putting up the privacy screen.
You were laying down on the car's bench seat and he settled himself on top of you, leaning in very close. Knowing you were trapped under him was the most exhilarating and arousing thing.
"You had wandering hands tonight, kitten." His voice was even deeper than it usually was, and it was full of dangerous promises.
"I'm sorry, Daddy."
"I don't think you are, kitten. I think you wanted to be a naughty girl and distract me." He forced his knee between your legs as he gently stroked your face.
"Daddy?" You looked up at him unsure. Was this all still part of the game, the act?
"Yes, Kitten?" He rolled his hips, grinding into your body. He was hard. Not an act. Not a game.
You wrapped your arms around him, digging your nails into his back. "More, Daddy," you said softly. "I need more. Please, Daddy?"
He started to roll his hips again, so very, very slowly. When you tried to buck up your own hips to meet him, he roughly forced you back down and hissed, "You should have stayed still, my little kitten. Just for that, I'm going to start over again."
You thought you were going to die if you didn't have his powerful pressure hitting all your most sensitive places soon, but you laid still while he started over.
Just as he was about to give you what you craved, the car stopped. Were you at "your" building already?
Eraser Head's hand cupped your breast, drawing out a gasp that couldn't help but definitively confirm how turned on you were.
He placed a few heated kisses on the side of your neck as he continued to caress you. You leaned your head back and moaned, which allowed him to put his lips right next to your ear, in just the perfect place to whisper, "Kitten, let Daddy tell you how the rest of this night is going to go..."

i think you can tell a lot about a person by what their phone case looks like so here's what i think the choir kids' phone cases look like:
ocean: she probably has a plain navy blue otterbox because she is very concerned about protecting her phone and also doesn't think brightly colored phone cases are "professional." however, there is one small smiley-face sticker on the bottom left corner, courtesy of Constance
noel: he has one of those clear phone cases where you can stick things underneath. he probably puts a lot of thought into the theme of his phone case and spends hours meticulously curating the right items to put on his phone case. he probably has vintage newspaper clippings, dried rose petals, polaroids, movie tickets, etc. on there
mischa: no phone case, his phone is completely unprotected, the absolute madman. he took #yolo a little too seriously. he has a bright red iPhone though
ricky: cat-themed phone case, obviously. i also like to think it's heavily embellished --like he has dangling phone charms, stickers, etc. (all cat-themed or cat adjacent, ofc). i also think that a glow-in-the-dark, space-themed phone case is in the realm of possibility
constance: she has MULTIPLE phone cases and switches them out every few months. they're in all colors of the rainbow (pastels, neons, etc.) AND she has phone charms. she likes to stick polaroids of her friends/family on there and I'm also 89% sure she would be a k-pop stan so she probably adds photocards, too.
jane: either she does not have a phone, has a rlly old phone that can't actually have a case, OR one of those fuzzy phone cases with the stuffed animals on them.

What do you think about the relationship between All might and Shouto? I would have thought they would have quite the complicated and interesting one. All might being the reason he was born and hurt inadvertently while being Shouto’s idol and All might learning of Shouto’s traumatizing childhood by someone who he thought he could have called a comrade or at least a fellow hero.
I really love how their relationship grew in the course of the story and how it came together in the end in a truly beautiful moment.
I wrote a meta long ago about Shouto's arc and how it fits in with All Might's legacy, and another one about their relationship up to the remedial arc - and I think what I said in these is still very much relevant and the story did end up going into the direction I've expected.
So I will not repeat what I've said in those, but focus more on the events post-remedial arc.
While Shouto's turbulent relationship to Endeavor and learing to see his father for who he really is - hero and flawed human being - is a huge part of his arc, All Might is there as a constant, a touchstone, the ideal Shouto never again wants to lose sight of: a reassuring hero.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
For Shouto this picture of All Might is very personal - it's not about his rank, or Symbol on a societal level, but a comforting presence that child Shouto can hang onto. Someone who instinctively makes him feel that things can be ok, that he can be in control of his destiny and decide who he wants to be for himself.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
He strives to be this kind of person - someone who makes others feel at ease just by being there - and this gives him the drive to improve - something he was lacking before.
Then the Dabi reveal happens, and Shouto is suddenly mixed up with the public reveal of all the dirty laundry of the Todoroki family, exposed to all of Japan as a genetic experiment of his madman father, who created him out of jelousy and grudge of the nations beloved All Might.
Tumblr media
Shouto suddenly loses all the progress he made - his reputation is in the mud, people see him as "Endeavor's son, Dabi's brother", view him with concern and judge him based on his family, not his own merits. Despite all his personal growth, and mastery over his quirk, he's as far as he can be from his goal of being seen as "Shouto" - his own person, a reassuring hero following in All Might's steps.
On the other side, we have All Might. He originally saw Shouto merely as another talented student, a son of a colleague, a rival to his own protege. But during the Remedial arc, he visibly got closer both to Bakugou and Shouto on a personal level and I'll never get over the fact that it was All Might who was with the both of them when they got their hero licenses and had their public debut as heroes.
All Might also does have an inkling about Endeavor's motives of "creating Shouto" after the Sport Festival and their Remedial talk, but both times he decides to stay out of the family matter and of what he sees as a "discord" between father and son.
So when Dabi publicly exposes Endeavor's jealousy, the abuse in the family and just how deep the rabbit hole is and how All Might is connected to it (even if obviously he had no idea), I was really curious how he'll handle it.
I feel like he didn't know what to say - to Shouto (like a sorry would feel empty and also none of it is All Might's fault) or to Endeavor (who was already changing and feeling ashamed and guilty about everything) so he just kind of said nothing.
But then the final clash happens and the hero's plan goes to shit, and Dabi is on his way to blow Gunga up and AFO is on his way to Deku - and suddenly there is a choice to make. And this is the point where All Might chooses something he has never done before - he chooses to meddle with the Todoroki family.
He calls Shouto and Iida to convince them to go to Gunga instead of trying to intercept AFO. And his conversation with Shouto is so heartfelt and warm. Reassuring. He says nothing about the family history - he talks to Shouto about his heart, validating all the pain and emotional trouble he carried and gives him a way to be who he wants to be. To save his family AND the civilians. To be the hero to reassure people and diffuse the threat.
Tumblr media
I think this is All Might's gift to Shouto in a way - his attempt to set things right for him, even if he had no responsibility in the way the Todoroki family turned out. Because without All Might, I have no doubt in my mind that Shouto would have chosen to confront AFO - prioritize the more important threat, like a hero would over his own family mess (of course, he had no knowledge of the explosion brewing in Gunga).
And I also think that All Might even knew that Endeavor likely would try his murder - suicide plan and kill himself and Touya in order to save everyone (of course, even All Might couldn't have counted on Rei intervening). But All Might doesn't want Shouto to have to live with that choice of not trying everything in his power to save his father and brother.
All Might is right in that if Shouto and Iida don't go, there is no version of Gunga where nobody dies. So he gives Shouto a chance of a "perfect save" with no losses. To be a hero that Endeavor never was: someone who can reconcile saving both his family and everyone else.
So I love the way that All Might who was Shouto's childhood hope and insipiration of being able to rise above his own dark origin, in the end was just that. He didn't swoop in to save Shouto - he helped him giving him reassurance, validaton, encouragement, and a path to achieve his goal.
So their arc together came to a really nice full circle - All Might just being this warm, comforting presence in Shouto's arc of healing and finding his way as his own person. Their relationship was an exploration of another facet of being a hero that's beyond beating up the bad guys and saving people. A bit less tangible than "win and save", but if you look at what divides All Might and Endeavor (beyond just power gap), it becomes clear that this ability to put people at ease and inspire and reassure them is also a core feature of a true hero.
And I love how also for All Might it shows growth. He goes from staying out of the business of the Todoroki family to living up to his own words about meddling being the true sign of a hero.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
It's this idea that ties together All Might, Deku, Iida and Shouto, from the Sport Festival to Stain to Kamino to the Deku retrieval and in the endgame then bringing tying it all together in a neat bow makes this theme one of the best and most consistently written ones in the story in my opinion.

Regulus Black absolutely loves his name. I mean who wouldn't, he's named after a freaking star. And in Regulus' opinion, it's the most beautiful star in the world. Although Sirius Black would strongly disagree.
Regulus, although he loves his name, hates it at the same time. Is that possible? Maybe not but Regulus doesnt care, he loves and hates his name and no one can change his mind.
Regulus has told a lot of people he hates his name, if you count Evan Rosier, Barty Crouch jr and Pandora Lovegood as a lot like Regulus does. And even they think Regulus is barking mad usually giving him reasons why when it comes out in a conversation.
Regulus tunes them out.
Anyways,
When asked why Regukus hates his name
'Would you like to be named after your great uncle who followed a noseless, sadistic blood purist?' Is always his response. And whoever asked this question would look at Regulus like he was mad because everyone at hogwarts thinks he follow that madman, not many people know that Regulus ran away to the Potter that summer.
Regulus would walk away from them.
Another thing Regulus hates about his name is the lack of creative nicknames.
All Regulus hears is 'Reg' and 'Reggie' and he is tired of the lack of creativity.
So obviously when James Potter suddenly called him 'lulu' in potions class while their partnering one day, Regulus' heart skips a beat or two.
'Good morning lulu' James Potter says as he all but struts into potions class, with Sirius, Remus and Peter following close behind, and in Regulus' opinion looks like a walking wet dream.
*Regulus would deny this fact till his death though.*
Regulus looks up from his book and raises a lazy eyebrow at the boy who has come to a stop at his table "lulu?, couldn't you come up with something better?"
"Merlin James, lulu? seriously?" Sirius says from his spot beside James
James, like the unbothered idiot he is, just shrugs and sits in the chairs beside Regulus.
Regulus immediately gets a whiff of James' body soap. Is that Lavender? "And what might I ask are you doing here Potter"
"Well, I shit at potions and your the best in the class so I thought we could partner up for this class, and if your willing maybe for the rest of the year?" James potter, like the shameless buffoon he is, smiles at Regulus and this makes Regulus loose all sense of reasoning for 3.5 seconds, and this gives James the impression that Regulus has agreed.
Regulus had but James didnt need to know that.
After regaining all sense of reasoning, Regulus look to Sirius to see what he had to say on the matter, just to find his brother making heart eyes at Remus John Lupin. The fucking werewolf. Regulus loved Remus, why wouldn't he the man loves all the books he loves and unlike his brother and friends, he was calm.
And to no surprise of Regulus, Remus was making heart eyes back at Sirius.
Regulus would have said something to them but professor slughorn chose that moment to walk in.
Regulus would never admit it but he enjoyed having James next to him during class.
Regulus would also never admit he loves it when James calls him lulu.

Idk if this submitted the first time (you can delete this ask if it did)
But one thing that I will forever fine funny is that the almost everyone in the COD fandom saw soap in a collar and was like “yeah that checks out”. I think soap would wear it as a joke since it was a gag gift or if he lost a bet/ did a dare but later on would wear it again since it’s not only practical but comfortable on missions and work well. Que the boys just losing it gaz is definitely the one who gave it to him to cause chaos that price has to watch he probably also got a lot of comments he either flirted back or told them to shut up. How everyone reacted is up to you :3
It didn’t submit for some reason but I’m glad you submitted again cause I saw a couple tik toks with Soap in the radio collar things that military dudes have in movies and this is fuelling me.
I reckon it starts with the military use ones and for some reason Soap is just pulling it off different and it’s giving everyone ideas. Gaz can see this and because he likes causing Price pain, when they’re on their next lull between missions he gets a legit collar and gives it to Soap.
Obviously they made a bet first, and of course Gaz did it with something that he absolutely knew Soap would lose at so there Soap goes, walking around base with the collar for the next two weeks.
I reckon the pure fact that the collar isn’t military will make everyone lose their minds just a touch more than usual.
Alejandro and Rudy see it first since they had all planned to meet up and do some training together. Rudy can do nothing more than blush and fluster, forgetting all concepts of English because now his head is running wild with the scenarios that collar and hand to hand training could bring them to.
Alejandro is similar but he manages to hold onto his English (barely), speaking broken sentences and flirting like a madman. Soap gets all embarrassed and both men can see the way the blush disappears under the collar and they so badly want to follow it.
Gaz flirts because, well, he’s a dick like that 😂 he’s milking this for all he can and if that means he has to flirt a bit just so he can watch Soap get flustered and all these men simp over him, well he’ll damn well do it.
Nobody knows if König is into it or not. The man’s harder to read than Ghost most days so who tf knows what’s going on behind that hood. But in the privacy of his room he is definitely losing his mind and trying to figure out ways he could hopefully ask Soap to join him or something.
Ghost seems stoic and disapproving at first. He sees the collar and the shit eating grin on Gaz and simply tells them to stop playing games. But as he walks away he has to very quickly and very discreetly adjust his pants because he was not expecting that.
The man is fucking everywhere for the duration of the bet because he absolutely loves the sight of a collar on Soap and can’t help but imagine what the man would look like with something that was distinctly Ghost’s on him.
He’s also making sure that nobody actually acts on the ideas they’re all so obviously thinking. Because no fraternisation in the military and totally not cause he’s jealous and is silently bidding everyone to know Johnny is his.
And Price, poor old Price, cannot wait for this bet to be over cause he doesn’t know how many more times he can walk in on the sight of half of his men drooling over an oblivious, collared Soap.
Much to his horror though, the collar ends up becoming a regular part of Soap’s wardrobe. Most times by mistake other times because he likes the feel of it and lord have mercy when the rest of the 141 heard that.

WOW! THAT WAS SOME LORE, HUH? :D
Tumblr media
reposting this meme bc it's true and bc I really like it, lol
I have quite literally been scribbling notes on a scrap of paper like a madman while rewatching TGOA part 3 as many times as possible, just jotting down all the mindboggling information we've been given, and some less direct stuff that I could be reading too much into but is fun and neat even if it doesn't amount to anything crazy and galaxy-brained, lol.
So click/tap below the cut for rambles about the final part of Pulp Musicals episode 3
The Ghosts of Antikythera ⚓️
Names, Names, Names!!!
Hey, might as well start with all the new names we've gotten!
The captain of the Antikythera — the ghost ship from 'someplace else' — is Addison Arvad.
Kal (my beloved/beloathed ❤ ) is Kalfu
The Traveler we met in TBS is Sia 💖💖
Ahlaam is another Traveler. I adore her already, and not just because she saved Rose.
Dakkar is... somebody. As expected, I've been going crazy in my dms with @man-down-in-hatchet-town, and she believes Dakkar is probably inspired by/based on Captain Nemo? 👀
King(?!) Itzal is... probably bad news! Kal's the one who calls him a King and he is obviously pretty loyal and devoted to him, and wants to impress him (aww), so methinks Itzal is maybe not so good???? (I am also a proud supporter of Brooke's Dylan Saunders as Itzal campaign, lol)
The Blazing World is home. It's where the Travelers and the Antikythera's Searchers (rip) are from, it was destroyed once—but is being rebuilt?—and Kalfu and Itzal seem to want it gone for good.
Lincoln Island is the mysterious island our heroes on the Ellen Austin are approaching at the end of the episode, the place Ahlaam sent Rose and the Antikythera to via orrery.
Quick *Approximate* Timeline
Eh, what can I say? We got numbers and I decided to do a tiny bit of math about it.
1874 — the Antikythera & the Ellen Austin
🔴 YOU ARE HERE
🎶 When are we? 🎶 Well, Morgan Reese informs our time-traveling heroes that, uh yeah lol, last he checked the year was 1874. What a funny question from a bunch of rapscallions!
Captain Arvad's logs from the Antikythera start in January 1874, so we know the Searchers were out and about in this same year. Their disappearances were recent and the ship hasn't been empty for all that long, I don't think.
1865 — may this monument stand forever
On this site in 1835, Sir John Herschel and Anna Hanover launched the first brick satellite, the Sagitta, in what was known as Township Number Nine. Erected to commemorate their bravery, to thank them for their gift to all mankind, may this monument stand forever.
Dedicated August, 1865.
1864 — the dark angel appears
A desperate AJ makes his ill-fated deal with Kal in exchange for his crew's safety during the Battle of Mobile Bay.
Damn the torpedoes.
1835 — the beginning of our adventure
🎶 IT IS EIGHTEEN THIRTY-FIVE 🎶 and the Great Moon Hoax and The Brick Satellite both happen in this year. Things were so simple back then!
1829 — the Blazing World is destroyed
In 1874, we are told (first by Arvad's journal, and then by Sia) that their home, that the Blazing World was destroyed 45 years ago. If my math is right and they're not hippity-hopping too much in time (they have time travel capabilities so idk for sure) that would put the destruction of the Blazing World in 1829.
If the world being destroyed is also the Event that Kal alludes to in Gunpowder and Rum, pt. 3 ("Your powers are returning and you still don't remember what happened? 😒") AND it's the one that left Margaret without her memories and powers, then... could Margaret have been feeling lost, alone, and disconnected with her phantom pain in New York for 6 whole years before the Stratfords wrote the hoax that would bring the quartet together??? 🥺
And while we're on the subject of time passing!
If Sia and Kalfu and everyone besides the quartet has gotten to 1874 the long way 'round... (which I think is the case if Kal snarked at Sia for hiding Margaret in the future—if he has a sense of the future in relation to the world and time, I'd say this also implies he & the others have a pretty consistent present?) ...have they aged? Or does their magic also lengthen their lives? I imagine it would be mentioned if Sia was visibly older, and since Samuel described Kal as looking ~40 years old, then how could he be younger than the war he's been in? lol. But idk, this is just food for thought!
Kal Loves His Lore Dumps, Doesn't he? This one's mostly about Margaret <3
"You've proven quite elusive over the years... We've searched across the seven seas... I suppose it's only fitting that I find you here by chance, looking for an orrery! I'd have settled for the ship, what's its name? An-ti-ky-ther-a. But you will be quite the prize. It's you that will seal our victory! A ship from the Blazing World would have been quite the quarry. But you? That could end things once and for all!"
"The ship, the orrery, they don't matter now. Not when I can dispatch the two biggest traitors in history with just one blow!"
Seems like our girl is pretty special~ 🥰
I mean, of course she is, she's our Margaret, but if Kal is willing to let the Antikythera go to get her instead, and he's so convinced that taking her out will win the war... our girl is Pretty Special™ right? Maybe she's a princess or something, or maybe her Radiance is just that heckin' strong. idk, but I'm excited to find out either way.
I'm also wondering if there's a connection between Margaret and the orrery/orreries... If Kal thought it was fitting to find her when he was after the orrery, does that mean something more? Could Margaret have created the orreries and/or the magic behind them? 👀
...actually maybe this isn't such a good and fun thing. 😅😟 Things don't usually go very well for special and important characters—what is the saying, tragedies love heroes? I mean, Margaret has lost her powers and memories once already, as well as her home and whatever family she may have had before. I know all our pulp blorbos have been in dire straights a few times now, but I don't want them to get MORE DIRE than this!
Kalfu, Sia, & Margaret's history
Kal: High marks for cloaking the fleet, but seriously—
...
Kal: Come on, it's a Traveler reunion.
...
Kal: Just a drink between three friends.
...
Sia: Oh, you were once a man that I trusted. Tell me, where has he been?
...
Sia: Itzal poisoned your mind!
Kal: Itzal opened my mind!
...
Sia and Margaret: *powering up*
Sia: Hey, Kalfu!
Kal: Huh? Ugh, not again.
Kal: *team rocket fog's blasting off again*
I think it's pretty safe to say that, once upon a time, these three were once close. Maybe they were friends and peers, or maybe Kalfu was once Sia and/or Margaret's mentor with that "high marks" comment. Whatever the case, they used to be allies who trusted each other.
I think it's also safe to say all three of them are/were Travelers. Obviously Sia is, and Margaret probably is/was one as well, since she and Sia have a badass combined attack (that I'm betting they used against Kalfu ~45 years prior). As for Kal... I don't know how the radiance and the fog fit together exactly, whether they've always been separate or the fog is a dark bastardization of the radiance, but it seems like he is on equal footing with Sia as far as magic powers go, and he can teleport like they do—AJ witnessed this at the Battle of Mobile Bay, and Samuel did (kinda) on the deck of the Ellen Austin. I don't know if that's the only qualification for being a Traveler, but it's worth mentioning.
It seems like Itzal was a pretty big factor in this trio splitting up—for whatever reason, Kal turned his back on Sia and Margaret to follow him, or perhaps Sia and Margaret left Kal behind when he wouldn't leave with them. I don't know, but I want to—I have questions!!!
Sia and Itzal — Future sight?
Kal (to Sia): You know, for someone with precognitive abilities, you sure like to cut things close. 😒
...
Kal: How I wish King Itzal was here to witness this. Or did he already know? Eh.
There's not much to say about this, really, I just think it's interesting.
But it does make me wonder if Sia *knew* that sending Margaret and the others to Hanover in 1874 would lead Margaret to the Antikythera and help her regain her memories, even if Sia couldn't see much more than that. Like, if she knew that Kal would be there, I don't think she would have put Margaret at risk like that when she was still vulnerable. Unless she was betting on Margaret figuring things out before Kal could make his move... gah, who knows! (Matt. Matt knows.) We do know that Sia can't see everything, though—she knows that the crew of the Antikythera are gone but has to ask Kal what he did with them.
Also, obligatory "yikes 😬" at the idea of having an enemy (King Itzal) who could possibly see your attacks/plans before you make them. That can't make this war any easier!
Fogging the vortices, you say?
Kal: We've been fogging the vortices for decades. There was bound to be an Antikythera sooner or later.
Vortices.... plural for vortex, yeah?
"A mass of whirling fluid or air, especially a whirlpool or whirlwind."
Is one of these vortices located here in the Sargasso Sea? Is that why Rose already knows plenty of ghost stories about these waters, why this is a strange place that'll one day be dubbed the Bermuda Triangle? Where are the other vortices??? How many are there??? What are they, exactly???
Okay, but what about the gates?
Kal: A war for a world of power and might
Sia: A war for a world of courage and light
Kal: Fought over decades
Sia: Over ascension
Kal/Sia: No chance of surrender, no chance of redemption
I'm just throwing darts here, but I feel like 'ascension' has to do with the gates that have been alluded to a few times now?
First, in TBS, Sia told Margaret that she couldn't take her to the gate until her memories were back. Then in part 2 of TGOA, Kal said something about the Antikythera's orrery leading him to the first gate.
I don't think these gates are the same thing as the vortices—if the bad guys have already been 'fogging' them, then Kal wouldn't need an orrery to find them.
The gates probably lead to the Blazing World, right? Kal and Itzal want to destroy the Blazing World for good, which is why Kal was trying to get the orrery, to get to the gate, to ascend to the Blazing World and turn it to dust once and for all.
Travelers and Symbols/Elements/Associations
To finish up, here's one of the things I've noticed more recently. We have four magical characters now who seem to be at similar levels of power and might all be/have been Travelers, and maybe it's just a fun bit of flavor rather than anything Extremely Vital to the plot, but they each seem to have their own kind of... niche?
Lemme run through 'em real quick.
Kalfu—
● Want a drink?
● Gunpowder and rum, too strong for some! 🎶
● And poison... is kinda my thing.
● Non-lethal fog, my latest brew
Kal's easy to figure out—he's been pretty clear with his gunpowder and rum (delicious!) and once he revealed it he's been very cheeky and upfront about his use of/preference for poison too. He also stands out as the only person wielding fog, but I'm sure that'll change as we delve further into the dark and into this war we're learning about.
Sia—
● "Was that sunlight shining in the sphere?"
● We're here to light the fuse
● Lay another hand on her and you'll go down in flames
● I will always be that feeling burning under your skin
hehe okay, Sia is the reason this whole section of my post exists lol. I noticed the references to fire in enough of her lines/lyrics in part 3 that I thought it couldn't be a coincidence, and then I looked at the others. I just think it's neat!
Maybe these lines are just nods to the fact that light can burn as well as illuminate—Kalfu would probably know, hah—but it is fun to think that maybe we could see our first and dearest Traveler friend whip out some cool fire magic later on—when she's not duking it out with somebody on a wooden boat, lol.
I'd love that for her, tbh.
...especially because alcohol is flammable. :)
Ahlaam—
Narrator: In a blinding flash, a woman materialized, and with a single motion, she pushed the water of the room with her mind
Okay, I fully admit this is mostly just a reason for me to make another waterbending joke. Ahlaam's appearance in this episode wasn't really long enough to give us much information about her, but I mean we also haven't seen anyone else do anything with water until she came along, so... if we see her do more stuff like this and she has more associations with water in episode 4 onwards, I will feel pretty smart. 😌
Margaret—
● the moon
● the sea
● astronomy
we might not know much about Margaret's magic beyond how brightly it glows—which isn't unique to her—and what she's been able to do with it, be we do know that she has a connection with the moon, of course.
I think we could also argue that she has a pull to the sea—mostly because of the view from her window and the rooftop, overlooking the water. Learning about the Searchers and the fact that Kal was looking for Margaret on the sea supports this connection, but again, that doesn't really single her out from the others.
Margaret does have an appreciation for astronomy, but even that might not be super unique, if her people have orreries on every ship and they all look up to the sky. However... my brain is still chewing on a possible connection between Margaret and the orrery, because of what Kal said. It would be pretty rad if she was the one who designed and crafted them, figured out that magic. So idk, that could be something.
If her memories are returning, maybe we'll see her really start to shine amongst her fellow Travelers as she recalls more about herself and brings together the person that resides in her memories and the person that losing her memories made her into.
phew, okay! this is a long post and I am now very sleepy, lol. I'm sure I missed a few things—I didn't take any *literal* notes during parts 1 & 2 and it'll be a few days before I get the album and lose my mind again—but maybe there's a few things I managed to catch that y'all will enjoy.
As always, feel free to reply/reblog with your own thoughts!!!

Hello everyone I need to be insane Abt Asuka NOW!!!! Warning for anyone who cares Abt it I guess this post is gonna have guilty Gear spoilers? I doubt people who see this are gonna care but better to be safe than sorry.
But also hey what if I overanalyzed the lyrics of the Guilty Gear theme for Asuka, The Gravity? Haha, just kidding.......
........Unless?
Read more just in case it becomes long lol
Anyways I've been listening to the Circle on loop and there's obviously a LOT of symbolism, it's guilty gear, but there's a very specific set of lyrics that's making me feel like an insane madman (or thatman.)
Tumblr media
So I wanna go over each lyric MOSTLY one by one kind of. And now I will immediately be inconsistent.
Find it, find it
Something unseen
Play back the history, answers within
I think this part is so so important bc I think it shows how Asuka doesn't only choose to never leave the past, but ACTIVELY chooses to stay in the past. It's only MAYBE at the end of strive where he thinks somewhat about the future of himself and the people around him. And even then, he continues to run from his consequences, and the truth of how everything is now. And so, he looks into the past, to find the answers he needs for the present. He thinks about Fredrick, he thinks about Aria- but in the end he doesn't think about Sol Badguy, or Jack-O Valentine. He looks into the past and can only think about his sins, and how he needs to persecute himself to "repent"- when it never was the answer. This isn't to deny he's changing- he absolutely is. But timeline wise? It's only recent. While Sol and Aria's soul (and the fragments we see chars become from her soul) have been changing CONSTANTLY. They've never stopped changing.
And I think it makes something very, very interesting. Where somewhat recent, Sol decided to not look too far into the past, while also being blinded by it. He didn't think of the future, because he- at least in my opinion which is a whole other post- didn't plan to be in a future after his original goal of destroying all gears. Asuka wants the past to be the past again, and Sol wants the past to be destroyed in something similar to a blazing glory.
And Aria? She's like a god damn anchor. She doesn't want to look at the past. She doesn't want it, knowing what has happened. She looks toward the future, and she stands in the present, and she decides she refuses to let the cycle continue. She knows this present and this future isn't her own- she was never supposed to be this far. And so, as she refuses to overwrite Jack-O, she decides one thing, her own choice for herself- this isn't her world. It's Jack-O's. She already had her own time, and she's not going to rip it away like it was ripped away from her.
Does existence have a meaning?
This one is extra interesting to me, as it's eventually followed up by "Does meaning have (a) meaning?" And I think it kind of shows the way Asuka thinks. He over thinks everything, but not the things in the now. He thinks until the definition of things are ripped apart- and on the way he questions his own existence. He questions if all of this was meant to happen. If what he did to Fredrick, to Aria, was truly an act of himself or an act of fate.
And maybe this is me overanalyzing in the "analyze everything" game series, but I think it's in a way shown that Asuka in this song and some parts in general finds fate to be something horrifying. One of the hardest things he has trouble understanding is something out of his control, something that doesn't fit his visual, even if the visual is caring. He couldn't understand why Aria would choose to eventually die than be cryo frozen into a cure, after all. He just... Can't understand it, when isn't the essence of humanity to survive? To live? When he wants to help the people he cares about most? When he loves them, god he loves them, so why would they choose to the "obvious answer" to continue being alive? To continue existence and love and care?
And so he rips down meaning after meaning to do what he can to understand definition and not person, because he doesn't know how.
The reality of truth, the reality of truth
what should we accept?
Reality of truth, reality
This. Makes me fucking insane.
Because it's a part of Asuka, understanding he needs to accept the present. The reality of truth- that Sol isn't Fredrick, and Jack-O isn't Aria. The reality that Sol isn't just gonna be buddy buddy with him again like old times, nor is Aria coming back. That everything has changed, and he barely has. And he can't help but wonder, if he should accept it. If he should accept the now instead of his original goal of making the past real again. He isn't sure, and after the events of Strive ESPECIALLY not sure at all. And it kind of scares him, I think. He fears change so badly, after all.
As the Universe turned black
Okay here's the part that led to me making this post at like seven am. I think the "Universe" turning black is a part of the next lyric, but also its own type of thing. He almost ended humanity. Even if for the people he loves and cares about, even if outside forces were involved- He still almost ended humanity.
And I think this shows how hopeless he felt, witnessing the Crusades. Watching as he knew that was Aria, that was fucking Aria, in Justice. Even if it was a mixture of things, it was still her! It was still her!!!!! And he fucked everything up. And he knows this so god damn well, especially as he witnesses Sol bring her down.
Did the Sun ever defy fate?
This one is connected to the above part, yes. It shows Asuka's fear of fate, shows how he believes it to be inescapable and world ending. After all, when the Sun goes out, so does the world. And when the sun is gone, only black will fill the stars, without the light of the Sun.
But not only that: It's also about Sol.
It's about how Sol, with the Flame of Corruption within, who tries to burn the past and present- and with every attempt, everything traces back to Sol as well, and he's the one to stop it because it's in his way. How Asuka sees what Sol does now as an inescapable path of horrifying, world ending fate. And how Asuka has felt for so long it was his own fate to be killed by Sol.
Beyond it all, do you recognize me?
THE BIG INSANITY INDUCER EVERYONE. MY GOD. I THINK ABOUT THIS ALL THE TIME.
It's so. Clear as day. It's how Asuka hadn't confronted Sol because he was scared of losing his friends. How Asuka runs away and away and away. How Asuka wonders, I must be so different now. He must not recognize me anymore. How in one of the dialogue things as vs Sol, he says Sol is the one who hasn't changed. And when Sol replies that he's one to talk? It just makes me crazy. Because Asuka sees himself as someone who has changed so god damn much, when he hasn't. He simply hasn't. And he continues the cycle, to fulfill his want for knowledge and understanding of this world and universe. He continues, over and over, and admits it to himself: he's not different. He's so recognizable to the point it's horrifying. He has the hair from the past. He has the demeanor, everything. Meanwhile, Sol has changed so much he could be considered near unrecognizable.
And, in the end, even if he's starting to finally face the present? He wants everything back. He wants Fredrick back. He wants Aria back. He wants it to be the same again, and he wants Sol to recognize him as his friend, not the person who caused him so much despair and pain. He doesn't want Sol. He wants Fredrick. He wants Fredrick.
And, with the backing vocals? The "the wings, the wings, Gravity"? The sun burns Asuka's wings every time, and makes him fall. And he continues to fly again and again, to continue the cycle he made for himself.
So in conclusion. This guy is so fucked up and I think about him a lot.

Even with just two episodes Fionna and Cake managed to destroy me, and I’m definitely going to be heavily posting because I love this show so much already. Spoilers and rambling under the cut!! If you want to watch it but don’t have access to HBO, dm me~
They really hammered in the depressing urban theme in episode one, and of course Fionna is incredibly relatable to the struggle of the average person. Hearing swearing in Adventure Time without their usual goofy filler-words like ‘dillweed’ or something feels SO weird, my brain could barely wrap around it.
An implication is that the world Fionna and Cake exist in is literally just a construct of Simon’s mind, which is retroactively kind of predictable, but at the same time slightly insane. This is shown pretty early in episode one, when I saw that fountain, my immediate thought was ‘Betty?!?’, and yeah, those sorts of things kept happening, until the moment Cake literally comes out of Simon’s head.
Speaking of Simon
Jesus Christ man.. he’s depressed as hell. (In my opinion, Finn is too, but they’re handling it in different ways). I was not expecting the content of the show to be much darker, considering ‘Distant Lands’ was about the same rating as regular Adventure time but damn.. seeing Simon hyperventilating hit me a little too hard, especially when he started pulling at his hair.
Be prepared for me to talk about Simon nonstop from here on out, he’s been a blorbo of mine for a long time now and this just relit that flame. Seeing him lying in mud with actually-rendered-red-blood felt so weird and harrowing. I was so happy when he decided to call Marcy and Peebs, and sad when they didn’t pick up on his obviously not too great mental state, but if they had there wouldn’t really be much of a show premise, so I’m fine with that (although sad on his behalf. Mans is suffering)
Anyway. I am a sucker for domestic Bubbline, and their silly antics at the tattoo shop did make me happy even if Simon was getting ignored. I am preparing for some heavy angst when Marcy inevitably realises what’s happening.
One theme that I felt heavily is that the show has sort of ‘grown up’. Even with Obsidian and Together again being set in the close and far off future, they didn’t feel like this. At the end of stakes, Marceline tells Peebs that she finally felt she had ‘grown up’- and that Bubblegum grew up with her (ironically they were both children at the same time, with the mothergum formed in the apocalypse).
This time period is Bubbline in their reckless young adulthood (as much as immortals can be), when the two were coded as older teenagers in the main show. They’re having fun, and trying new things. The other end of the young adult scale is Marshal Lee, Gumball (I didn’t catch his name) and Fionna of course, who are living in a bit of a grittier reality. Being surrounded by these characters who the show expects you to have grown up with is a really weird experience, but I kind of love it.
I really love the ‘modern au’ (I couldn’t think of a better phrasing, sorry) trio, Gumball (I know that’s not his name, my apd couldn’t catch it and there wasn’t subtitles) is so sweet (no pun intended) and a faithful genderbend to Bubblegum while having distinct differences.
Marshall Lee, that madman that he is, is still breaking hearts years later. I tell you, hearing his voice again made me swoon a little. I love the choice they made to make him visually black and it makes so much sense considering Marcy’s mother and also being voice acted by Donald Glover. I wonder what Hunson Abadeer is like in the Fionaverse (a better name although a bit confusing), being mentioned directly by both Lee and Fionna as his mother.
Anyway these are my primary thoughts splattered on a page, I’ll be rebloging like crazy from now on

SECRET TUNNEL! SECRET TUNNEL! THROUGH THE MOUNTAINS! SECRET SECRET SECRET SECRET TUNNEL!
I’m really liking Iroh and Aang’s conversations, I feel like it’s building a groundwork for Aang to trust Iroh, and eventually Zuko in the future.
Bumi is exactly how I pictured him, big hat, crazy dude. I love that he recognizes Aang right away and doesn’t make him do those weird tests. He’s asking the real questions “how are you still alive? And more importantly why are you still a child?” He’s nutty but he loves his friend and you see that.
But then he acts like he starts to doubt Aang, fair enough given it’s been 100 years. When Aang accuses him of not caring he gets mad and starts tricking him, playing “games.” He’s bitter and feels betrayed but Aang is still his friend, he didn’t mean to abandon the world and Bumi knows that, he just needs to be mad about it too.
My problem is that Bumi is almost painted as a villain, he’s trying to show Aang just how horrible and difficult the war has been but he almost kills them both and his innocent people in the attempt. Bumi has lived through the war in a way Aang can’t understand, he probably lost countless loved ones and has been sitting with that pain and grief for a century. Aang’s return brings it all back, but Aang also helps him start to heal from it.
I’ve always had mixed feelings about Jet, in the original too. He’s extreme, trying to take out a whole town to kill a couple soldiers, attempting regicide so he can stop a few spies. He’s traumatized obviously, angry and scared. He’s still just a kid.
Zuko having to chose between capturing the avatar and rescuing his Uncle is a beautiful moment, you see him struggle to choose between what he thinks is his destiny and the last member of his family who showed him any kindness. Him picking Iroh and finding the lotus tile as a clue, really a callback to how much of a madman Zuko is when it comes to finding people/things. Man found the avatar, his uncle, Appa, his honor, his mom, etc.
Iroh having to face his past being confronted by an earth kingdom soldier who accuses him of having no humanity, knowing nothing of loss, when we know his backstory. In the flashback, I can’t tell if Ozai is genuinely trying to comfort his brother over the loss of his only son but doesn’t really know how. Versus Zuko who is clearly still an awkward turtle duck and grieving his cousin, but still comforting his Uncle.
LEAVES FROM THE VINE, FALLING SO SLOW I’m sobbing my eyes out. All the musical callbacks to the original show are making me so happy.
Oma and Shu being lesbians???? YES I LOVE IT!!! GIVE ME MORE!!!
I always thought the tunnels could be about more than just romantic love. I’m glad they didn’t have Aang in them with Sokka and Katara because it means they can showcase familial love and its value rather than romantic. They haven’t really been showing much of Aang’s crush on Katara so it doesn’t make sense in the story for him to be with her in the tunnels anyway. Instead we can see Katara call Sokka out on some of his worse tendencies like his overprotectiveness and watch their sibling relationship grow.
The badger moles are the sweetest giant angry earthbending babies ever and no one can change my mind.

Hii can you do rigr stafford head canons? It can be just general hcs and sfw hcs i really don’t mind anything lol, Thank you!!(He’s one of my fav ons characters <3)
Hello!
It is been a while and I am a little disappointed in myself for not responding to this request sooner. Considering the multitude of ideas I have for this character, it is a real shame. I must have been too busy with my languages classes and crying for Rígri's lonely and sad son, ah.
But I am here and thank you from the bottom of my heart for the request.
Seriously, send me requests, especially for vampires. Questions, ideas, curiosities, let's discuss the story, or something else. I love OnS and everything is welcome for this wonderful story.
I thought about what to write about Rígr here, considering that you were so kind and left me the freedom to choose.
So in this post, I will continue this series of hcs about our vampires in a normal universe.
I wrote something for Ferid and René and I think Rígr also deserves his dose of normality and happiness.
That being said, enjoy! Any kind feedback is welcome and I wish whoever finds this post a good day!
P.S.: Please feel free to ask any other hcs about Rígr, about him in OnS, or in any other setting. He is a fascinating character for me!
@black-sapphire57 , laugh with me when you come back 3>
I pencil Rígr in a normal world where he can be himself and a human.
With long blonde locks hanging past his shoulders and a much more relaxed style of clothing.
Do not misunderstand, please. He still has a refined elegance, like the days when he goes to medical school for his studies and wears that long black coat, black cloth pants and elegant leather shoes in the same non-color. His white shirt is immaculate, pulled tight with a tie. But the blond hair is the splash of color, flowing in light waves over his shoulders with every gentle step Rígr takes, swinging his black briefcase in his right hand.
The same blond hair flutters freely, morning after morning when he wakes up around 4-5 a.m., before sunrise. And in just a white t-shirt, simple fabric pants, this hard-working man wakes up to start his morning jogging program, with his beloved dog.
Yes, Rígr has a dog, a lively and 'talkative' one who runs with his master for hours.
The same dog is taught to accompany Rígr in his studies, or to leave his adorable saliva on the expensive clothes of his 'uncle', that being Urd, obviously!
At every look from his indignant brother, Rígr responds with a serene smile, stroking the animal on the head, "Oh, but he loves you, brother. That's an affectionate kiss, your nephew's kiss."
He is obviously supposed to pay for the clothes destroyed by his dog, but medical students never have money, and Urd knows it. That is precisely why he always offers his insufferable brother a 'little help', in the continuation of his studies.
Sometimes it is necessary.
Although Rígr is a businessman to the bone and outside of his countless projects in the university, his private study sessions where he works like a madman, he has at least 3-4 jobs, some of which are suspicious but profitable.
Someone trying to convince you to buy something completely useless and dubious on the street? You will recognize Rígr.
Anyone want to explain you online why bitcoins are a lasting investment?
You will recognize Rígr.
Is someone on a street corner with a little table that lures middle school kids to play shell games?
Shameful for brother Urd, but you will recognize Rígr.
Obviously, he also works honorably as a university assistant for a professor who particularly esteems this brilliant student, but the wages are low and a medical student is always poor.
However, at the end of the day, nothing can stand in the way of the passions of this idealistic soul with a great intellect.
Despite his diverse and busy life, Rígr always finds time to visit a church or look at the sky.
It is something that calms him deeply, where he can meditate on creation, on the world and on man himself. It is not for nothing that he is attracted to the field that can explain human as a biological entity. Beyond these tangible laws, there are some invisible but decisive for our entire life: the art of discerning the soul.
Maybe that is why his chosen profession is that of a psychiatrist, despite Urd's warnings. Perhaps from his need to penetrate deeper into the secrets of humanity.
This man is a deep one, who looks at the world in detail, and who, at the end of his busy days, just needs a cup of hot tea with his faithful dog by his side.
Only in his white shirt, black pants, barefoot and sitting in an armchair: Rígr Stafford looking at the ceiling and meditating on those deep ideals of his.
And the next day, again he wakes up before sunrise and begins his fascinating day as a hardworking and dedicated young man.
Oh, and every day is a blessing for him!
His dog, named Ferid, approves with a bark.

THE EXCITEMENT and joy even just in how Mina says the date...!
The way she says "has been ill, that is why" with such utter relief. And then "I am not afraid to think it or say it, now that I know." - the way she's been so diligently refusing to put words to her fears and how happy she is that she doesn't have to anymore.
The letter by her heart is SO GOOD. The fact that she cried all over it and then tucked it against her heart, god. Mina is so evocative about love.
"Lucy will bring my trunk to London and keep it till I send for it, for it may be that ..." - I guess this means that she won't need it if she is getting married and moving in with him right away? Not really sure.
God, I love how she calls him "my husband." He already is in her heart and mind, and as soon as is physically possible she wants to make sure he is legally too. She is so eager to be reunited with him, and in as permanent a way as possible.
...and then an abrupt tonal shift.
"He is usually respectful to the attendant and at times servile; but to-night, the man tells me, he was quite haughty." honestly, Renfield plays a role so knowingly all the time. I may have to write a separate post about this at some point, maybe later on for spoiler reasons, but. It's very deliberate use of resources/appeal to those with power over him.
by the way, I love every single time Renfield speaks. LOVE his voice.
The little laugh in Seward's voice when joking about religious mania, man he sounds super condescending today.
"His attitude was the same towards me" Seward is soooo offended, I think it's part of why he gets so abruptly dismissive and scornful, all 'he'll probably think he's God himself next!'. It's because Renfield, in acting dismissive to him, is placing him on equal level with the attendant. Renfield acting like he's more important than both of them is obviously madness, but acting like Seward himself isn't the most important one in the asylum staff especially is discrediting his status. It also is denying the bond they have. Not that I think Renfield ever considers his relationship with Seward as any kind of special bond, but the doctor sure does. He talks about his pet madman, his friend Renfield, etc.... And by being so dismissive and uninterested here, by treating him just like the attendants, Renfield is essentially denying that outright. He gets a bit upset and lashes out with dismissive talk about Renfield being mad.
I really like the little echo on the asylum voices. Also, once again, the sound quality of the phonograph recordings.
Classic Seward being a dork reciting chemical compositions to his audio diary. "I have thought of Lucy, and I shall not dishonour her by mixing the two" - I wonder if this line is more about him not wanting her linked with his abnormalities (needing to take a sleep aid), or maybe hints at him knowing he's likely to have dreams about her if he goes to sleep while thinking of her. If so, whatever dreams he may have, he seems to think they wouldn't be appropriate/fair to her.
The way he says "errant swarm of bees" is so funny
"He is a selfish old beggar anyhow." coming right after Renfield petitioning Dracula's door. Man, the contrast between Renfield's emotion and wavering voice - and Seward's casual mockery about it - is very striking. Once again I think part of this is Seward being angry about being shut out/embarrassed/having to hunt him down. But it's pretty upsetting how his reaction to Renfield behaving in uncontrollable ways is to dismiss (what he assumes are) his motives, to dehumanize him ("more like a wild beast than a man") and physically restrain him.
