Andrew’s all about respecting someone’s no until it’s one of the foxes telling his nieces and nephews no. Then he could give less of a fuck. They own him. He’ll give them anything and everything. One of them asks for money, he sends double. Presents every time he visits. Parents say no? Uncle Drew says abso-fucking-lutely. As long as they aren’t hurting themselves (or others depending on the severity) he’ll do just about anything for them. He’s the worst about it with Aaron’s girls but it extends to the rest of the baby foxes as well. He is the favorite and he worked hard to get it. He is their confident, their safest space, their biggest advocate. He will drop anything and everything to be there for them. He’s walked off the court just to answer a phone call about homework problems. And higher power help them if someone makes his babies cry. Andrew Minyard is the best fucking Uncle to ever Uncle and you will not change my mind.
The fact that @ssavaart is on tumblr now makes me very happy. Fundamentally, it’s not wild to think that an amazing artist would join a social media, but also it’s kinda insane that The Scott Christian Sava would join tumblr dot com of all things.
All this to say, I love Mr. Scott Sava with my whole entire heart and if anyone says a bad word about him I will personally steal their kneecaps.
And if Scott actually sees this, I have so much to say to you. I hope you’re having a wonderful day. Your videos always make me smile even when I’m struggling. It means so much to me that you’re so inclusive and understanding and supportive of everyone. As a closeted trans masc artist living with unsupportive family, I want to say thank you for all the love and encouragement you put out into the world. I love making art and you are such a huge inspiration for me.
anakin being sarcastically defensive when ashoka mentions him becoming vader, like OH you mean, what the genocide? the younglings i demolished? the tyranny and suffering my actual self is literally still carrying out? you’re still on that? cringe.
such a legend, such an asshole. i missed him so very dearly.
the first episode of Lockwood and Co does such a good job showing how truly awkward it must be to immediately move in with 2 boys that you just met, one of whom owns the house and is your boss. Awkward Lucy and Lockwood my beloved you are you so funny to me.
I saw a tiktok about Ron yelling at Hermione and embarrassing her in public (he would never), and Draco punching him in the face and I am so. Tired.
Like. We’ve already established that once Ron is committed to his relationship with Hermione, he’s peak husband material. He’s lovely. Househusband extraordinaire. But the idea of Draco Malfoy beating him up???
I like Draco as much as the next person, but we need to acknowledge that he’s a lil bitch. Every time he pisses someone off, he eats shit. Ron beats that twink into the ground on the regular. Come on people, let’s be real.
I think what I like best about Éomer and why he’s my favorite LOTR character is that he’s so thoroughly relatable. He’s not an ennobled elf with thousands of years of wisdom. He doesn’t come from an exalted bloodline with the intellectual and cultural inheritance of Numenor behind him. He’s not a sweet, gold-hearted little naif with unlimited stores of optimism. (There’s nothing wrong with anyone who meets those definitions–I just don’t personally see myself in them!) He’s a real, living, breathing human who has limitations and makes mistakes and gets cranky but is always trying to do the right thing. And that really speaks to me.
Even better, he usually succeeds despite his limitations (he is never taken in by Grima or Saruman, he helps Aragorn, Legolas and Gimli even though doing so forces him to break Rohan law, etc.) because he’s an excellent judge of character, always has good intentions, and *most importantly to me* he learns and grows from his mistakes. Éomer has no problem taking in new info, admitting that he was wrong, and then course correcting as needed (he literally says the words “I would gladly learn better” at one point!). It happens over and over, after his prejudices against the elves are called out, during his interactions with Ghan Buri Ghan, once Gandalf wizard-splains the concept of patriarchy to him, etc. He doesn’t get defensive or try to justify bad beliefs and practices. He is open-minded and humble enough to update his understanding of the world and then try to do better. Why wouldn’t I love that?
