I dunno if this is a hot take, but Adam really isn't that bad in comparison to the rest of the characters, don't get me wrong, he's a horrible person, but let's take a look at what he does and compare it with the rest of the characters.

He's an asshole, Husk can be a pretty big asshole too? Like he just revealed the information of people who vented to him while they were drunk and vulnerable. And Angel Dust is a pretty big asshole too, I mean they spent the first 4 episodes sexually harassing Husk, then acting like he was in the wrong when he finally fought back when he had every right to.

He kills demons, Angel did that exact same thing, dude literally did mass murder in the pilot, and Alastor is also a pretty sadistic murderer. And Vaggie killed multiple demons when she was an exterminator, and none of them show any guilt! (Besides maybe Vaggie, but I don't really remember)

• Smiling when you’re enthused about something isn’t enough, you clap or take his hands and jump around with him. Sometimes he can’t help himself, scooping you up and taking you for a flight to share in your infectious joy

• When you don’t appreciate something he says but he’s so worked up he doesn’t notice your gestures to stop, you flick his hat. The first time you did it, he reeled. It’s an effective method

• If that doesn’t work, you ground him by holding his shoulders. Looking into your eyes tells him all he needs to know

• “Are you reading my mind right now?”

You shoot him a playful glare

• Thanks to you, Lucifer’s become fluent in body language. This helps immensely when you don’t have energy to communicate in your regular ways

• Physical touch can be a challenge when the King of Hell is as sensitive as he is. He appreciates when you tap the back his hand before taking it as you please

• Has paper or something to write with in every room on the off chance you misplaced your phone. He keeps a pen of your favorite color in his coat pocket

• On that note, Luci keeps everything you write on. It’s a bit ridiculous, there’s a file cabinet dedicated to past, present and future notes you write (even if they’re not for him)

• During Charlie’s karaoke night, Lucifer is your biggest fan! He’s cheering like you’re putting on the show of your life as you mouth the words to your favorite song
