i'm going to make a different post about dorian because felis has literally consumed MONTHS of my time

alright, so felis (genderfluid, goes by he/she, amab) is a former child actor who grew up rather lonely, having only one real friend, rudy. because he grew up just acting and interacting with fans, he learned to just fake emotions and pretending to care about people because physically could not make those emotional connections to others since he was not raised to.

in school, people wanted to be close to him only because they were interested in the clout they could get, so he became reserved and avoided people, including his Actual friend, who still kept chasing after him because they were worried. one day, he was super frustrated and lashed out at them. someone was recording, and got a video of him slapping rudy and posted it on social media. felis blamed rudy for ruining his career and shut people out entirely.

(that was all. before the events of the actual story aksjdkdkdndnn ANYWAY) so the real story begins when rudy reaches out to felis when they're both meant to go to college, asking her to go meet them one last time in a forest where they used to play as kids as one final attempt to make amends. she begrudgingly agrees to go, and they wind up fighting again and falling into a "rabbit hole" (rift in space) and getting seperated in another dimension. (oh my god they divorced so hard they got isekai'd)

they end up split up in the new world, and felis winds up in a bake shop and meeting a pair of elven siblings named clementine and lemon, who take him into the city to ask around for ways to get back home. when he gets there, he is chased around by an eccentric poet, lillos, who recognized him from a dvd of a movie that he acted in as a child.

lillos reveals that he has a collection of oddities from the human realm and offers to take felis to the site where he found these things. together, they set out for the rift between realms, constantly getting detoured by royal guards protecting the rift, bounty hunters who had never seen a human before (and immediately decided that they must be worth a lot), seemingly-natural disasters, and more. they also have to find rudy (who is on a completely different set of adventures).

in the end, felis rekindles her relationship with rudy, figures out the meaning of love and friendship, and finds her way back home where she belongs. wahoo love wins!!

anyways um actual personality blurb now SORRY... so felis is sort of stand-offish and rude. she's quick to correct or reprimand anything she doesn't like. she doesn't really smile or laugh much outside of acting. she's usually proper and poised, but she's known to get violent or snap when she's stressed. she's very opinionated and critical of others. when she's losing an argument, she gets quiet and sulky. she's got very low empathy and is bored with conversation most of the time, so she is somewhat avoidant of talking to most people. SHE DOES GET BETTER ABOUT INTERACTING WITH PEOPLE... and she does learn to apolgize and take responsibility for her own actions and stuff. she can also be polite and knows when to be quiet.

So about dunumbrax, what do you have in mind to share?

Some stuff I can’t quite share yet but there are a few fun facts 👀

-He primarily goes around as his puppet, Dante. His real body is usually somewhere nearby though.

-As Dante, he was hired by Ivor, Dell’s grandfather, to track Dell down and bring him back to the Verleur’s manor.

-He got a bit sidetracked with his task, and he ended up forming an unhealthy obsession with Dell.

-Unfortunately, even this was foiled as he was then thrust into airing Ukorgana against his will. Though Dunumbrax went mysteriously missing after Ukorgana’s capture (leaving only Dante behind. The party is unaware that Dante and Dunumbrax are one in the same for quite a while)

-He’s ekorian! And his initial mercy mission job was an assassin

-His grandfather, Solunax, is also on earth. Ivor is Solunax’s tether. Solunax has been there for quite a while and usually uses a puppet named Shelby. Dunumbrax tries to avoid his grandfather, but surprisingly they don’t have a bad relationship. The two of them seemed to have gained some semblance of “humanity” with extended usage of their puppets.

-He absolutely despises Penelope simply because she got in the way of him being near Dell

-He !! Technically has a human uncle!!! Shelby had a wife and ended up having a son named Terry.

-His views on the mercy mission get skewed over time, with most of his focus being on Dell. Weirdly enough, his feelings come with moments of clarity as well, as he uncharacteristically gets feelings of immense dread towards liking Dell. He can’t tell why he feels that from time to time. It doesn’t feel like he’s thinking it, but it is his own thoughts. 🤔

-He also doesn’t like to do much combat, rather he waits for the right moment to strike.

-Dante does have a voice synth claim, with it being the SynthV vocal Mo Chen

OMG, WE GOT A BINGO WITH THIS ONE!! YES!!!! 👏👏👏 But Omg, anyone who knows me knows I love this little bastard? And he 100% belongs in the unhinged category, no doubt about it. XD I got absolute feral for the interpretation of him as desperate, deranged, clinging to the idea that he can still be the perfect android, that he’s not deviant despite the clear emotion he displays. Absolutely has some mommy issues regarding Amanda, holy shit. And he can 100% work as both a straight-up villain and also a sort of anti-hero in post game fics. He’s ruthless, doesn’t play well with others, goes to extremes to do what he thinks he need to, and is bitchy as the day is long. But also… all of that is covering for a deep-seated insecurity and fear of abandonment. He lashes out because he’s been betrayed and hurt before and he can’t let himself feel that again. But damn, eventually I think he could come around to trusting again… with a lot of patience and positive reinforcement, lol. But he’d still be an asshole even after, it is his way. XD So yes, feral and unhinged and a top tier antagonist! Love this little shit! 😍😍😍

Anyone who knows my taste in fictional characters will know that I love and adore just. Horrible bastard male characters. Grey to black morality characters, bonus points if they've got a flare for the dramatics. The kind you'd call poor little meow meows. It's a running joke with a close friend that if I see a terrible male character, he will be forcibly adopted into my squad of "horrible goblin sons"

Well, since I've got Code Geass on the mind again, and I watched that anime when I was 11 or 12 (definitely too young for it, but I enjoyed it immensely), I'm realising that horrible very-dark-grey-morality overly dramatic Lelouch is probably the blueprint for all my horrible goblin sons asdfghjklkjhgfdsa

im so worried about my grandad... hes always had problems with his heart and his blood pressure and reacted v strongly to weather fronts but lately hes been unwell almost constantly and keeps saying that hes never been so poorly before and this must be the beginning of the end and my chest hurts i love him so so so much

#our dnd group is going to leave the dnd for a brief hiatus and try out a short campaign of dune rpg #and oh boy the character creation in this game is Horrible #easily the most frustrating character creation experience in any of the games i've played so far #why would you tell me what my highest skill is without giving any sort number for it until several pages later!! #i feel like this is written with the expectation that the player will read AND LEARN the entire chapter about characters #before making their first one to play. this does not make it easy to Just Start Playing which i think most folks probably would prefer #anyway i'm making a fremen warrior on an off-planet body guard/suicide mission and i love him dearly. can't wait to see if he survives :3 #but yeah i'm not entirely sure if these char creation rules are exceptionally bad or if i've just played games that are very good at it #gameplay itself seemed fine when we tried out a one-shot with pre-made characters. we'll see how this goes #sussitalk
