🚫 Joker Out Pokémon Types and Teams: A Very Important Thread 🚫
(A thread made by your resident OG Pokemon fan. I did my best to give each of the lads a Mega evolution, an Eeveelution as well as a plausible starter Pokemon.)
Bojan - Fairy type ✨
Mischievous, ethereal and charming
Starter Pokémon: Chimchar/Infernape
Actual first Pokémon: Growlithe/Arcanine
He definitely has a couple of fire-types that allude to his sexiness.
Tinkaton, Diancie and Sylveon are little but fierce, just like him. DO NOT mess with them.
Arcanine and Ninetales are puppies!
Diancie suits him. A tiny diamond princess who’s a sight to behold and screams “look at me”? Absolutely a Bojan-coded Pokémon.
Kris - Psychic Type ⚜️
Elegant, intelligent and such a slay
Starter Pokémon: Fennekin/Delphox
Actual First Pokémon: Ralts/Gallade
C'MON GUYS, Gallade has cake. A huge cake. Looks very princely too. He’s a much better fit for Kris than Gardevoir!
Hatterene is SUCH a Kris-coded Pokémon. Tall, beautiful and they even share a default expression!
Milotic is a fitting, beautiful tallmon. Naturally such a beauty would suit Kris!
Kris mentioned that he prefers light over darkness, hence Psychic types in general and Espeon in particular.
Jan - Dark Type 💀
Mysterious, sexy and edgy
Starter Pokémon: Sprigatito/Meowscarada
Actual First Pokémon: Deino/Hydreigon
Houndoom has sexy incubus vibes. One cannot have an appropriate Jan team without a Pokémon that gives off incubus vibes.
Weavile and Umbreon are appropriate black cat coded Pokémon.
He's the only one with the patience to slowly raises a Deino all the way to Hydreigon. Even if the little Deino is clumsy and blind, and evolves so late, he perseveres (and thus also shows his soft side). Also, imagine little Jan and Deino with their matching hairstyles!
Jan mentioned that he prefers darkness over light, hence the Dark type in general and Umbreon in particular.
Jure - Electric Type ⚡️
Energetic, chaotic and playful
Starter Pokémon: Pikachu/Raichu
Actual First Pokémon: Shinx/Luxray
Rotom is a chaotic gremlin, of course Jure would have one! And he does switch between all its forms from time to time.
Luxray and Zeraora are big cats!
Ampharos may be cute...but it's a dragon and is capable of VERY dangerous things, so please do not piss it off.
Jolteon is SUCH a Jure coded Eeveelution. Chaotic? Swift as lightning? Charming in its own way? Yup.
Nace - Ground Type 🍂
Strong, steady and reliable
Starter Pokémon: Turtwig/Torterra
Actual First Pokémon: Teddiursa/Ursaluna
Of course Gengar makes it on his team. A Nace coded team is not a proper Nace coded team without Gengar!
Ursaluna is 100% a Nace Pokemon...FIGHT ME. Just look at it! A fierce looking bear that also looks like it could give nice hugs to its owner? Sounds just like Nace in Pokémon form.
He absolutely has the temperament to deal with a powerhouse like Garchomp.
Leafeon is nurturing, but also has immense strength for a small Pokémon - it’s strong enough to split trees. 100% the Nace-coded Eeveelution.
Martin - Steel Type ⚙️
Logical, dignified and protective
Starter Pokémon: Piplup/Empoleon
Actual First Pokémon: Porygon/Porygon-Z
Metagross is just as intelligent as Martin is, and despite being hell to catch, Martin managed to work out a strategy and caught it in a Beast Ball, no less!
Martin has a very kind heart, and this kind heart means that he would never abandon his very first Pokémon that he programmed, a Porygon that evolved into Porygon-Z, even when it starts acting quirky!
He's such a king, of course Pokemon such as Kingdra and Aegislash would suit him.
He has some Water-types to reflect his caring, levelheaded side. Vaporeon is the Eeveelution that suits him most, due to its qualities.

Emotional support Pokémon
Piers
Would throw everyone off and have a Fairy type or something
Probably a Sylveon caught as an Eevee by Marnie
It evolved into Sylveon at night while he was trying to get an Umbreon to stick with his dark types
Marnie caught the Eevee and had it trained as a thanks for her Morpeko which he caught for her when she was younger
Rika
Let's be honest she has more Woopers
Not just Paldean but Johto as well
Grusha Probably got one of the Johto Woopers for Rika so she let's it sit by her desk when she is interviewing Elite 4 challengers
Grusha
Has a fire type which throws everyone off
It was caught by Rika as a thanks for the Johto Wooper
Rika caught him a Vulpix and he cuddles with it at night
He plays with it when he isn’t busy with any gym challengers during the day and his Ice types are sleeping

He's trained it to bite ankles of people who make him angry

He loved the Eevee and had such a good friendship it evolved in the daytime to an Espeon
He immediately showed Nessa and Sonia that it evolved
He cuddles with the Espeon at night when he had a rough day
Hop
Leon got him yet another Wooloo as a surprise
Did not expect it at all and started crying (of happiness)
He gave up his bed so the Wooloo would be comfortable at night
That Wooloo never leaves his side and has witnessed him lose so many battles at this point
Sonia
Both Nessa and Leon secretly got together and trained another Yamper for her
Walked into the lab and thought the other one was a wild one that wondered in
Nessa had to stop her and explain before she hurt it on accident
She was grateful and hugged both Leon and Nessa as tight as possible when she was done playing with both the Yampers
Both Yampers are spoiled as fuck
It was her idea for the Emotional Support pokemon and she brought it up to Leon who agreed on it
Atticus
He got a Piplup as gift from Penny
When he told people who got it for him they were shocked
His team was a bit skeptical of the penguin at first but they eventually warmed up to it
He designed a vest for it so people don’t tell him to send it out if they battle him
“This Piplup is a mere baby. I shall not let it get harmed in anyway”
He carries it around on his shoulder everywhere he goes
Pepper
He has a Fidough as an emotional support Pokemon
It sits in his dorm mostly
He cuddles up with it and his Mabosstiff at night
Mabosstiff was skeptical of the other dog Pokemon being brought around and still is
Pepper has to keep Mabosstiff from attacking the smaller dog Pokemon 90% of the time.

Game Changer
Chapter Two: A New Game, A New Discovery

The summer before the new semester was long, and I missed Leon a lot. Leon was busy in Galar, trying to figure out why I wasn't even able to come in the first place, as well as keeping himself in shape for the season. On the other hand, I spent the summer working my tail feathers off, and on the occasion spent some much needed time with friends.
My group of friends from high school had always stayed close, even though we went to different schools. We spent countless hours talking about new games and shows that were out, but also throwing in stories from the year: failed flirting attempts, horrible teachers, funny all-nighters, you name it. However, one of the hot topics we talked about, or at least three out of four talked about, were the new Pokemon games. Ginny, Aaron, and I had spent a majority of the summer speculating the new game and they attempted to fill me in on what I had missed from the past few games.
"Wait, how much have you actually missed," Aaron had asked as he steered the boat to head back to the house to pick up Max to continue our lazy wandering and conversing.
I stretch my arms over the back of my seat, Ginny giggling as I make a face in thought, "Uh, the last game I played I had Piplup as my starter-"
"So generation four." Ginny concludes, making Aaron laugh.
"I'm really behind." I giggle, leaning back against the seat, soaking in the sun.
"Oh yeah, definitely behind. I think a crash course is needed."
"I think you'll enjoy it more going in blind." Ginny giggles, moving to sit next to me. "Besides, it'll be fun either way to see what you think."
"The game cannot get here fast enough!" I cheer excitedly, ready to explore the newest region on my new console.

Leon sighs into the receiver. "Sorry it didn't work out for this summer, love."
I shift my phone between my ear and my shoulder as I gather my school supplies from the backseat, I had one more week before school started back up and I was already feeling restless. "Quit apologizing, Lee. It's not your fault there is some weird process for me to get approved to come to Galar. You wouldn't have known. Besides, they were happy I was able to come back and work for the summer." They being an old diner that can't seem to hold servers. I was used to the workload and the usual people that came in, which meant better tips. "How was your season?"
"Good as always, Raihan gave me a run for my money, but still ended up on top. Hop is just happy to have me home."
"Well they are probably even happier knowing you don't need to come back here." I walk over to the front door and shove my key in the lock and slip inside.
"Yeah, the Chairman has been having me running ragged; doing errands and practicing."
"Hopefully nothing too hard," I smile as I set my bag down on the floor.
"Nothing I can't handle." His voice is teasing, and it makes me miss him more. I don't say anything as I unpack my stuff, just hum into the phone. "Are you excited for school?"
I laugh, shaking my head, "More like already ready for break. You are coming for Thanksgiving, right?"
"Already have it on my calendar." He hums, making me smile. "You're going to do amazing this year, you know that? You always amaze me with how much you know."
A blush warms my cheeks, damn do I miss this boy. "And you are gonna do amazing things in Galar. Just remember to take some time for yourself too, okay?"
I hear his sigh as I sit on a kitchen chair. "I'll try my love. I will try." There is a long pause, and for a second I think he hung up until, "I really miss you."
"I miss you too, Lee. November, and then you will be here."
"Doesn't make the waiting any easier."
"I know, but keeping yourself busy will ease it a little." I turn toward my stuff before sighing. "As much as I want to stay on the phone with you, handsome, I really need to study for that test I have next week."
He chuckles, his voice soft. "I know, I'll call you tomorrow. That okay?"
"Sounds perfect." I smile, "I love you, Leon."
"I love you too, my love."

I practically throw my stuff onto the ground as I enter the house, new game already in hand. Aiden, my little brother, follows in behind me complaining about school and how some of his friends were being annoying. My mom lifts her head from what she is completing on her laptop, giving us a lopsided smile. "You look excited, and you look like you need to go take a nap."
Aiden groans again before placing his face into her shoulder to complain in muttered tones as I move about the room to get my things together.
"I am headed to Ginny's, I don't expect to be home until about nine or ten-"
"Don't forget you have a dog, (Y/N)-"
"I will be home by nine then, and no worries I know," I giggle, rubbing Buster's head, the little Australian Shepard pup is bouncing at my feet as I slip my shoes and coat back on. "Sorry, bud. Go ask Aid, he will probably love to take you outside to run."
Aiden happily agrees as I wave one last time to my mom before slipping back outside. The drive is quick thanks to Ginny only living outside the neighborhood. I pull into her driveway and park in my usual spot, practically running to the door.
I hear her dog bark as I make it onto the porch, "Are you excited?!" Ginny's voice calls from behind her front door. She opens it quickly, pushing her dog aside as I enter.
"You know it!" I call back, stepping inside, my hand falling onto her chocolate labs head to keep him from slipping out the door. "Afternoon, Theo." I coo as I scratch under his chin before turning toward my best friend and pulling her into a hug. "How far are you?"
"Not too far, I've just been exploring." Ginny smiles as she motions me to follow her. The two of us clamber down the stairs, talking quietly about school and her job. Once settled on the couch she grabs her switch from where it sits on the floor plugged in.
I finally get to take a break, no school, no classmates, no responsibilities besides playing the game.I pop out the game already inside the console and replace it with the new game. "Here we go, here we go, here we go!" I sing, making Ginny laugh.
I turned up the volume and let the game start. As it starts through the main intro I decided to read along aloud, simply to get a laugh out of my best friend, making comments all the way. Until I come across the name of the region,"Galar?"
"Yeah, that's the region this game." Ginny states nonchalantly, eyes never leaving her switch.
I nod, eyes reading along. I let out a squeal, "Look at the elephant!"
"I know! I don't know what it is, but I want it!" Ginny giggles back.
"My name is Rose, and it is a pleasure to be here."
"Rose?" I whisper, no it's just a coincidence on the name and place, it's not the place Leon had been describing the past four years
"Now turn your gaze to the Galar region's greatest Pokemon Trainer, your undefeated champion..."
"It's time for Champion Leon's exhibition match!"
My eyes watch as the screen lights up, as it brings the game's champion into view and my breath hitches, making Ginny look up at me.
"What's wrong?"
I shake my head and stare wordlessly as the battle begins, Charizard dynamaxes and the shield logo appears on the screen. It quickly switching over to the protagonist, showing off "Wooloo?"
"Isn't wooloo adorable?" Ginny smiles, but she can see the confusion on my face. "You good?"
"Yeah, yeah, I think." I mutter as I get into the game. As the game continues, my heart gets a little tighter. Hop arriving at the protagonist's house, telling her to meet him at his, taking the main character to meet his brother at the train station. "God, Hop is a little shit," I giggle, Ginny agreeing with me with a laugh. "Like how long have I been living next to him and I haven't met his brother once? Aren't we like the best of friends?" Finally I have to stop, saving after choosing Scorbunny and setting my switch down into my lap. "Ginny?"
"Yeah?" She doesn't even look up.
I go to the screen shots on my switch and pull up a picture of Lee, my Lee, on my phone. "Please tell me I'm imagining things."
Ginny sets down her switch before shifting closer to me. She takes the phone from my hand before looking back at my switch. I watch as her eyes widen before she shakes her head. "Okay, this just has to be a coincidence." She raises her head to look at me, "They just look really similar-"
"That's what I thought, except Lee's boss is Chairman Rose, he lives in Galar which is an island off of the United Kingdom, his little brother's name is Hop-"
"(Y/N)." Ginny lets out a nervous giggle, but I continue.
"Ginny, he has even described animals for me to draw and one of them I just saw on screen." I can feel a headache coming on, and my anxiety is starting to settle in. "He has described his whole home and hometown to me and my character just ran through it." I place my head in my hands, putting pressure on the places that are aching.
She looks between the photos, she knows exactly what I am talking about. She has heard all about what Lee has told me, and seen the pictures in my sketchbook. She takes a breath, "Look, you can't prove anything right now. If he knows that this is a huge coincidence, he would tell you."
"I don't know, Ginny..."
"You have to have faith in him, you know how he is. He will tell you-"
"If he even knows." I whisper, lifting my head.
She nods, "And if he doesn't, then you will just have to bring it up. Everything will work out." She nudges my side, "C'mon, let's turn on YouTube for a bit then we can try and get back to the game."

I sit in my room that evening, I didn't go much further in the game even though I wanted to. My eyes linger on my cell phone, text messages open to Leon's messages.

He could just be someone who works for the games and didn't tell me? But then why did he need a business degree, especially here? I rub my forehead as my dog crawls over to me and places his head on my lap, a sign that I should really be headed to bed. But my mind is reeling, and sleep probably wasn't going to happen for another few hours. Tonight would be a night I would lose sleep over.
I wake the next morning by Buster pressing his cold nose into my cheek. I sigh as I rub a hand through his fur before sitting up in bed and seeing Leon had texted me.

My fingers move across the screen in habit, telling him good morning as well, but adding that I had a lot of homework this weekend and would need to be working and that I'd call him later in the week. I slipped in to enjoy spending time with his family and to tell Hop that I was excited to meet him when I finally made it out there.
I rolled out of bed and followed the pup out into the kitchen before letting him out into the backyard to do his business. I sigh as I lean in the doorway, watching him prance about the backyard happily. I let out a low whistle, "Buster, c'mon baby it's cold."
Buster comes barreling over, happily bouncing about my feet as I walk back into the house. Time to get to studying.
After a few hours, my mom pops her head into the office to see me hard at work on a presentation that was due that Monday. "Hey, honey?"
I put up a hand to tell her one minute before I finish the sentence I was working on. I gently push away from the desk to look at her. "Sup?"
She shakes her head, laughing, "You good?"
"Yeah, why wouldn't I be?" I ask, standing to walk past her and get a drink from the fridge.
She's quiet as she follows me slightly. "You and Lee okay?" She sees me visibly stiffen, "Did you two have a fight?"
I sigh, setting the juice container on the counter, "No, we didn't have a fight; I think it's the long distance getting to me. I mean, he keeps in contact and we skype, but it's not the same as being in person you know?"
She nods, "I can understand that." She shifts to the side and watches me for a minute while I pour my juice. "Did he tell you when he was going to fly out?"
"No, he just said before Thanksgiving." I sigh, replacing the juice in the fridge and chugging down the amount in my glass. "I can text him and ask though."
My mom shakes her head, "No, it's okay. Ask him later, you don't have to do it now."
I look over at her, and a part of me tells me that she is hiding something, but I shake it off and rinse the glass out before returning to the office. Just have to finish this presentation.
Thanksgiving could not come any faster. Between practicals, exams, and paper presentations my classmates and I had finally hit our wall. My hands were basically hovering over the keyboard as I skimmed over the material. God, I needed a break.
The sound of the back door opening catches my attention, ears perking up over the music playing from my laptop. After a minute, I hear my mom talking to my dad making me nod as I go back to my typing. Buster barking excitedly doesn't fade as I make the last bullet point to my study guide before I jump back over what I needed to look at for the practical for Tuesday, and the chapters due for Monday.
The door opening causes me to pause my typing to rub my forehead. "What?" I ask, it comes out more harsh then I expect, but between school and Leon suddenly being MIA, my nerves are a little shot. Whomever walked in makes no sound, and before I can ask what they want again a pair of hands clasp around my shoulders and massage the muscles there. A soft groan of satisfaction leaves my lips as I tilt my head to the side, their hands moving with me to massage at the base of my neck.
"You know, if you laid on the bed I could reach a lot more." My head whips around to meet golden honey eyes. Leon laughs before cupping my cheek, "Don't turn too fast love, you'll get whiplash."
I manage to let out a soft "move" before I spin around and stand from the chair, throwing my arms around his neck just as he leans down to pull me in and lifting me so that I was just that much closer. Emotions erupt as a small sob leaves my lips, arms tightening around his neck as I bury my face into his neck.
"I got you, love, I got you." Leon coos, shushing me as he sits on the couch, his hand cupping the back of my head to keep me close.
The two of us sit silently, Lee rocking me softly until my sobs turn into sniffles. I eventually move so my face is away from his neck, forehead pressing against his while I catch my breath. "Sorry, the past two weeks have been shit."
"Should'a brought you a hot cocoa then huh?" He teases, making me laugh as I press a soft kiss to his lips, his curling into a smile as he attempts to hold me there, only to let out a small groan when I pull away.
"I don't think you want me kissing you until I have washed my face." I tease, motioning to my blotchy, snotty face as I untangle myself from him and stand. Lee doesn't let me get very far, following me into the bathroom so I can do just that. Once that is done, Lee doesn't waste time grabbing my face between his hands and kissing me deeply. I sigh against his mouth until someone clears their throat. We pull apart to see Aiden standing in the doorway.
"Can you not make out in the bathroom? Thanks." He groans before walking away.
Leon chuckles behind me, "You know, I think he and Hop would get along pretty well."
I nod before turning and kissing Leon's cheek again. He smiles at me, hand cupping my cheek again before he presses his forehead to mine, my body relaxing at the contact. But my mind goes back to that game, and Leon's face flickering and talking with the characters. "Hey, Lee?"
His eyes flicker up to mine, "Yes, baby?"
My mouth opens and closes again, words not wanting to come out. I have to talk to him about it.
"(Y/N), what's wrong?" He whispers bringing his other hand to my other cheek.
Later, we'll talk later. I shake my head, "Lost it, sorry. Brain's kinda fried." I force out a giggle.
I can tell he sees right through the excuse, but he nods anyways. "Okay," he whispers before kissing the tip of my nose making me laugh. "C'mon, let's not stand in the bathroom. I'll help you finish studying then we can relax, that work?"
I nod, "Sounds perfect." Lee pulls away and grabs my hand before walking out of the bathroom with me in tow. Just enjoy the quiet before the storm hits.

Summery: 'MJ scratched Isaac's head, the Piplup giving a happy chirp in reply. Something felt right about the little guy, a strong connection. Truly he wish the connection was unbreakable, but the partners had just met. They needed time to grow together, learn each other's strengths and weaknesses.
Anyways, someone else already held that string to MJ's heart.'
Just leaving Professor Oak's lab meant adventure for these young trainers, but one couldn't leave a piece of his past behind
The two walked down the path, MJ saying his last goodbyes to Thomas and Roman before heading off the path into the forest as Thomas headed home, something about forgetting to grab tennis shoes.
MJ scratched Isaac's head, the Piplup giving a happy chirp in reply. Something felt right about the little guy, a strong connection. Truly he wish the connection was unbreakable, but the partners had just met. They needed time to grow together, learn each other's strengths and weaknesses.
Anyways, someone else already held that string to MJ's heart.
Grass rippled across his shoes as he remembered his friend, his best friend.
His partner.
MJ sighed, turning one last time to catch a slim glimpse of Pallet Town before the rolling hills stoll his gaze, smiling as he distantly saw Thomas being ushered inside with a hug from his father. Looked like MJ would have a further head start than he thought.
There went his home, his family, his past. Memories swarmed his subconscious thoughts as he glanced into the distance one last time, before turning, heading to the woods. There was one memory though, he wished he could bring.
She was so important to him, how could he leave her-
" Vul!"
MJ stopped right in his tracks in shock, before a giant smile plastered onto his face. Of course, if he couldn't leave her, she couldn't leave him.
Isaac 'piplup'ed in shock as MJ turned a full 180' and crouched, a burning red fox leaping into his arms. He giggled, pulling his Iris close.
"Guess I'm not allowed to leave without you, huh?" He joked, staring the Vulpix eye to eye. Iris just chirped in agreement, sending the boy into giggles.
"Well you never let anyone catch you, I just.. I thought you didn't want anyone to-" Iris chirped again, placing a paw on his cheek, Isaac patting his head.
MJ blinked " you didn't let anyone catch you.." his eyes widened "..because you wanted me to catch you" MJ smiled and set the Vulpix down, backing up only a couple of paces.
"Well Iris, you really want join?" She bounce in joy, waving her fiery red tail as a response. MJ laugh, tossing the pokeball, watching it bounce off her head and shake once, twice, three times before binging. He picked it up and flicked it to the sky, feeling more than watching the Vulpix lay across the shoulder the Piplup was not on.
"Really Iris" he smiled, putting the pokeball away and turning back, truly starting his journey "did you think I could leave my best friend?"
She just chirped, nuzzling his face. MJ pet her soft fur "really Iris?" He questioned "don't you know?
You're the one I'll never forget"

Is it just me or am I seeing references to past events in the next Pokeani series poster?
Galar bit is obviously new but like... each region has something that makes me think of the region from pokeani’s perspective in the past and I’m like.... wow.
I’m gonna break down my thoughts under the cut:
First of, my fav region Alola! There’s couple interesting details there that has me feel nostalgic:
Sorry for tiny pic, but I think you can guess what I mean here? We can see Satoshi riding an Alolan Nassy, and we all know how he made friends with a herd of them in Sun & Moon’s episode SM020 (who then returned in SM102). This gives me big vibes of referencing Sun & Moon due to this, and I so freaking love it.
Another one is how Kapu-Kokeko is shown in Alola region as well, and I’m sure we are all aware of the curiosity this deity has for Satoshi, having given him the Z-ring and challenged him to battles often (also sending him to deadly Ultra Ruins lol). I love seeing it here.
Heading to Kalos, a lone Gekkouga appears! I can’t help but think of our boy’s Gekkouga here. There’s also Fiarrow, both notable ‘mon from Satoshi’s Kalos Team.
This bit in Unova is def just me but I can’t help but be reminded of the two episodes from Best Wishes where Iris got mummified by one Cofagrigus and how god damn terrifying the Litwick were with the Chandelure. I think I’ll be loving the Unova journey in this series for sure!
On Sinnoh, I think we all remember how big part of the plot both Diaga and Palkia were, so seeing them have such big spotlight here as well makes me think of those times. Also, Regi-gigas.
Then there’s Croagunk and Piplup and I can’t help but think of Takeshi’s and Hikari’s here.... man!
People having been talking about this bit, but it’s Dragonite hugging Meowth and Wobbuffet, and the two def have the Rocket Gang vibe to them, so Rocket Gang’s safe if you ask me! Also, I somehow think of that one Johto episode where a Dragonite was hugging and attached to Rocket Gang, then went on Outrage mode after they pissed it off... Is it just me? I think it eventually joined Clair’s team but, still.
Then there’s the Lugia reference but I don’t really get any vibes from it, maybe slight to the original Lugia movie lol (could ofc reference the Power of Us movie as well but shhh). There’s also Ho-oh in the poster but the quality is so freaking low on it that I’m not even gonna try capping it lol.
But yeh. What could this mean? Two options: it is a reboot and we’ll be going through similar events as before, referencing old events in a new way, or, as I more feel like, this continues from where Sun & Moon leaves us at and we’ll be revisiting old places and meeting with old allies with the same boy Satoshi we know and love from OS to Sun & Moon, while also for the first time visiting Galar.
To add some speculation, I think the series will start at Galar with Go’s introduction, similar to how Hikari and Haruka were done (I think Hikari was treated as a duo protagonist as well so the vibe I get from Go is similar to hers), more over to Hikari’s introduction style. We’ll then see Satoshi near the end of the episode arriving in Galar. That’s my guess at least. Guess we’ll learn soon enough!

How does the gang meet?
Ooo!! Yay headcanons!!
Ted and Charlotte meet first, seeing as they reign from the same region. They meet when they both arrive at the lab to receive their first pokemon! Prof.Sycamore is out on a research trip so our traveling Prof.Hidgens steps in to help out the young trainers.
Ted is eager to pick his first Pokemon while Charlotte simply wants to learn more about them questioning Prof.Hidgens. Ted immediately picks a little Froakie, he questions why Charlotte hasn’t picked one.
“I’m not really much of a trainer” She comments, he’s puzzled by this but finds it intriguing.
When Ted is leaving he and his Froakie are having slight trouble communicating, He sees Charlotte approach followed by a gorgeous Sylveon who looks delighted. She kneels down next to the Froakie and almost immediately befriends him.
They hang out a little while before Charlotte is called home due to a Pokemon emergency.
Bill and Emma are next, Its Hoenns day for picking your starter pokemon.
Emma is first in line at the lab and takes some time to talk with the eccentric Prof.Hidgens. He happily answers all her questions while she plays with his Piplup.
Bill is very shy and is stressing over his decision. He’s gone over everything he knows about his three options. (More on this when I describe how they picked their starters). He bumps into Prof.Hidgens and Emma while deep in thought, apologizing over and over before rejoining the line.
Paul had just arrived in Hoenn and is marveling at the new area, he is very exhausted after traveling by boat all day to reach the island and decides to rest in one of the forests. Emma is out looking for Pokemon on a slow day when she encounters a small Bulbasaur.
The pokemon looks unusually frightened and shys away from her. She approaches it slowly with her hand out. She hears a very distressed voice shouting through the forest growing stronger as it approaches. She fears the voice will scare the Pokemon but it seems it recognizes the voice
“Oh, Budo! There you are!” A boy emerges from the shadows, he throws himself at the very excited Bulbasaur who wraps his vines around the boy. The boy becomes aware of the girl’s presence and looks up
“Oh hi.. I’m Paul!” He looks down at his Bulbasaur “Sorry we were resting and I guess we got lost”
“I’m Emma! And your Bulbasaur is very cute” They remain awkwardly silent for a moment before Emma asks the inevitable “So… where are you from? I’m from.. well here!” She exclaims
“I’m from Kanto but I’m traveling all around! I’m not the best trainer but I love Pokemon and think I’m getting better” They discuss for awhile before night falls and they must part ways. Not, however, before Emma offers to help him train and they make plans to meet up tomorrow.
Bill and Paul meet shortly after this. Bill is walking around town reading followed by a very excited Eevee and a sleepy Mudkip lay on his head. Paul is exploring with his Psyduck trying to calm him down, his Bulbasaur following behind.
They bump into each other making the Mudkip fall into Paul who quickly catches it. The Eevee tries its best to intimidate Paul but its just too cute. Paul gets the message and hands the Mudkip back to the boy.
Bill adjusts his glasses “Oh thank you! I apologize, I was very caught up with my reading” He looks towards his Eevee “Sorry about him, he’s very passionate about his friends, I’m Bill by the way” he extends his hands, Paul shakes it firmly.
“I’m Paul” He gestures towards his Bulbasaur and Psyduck “This is Budo and Kincho” Bill’s eyes widen and he kneels down.
“Extraordinary” He whispers in awe. Paul gives him a weird look, Bill quickly resumes his position.
“Sorry, I’ve just never seen one before. He’s very cute and looks to be in excellent health and your Psyduck looks very calm” Paul beams with pride giving his Bulbasaur a high five, Budo responds with a vine five. The boys decide to head to a cafe nearby and spend all day talking about Pokemon. Paul learns more about his Pokemon from a very eager Bill. Bill hears about Pauls adventures across the regions and his love for Pokemon.
After this Bill starts joining the training sessions with Emma in the forest. However, he’s mainly there with his Eevee and his research equipment. The three become very fast friends.
Paul receives news from Kanto about his family, he must act quickly. He fully expects to have to say goodbye to his friend however when arriving at their final training session both Bill and Emma are ready and packed for a long journey.
The gang makes their way to Kanto and stay for a while before Paul receives confirmation that everything is ok. The group decides to head west to Johto to progress their Pokemon journey.
After a long day of travelling, they make camp in a secluded spot in the forest, Paul falls asleep first nestled closely with his Bulbasaur. Emma is next after a small training session with her Torchic and her newly found Eevee she met while in Kanto. Bill stays by the fire cuddled with his Eevee and leaning sleepily on his newly found Snorlax reading a book about the Johto area (Also found in Kanto)
He plans to sleep but suddenly he hears shouting and grunting deep in the forest. He becomes alert and motions for his Eevee to awaken the others.
They all approach slowly towards the noise cautiously and quickly hide behind a bush. They watch as two figures can be made out. A purple light is being emitted from the scene.
“Leave me alone!” A young girls voice shouts. She isn’t afraid but determined, Bills watches as the girl commands an order. He looks to where she is commanding and sees an Espeon. The Espeon is in a fighting stance, determination coursing through its eyes. Paul nudges Bill and points towards what appears to be the young girls opponent.
“Should we help?” Emma whispers. Bill considers this for a moment but before he can answer, the young girl makes another command. Shes good. She defeats the opposing Pokemon before scolding the opponent.
The three friends watch in awe as the opposing trainer races off in anger leaving his injured pokemon behind. The young girl sighs in sadness and approaches the Pokemon. “I’m so sorry” She whispers “You’re really hurt, we need to get you to a Poke Center” She claims. Bill knows better and pops out quickly.
“It won’t make it,” he says, much to the shock of his friends. The girl turns quickly in shock, holding a Mimikyu. He hears all his friends gasp at the sight of the Pokemon. It shouldn’t be here, it traveled a long way just to be abandoned. “Please let me help” the girl is weary at first before allowing Bill to help.
The group goes back to the camp and talk while Bills helps the Pokemon, assisted very eagerly by his Eevee.
“I’m Alice by the way…”. The group nod and introduce themselves. After a while, they all decide to rest and deal with everything in the morning.
Bill claims that Alice should keep the Mimikyu, to which she excitedly agrees to. The two become fast friends, and the group all agree to ask if she would like to join their journey. “I would love to,” She says honestly
They spend the day getting to know each other. Alice almost has a complete team of six, much to the group’s surprise. She’s the youngest of the four, but dont let that stop you. Shes extremely smart and tactical. Her pokemon are strong and very well cared for.
The group spends some more time in Johto, Paul gains a very chaotic Eevee. They decide to head north to Kalos to continue their journey.
Almost immediately they are confronted by a young trainer who challenges a very timid Bill to battle. Paul volunteers to take his place and they battle. Paul sends out his Bulbasaur, while the boy sends out a Froakie. Emma sighs at his obvious stupidity.
“Water types are weak against grass types” She comments. The boy glares at her then poses a very smug smile at Paul.
“That might be so, but my Froakie is extremely good” With this remarks, the boys battle it out, eventually declaring the boy the winner. Paul sighs discouraged comforted by a lowkey surprised Emma. Shell never admit it but she was impressed.
“I’m Ted by the way, but you can call me the best Pokemon Master” The group groans at Ted. Alice thinks for a moment before stepping forward.
“I’ll battle you" She claims. Ted’s smug smile falls as he stares at the girl. He scoffs but Alice doesn’t give in. “You scared?”
At this Ted becomes determined and accepts her battle request. Ted sends out his Machop, Alice smiles extremely smug and sends out her Espeon. Who takes one look at the Machop and smiles. The battle lasts about two minutes before Ted is unfortunately beat, he claims good game but shakes her hand just a little too hard.
Alice’s victory is short as she feels a Pokeball move around in her bag. She pulls it out and summons her Mimikyu. The group is shocked to find it in such bad shape.
Ted quickly volunteers to take them to a friend of his who can help. He claims there isn’t a Poke Center too nearby. He leads the group to a small house, located in a beautiful plane of grass. Surrounded by flowers and a small river.
A young girl is seen gardening assisted by a beautiful Sylveon and a very smug Delcatty. She smiled excitedly upon seeing Ted and the group of friends. She approaches them with a never faltering smile. She gives Ted a quick hug, his face flushes red before they let go. She turns to the others.
“I’m Charlotte!” They hurry their introductions and alert Charlotte of the situation. She nods and carefully takes the Mimikyu inside. She tends to it, much to the group surprise, it heals very quickly. While the ghost type rests she offers them food and they all talk about their journeys. Ted explains how he wishes he could travel around like them, Charlotte agrees and describes her passion for Pokemon. Emma invites them to join the journey. They both agree.
And that’s that. Im so sorry about how long this is. I was not expecting it. More will come soon though, how they found all their pokemon, getting their starters and more! Hope you enjoyed :)

Dan and Phil are actually outside for an extended period of time cause Pokemon
Summary: When he was 18, Phil Lester decided not to go on a Pokemon journey. But now he's graduated university and he has no idea where his life is headed. So he decides to get a starter Pokemon and fly to the Kalos region to collect all eight badges and maybe figure out what to do with himself.
Dan Howell just graduated from high school and is not hesitating to start his Pokemon journey. He just wants to escape the little town he grew up in and maybe actually become something worthwhile.

Phil Lester had run more in the past 5 minutes than the last 22 years of his life. And it showed, as he arrived at Professor Rowan’s lab sweaty and gasping for breath. The large and rather imposing building was in the middle of Sandgem Town, a fair distance away from Phil’s house.
A research assistant glanced up from his clipboard and briefly inspected the flushed visitor, quirking a disinterested brow. “Kath’s kid?” he guessed, gazing at Phil through bleary eyes. Trying not to take offense at the researcher’s dismissive tone - as he clearly hadn’t slept properly in weeks - Phil replied with a cheerful “Yep” between puffs of air before finally managing to catch his breath.
“I mean, yes, I am Kathryn’s son. My name’s Philip, uh, Philip Lester. But I just go by Phil though so you can call me that if you want.” He smiled, extending an arm in attempted greeting.The researcher regarded his friendly gesture with disdain and Phil dropped his hand, brushing it awkwardly against his pant leg. After a moment’s pause the man reluctantly replied “I’m Rob,” before gesturing vaguely at Phil and heading for the central laboratory. .
Phil trailed uncertainly behind Rob as he made his way confidently through the lab, struggling to take in the labyrinth of desks and machinery while still keeping up with the older man.
Finally, after enough twists and turns that Phil doubted he’d be able to find his way out of the building, they arrived at what seemed to be the central research area. “Rowan’s in there. He’ll talk to you,” Rob dismissed before turning on his heel and marching back down the hall.
Phil took a moment to reassess his life choices as he scanned the room. There were a lot of people. And Phil wasn’t 100% or even 50% sure about what exactly Professor Rowan looked like.
Timidly, Phil made his way further into the room, feeling wildly out of place among the haggard yet professional looking scientists. He stuck his hands in the pockets of his white hoodie trying to make himself as small as possible. Which wasn’t very small mind you, as even with his hunched posture, Phil stood at about 6’2.
“Philip!,” Phil startled, almost knocking some complex looking machine, earning himself unamused looks from several scientists. Luckily they were quickly distracted by the approach of a very stern looking bearded man in a lab coat. “Your mother told me you would be coming today,” he said, giving Phil a look that might have been reassuring were Phil not completely terrified of this man.
“My mother? Oh, oh you must be Professor Rowan. I’m so sorry I was just kinda brought here by this guy named Rob who I think needs to sleep more- and he just like left me here on my own and I didn’t know what to do and-“
He was cut off by a somewhat bemused chuckle from the professor, and he went silent, feeling even more self-conscious than before.
“Well, luckily you made it here in one piece. Please, follow me,” The professor beckoned Phil, who had to hurry to catch up to the professor’s confident stride.
“As you probably know already, normally when a child turns 18, they can choose to become a pokemon trainer. I provide these kids with their first pokemon,” Phil made a noise of confirmation. He had considered becoming a pokemon trainer when he first turned 18, but he had eventually decided to go to university instead. But now that graduation was finally over he wanted to at least give pokemon training a go.
“Now here in Sinnoh you have three choices,” Rowan came to a halt in front of a small metal canister containing three poke balls. “I presume that you know them but just in case you’re still making your final decision,” Rowan opened the canister, tapping the buttons on each of the pokéballs.
Phil was actually having a bit of trouble deciding which pokemon to pick. Chimchar was a great option of course but Phil had ruled him out before even getting to the lab. He wouldn’t be unhappy with a Chimchar but he just didn’t think that the fire line was the one for him. This left the other two.
On the one hand Piplup was adorable and Phil had always had a soft spot for water starters. But on the other hand Turtwig had a plant on its back, which was very appealing given Phil’s love of houseplants.
Ultimately he decided it would be best to meet the pokemon before making his final decision.
The three pokemon stared up at him, clearly anticipating his decision. Phil felt kinda bad picking between them; he never liked choosing favourites and this was literally all about choosing favourites. And what happened if he chose wrong? What if he regretted his decision later? This was the start of his journey and if he messed up now then what did that mean for the future of said journey? What if-
“Go with your gut son,” Phil snapped back to reality at Rowan’s words. His gut? He wasn’t good at that. But he supposed he didn’t have a choice if he wanted to get out of here within the next ten years. And honestly, if he were to go with his gut…
“Piplup,” Phil tried to sound sure of himself, but he probably just came across as nervous and loud. That didn’t seem to matter to Piplup though, as the little penguin made an excited cheeping sound and jumped right at Phil’s chest.
Flailing a little bit, Phil was luckily able to catch Piplup before the poor bird hit the floor. Rowan laughed a little, and Phil couldn’t help but join in. Piplup certainly seemed like he would be an energetic companion. Phil only hoped that he would be able to keep up.
“Piplup seems like an excellent choice for you Philip,” Rowan encouraged, returning the other two starters to their respective pokeballs. Phil nodded in agreement.
“I think so as well. And I hope that the other two will be able to find good partners as well,” Phil glanced nervously at the two remaining pokeballs, still feeling bad about the pokemon he was leaving behind.
“Oh don’t you worry. They’ll find good homes. For now, however, we should get you and piplup on your way” Rowan turned to another desk and riffled through a few drawers before turning back to Phil with a handful of pokeballs and a pokedex.
“You might want to put Piplup down before I hand you anything else,” Rowan recommended, nodding towards the little penguin that Phil was still clutching to his chest. Phil deposited piplup back on the table and turned back to Rowan, almost running into his outstretched hand.
“In a rush are we?” Rowan said, keeping a firm grip on the pokedex he was holding out to Phil.
“No sir! I just didn’t want to keep you waiting,” Phil explained, feeling his cheeks reddening as he tried to explain himself.
“No need to panic son, it was just a joke,” Rowan assured as Phil took the blue pokedex.
“Oh right, sorry” Phil smiled awkwardly. Now he was in a bit of a rush to get out of here. Though that was due more to embarrassment about his apparent inability to take a joke than anything else.
“I hope you know how a pokedex works already?” Rowan asked as Phil inspected the machine in his hands.
“Yeah, I’ve read about them before. But I’ve never actually held one, so this is pretty exciting,” Phil explained before slipping it into his pocket. He would be able to check it out in more detail after Rowan was done with him.
“And of course you know how these work,” Rowan continued, handing Phil five pokeballs. Phil nodded, clipping them onto his belt so he could get at them easily if need be.
“This is Piplup’s pokeball, but you can keep him out of it of course.” Rowan handed Phil one final pokeball, this one full sized, as it had recently been used.
Phil glanced at Piplup “You wanna go back into your ball, or would you rather stay out with me for a while?” he asked. Piplup cheeped again, and while Phil didn’t exactly speak pokemon, he was pretty sure Piplup was indicating the fact that he would rather stay out for a little while. So Phil shrunk down his pokeball and put it alongside the others.
“Is that all?” Phil asked, picking up Piplup and turning back to Rowan. Rowan nodded.
“That should be it. Unless you wanted some information about where you should go next?” Phil shook his head.
“Actually I wasn’t going to stay in Sinnoh.” This made Rowan raise an eyebrow.
“Is that so? Well in that case, what region were you thinking of exploring instead?”
“I was planning on making my way over to Kalos actually,” Phil admitted, hugging piplup a little closer to his chest.
Phil’s parents had desperately wanted him to stay in Sinnoh. It was easier for them to visit each other if Phil was in the same region as them. But ultimately they had supported Phil’s decision. He had always stayed close to home, and if he was going to go on this grand journey or whatever it was supposed to be, he wanted to go all out.
Phil still wasn’t quite sure as to why he chose Kalos specifically. He had spent months going over his options and he couldn’t even narrow it down to three, but about a month ago he had decided that Kalos was the way to go, for no reason in particular other than it felt right. Maybe he was better at listening to his gut than he thought.
“Oh, I’m actually good friends with a professor there. Professor Sycamore is his name. It’s a fascinating region. Good choice Philip.”
“Thank you sir,” Phil’s grip on Piplup relaxed a little bit at Rowan’s approval. It was comforting to know that Rowan knew people from that region and still thought it was a good choice. Phil figured that was a good endorsement.
“Well then, you’d best be on your way. Remember to call your mother from time to time okay? We don’t want her to worry about you.”
“Oh I don’t think that’ll be a problem sir. If I didn’t call my mother on a regular basis I’m afraid she might skin me alive.” And even without the incentive of keeping his skin, Phil still wanted to keep in touch with his family. Especially his brother, who was moving to Kanto a few weeks after Phil was to arrive in Kalos. Martin had scored some kind of paid internship in Professor Oak’s lab, and Phil desperately wanted to know how it went.
“I’ll be off then,” Phil put Piplup down so that he could shake the professor’s hand, “It was very nice to meet you Professor Rowan.”
“Likewise Philip. I wish you all the best in Kalos.” Rowan’s handshake was firm and a little bit intimidating, but Phil tried to ignore it and returned the shake best he could. “Though, before you go, I was wondering if you could do me a quick favor.”
“Yeah, of course. What is it you need?” Ronan released Phil’s hand from his death grip and walked over to his desk. When he returned, he was carrying a sealed envelope.
“Could you deliver this to Professor Sycamore when you arrive in Lumios city? His lab is there, so it won’t be out of your way. And I’ll let him know you’re coming.” Ronan handed Phil the letter, which he tucked into his jacket pocket.
“No problem. It’ll be nice to meet him anyways so this is no trouble. Thank you again for, y’know, the pokemon and stuff.” And on that awkward note, Phil walked back into the main room of the lab, leaving Rowan to get back to whatever it was that pokemon professors did.
Phil was shown out of the building by a different, yet equally sleep deprived, scientist. Making his way back home, Phil looked down at Piplup, waddling along happily beside him, and couldn’t help but smile a little bit.
“Let’s hope this isn’t a disaster.”

So Seungmin suddenly calls you out of nowhere

He also brags about being really good and ready to win
And usually you're not that competitive but when he brags like this you switch to fighting mode
So you're like okay I'm gonna beat yo ass better prepare sweetie and all
Because you have this super badass team with only huge and powerful Pokemons
First you search your ds you didn't switch on since circa 398 bC
And then you hurry up to his place to show him who's the best
But to your surprise, Seungmin's actually really good
It's hard to admit but even though he only has super cute Pokemons, his strategy is on point
And he's kinda ?? winning??
You can't stand to loose with someone who has a Clefable when you have a Charizard
And what's a sore looser to do in such a situation?
Turn off the ds yes
So you put on your most innocent smile as if it switched off by itself
But Seungmini's not a pabo and as you try to escape he knocks you down on the couch and start tickling you TO DEATH
So you're just crying laughing for a while because he's even better at tickling than at playing Pokemon
And when he finally stops and let you catch your breath, you have to admit your defeat

Felix x Torchic
You're kinda stressed about missing your plane
Kinda stressed means you made your boyfriend come to the airport at 2 in the morning when the plane leaves at 7
Now that the two of you are almost alone and with nothing to do you regret a little
But Felix is really hyped up about traveling and has no intention to rest
So he challenges you to a trolley run
Then you find the children area and play in the balls pool
Then he shows off some dance moves in the middle of the empty terminal
And damn he dances really well
And it's feels like you've been here for 5 minutes when it's actually been hours
Felix ends up falling asleep in a waiting room at 5am, right when the airport shops start to open
(can you imagine his puffy face after taking a little nap ajdkdk I'm soft )
And when you wake him up for the check in, he finds a cute little Torchic plushie on his head
You tell him it's a present for being super patient and he just blushes and hug the plushie
"I'm gonna take care of her, I hope she's not afraid of taking the plane !"
Han x Jolteon
So you and Jisung went hiking together
The weather is so nice, the sun's shining, the birds are chirping and all
And you brought your new camera that you absolutely want to try
So you search for animals while Jisung follows you mindlessly while on his phone

And you find a super cute little bird and you approach it quietly
But right when you're about to take a picture Jisung screams and the smol bird flies away

You kinda wanna push him down the hill at that moment
Because he made you miss your shoot

But he's too cute to be mad at so you just sigh and go sitting in the grass
You look at the beautiful scenery for a while then Jisung joins you

Then he smiles at you and honestly you can feel butterflies in your stomach
So you give him a quick peck
And the two of blush hard but are so happy to be together

Hyunjin x Piplup
It's your 6 month anniversary with Hyunjin !!!
So the two of you decided to have a picnic next to the river
There's delicious food, he's being really sweet and he even brought you flowers
After eating you want to do something fun
So you suggest renting a small boat to sail on the river
Hyunjin LOVES the idea
So you go to the renting area and there are several kind of boats
Your boyfriend already knows the one he wants
The swan one
He starts to talk about why he really wants this one because swans are so majestic blahblahblah
He starts comparing himself to a swan and you just laugh cause he looks really serious about it
But then you see there's a Piplup boat
And it's just so freaking adorable and you want to go on this one
But Hyunjin's still talking about the deep symbolism hiding behind the swan boat
So you just decide to go for the swan one because it changes nothing and you want Hyunjin to fulfil his weird dream of riding a swan boat
However
Right when you start walking to the swan boat, he takes your hand and leads you to the Piplup one
You're so surprised and happy
So when you're on board you hug him super tightly while he laughs
"You know I'm a swan, but for you I can be as cute and sweet as a Piplup"

Summer Dreams -- Chapter Eighteen

“I’d say that it was fun walking to their place of work, but getting lost kind of put a damper on that,” I roll my eyes as the Big Hit Entertainment building comes into view.
“At least we got here practically on time,” Emily shrugs. “Next time we should just get a taxi or have Nari drive us.”
“They could just send someone to pick us up,” I firmly nod, crossing my arms over my chest. “Maybe they will do that next time.”
“Next time will probably next summer. I’d just like to hang out with them more, period.”
“I agree with you there. I’d like to spend whole days with them, and know that I can see them whenever I want.”
“Crazier things have happened, so I think that dream will come true,” Emily opens the building’s door, and we shuffle inside. “Namjoon said that he would be in the lobby to grab us.”
“There he is,” I point to Namjoon standing off to the side, then start overly waving to get his attention.
Namjoon’s eyes catch my movements, taking a second to focus in on us before he smiles and waves us over.
“He’s like our official greeter every time,” Emily chuckles as we make our way over to him.
“Good afternoon,” Namjoon crosses his arms. “I’m surprised that you are only a little late, since Emily texted me saying you got lost.”
“Lost is a strong word,” I tap my jaw with my index finger.
“You just used it outside,” Emily looks at me with a side eye squint.
“Shut up,” I pout. “We got to see some more of the city, so did we really get lost?”
“Yes,” Namjoon and Emily grin at each other.
“You guys are no fun,” I shake my head.
“That’s because we are just standing in the lobby,” Namjoon turns to face where the elevators are. “Follow me, and we can get to where everyone else is.”
“Quick question,” Emily says as we journey to the elevators. “Is this how all other groups or solos work? In an office like building?”
“There are dance rooms, studios, conference rooms, even office,” Namjoon answers. “Everything needed for the creation and production of the Korean music scene.”
“This place is amazing,” I smile as Namjoon pushes the up-button.
“From an outsiders view, I guess it is pretty interesting.” Namjoon shrugs, “Just another building where we work, though.”
“So, all the others are in the room where you practice?” Emily clarifies.
“Yes, all waiting for us, and they are all excited to see you.”
The elevator dings and the doors open. The three of us step inside and Namjoon pushes a floor number.
“Can you repeat the information on the final boy we are meeting today?” I lean against the wall.
“Jeon Jungkook,” Namjoon starts, “Jungkook on the stage. Sixteen years old, so he’s the youngest.”
“Ah, the baby,” Emily giggles. “Maknae, if I remember correctly.”
“That is right. Kookie is our maknae.”
“Kookie?” I giggle. “That is too cute.”
“Everyone does think that he is adorable.”
The elevator comes to a stop and the door opens. Then the three of us step out and Namjoon leads the way down the hall. About a minute later, Namjoon briefly stops at a door before opening in and walking in. Emily and I are not far behind.
The room we walk into has a mirror on one wall, and nice hard wood floor. The six other members of BTS are warming up in different ways all over the room.
“We made it!” Namjoon shouts out, quickly switching to ramble off all kinds of things in Korean.
“Amber,” Taehyung, a huge smile on his face, walks up to me. “Oh, and Emily.”
“Hi Taehyung,” I almost reach out to grab his hand, but stop myself.
“Jungkook is over there,” Taehyung motions to a boy on his phone. “Meet him, then come right back to me,” he cups my cheeks in his hands. “Okay?”
“Sure thing, Taehyung,” I giggle, moving his hands off my face. “Jealous of your maknae?”
Taehyung’s face instantly drops. “No. He cannot take you. Besides, I am much cuter than him.”
“He won’t,” I grab Emily’s hand, walking us over to Jungkook.
“Um, hi Jungkook,” Emily speaks up.
The boy looks up and slowly smiles. “Hi,” he comes off as shy, and his looks are very adorable. He doesn’t have a really defined face, his jaw line hasn’t developed that much yet. His hair is black and a bit shaggy. He has dark brown, basically black, eyes. His nose is slender and button like, slightly plump lips, and seems to be Taehyung’s height.
“Nae ileum-eun Amber ibnida,” I smile, knowing how much it means to him that I talk to him in his own language.
“Nae ileum-eun Emily ibnida,” Emily pulls her hand out of mine.
“Ah, so Taehyung was right when he said you could speak Korean,” Jungkook nods, the worry of communicating in a language he does not know floating away.
“You are close to our age, and I hope to spend a lot of time together,” I shift around on my feet. “We don’t know much Korean, but we can still talk.”
“I think it is very nice that you are trying so hard to learn a foreign language to talk to us,” he ruffles his hair.
“This might be easier if I get Namjoon,” Emily chuckles. “I’ll be right back,” she turns on her heel.
“Hi cutie,” Taehyung’s voice fills my ears as arms wrap around my shoulders.
“Oh, hi, Taehyung,” I giggle. “Nice of you to join us.”
Taehyung dives into Korean faster than I can track, and Jungkook responds just as quickly. I get lost in their words since I can’t understand anything, and it is pointless to even try to catch what they might be saying.
“Do you need translating?” Namjoon steps up with Emily on his arm.
“Yes, a lot,” I pout. “You all talk too fast. Taehyung just sprouting so much Korean way too fast that I think it was on purpose.”
“Maybe,” Taehyung gives me a small squeeze.
“You’ll get used to it, and it all comes with learning,” Namjoon says. “For now, I am happy to help you two girls.”
“Well, I don’t think that these two will tell you what they were just discussing, so that will be pointless,” I sigh.
“I was just telling him about you,” Taehyung rests his chin on my shoulder. “Don’t worry about it.”
“He was just telling me how you two are best friends,” Jungkook speaks up. “And that we can be friends, too.”
“Once I become fluent in Korean, for sure,” I nod a few times.
“It doesn’t seem like you need much help,” Namjoon grins, switching to English. “There are some pronunciation issues, but I’m sure that’s an accent issue and you’ll grasp it eventually.”
“We’ll keep working at it,” Emily lets go of Namjoon’s arm.
“I’ll try to get what Taehyung said out of him later, and then I can text Emily about it.”
“It doesn’t matter, really,” I duck out of Taehyung’s grasp, turning to gently jab at his stomach a few times. “I think I can figure out what it was about. He doesn’t want his maknae to make a move on me, but maybe he should make a move already.”
Taehyung grabs my hands, giggles fluttering out of his mouth like music to my ears. “Watch me as we dance, okay?” He taps my nose as he speaks in his native tongue.
“Sure,” I firmly nod. “But I have to sneak a glance at the others.”
“I want to have most of your attention, though.”
“I’m sure you do, Tae,” Namjoon pats the boy on the shoulder. “We should probably get to work now.”
“Before that,” Yoongi’s voice makes me jump as he steps up to us. “How come you didn’t come say hi to me?” He crosses his arms over his chest as he looks at me. “I thought we were friends.”
I chuckle, “We are friends, but I had to meet Jungkook.”
“She’s going to be all of our friends, and so is Emily,” Jungkook slowly stands up. “Don’t keep her to yourself, like Tae-hyung wants to do.”
“I am not going to keep her from anyone,” Taehyung pouts.
“I have a say in what I do, too,” I briefly raise my hand. “Don’t worry, I am going to spend time with all of you when we have the chance.”
“I still have yet to get a hug,” Yoongi huffs.
“You are like a big family,” Emily smiles, turning back to English. “All this teasing and how well you know each other.”
“A dysfunctional family, that’s for sure,” Namjoon sighs.
I wrap my arms around Yoongi’s middle, “Those are the best kinds, though. You are also a band of brothers that have no blood relation, which makes it even better. Families that you make give such a heartwarming feeling.”
“One day you might get to join this crazy family. As long as you want to keep hanging out with us, and decided to keep coming back to Korea.”
“I wouldn’t mind being a member of this family,” I giggle, taking a step away from Yoongi. “It would be an adventure, and I would be ready to be a part of that journey.”

“Another day spent relaxing in an apartment that is starting to feel a lot like home,” I giggle as I lie down on my side on the couch. My eyes are trained on the screen of my DS as I continue my journey in Pokémon. “This feels so natural.”
“This is the only change you will ever be excited for,” Emily chuckles as she leans back in the recliner to pop the footrest out.
“That’s probably true. Most humans despise change, and I am in the boat with all those people. Change makes it feel like I have no control. It makes my brain go crazy with all that I will have to do, or all that I have to get used to all over again.”
“Nari has been such a blessing to help us transition. Without her I don’t think that this trip would be going nearly as well.”
“I think that meeting the boys has also helped me enjoy this trip to the max,” I curse under my breath as my lead Pokémon, Piplup, faints. “There’s something to look forward to.”
“It is nice to know that we get to hang out with them with the effort it takes to plan those times together.”
“I really want to learn how to dance like the boys. Yesterday was too cool. That get to do that every day. It is their job to dance and sing, which is amazing.”
“That is their element. It is what they are working so hard at to be the best that they can be. They look so happy and free, too.”
“We should probably listen to their music a lot more now since we’ve met all of the group, and we looked like total dorks when the song played of the speakers and we had no clue what it was.”
“That would be a good idea, but where do we start? Don’t they have a couple albums as well as mini-albums?”
“I’m on it,” I set my DS down, reaching an arm out to snatch my phone off the coffee table. “I’ll actually have their songs downloaded already thanks to Tae one day some time ago, so I’ll just play it in order from oldest to newest.”
“Did they say they leave for America soon? What are they going to do over there?”
“In a week, yes. They are going to L.A. for some reason, but that is all I know.” I turn the volume on my phone up, placing it back on the coffee table.
“Taehyung better ask you out on a date before he leaves then. You two need to figure out what the hell your relationship is before we are apart for months.”
“Well, that is up to Tae if he wants to ask me out. He said he was going to text me today, but I’m still waiting,” I focus back in on my DS.
“They are busy, as we saw yesterday, so I am sure he is waiting until they are given a long break to be able to talk to you.”
“Yeah, that’s probably it,” I take a deep breath. “How are you and Namjoon?”
“Good, I guess. He asked me on a date, if you can call it that, to the bookstore downtown. I’m sure he would like for it to just be the two of us, but I kind of want to make it a double date with you and Taehyung. You love books, so you could get some as Namjoon told me there’s an English section.”
“I could make that happen,” I let a small yawn escape my lips. “Not comfortable being alone with him just yet?”
“That, and we promised Nari that we would always be together.”
“Ah, yes, we can’t leave the apartment without the other. Remind me to ask Taehyung about double dating to the bookstore when he texts today.”
“As long as you tell me what you two are talking about, I can remind you about the double date suggestion.”
“I’m loving this music,” I tap my feet to the beat. “I can understand bits and pieces, but there’s still room for improvement.”
“For the short amount of time that we have been studying the language, I think that we are doing good to pick out words in a song.”
In the next second, the music cuts out as my ringtone of the Marvel theme takes over.
“That can be one of three people, and Nari is not having lunch right now,” Emily speaks up. “Better answer quickly before he wonders if you still are friends.”
“He’s not that clingy,” I roll my eyes, setting my DS down once again and reaching to grab my phone off the coffee table. “He is just worrying right now since we have yet to put a label on what we are.”
“The label will be a couple, but everyone has to be patient.”
I click my phone on, seeing that Taehyung is the one who has texted me. “If only Yoongi would have texted and made this funny.”
| Taehyung: Hello cutie! I didn’t forget about texting you, so I hope you weren’t worrying.
| Me: Hey Tae. I have just been playing Pokémon and relaxing as I wait for your text. How is work going?
“It would be nice if Namjoon texted me now too, but I bet he’s got a lot of other things on his mind,” Emily sighs, placing her notebook on the side table. “Tell me what he says when I get back from the bathroom,” she points at me as she stands up, and before I know it is out of the room.
| Taehyung: Work is good. I miss having you here to watch. It feels better when there is an audience that enjoys what we do.
| Me: I’ll just have to come back some day and watch you again!
| Taehyung: I want you to come back as much as possible because I like being around you.
| Me: I like being around you too, Tae.
| Taehyung: The others will yell at me if I don’t ask you this, and over text helps me feel more confident. Do you want to go out to dinner with me?
I feel my heart skip a beat as I read the text over and over again for the words to sink in. I want to jump off the couch and dance all over the room. I’m too comfy to do so, but smile as wide as possible as I text back.
| Me: I’ve actually been waiting for you to ask me out on a proper date. So, yes, I’d love to go out to dinner with you!
| Taehyung: Really? Ah, you make me so happy! I have a free day in a few days on the tenth. Can you make that?
| Me: Of course I can make that. I better get to work with my Korean lessons.
| Taehyung: I don’t even need to talk when I’m around you.
| Me: Okay, now you are just being flirty.
“What’s going on out here?” Emily enters the living room. “Why are you smiling so big? Oh my god, did he ask you out? On a real date?”
I nod a few times, glancing up to see my best friend with a smile equally as big as mine. “Dinner, on the tenth. Just the two of us. Is this real life?”
“I can pinch you if you want.”
“No, I don’t think that will be necessary. Better ask about the double date before he gets back to practice.”
| Me: Oh, and Tae, could you ask Namjoon if it would be okay if we tag along with him on his date with Emily? She doesn’t want to be alone.
| Taehyung: Of course! I’m sure Namjoon will let us come along.
| Me: Great, thank you so much! I better let you get back to work.
| Taehyung: I can’t wait for our date. Wear something cute! Like you always do.
| Me: Will do, Tae! It will probably be the next time we see each other.
| Taehyung: We’ll talk about all the details later. Have a great rest of the day, cutie!
| Me: You too! Have fun with the rest of your practice. I’ll be cheering you on!
| Taehyung: You cheering me on will get me through anything.
“You have to tell me everything, Amber,” Emily has taken her seat in the recliner with her notebook back on her lap. “My best friend is going on her first real date.”
“I only know that we are going out to dinner in like, four days?” I set my phone back on the coffee table, knowing I’ll be reading over those texts again later. “He said he’ll let me know where later, and what time, and probably what to wear. He also said he’ll ask Namjoon if we can tag along to your bookstore date.”
“Basically he didn’t know if you were going to say yes since you two barely know each other, and he doesn’t have anything set in stone yet,” Emily chuckles. “That is actually super cute because it means he worked up the guts to ask you.”
“That, and the they other boys were going to strangle him if he didn’t.” I pick my DS up once again, hoping that I can play more without getting distracted. “Nari is going to be ecstatic when we tell her the news.”
“She’ll be the one driving you to the restaurant so she knows where you’ll be for a few hours.”
“I wouldn’t have it any other way,” I grin. “Now, the music is back on, and I really want to beat this gym, so we can go back to the silence before all the crazy happened.”
“It’s a good thing that I still have big chunks of the scrapbooks to plan, or else we would be planning everything for your date right now.”
“I have multiple days to plan all I want, so there is no reason to worry,” I start moving my head gently to the beat. “Besides, the more I think about it, the more nervous I will get, and I don’t want to go crazy.”

The Nonsense Thing in Diamond’s Head Today 4: My Favorite Pokemon
*Lusamine header for no reason whatsoever*
Diamond here with another weird thing. To further expand into Pokemon-related topics, I thought I’d teach you a bit about me and direct your attention to my header photo. That is a grid of my favorite Pokemon of each type. Why did I choose those? What significance do they have? You’re about to find out! I will list these in order by type - I have no real order for which ones I like more than others. Let’s get started!
GRASS: SERPERIOR. Serperior is the final form of Snivy, the Gen 5 Grass starter. I pick Serperior for two reasons. First, its Hidden Ability. Contrary is one of the best abilities in the game. Serperior uses it masterfully. It has access to Leaf Storm, a move that usually lowers the user’s Special Attack. But with a Contrary Pokemon, that Special Attack is going straight up. Yes, each turn a Contrary Serperior uses Leaf Storm, it will only get stronger. If that’s not fabulous I don’t know what is. Reason 2: It just looks so cool. It’s a 10'10 snake. It could literally kill and eat you. So regal and snaky.
FIRE: INFERNAPE. Infernape, the final form of Gen 4 Fire starter Chimchar. Infernape holds special significance to me. I started my Pokemon journey with Pokemon Diamond, knowing nothing about the game or creatures within. Chimchar was my first. Yes, Chimchar is my equivalent to Ash’s Pikachu, Brock’s Steelix, May’s Blaziken, Dawn’s Piplup, Serena’s Braixen, and Lillie’s Vulpix, Snowy. Infernape and I went through a great journey together and I couldn’t ask for a better partner.
WATER: SHARPEDO/MEGA SHARPEDO. Though Infernape might be my first, Water is in fact my favorite type. Sharpedo, Archie’s partner, wasn’t a Pokemon I gave much thought to until Gen 6. Gen 6 gave it a pretty great boost with a Mega Evolution. There’s a combination I like to use with my Sharpedo. First, I protect it for a turn (or two if I’m lucky) and let its Hidden Ability Speed Boost bulk it up a bit. Then I Mega Evolve it and let Jaws tear up the field. It’s a Pokemon that can use Strong Jaw to its advantage! Not to mention the Mega Evolution is sick. It’s super big and has spikes protruding from its nose. You are not safe. I’m still waiting for a Pokemon parody of Sharknado with Sharpedo. It is my first and favorite choice of Mega.
NORMAL: SILVALLY. Here’s another one falling into the “Cool Looks and Ability” category! It’s Gladion’s best buddy and discount Arceus. The discount Arceus factor is part of my reasoning for choosing it. The other is its utter versatility. All its stats are equal, meaning it has ground as a Physical Attacker, Special Attacker, or maybe both. Its signature move, Multi-Attack, will always be STAB, Memory or not. And have you seen Gladion’s Silvally? So cool.
ELECTRIC: LUXRAY. The electric lion of the Sinnoh region takes this slot. I’ve always liked Luxray’s appearance. That jet black fur with the gleaming eyes is really intimidating. Speaking of Intimidate, it has the ability going for it (even if its stats are trash). Not sold on why you should like Luxray? Look at Clemont’s. He’s so cool. He’s Clemont’s war beast that lights up the field with Electric Terrain and jumps on Ash. “A Campus Reunion” is one of my favorite episodes of X and Y, and Luxray is a big part of that.
PSYCHIC: MEOWSTIC. Oh yes, I am choosing the advanced version of demon spawn cat Espurr for this one. Meowstic has a unique concept in that both genders have different appearances, movesets, and abilities. Females go on the offensive (which is awesome in itself), while males stick to defense. The male sticks out here for me because he has access to Prankster, a great ability that gives priority to status moves such as Swagger, Taunt, and Torment. The female has access to Competitive, which is okay but not as great as Prankster. The male also just looks cooler. The vivid blue with white stripes just feels better to me than vice versa.
FIGHTING: LUCARIO. The Pokemon that helped decode the mystery of Mew! I love Lucario. It has reached the iconic state shared by Pokemon such as Pikachu, Charizard, and Mewtwo. While it may not be the best stat-wise, its character makes up for that. It’s a loyal puppo that can throw Aura Spheres and make bones in its hands. I mained it for a while during Smash. And can I add how cool it is in the anime? Maylene’s Lucario takes no shit from her because it knows she can do better. Cameron may be a pathetic rival, but his Lucario is really tough and relatable (seriously… have you seen it eating ice cream?). Korrina’s Lucario is loyal and truly wants to improve when it can’t control its Mega Evolution. Lucario’s Mega is cool, but underwhelming compared to others. I will always stick with my original Fighting-Steel puppo.
ROCK: LYCANROC MIDNIGHT FORME. In case you didn’t get the hint from my Lucario analysis, I love dogs. Lycanroc is an awesome dog. Three forms, all with different strengths and cool links to the elements. None of them are the most superior in competitive play, but they’ve already become infamous among Pokemon fans. I choose the Midnight Form as my favorite because it’s an awesome rock werewolf. It just looks so cool! It also executes its special Z-Move, Splintered Stormshards, the snazziest. Midday Lycanroc is a standard loyal Poke-doggo, but it doesn’t have the same charm as Midnight Lycanroc for me. Dusk Lycanroc is a fusion between the two, but my OCD will not ignore that blue and red do NOT make green. I’ll battle with my loyal, badass lycanthrope any day!
GROUND: MUDSDALE. THE GORGEOUS HORSIE OF THE ALOLA REGION! The minute I laid my eyes on Mudsdale, I knew it would be awesome. I doubt you’re surprised if you read my content. I love how it’s based on the Clydesdale horse, which can get HUMONGOUS. (Google them!) I’m 5'9 and I could ride this if it was real (unlike Charizard)! Its Stamina ability is superb and has helped kick my ass many times. Plus it has cool dreadlocks! Not to mention its connection to Hapu, a perfect cupcake of a Pokemon character. I fully expect that Pokemon theme park that’s opening in 2020 to have a Mudsdale merry-go-round. I NEED TO RIDE MY PONY.
FLYING: DRIFBLIM. Gen Z, a long time ago when we played with Wiis, we had a game called My Pokemon Ranch. The game allowed you to watch Pokemon up to Gen 4 and transfer your own Pokemon from Diamond, Pearl, and Platinum. You can also visit other people’s ranches, and when you do, a Pokemon close to you follows you. That Pokemon for me was Drifblim. The dopey-looking balloon thing from Gen 4 was glued to my side when I visited my friends. I’m amused that it’s gaining some viability in tournament play now with Tapu Lele and Unburden. My choice is less about the tournament play and more about how a balloon was my best friend in a cheesy Pokemon spin-off.
BUG: SCOLIPEDE. The largest Bug-type in the Pokeverse. I was still a little naive when I got Pokemon Black. Scolipede was one of my first captures in the game and became a staple of my team. I love its design. Most Bug-types are pretty small and don’t intimidate the opponent too much. Scolipede does this. It’s even larger than Buzzwole and Pheromosa! The stats and abilities got a mild boost in Gen 6, with the Attack gaining an additional 10 points and its Hidden Ability becoming Speed Boost. I do believe my wonderful horror movie beast is underrated and should get more appreciation instead of being delegated to an antagonistic role in the anime.
POISON: MAREANIE. James’s latest crush also has a spot in my heart. Mareanie has a wonderful design. A blue and purple color palette that can poison a person with less effort than Nililego. Mareanie and her evolution, Toxapex, have access to two boss abilities, Merciless and Regenerator. Toxapex is cool, but it’s a theory I have with Mareanie that causes the pre-evolution to win me over. If Mareanie can fully wrap herself around James’s giant head, it could wrap around my torso and carry my necessities in its tentacles. It’s a companion and a backpack! Thank God for Mareanie.
DARK: WEAVILE. Another Pokemon I have fond memories of from my Diamond and Pearl days, Weavile is the long-awaited evolution of Sneasel from Gen 4. I caught a Sneasel and played around with her for a while… AND THEN MY NAIVE BUTT LEARNED HOW YOU EVOLVE IT. I patiently waited until it became dark outside and I leveled Sneasel up and BAM WEAVILE. Weavile became one of my most used Pokemon in that game. For tournament play, its stats are actually pretty good, and both its abilities (Pressure and Pickpocket) do damage in different ways. And it just looks so menacing! That’s what a Dark-type should be.
GHOST: MIMIKYU. I mean… what’s not to love about a Pikachu clone? Okay, it’s not a clone in the essence of Pachirisu or Togedemaru. The concept around it is so heartbreaking and creepy and lovable. Unlike most Ghost-types, Mimikyu just wants to be your friend! It’s super powerful, too. Its Disguise ability is amazing and can change the dynamic of a battle in seconds. Its typing also gives it few weaknesses and THREE immunities. And need I mention the Z-Move? It’s the best Z-Move I’ve ever seen. Splintered Stormshards is cool, but you really need to look out for the dreaded Let’s Snuggle Forever. Mimikyu just wants to do its best for you and you should love it.
ICE: ALOLAN VULPIX. Yes, Snowy is in on this! I’ve always loved the Fire-type Vulpix. But when it gained the Ice-type, it became 10 times fluffier! It’s a walking cotton ball! I’m disappointed Build-a-Bear only has the Fire variant because I want to get the Ice variant and hug it and love it and pet it and squeeze it. And y'all know by now how I feel about Lillie and her family. Snowy is so supportive of her! Even though she’s the youngest Pokemon of the main characters, she clearly understands Lillie’s past and trouble with touching Pokemon. She gives Lillie a nice distance while staying close. One of the most supportive Pokemon I’ve ever seen. And I want one as a pet. (Oh yeah and it and its evolution have access to Snow Warning which is also pretty fab.)
STEEL: EXCADRILL. I have a special relationship with the Subterrene Pokemon. The minute I saw Iris’s Excadrill, I wanted to train one. It looks awesome! A badass drill mole with a ‘tude. And it can hold its own in tournament play! Defensively, its typing is awesome. The Steel-type can resist so much and switch into Toxic without fear. It can learn not one, but TWO OHKO moves (Fissure and Horn Drill). And the three abilities it has access to are all great. You could go for pure power with Sand Force, get the upper hand on speed with Sand Rush, or negate abilities like Levitate and Fur Coat with Mold Breaker! Its small size doesn’t do it justice considering how big of a threat it is.
DRAGON: DRAMPA. FALKOR. At least that’s what I thought when I saw Turtonator’s Moon counterpart for the first time. Believe it or not, Falkor actually has some things going for it! Two out of its three possible abilities are amazing. Cloud Nine removes the effects of weather, while Berserk shoots that Special Attack up after HP is halved. Plus, it’s so fluffy! Lana and Mallow playing with this guy gives me all the feels. You do you, Falkor.
FAIRY: PRIMARINA. I end this list by fawning over the final form of our beloved Popplio. I was hesitant as to what the clown seal would evolve into. But this thing just straight-up Neville Longbottomed. It is beautiful! It looks like it came out of a Disney movie. Its battling skills aren’t too shabby, either. Sparkling Aria hits everyone on the field and heals burns for some reason. But it could help heal a partner with Water Absorb or Dry Skin. The Z-Move this can turn into, Oceanic Operetta, just blows my mind with the animation. If you want a reason to use Sparkling Aria, the Z-Move is a good reason. But let’s get to the best part: Its Hidden Ability, Liquid Voice. HYPER VOICE IS WATER NOW. 'Nuff said.
And now you know my favorite Pokemon. My team and I would love a battle sometime. Diamond out!

Pokemon: I choose you! *Warning this may contain spoilers!*
I have finally watched Pokemon: I choose you! (the Movie) and got to say, that movie was EPIC! <3
To be honest, before I watched the Movie, I really didn’t understand what the movie was going to be about? I mean, haven’t we already have a story of how Ash started his journey 20 years ago? But this movie have so many surprises, and they aren’t bad. For one, I’m glad they rectified the part how Charmander, after evolving, obeyed Ash and still carried that same personality when he was a Charmander i.e. loyal and loving towards Ash, because I have to be honest, I didn’t like how Charmander, after evolving in the original anime disobeyed Ash like that because that really did scarred me in a subconscious level >.< Like, every time his Pokemon evolved, I always worried that they will become like that, but I guess Charmander was a “special” case from the original writers... (One I didn’t appreciate though). I don’t like it when Pokemon disobey Ash, so how the Movie changed that, and have Charmeleon still obey Ash, I LOVE it!! <3 And as a bonus, we have Charmander running towards Ash after his victory against Jigglypuff, being so happy with the win:
And then, it evolves into Charmeleon! And just look at that smile(and happiness)! <3
And not just that, but we even get a hug between him and Ash! <3

Thanks, directors, writers to this Movie! Because you not only brought back the art-style I LOVE so much, but you also rectify something I didn’t like in the original story when Charmander evolved. Now I can finally say I like Ash’s Charmeleon XD
Aside from this part, I was actually surprised that Ash (in Kanto) gets to meet so many other region Pokemon, like Sinnoh, and Alola, I mean, Incineroar, Lycanroc in Kanto?! A Piplup, and Entei too?! Seriously?! But I guess this is where the surprises is because I wasn’t expecting that! <3
In this Movie, I have to say that I actually love this other trainer i.e. Sorrel (which I believe his Japanese name is Souji, though I watched the movie in English XD), because I love trainers that are serious, and despite his age, he’s actually pretty mature and dependable <3 I love how he actually have Lucario as his partner, because Lucario is actually among my favourite Pokemon! <3 And when Lucario appeared with Sorrel to battled against the Legendary ‘Entei’,
Even though it lost, but I still did fangirl when he used Aura Sphere! <3 That’s one of my favourite attacks (along with Bone Rush) coming from Lucario! <3 <3
And the part when Ash “died”, that whole scene was very emotional, I mean, I knew Ash won’t die, cuz he’s the main protagonist :P He can’t even grow old, so how can he die?! But I still did cry on my end in that scene, the whole part was an emotional moment, where Ash wanted to protect Pikachu:
Which he’ll use his body to block the incoming Pokemon’s attack to protect his Pikachu:
And how they were trying to reach each other:
Ash even asked Pikachu to get inside his Poke-ball so he can stay protected that way, even though, he understands clear well, Pikachu hates being inside his Pokeball, he still asked Pikachu to, because this is the only way he can stay protected:
I mean, Ash is, human afterall, there’s really so much attack he can take as a human before he “dies”, and him against all those Pokemon’s too:
Ash is so courageous and brave, and will risked his safety to save a Pokemon’s life, I mean, this isn’t the first time he did it, this type of behavior is what made me fell in love with his character. He’s selfless and cares for all Pokemon, and if a Pokemon needs saving, he would put in 100% of his heart in doing so, so ofcourse when it comes to his best buddy, Pikachu, this comes naturally for him. But Pikachu refuses to go inside his Pokeball no matter what, he even attempted to jump in to protect Ash against all those incoming attacks:
But ofcourse, Ash notices this, so
he grabbed onto Pikachu and shield the attack for Pikachu once again, and this attack, finally did it for him :(
Even when Ash asked Pikachu again why he doesn’t get inside his Pokeball, and Pikachu actually told him the reason, I was actually absorbed in this scene so much to actually laughed at the fact that Pikachu actually spoke ‘human language’ i.e. “It’s because.... I always wanted to be with you”, I decipher that Pikachu meant what he said, he didn’t just want to be in his Pokeball to be with Ash, he wanted to be physically, side by side with Ash without any object(Pokeball), no matter how dangerous the situation is, he wanted to always be with him, and I find that so sweet because it truly shows the the strong bond between Ash and Pikachu <3 I mean, in the original anime, you see the bond between them grow throughout the journey they’ve been on, but in this movie, you get that strong bond in that movie length! <3
But Ash still did it, in his last attempt to protect Pikachu, he sends him back into his Pokeball just in time so he won’t get caught in this attack.
And when Pikachu came back out of his Pokeball, he realized Ash was fading away, omg, the feels man!! T_T He no longer can hold onto Pikachu or the Pokeball T.T
I was seriously teary in this scene when Pikachu attempts to put the hat back on Ash’s head, but it didn’t work, because he’s fading/faded away :(
Pikachu didn’t want to accept the fact that Ash is gone forever, and his strong electrifying attack represents how much Agony/sorrow Pikachu feels at that moment (because Ash is gone)
He even holds onto Ash’s hat because that is something Ash left behind for him, something that still have Ash scent with Pikachu,
It was even enough to wipe away the darkness and the other Pokemon’s control, returning them back to normal where the darkness has lifted.
But Poor Pikachu :(
I can say that this scene can be compared to the Mewtwo First Movie, when Ash was turned into a rock, and in Lucario & the Mystery of Mew, when Ash was gone, and Pikachu was crying, it’s a very emotional and powerful scene to show how much Ash means to Pikachu and I LOVE this! because I love seeing the strong bond between Ash and his Pokemon <3 <3
Well, I’m not going to go into any detail anymore, we all know Ash isn’t going to die, and he have returned by the Movie’s ending, but seriously, before watching the movie, I was like “What the heck?” at the part when Pikachu talked (lol), but when I watched the movie, and being so indulged in the Movie, I didn’t feel it was weird for that scene because it explains how Pikachu feels and why he doesn’t want to be inside his Pokeball is because he always wants to stay by Ash side, to be with him, and most of all to be able to see him. I can read subtle moments on my end, so whether Pikachu talked or not, it doesn’t matter, but honestly, I don’t mind that he did because I appreciate the unsubtle scene when he did because it was direct and left no doubt how Pikachu feels in that scene <3
But because I love Ash & Pikachu so much, I couldn’t end my post with a sad note, so I’ll end it when Ash returns to Pikachu, I mean, just look at them:

There aren’t any negatives for me in this movie, but if I have to say if there’s something I don’t like, that would be Cross, Charmander’s original trainer that left it there in the rain like that! I mean, I never liked Damian (I believe that was his name in the original anime), but Cross, just ANNOYS me even more because of his arrogance! I got to say, he’s a little similar to Paul with his training method, and how he seeks the strong Pokemon.... And Charmander there, being similar to Chimchar? Wow! But at least Paul never do anything so stupid and selfish on his end like Cross did by taking Ash’s Rainbow Wing like that, because while I know this just adds more drama to the story, but I didn’t like Cross on my end... He did redeem himself in the end, but as far as my feelings for him goes, it’s neutral...
But that’s the end of my review to this movie. I definitely will watch this Movie again on my end! <3 Definitely a fun Movie to watch! <3 And I find it shows a contrast because in Pokemon 2000, Ash is the chosen one, but in this Movie, where he meets Ho Oh, he’s the Rainbow Hero lol. Nice!

New Years (part one)
(Takes place in the Neo World Program which is literally my only excuse for Nanami being alive)
Nanami, Koizumi, and Sonia held a party that doubles as a birthday party for Hinata and a New Years Eve party. It took a few days to fully decorate the whole island but everyone managed through teamwork. Mioda, Saionji, and Koizumi made the decorations. Hanamura made the food and Owari taste tested with Nidai supervising. Twogami and Sonia went around the island to see if everyone was on task. Nanami went wherever help was needed. Kuzuryu, Pekoyama, and Tanaka were putting up the decorations. Tsumiki was on standby, alert at all times if anyone got hurt. It was also for her safety as she tended to trip on air everything. That leaves you, Komaeda, Hinata, and Souda cleaning.
Komaeda couldn’t stop rambling about how hopeful and exciting this party will be. The celebration of a classmate’s birthday and an eventful time of year, what wasn’t hopeful about that?! He kept getting distracted by his thoughts and Souda eagerly brought him back by hitting him with his broom. Once he hit Komaeda too hard and he fell to the ground. You and Hinata decided it was time for Souda to switch jobs with someone. Nanami literally rushed to full in Souda’s place.
You helped Komaeda up and kissed on his bruise and he looks away in embarrassment.
“(l/n)-kun/san, you don’t need to waste your valuable time on trash like me.” He says, avoiding your gaze.
You offered your hand to him. “As someone who cares about the environment, I’m obligated to pick you up. How does 11 sound?” He blushes darkly.
Nanami smiles in amusement as Hinata whistles. Komaeda hesitantly took your hand, feeling guilty he’s defiling you. He quickly let’s go when he was standing once more. He didn’t want to give the impression you and him were dating to Hinata and Nanami. That wouldn’t do; trash like him dating a super high school level? It sounds absurd. You’d probably be grossed out if you two were dating.
Komaeda was snapped out of his thoughts by you handing him his broom. He smiled and thanked you.
You guys finished earlier than expected and had the rest of the day to your guys’ self. Everyone went their separate ways until the party started, which would begin at 3 pm. It was currently 1 pm so two more hours left.
You wandered around the first island, wondering what to do with your freetime. You spotted Komaeda and waved at him. He looks at you bewildered and turns around so he doesn’t have to see you. You felt hurt but brushed it off as nothing personal. He was probably busy or wanted some alone time.
You spent half of your free time bonding with Nanami. You two were on the fourth island trying some of the carnival games and talking about the party.
You two were currently at a balloon dart game where an Usami served as the carny. She encouraged both of you to try your best and explained you still get a prize even if you missed. Feeling motivated, you and Nanami both threw darts to the best of your guys’ ability. You mostly missed as the gamer rarely did. She mostly traded most of her prizes so she didn’t get little ones and she didn’t have to carry a lot. She had a large Squirtle plushie, a medium sized Pikachu, a small Slyveon, a small eevee, a medium sized Totoro, a drifblim, and a penguin plushie that looked salty.
You looked at the salty penguin and smiled at Nanami. “I think Hinata-kun would love that one.” You point at it, laughing slightly. It took her a few seconds to connect why you were laughing. She bursted out laughing too, laughing so hard she was crying a bit.
She calms down a bit to answer. “Yeah, I think so too.” She says, looking at it fondly.
“It’s fair, a salty penguin for a salty boy.” Nanami laughs a bit.
You looked down at your own prizes: a medium sized Kirby, a small Piplup, and a Cosmog. You still have no idea what to give Hinata for his birthday. He is the best gift giver you have ever met, you want to get him something he’ll love. You glanced at Nanami who was talking to Usami and got a silly idea. You could put a bow on Nanami and push her towards Nanami. You quietly laughed and that got Nanami’s attention.
“Ready to go (l/n)-san/kun?” She asks. You nodded, hugging your prizes to your chest.
“Nanami-san, have you gotten Hinata-kun a gift yet?” You ask. She nods and points at the penguin which makes you laugh.
“And you?”
“You.”
“I don’t get it.” Nanami says, glancing towards you puzzled.
“You: your my present for Hinata-kun. I could even put a bow on top of you and everything.” Nanami smiles at your idea and nods.
“I approve.”
You deadpanned. “I wasn’t serious.”
She pouted. “Can we do that, please?”
Well the idea sounded fun… Why the heck not? You gave in and agreed. She cheers.
“Give me the word and I’ll get in place.” Nanami explains.
“I’ll distract Hinata and say…hmmm. What’s a good code word?”
“Salt.” Nanami says immediately making you smile.
“Salt it is.”
You two arrived at the cottages and you two went your separate ways. You checked the clock in your cottage and saw you had an hour left until three pm. You decided to spend this time getting ready.
You had fifteen minutes from three pm when you finished. Most of the time was spent on you being fickle about what to wear. You decided to get to the hotel area of the first island, the place where the party would primarily take place. You had a present for someone and a bow for Nanami for your guy’s plan. The whole island was susceptible for the party, mostly everyone was going to gather here at midnight though. You were the only one there, being earlier than even Sonia. She arrived two minutes later because of the thirteen minute early rule in her country.
She tilts her head, noticing the box in your hand. You weren’t trying to hide it. It was only meant to be hidden from him. The person who the gift is intended for.
“Who’s that for?” She asks you, before her eyes widened in realization. Her eyes sparkled with happiness.
“That’s so sweet of you (l/n)-san to give Hinata-san a present.” You sweatdropped.
“It’s for Komaeda-kun.” You corrected her. She smiles at you brightly.
“Even sweeter!” She swoons.
She then tilts her head in confusion. “Is it tradition to give your lover a present on New Year’s Eve?”
You blushed. “Komaeda-kun and I aren’t dating, we’re just friends.” You say sheepishly. She eyes you and nodded, understanding. She gives you a thumbs up.
“I hope things go according to your plan. Good luck and happy new year’s (l/n)-san.” She smiles at you before Souda pulled her away.
Half of the people were here and you don’t see the person you wanted to see the most. Where is he? He shouldn’t be hard to spot because of how tall he is and how messy his hair is. He’s guaranteed to come to the party, but where was he?
You left the hotel area and went to the cottages. You knocked on Komaeda’s cottage door but he didn’t answer, meaning he was out already. You searched the entirety of the first island and went to the second one to search. You repeated this process with the third and fourth. You found Komaeda in the warehouse making you frown.
You reached for his hand with your free one and he jumps, startled from the sudden physical contact. He smiles at you gently, noticing it was you. His eyes softened and dilated as they looked at you. He had a light blush on his cheeks now.
“(l/n)-kun/san, what brings you all the way over here? You should be with the other super high school levels celebrating and having fun.”
You frowned at him. “Same goes for you.”
He chuckles. “Trash like me doesn’t deserve to be in the presence of various super high school levels.”
“It’s best if I stay here.” He continues.
“I’m not bothering anyone and no one’s getting hurt because of me. It’s a win-win right?” He laughs.
You tugged his hand and pulled him closer to you. “What if I said I want you there with everyone else?”
“I’d decline. No one wants me there at the party.” He says smiling.
“I want you there.” You refuted softly. His cheeks reddened, prominent due to his naturally sickly pale skin.
“…” He looks at you silently, trying to find a reason why you’d want him around. Why you would touch him willingly. Why you would talk to him. Why?
“…Why?” He asked, softly and confused. Komaeda looks down to meet your gaze. He was confused as to why you would want to be with him. He’s garbage compared to everyone else. Another super high school level would be worthy of your presence. Anyone but him. He’s not worthy.
You merely smiled at him and squeezed his hand reassuringly. “I like you…” He blushed darkly and he drowned out the words the came out of your mouth afterwards. He couldn’t have predicted this at all… You… Have feelings for trash like him?! He’s not ready for this! What should he say?! He doesn’t want to reject you and he clearly likes you too make you despair. But on the other hand–
“Are you okay?” You asked as he went completely silent. His face was flushed and conflicted. You let go off his hand and waved your free one infront of his face, effectively snapping him back to reality.
He opened his mouth to say something but you continued to speak. “As I was saying, I like you as a classmate.” You smiled at him making him disappointed.
Ah, of course. You would never like trash like him. He was relieved but hurt. His New Year’s resolution last year was to make a friend and this year it was to find a lover. He thought he’d did it before the year started but unluckily it didn’t work out for him.
No need to dwell on the past. He can’t wait to experience the good luck that will come afterwards!
You took his hand again as you finished whatever you were saying. He feels guilty he hasn’t been listening to you speak. Even more bad luck… He likes listening to your voice. He’s still ecstatic though; the speculation of his next stroke of luck is exhilarating!
“Do you want to take a stroll with me around the island?” You ask him, curious to hear his response.
“Why would you spend time with scum like me?” He asks, frowning at you.
“You’re not scum.” You scolded him, hitting him lightly on his head. It was more of a gentle pat on his head in his opinion but he’s still happy you touched him.
He sighs and nodded, very hesitant but who was he to refuse a super high school level? He has no right to.
The sun’s down already when you two left the warehouse. The sun was already setting when you entered the warehouse but you were still surprise by the amount of time that passed. You forgot how fast time flew when you searched the islands for him.
The moonlight shone down upon you two; illuminating you two as if it were a spotlight. The moonlight reflected of his pale skin making Komaeda appear as if he was glowing. It made him look more angelic than usual…
“I wasn’t joking.” You say out of the blue, swinging your guy’s hands back and forth.
He looks at you, confused; wondering what you could possibly mean.
“I said I was going to pick you up at 11.” He nodded, remembering earlier. He nervously laughs.
“It’s around seven now, five hours left to go.” You note, checking your e-handbook.
Oh! You nearly forgot the present in your hand. Now seems like a good time to give it to Komaeda.
“Hey Komaeda-kun?” He hums in response.
“Can you close your eyes for a minute?” He looks at you confused before complying and smiling.
“I trust you (l/n)-san/kun. Though I’m curious what you’re going to do.” He voices his thoughts out for once.
“Hold your hands out.” You instructed him softly. He mimicks your instructions and you placed the box in his hand.
“You can open your eyes now.” You told him, smiling gently at him. He looks at the box surprised. Heat rushes to his cheeks as he looks at you shocked.
A super high school level– no, someone, got him a gift?! This is the first time this happened! How is he supposed to react?!
“Thank you.” He breathes out, finally deciding to say some words of gratitude.
You laugh a bit. “Open the box first, Komaeda-kun.”
He blushes darkly. “Oh right.” He opens the box to see a cloudy-like pokemon; Cottonee. It took him less than a second to figure out why you gave this to him. He looks at you in amusement.
“Is it because I have cloudy hair?” He asks, smiling. You nodded, smiling back at him brightly. He seems to like your present, judging by how happy he looks.
“A Trubbish would’ve been better. Since, you know, I’m lowly tra–” You put a hand over his mouth, muffling the last bit of that word.
You gave him a look and he just gives you a closed eyed smile. “Thank you again, (l/n)-kun/san. I feel embarrassed though. I didn’t get you anything.” He say, crossing his arms and frowning.
“It’s okay. You being here and being happy is more than enough.” You smile at him.
“But I want to make it up to–” He cuts himself off. Komaeda got an idea on how to repay you but he has to wait until twelve am exactly to do it. It’ll be worth the wait though~
Komaeda shyly reached for your hand and you let him take it, both of you blushing at the sight of your entwined fingers. You guys kept walking around the island, talking or playing random games with each other.
Currently he was singing to you some songs he came up at the top of his head a few moments ago. He sang two: zettai kibou birthday (absolute hope birthday) and zanka. You love his voice and were shocked to hear him sing. He was embarrassed you complimented on that. He denied your compliments though. He was dead set on believing he was pathetic scum with a nuisance of a voice.
It was nine pm now, three hours left until he can repay you. He would’ve done it earlier if it wasn’t today being the day it is. He walked you to the first island and pushed you towards everyone else, saying he has some business to talk care of. The truth is he feels you should get a break from him since he has been wasting your time for… How long has it been? Three hours? That sounds about right.
He fully intends to repay you, just know he’s going to feel guilty for doing it. You hung around the birthday boy and his girlfriend, Nanami.
He showed you the penguin Nanami gave you and asked you if he was salty. You nodded and he gives you a ‘really’ look. You stayed with him as he asked every attendant if he was salty. Everyone unanimously said yes which makes him go sulk in his emo corner, being an edgelord more than usual. Nanami and you talked to the salty birthday boy until it was eleven pm.
You and Nanami already gave him your guy’s presents. You just did the bit where you gave Nanami as a present.
“Hinata-kun, I think your going to love my present.” You said, putting an emphasis on “love”. Nanami blushes and he looks at you confused.
“What did you get me?” He asks, slightly worried.
You gently pushed Nanami forwards who was currently wearing a bow on top of her head and Hinata turned red. You used this as a distraction to slip away to find Komaeda.
You found him sitting on a bench at Jabberwock Park. You silently sat next to him and his eyes lit up at your presence. He gives you a small smile.
“I didn’t think you’d come back.” He admits, voicing out his worry. He was scared. He was scared that you were going to forget about him. He’s relieved to see you remembered him though. That must be his stroke of good luck. He stiffens, remembering bad luck will follow. He’s worried something’s going to happen to you.
“I’d never forget about you.” You reassured, your words making his eyes dilate even more. He heard just what he needed. It made him happy to hear you say that.
Fifteen minutes passed. Fourty-five more to go. You two talked about previous new years. Your experiences with them, if they were good or terrible. Your past resolutions your current resolutions, etc.
“What’s your resolution this year, Komaeda-kun?” You look at him curiously.
