Oh hmmm, you know maybe? There was one girl who transferred to my elementary school in fourth grade (so age like 8ish for non-Americans) and I really wanted her to like me. Except she initially got swept in with the popular girls which, I totally wasn’t part of (LOL what a surprise ive always been a loser ✌🏻) so then I went the whole “get out of my school route” (aka during recess I wrote a list of everything a friend is then at the end wrote “this is everything you are not”. I thought I was sneaky putting it into her backpack but the teacher knew my handwriting lmfao)

We became friends by the next year and then at one point she started affectionately calling me Dumbles (after Dumbledore...a..gay character.......I’m connecting the dots) and would say she loved me and I was always too scared to say it back (oh. Oh I’m really connecting the dots. Answering this ask made me self aware CNXNDNXNCB)
