Okay, @cyanidesouffle's post got me thinking.

Why would warner even want to get married?

He knew from a very young age that his dad was cheating on his mom and that anderson never loved her.

He himself almost got married to a girl he never loved.

He was surrounded by families where marriage was nothing more than suffering (fletcher, his wife and kids and god knows how many others).

And then all of a sudden he thinks that marriage is an indicator of loving relationships and wants to get married because???

Can someone name even one reason for this except fanservice???
