I’m sorry, but I think that I will simply never be able to forget the way Charlie acted throughout the whole betrayal scene! I can’t get over just how fast the switch flipped when Percy mentioned meeting Hermes. The look of unbridled rage that suddenly filled his eyes! The way his whole entire demeanor changed! The look in his eyes when Percy accidentally cut him?

And then the look of utter heartbreak in his eyes when he saw that he was hurting Percy and especially so when Annabeth appeared??

10/10! A true Oscar winning performance! He ate every single crumb in sight and left absolutely zero!

This scene is something that I will be thinking about for weeks to come…

what is your favorite thing about Captain Marvel aka Billy batson? What is one thing you would change or add to his origin story or character if you were a writer for his comics?

Ooh this is a tough one.

I think my favorite thing about Billy is that he really embodies what I think superheroes should be. He embodies hope and courage and wanting to help others. I think a lot of other superheroes lost that somewhere along the line with multiple reboots and retellings.

And I know I've said this before but I also love the whimsy of the Captain Marvel lore, the wacky adventures that most other characters have "grown out of" as their writers moved towards more gritty realism. He's a kid with magical superpowers and hangs out with talking tigers and wizards! If you're not having fun with it, then what's the point?

If I got to add one thing to Billy’s character, it would be that he can do magic/spells in kid form. Which probably doesn't surprise too many people. I just think that with magic being so intregal to his character, he should have some connection to it even when he's not Cap. He doesn't even have to be good at magic, but having him realize that it's an option, a difficult option even because of the work that would come with learning magic, could be really cool.
