Postgame!Astarion who outright tosses out all the letters from across Faerun requesting the great hero of Baldur’s Gate for their own problems. Any letters addressed with anything other than your name is immediately chucked into a trash bin sitting idly by the front door just for that purpose. You’ve given up on telling him it’s okay—that you're alright with helping out once in a while. But he’s adamant, fussing as he refuses to allow you to drag yourself back into another insufferably long adventure when you deserve to rest. He drags you away from the bin back to your shared bed that he finds awfully comfortable.

Postgame!Astarion who takes up a lot of hobbies with his newfound freedom from his master—some of which escalate into full blown businesses. His hobby of perfuming, for one, alongside his skills in sewing. He only makes things for you in the beginning, but when other ladies begin to take notice of your alluring scent and beautiful garments of clothing, they rush to ask you of its source. But since he can't stand out in broad daylight, you take down note of everyone’s measurements and act as the middle man. He never actually meets his customers, but he likes to give each of them personalities in his head based on what they want. They're scary accurate.

Postgame!Astarion who still sleeps with his dagger close by. He doesn't need it to be under his pillow as it used to be, but he keeps it in the drawer beside his bed. He knows he has no use for it anymore, but knowing he has some form of defense lets him sleep a little lighter.

Postgame!Astarion who practically clings to you on mornings you have to leave for daylight, hoping you'll give up on whatever plans you had and just come back to bed. You do listen more often than you'd like to admit. But on days when you manage to pry him off your waist, he's extremely dramatic about it. When you return home, he has a frown on his face, arms crossed and perched on the couch like a mother waiting for her teenage daughter to return from a late night party. He huffs for a couple minutes as you change into something more comfortable. But when you kiss his forehead, asking if he wants to go out on a walk, he’s all grins and smugness again.

Postgame!Astarion who never falls asleep before you, opting to watch your breathing instead since it's not like he needs to sleep anyway. He confirms you're here. He confirms you're real. He confirms he’s not dreaming, and that he won't snap awake in a few moments to the cell in Cazador’s palace.

Postgame!Astarion who adopts/cares for the cat you bring home one day. He says he hates the damn thing, but you can tell they're the closest of friends just a few months in. He makes his newfound friend a fresh wardrobe to match his own. When you question him about it, he gets flustered and scoffs, spitting out nothing but hatred for the cat but having them sit on his lap.

Postgame!Astarion who worries. He worries that you'll be taken away from him. He worries his past will come bite him in the ass and take the payment for his crimes in the form of his very lover. He knows you'll die, while he continues to traverse the realms as a faceless entity. But he doesn't even want to think about that right now. He's more concerned you won't have as much time as possible at his side. When will you leave? When will you tire of him? When will the universe decide he no longer deserves you—or maybe he never deserved you in the first place. Does it even matter? Maybe—maybe this was all just temporary, and—

He feels you tuck your head into the crook of his neck. And here, he decides he doesn't want to spend the time he does have with you worrying over something that hasn't happened. That's a bridge to be crossed some other time. And by then, he's sure he’ll do anything to keep what remains of the sun in his life.

Everyone hates the Ventrue calling them boring and insufferable with their grindset-mindset and while most of it is true, if you dig into the clan's culture there isn't much that makes them worse than other clans really, there's a lot of endearing qualities that also explain why are they stupid like this. So here's some of my favorite facts and bits of the in clan lore (some of these traditions are applicable for cammies or for those in the clan-clan, done with the Agoge etc; an anarch ventrue obv doesn't have to follow no rule).

Blood preference is made up. It's in their head. There were incidents of a ventrue changing their preference, takes a huge effort but nothing says you can’t. Many ancient ones perished because there's no more Yugoslavian blood or whatever and they couldn't get used to any other. The biggest problem of the Clan of Kings is that they all think they all have an imaginary lactose intolerance they absolutely will die for.

Unlike other clans who let their progeny run around doing fuck all you are responsible for your childe. Providing for them first time, teaching them to hunt, all that regardless if they want to go through the Agoge or join the clan. As a capital V Ventrue you have to respect their choice. Being a deadbeat sire is generally frowned upon.

Actually, everyone in the clan feels entitled to your childe. Any clan member has the right to show up on your doorstep whenever because they thought of something profound to say to the fledgling or give you an advice on how to mentor them. Turning them away is impolite. Absolutely insufferable.

When in a serious trouble you can always ask a fellow clans-mate for help and even if they hate your ass they have to help and do a good job at that lest they want to lose some dignitas. You are expected to return the favor obviously.

Deathnights! 🥳🎉🎉. The thought that any kindred care for birthdays (or deathnights, the time you were embraced) is already silly but the fact that it's ventrues who care about this so much is especially funny. Yeah you sire sucks, but she invited Paris Hilton and got you a new car for your sweet 160. If it's an elder's deathnight you can even rizz them and it's all in good fun!

The general opinion that your local venture is an e*lon m*usk type o guy and not a gas station manager doesn't help. In the digital era even the most powerful ventrue have to influence from the shadows which is quite a hit on their ego. Others settle for less.

They are the smallest clan. The key to survival is resilience and mutual support. Trust no one, not even the other ventrue but you know they've got your back because you've got theirs. Fucked up, however "familial" bonds like sire-childe and such are much valued.

Wholesome-ish, ventrue cliques. Many looove chess and have chess clubs. Both as a hobby and often preferring to solve personal disputes over a game. Then, Philosophes and Diplomats. The first one is just a bunch of an armchair philosophers. The other can be considered as "progressive" and want to build bridges with other clans and think the Camarilla needs to be more cooperative and inviting. The elders often snark at the "friendly ventrues" but at the end of the night it is the Diplomats they send out to represent the clan and do the talking and make peace with others. There's also a club for neonates just to bitch about their hard unlife without the restrictions of the etiquette. Btw look up the Olympian clique on your own lmao, I'm not even delving into that.

And to be fair, there's so much etiquette. You're being told what to wear, what to gift, how to act.

don't argue with those younger than you, embarrassing them in the act. Don't argue with elders because it's disrespectful. Don't argue with your peers because arguing is stupid. If someone really pissed you off please submit a request to your closest ventrue primogen and wait 15-20 business nights to be informed if you have a go at killing their ass. This is not a joke. Always show up as a united front at all times.

Be respectful and treat other clans as you would have wanted to be treated. Even if they are ugly, annoying, or unhinged. At the end of the night the inquisition will come for all of us.

The Agoge sucks. Everyone hates it. It fucks you up but complaining is for pussies so drink some cocained up blood or get a therapist like everybody else. Suck it up.

Crying in the boardroom is not allowed. No public display of emotions or feelings is allowed. The purpose of it is to minimize the amount of conflict between each other and other clans but it's the next best thing to Lasombra's catholic guilt in terms of repressing yourself.

Older ones have a hard time keeping up with technology, the concept of email is on par with other paranormal forces. The Board risks their unlives traveling to an in-person meeting to resolve something that could have been a 10 minute conference call. If you are a neonate who knows what a DVR is you've got quite some power.

GREGORY HOUSE

He’s the medical malpractice doctor from the medical malpractice show. Man has never had a healthy relationship in his life and isn’t about to start now and by god he will break any law. Loyal but super weird about it, and makes everyone around him worse but also more interesting. He’s insufferable and I love him.

The show is regularly called the medical malpractice show. Everything he does is either questionable, illegal, dangerous, or all of the above. He’s said countless racist/sexist/homophobic things at any given opportunity, even to his friends. He has exactly one friend who is a thrice-divorced loser oncologist who only really stays with House because he's afraid of who would get hurt if he didn't. House will do anything to solve a puzzle or — God forbid — prove a point. He regularly puts people in danger to prove points of figure things out. His only morally redeeming quality is that he’s turned this obsession onto medical cases, and so usually the patients live. The show acknowledges multiple times that the only reason anyone tolerates his constant abuse is that he's a good doctor.

IANTHE TRIDENTARIUS

Her number one hobby is ruining every person's that she knows life. Her second hobby is being soooo slutty about it despite looking like a literal wet rat. Her third hobby is having an extremely unhealthy relationship with her twin. Her other hobbies include cannibalism, wearing a maid outfit, being extremely convinced she is the main character, the badboy sexy love interest and the villain. 'Why', you may ask. Well, the answer is, for shits and giggles #justgirlythings i, aswell as literally everybody else in the fandom have gone through the pipeline from hating her to desperately wanting to fuck her. expect for i still fucking hope she dies and doesn't come back for good. (that would literally solve all of everybody's problems) as god intended (EXPECT FOR. one of her hobbies literally is gaslighting god) She is fucking horrible i will love her until i die and even after that

The moment she learns she has to kill someone to become a Lyctor (aka a more special necromancer), she doesn't hesitate to kill and cannibalize the guy who has been her cavalier since childhood… cavalier who she also totally bullied as kids, she was allowed to choose one guest for her and her twin sister's birthday party each year, and she would always pick whoever she thought her cavalier didn't want to see there! While other characters are shown to regret the process of becoming a Lyctor (which involves someone close to them dying)/were forced into it because of circumstances, Ianthe has absolutely no regrets, she believes she did what she had to do

The author once said of Ianthe: "I don't think she's been nice to anyone, if she has I'll go back and change it." She killed and ate the soul of someone she has known all her life so that she could become a necromantic saint and tormented him plenty before that. General negging, ganging up against him, always inviting people he didn't like to their birthday parties. She doesn't regret killing him. I think she is repulsed by the idea that his digested soul is affecting hers. She helped her crush lobotomise herself so she would be in Ianthe's debt, and later lied and said she didn't see the corpse of a woman her crush killed under her bed (why did she do that? I do not know). She has a bone arm because her original arm was cut off, she hated the replacement so her crush cut THAT off and grew her a new one out of just bones. She had it gilded and only after that did she decide to help her crush deal with the person who had been repeatedly trying to kill her. She wants so badly to be the main character but people keep interrupting her villain monologues.

Actually there is a very good reason why Gilgamesh hates Shirou. And it’s not a “I’m an arrogant bastard. I don’t need a reason to hate this boy trying to claw his way to my level.”

In Fate/Extra CCC, we get to have Gilgamesh as our servant. He’s exactly the nightmare you imagine him to be. He makes fun of you for being poor. He genuinely starts to cry when he sees the state of the player character’s (named Hakuno) wallet. He will follow your commands, but if you screw up in commanding him, he will make sure you know it. He’s the highest maintenance bitch to exist. Entertain him Hakuno. Go on. Struggle. Fight for your right to live. He’ll kill you if you mess up. He’ll strip down naked to prove a point.

Yet despite Hakuno objectively being more useless than Shirou, being an AI who only just gained personhood, who was supposed to be deleted and die… Gilgamesh’s sacrifices 90% of his treasury to save them! He gives up 90% of all of humanity’s treasures!! For an AI who can only do a handful of spells granted by a mystic code!!! Who’s just figuring out this who personhood thing!!! Even Shirou at the start of his series could do more than this computer program.

Fate/Extra CCC gives us this important insight to Gilgamesh. He values people who are true to themselves. No matter how weak or useless, he adores seeing a genuine person, who does not hide who they are.

Tokiomi bent over backwards to please Gilgamesh in a way he thought that Gilgamesh would want, to be the person he thought Gilgamesh would like, even if it was not who Tokiomi truly was. So of course Gilgamesh was insufferable. He hates being bossed around and you SHOULD be respectful to him. But Tokiomi dealt with a bored Gilgamesh who sought his entertainment elsewhere, because he knew that Tokiomi wasn’t being genuine. Kotomine, on the other hand, just needed a gentle push to finally embrace who he truly was, and Gilgamesh was amused watching Kotomine. But even then, he never truly held Gilgamesh’s favor. Because Kotomine couldn’t grow. Gilgamesh sacrifices nothing of value for Kotomine.

Kotomine never got to learn about Gilgamesh’s Thrilling Splash Time, the all-weather indoor water park he had once planned out. It’s Hakuno! He whines that he wants to swim, and they suggest the school pool, and Gilgamesh is mildly offended at the suggestion, calling it a ‘seedy water tank’. And then proceeds to spend an unspecified, but not a short time, explaining just how amazing his Thrilling Splash Time is.

So how does this tie into Shirou? Well, it’s simple. Gilgamesh says as much. Shirou is a Faker. He based his entire identity around fulfilling his dead adoptive father’s dream. To be a Hero of Justice. He’s snarky and rude in his mind, but outwardly he’s that friendly classmate you have. Sure you’re not exactly best friends, but if you’re in a spot of trouble, he’s definitely someone who could help. He’s good at archery, but it’s not something he likes. People can argue that he doesn’t really have a hobby outside of cooking. Everything is about becoming a Hero of Justice.

But he does truly care about people! In the VN, he was ready to kill Shinji when he found out Shinji was the one putting all their classmates in danger by stealing their life force after all. But we’ve seen how he will put his borrowed dream over his relationships when it really matters.

Shirou’s projection ability also REALLY hammers this point down. He can copy any weapon he sees, with a few exceptions. He steals and borrows and uses them. And truthfully, he never gets permission. He never asks. He’s never asked. Just like with his dream, he takes those legendary weapons and makes them his own, though he was never asked to. He never asked for them.

Gilgamesh sees Shirou for what he is. He’s taken bits and pieces of others and stuffed it within himself with hardly an effort to make it his own. And to Gilgamesh, this it’s infuriating. He loves when humans are themselves and honest and to see this boy with a stolen dream wielding stolen legends, stolen pride (because keep in mind. A Noble Phantasm is a symbol of a hero’s pride), he cannot help but be infuriated. Who was this boy, this faker, who dares claim to be a Hero of Justice when it is not even his own dream?!

As the King of Heroes, the First Hero, he absolutely cannot let this stand! He, Gilgamesh, is allowed to use those symbols of pride as projectiles. He is the King of those owners of pride. It is within his rights. Yet.

He never truly uses another’s Noble Phantasm, does he? He doesn’t grasp their pride and use it as his own.

Shirou does.

matthew knows that. he knows it very well, and it's not because all of his friends say so, it's because of how unrealistically horrifying he is. he seems to just have this presence that bothers people, and matthew gets it, because he almost always shivers when he's around.

y/n doesn't care about anyone else, and he doesn't keep it a secret, either. he's self-absorbed, selfish, simply belittles people for fun. matthew wonders, how does someone find enjoyment in intimidating others?

matthew will never get it.

maybe that makes him stupid or something, but he doesn't care, there's nothing you could say to convince him that being unnecessarily cruel to people for fun is okay.

so why does he feel something unexplained towards said cruel boy?

matthew knows his self worth, he shouldn't be looking at someone like that with so much love, but y/n.. for some reason, draws him in, like a magnet, he simply can't look away.

he's not in love, he can't be, because why would a person like matthew love a person like y/n? he's a person who hurts other people for fun, what would matthew ever gain from loving a person like that?

that gets a chuckle out of y/n, but matthew can't stop staring at his eyes. his eyes, so dark, empty, but they were so beautiful, did the prettiest of things have to be so insufferable?

"maybe i should buy you an angel necklace, then we'd match".

he says those words in the fakest tone matthew can think of, and the smile of his face grows as he sees matthew's glare. he hates how pretty he is, he hates how his eyes look majestical. he hates that he would absolutely kiss him right now if he could.

"no thank you".

"you don't want to match? my feelings are hurt".

"i hope they stay hurt".

"how cruel of you seok matthew" ironic that he says that, he's probably the cruelest person that matthew has ever met.

matthew knows y/n doesn't care, but as he sees him smile, he feels his heart melt.

that compliment is genuine, which is a surprise for y/n. matthew shouldn't be staring at him with hearts in his eyes, but he is, he pretty much does it unconsciously, like he doesn't have any control over his body.

y/n hums as he puts the necklace around his neck, clicking his tongue as he does so. "told you, it'd look nice".

how did matthew get convinced into this? he remembers just cursing out y/n in his mind a day prior, why would he let him buy the necklace?

it feels as if he's in a state of trance, he can't stop staring, he hates that he can't stop staring. since when was y/n so mesmerizing? the y/n that he hates with a burning passion. why does he feel so in love? so appreciated? why does he embrace such a cruel person like this?

"i.." he begins, looking down at the angel necklace which had been put around his neck. "yeah, it's super pretty, where'd you get it?"

"that's a secret".

matthew hates everything about him. his stupid smile, his stupidly pretty eyes, his stupidly pretty voice, his stupidly pretty everything— he's so horrible, he's not who matthew should love. matthew should love someone better, someone empathetic, someone sweet, someone who isn't a complete devil.

matthew was an angel, someone who was the opposite of y/n. he was sweet, empathetic, and giving, he didn't only care about himself, his eyes shouldn't even be focused on y/n right now.

y/n is like the devil, someone who only cares for himself. he's selfish, lacks empathy, and sees himself as the most important out of everyone else.

so why is matthew so drawn to him?

"what is wrong with you?" he whispers. y/n isn't surprised, many people ask him that, but he's just having much more fun with the question being asked by matthew.

he seems a little obsessed.

"i have no idea what you mean".

"god! your so insufferable! your horrible, you don't care about anyone else, your so selfish, and you just— enjoy watching people suffer! you piss me off!"

y/n raises an eyebrow, unaffected. "if i piss you off so much, why do you like me?"

matthew wishes he had a good rebuttal for that phrase, but he doesn't, unfortunately. y/n just smiles in victory, crossing his arms and putting on his sweater.

"don't miss me too much sweetheart".

matthew frowns, looking down at the necklace gifted to him as he begins fiddling with it.

A very pink-focused forensic scientist who is very popular among the police station. When she is a child and as she grew into a young woman, she was obsessed with science. While her parents didn’t agree with her career (more information later), they tried to give her the best education to pursue her dreams.

“Why is Harvard is so insufferable? His loud voice! His stupid personality! Don’t tell him this, but he better choose a different forensics scientist or else!”

While she gets along with most of the team, he despises Harvard with a passion, due to his smug attitude and Harvard….. thinks she is just a cute scientist who might have a crush on him and very good at hiding it. On the other hand, she has a crush on Carl, due to his sweet personality and his sense of justice. Carl, when he discover this, tries to not rush it and worries that it isn’t the right time, but still tries to flirt with her.

Appearance: She is a young woman with a two ponytails that are medium length and are stuck together with a scrunchies. She has some hair clips on her to kept her bangs.

A weird mortician who the team mets throughout the game. He is a mortuarist who checks on the dead bodies. He is hated around the station due to his disturbing vibes and creepy appearance with only having one friend (Yale) but despite this he tries to be a nice person around with a very creepy hobby.

As a child and throughout adulthood, he has been through near death experiences, leaving him feeling isolated and making an outcast even with his family (but that’s for another day). As he grew up, he became obsessed with the cycle of life of death and studied death and how people died through ways. When he got into college, he went into forensics

“Everybody dies somebody, maybe even you, Marks. Whenever it is, we all have to be prepared because death always comes no matter what

He doesn’t join the team until much later in the game when the team are investigating the Clown and has him check out the bodies of the other victims which includes Harvard’s mom. When Harvard finds out about this and freaks out, he is able to calm him down and deduces that they are related. He then tells Harvard that whenever that goes down, he mustn’t kill the Clown or he’ll be kicked off his job.

Appearance: He is a scrawny and thin man who is quite tall, but not to pass as a giant. His hair is short black that looks like it has cut off recently and has blue eyes. He is always shown to wear a mask on his face, making people believed there was a horrific scar on his face. They’re…….. half-right with having a scar cover the left side of his face which he covers up with his mask and makeup.

Ultimate Move: Grim Checkup

George Cornwell

Age: 32

“With your brain and my knowledge, we are going to make a great team, I am sure of it!”

A criminologist who doesn’t work at the police station but runs into the gang many times throughout the story before getting wrapped up into the search for the Clown. He wants to talk to the Clown (not to a obsessive degree) and wants to understand why does he kill. He isn’t a part of the police but Granger and Maise let him in to talk to the team over the criminals they captured.

He is pretty wholesome and quite understanding to many people (sometimes criminals). When he discovers Harvard’s past after the game ends, he decides to take up the mantle of Harvard’s moral compass and gives him a therapist to help with hi: trauma. He shown to be protective to his loved ones, but not to point of overbearing.

“Hey, there’s been something in your chest for a little long time. You think that you keeping in it’s chest and refusing to let it out, but you’re wrong. If you don’t want to talk to me, that’s fine. But if you are not going talk about this to me and your team, you need to talk to somebody else.”

However his past is mysterious and he refuses to tell anyone not even his close friends about it. And it turns out he has a pretty good reason, but we’ll see later. He’ll explain it to Harvard near the end of the game

Age: 24

“There’s a line between the ideal detective and the insane detective, and Harvard Marks you have crossed the line to insanity.”

He is a high ranking serious officer who is a deep rivalry against Harvard. He isn’t well liked due to his serious attitude towards most of the staff but he isn’t outright hated due to his contempence in the field. He has a hidden side to him, caring for his family and friends off the job and taking them to nice places to relax and have fun.

His father was a officer who WAS excellence in his job and WAS actually chosen to be the police chief instead of Granger. But, notice the emphasis on WAS. A few years (possibly in Stanford high school days), he was found dead in a murder similar to the Clown style. While it is now unknown if the Clown or a copycat of the Clown and the killer was never found, it still effected him and made wanted to hunt down other serial killers like them and bring them to justice so nobody would have to suffer what him and family did.

So you think with their history, him and Harvard would at least connect or be friends? WRONG. While Stanford views Harvard with great potential as a detective, he despises him for his willingness to break the rules in missions and cases and his wild insanity. While Harvard would have chosen a different career if his mother hadn’t died (unless the game discredits this), Stanford has wanted to be to become a detective ever since he was a child. With Harvard, he only met with him at police college for the 2 years he was in along with Carl and Stanford was at his last 2 years. Harvard found him annoying due to his overshadowing anybody in their class and overly aggressive attitude towards. (Funny thing is that one of the reasons why Stanford hates Harvard.) So when they both of them (and Carl) end up stuck in the same police station in the same city, none of them are pleased.

Ranting ahead.

Sex Education S4 is pure shit, by the way. I’m so sad. It used to be one of my most fave shows but it became so… soulless and boring and cliche and performative. A massive cash-grab focusing too much on annoying, one dimensional characters (when will they give Cal a personality?). The portraits of people aren’t genuine anymore and instead have been replaced by “forced inclusion” - though I hate the term, as conservatives use it too broadly just to be homophobic.

I loved the “one case per episode” type of thing, and here it was completely left behind; the cases were either briefly shallowly explored (say, Viv’s abusive relationship), or with serious scenes shown as funny (the sex scene with Adam’s dad at the beginning of I-Don’t-Know-Which Episode was too… rapey? And we are supposed to just feel embarrassed for him or laugh it off).

Characterisation was more or less okay; I liked that they continued with Otis thing with sex, but there were some flaws too. For example, I don’t really think “Insufferable Feminist” Maeve would’ve continued pressuring Otis into sex once she realised something was wrong.

Side note: I’ve rooted for them since S1 E1, that ending, seriously? Ridiculous. I’m glad Maeve is pursuing her dreams etc, but the dualism of Dreams Vs Romance was already explored in S3, and, for the sake of having a cheesy happy ending like all people wanted, why not have him go to the USA too? His horrible dad could’ve tried to get him come with him for his whole book stuff, or as a fake apology. That would’ve been great for a scene where Otis’ MRA dad meets Riot Grrrl Maeve. It would’ve been funny. It could’ve given a message. And it would help characterisation of everyone involved. On top of that, it would be interesting to explore more Jean’s journey after being left, and definitely Otis’ abandonment issues. Could’ve also been cool to talk about mother’s rights and custody.

Joanna’s CSA trauma was thrown at you and never fully (guess the word!) explored either besides from implying hyper sexuality. I must admit I liked her, though. It was a nice addition - but too sudden. Seems like a desperate try at “Quick! How do we solve this plot hole!?”. Besides, the way they “well, that just happened” over Jean’s difficulty giving birth AND Joy’s dad identity??? Insane.

The whole subplot with Eric’s dreams were, at first, a shimmer of previous seasons’ whimsy, but then it became boring too. Eric’s character in general was done dirty this season, to be honest (he would not fucking wear that! Slay is dead). And his connection with religion has already been talked about till death. Please give my boy a hobby oh my God.

I missed the monster-fucker girl. She reminded me of one of my primary school friends.

Don’t even let me started on the new school thing itself. It was horrid. Like…. not even the clothes were safe from my hate.

Nevertheless there were some good scenes, like Maeve meeting Jean, or her and Otis’ first time. That was cute. The first episode was quite cool too. But all that felt somehow overshadowed by the stupid decisions - the episode about the Queer Party? That was pretty much ass. Not only performative, shallow, and with generic dialogue, but why was everyone making out all of a sudden? Romantic arcs and tension found dead. Now senseless fan service shipping only. Same goes for Aimee and Isaac, what the fuck was that, what happened to “straight men and straight women can be friends”? Too many useless romances for my taste. The pacing and editing were also disgusting in that episode.

Anyways, I was talking about the positive parts. There were a few more, but off the top of my head I liked when they protested for accessibility. I also liked when the teachers (I can’t remember their names! The english and music/biology couple) came back for Maeve’s mom’s funeral. That episode was nice, it felt accurate. I am glad Sean was back for that. Otis and Maeve dating was cute. It’s such a pity they were separated again. Also enjoyed that they talked about postpartum depression, even if a bit too in your face at times. Aimee and Adam were lovely as always. I liked how his dad is still working on himself. Ruby’s past and trauma was also a good subject. I love Ruby, even if Maeve is and will always be my girl. The thing with O was interesting! As well as the campaign. The humour was refreshing every now and then! I found it funny how Adam’s dad tried to bond with random stuff, and how, of all people, he thought he was gay for Clint Eastwood. And his gun. That chat, and how Adam’s mom later talks about “the girl with the long neck” were a nice detail.

So it really bothered me how this season definitely had a lot of potential that was wasted by such nonsensical decisions like all the ones I mentioned. Big glow down.

so we're talking, and we're going back and forth, and we knew it would be some kind of electronic something but that's as far as we got

so we talked some more and looked some shit up and I've yet to be able to find a good example of it but I'm sure there's some weirdo out there who makes this sort of music but we dubbed it Electric Klezmer and it is. my white whale of music rn

I never comment on blogs about other blogs and I’ve noticed something that has been annoying me. I get that we all have different opinions and that’s ok because that’s the real world. What I don’t get is some blogs making it their mission to go share screenshots to prove those blogs they claim to hate wrong. They lurk and then go on their own blogs to talk shit and act like they are the moral compass of the fandom because they say they accept the truth. Instead of going about their business they involve themselves and they end up looking like bullies. I would never know about anything some other blogs would say if it wasn’t for them.

The ones I noticed that just won’t do their own thing and often involve other blogs are Ginger and Capoteera or Capoterra however she spells it lol. Don’t remember her real name is it Megan but spells it differently? They only get engagement on attacking other blogs because let’s face it, no one seems to care about what else they have to say. Just seems like they need a hobby outside of Tumblr. The Megan blog always has what seems like these long dissertations acting like they know so much more because they believe it’s real but I’m like ok no need to go into that much detail cause you are trying too much. Those two really don’t have their own personalities and just go with whatever at that moment. They try to be funny and sarcastic but in reality, they aren’t and they are just bullies.

Sorry long rant but they have been insufferable lately lol. Like go outside and make some real life friends. No need to constantly be on here defending people you once said you didn’t care for but all of sudden they don’t do no wrong. And specifically Ginger, if she moved on from this fandom like she said she did, umm why the stalking of other blogs? Why make your profile picture of two people you said you don’t care about? Okay, I’m sorry but I wanna say this just to say it because if I don’t it’ll be on my mind all night. It’s more or less a question sorta rant so it won’t be anything too extreme like the others but yeah. My question is can we actually call Hades a morally grey character? Like in his case is that really what we should call him? Let me explain.

Basically I’ve been thinking about it a lot because me personally, I enjoy making morally grey characters. I have a whole set of characters who are neither good or bad people mostly because I feel like it’s more therapeutic for me. To be able to create characters going through similar experiences as I do/did while also having them show me the good and bad side of my personality makes me really reflect on myself and really show me how far I’ve come. I don’t know it’s kind of like an out of body experience for me, but moving away from that I came to this question because I wanted to give Hades the benefit of a doubt one day and say that maybe he’s just a morally grey character. But I really can’t see myself categorizing him as that because of his actions and overall personality and here’s why.

The whole point of morally grey characters for me is basically characters who have a balance, like that’s the whole point of morally grey characters. Characters who aren’t good or bad but rather neutral in a sense and honestly I don’t see that with Hades. He doesn’t do many good things for people unless they’re connected to Persephone in a way and naturally throws tantrums and other things. Listen I know the guy has trauma and shit so sometimes he has defense mechanisms and shit but I don’t like that that’s the excuse, let’s be fair y’all if anyone else acted like how Hades acts no one would be defending them. Exactly what happened with Zeus and them, they had their backstories showed and not many people excused them for their behavior so let’s stop doing that with Hades when he makes it his mission to make everyone’s day terrible.

But yeah, I don’t think he’s the worst person in the world or anything but he definitely isn’t the best in the slightest, all of the good he’s done for others has been the bare minimum and he has to be one of the most underdeveloped characters in the comic. I’m not saying that I hate the whole “I love my wife” energy or anything (in this case I do.. very much) because when done right I actually really enjoy it. For example I am a huge huge admirer of Morticia and Gomez’s relationship and I appreciate and love the appeal of Gomez’ devotion and genuine love for his wife, the difference between how Hades does it in comparison to how Gomez does is that his dialogue about his wife is so natural and genuine it’s like love and respect in its purest form, when he says he loves his wife you know it’s something true and it’s not something that’s not too extreme and not too lacking. It’s a balance and they don’t go overboard with either, I also love how even though his world revolves around Morticia he’s still his own person with hobbies and other interests including her, when you look into Gomez you don’t just see Morticia you see him as an individual. That’s what Hades’ character is missing, it gets old when every little thought is Persephone and every single thing he says is related to Persephone as well, it’s also sad that besides Persephone’s “love” there’s no real growth or anything there’s nothing there for Hades’ character except being Persephone’s other half.

That’s why their dynamic is just so insufferable, they need to overcompensate this idea that they’re in love so much but won’t really show us small little details and such. Take them on a date or something, make them have an actual connection that isn’t just staring at each other’s bodies more, there’s been times where they both had some special moments but they all get overshadowed by this lust for one another. Also unlike Gomez and Morticia none of their love is genuine or natural, it feels forced.. It doesn’t actually feel like Hades loves Persephone just because he believes he is, it feels more like he needs Persephone in his life to function. Like not as a partner but as a crutch, like if he doesn’t have her or talk about her he’ll crumble and fall apart. Which makes sense since like I said earlier his whole character surrounds itself around her and her only, but that’s not love and it’s not what it’s supposed to be about. Obsession does not equal love and if you need your lover that badly then you’re gonna need some time for yourself and by yourself to get down to the root of why you feel so dependent on your partner.

But anyways that’s the end of the rant, I saw the few explanations about the new episodes and I agree with everyone saying that Hades doesn’t see Persephone as capable because it’s true, she’s eaten the pomegranate and everything you’d think she’d have some sort of authority now but Hades doesn’t want her interacting with the kingdom unless it’s all peachy keen. Basically if the kingdom isn’t easy enough to run Hades will literally lie to Persephone and let her sit around and handle the important things. I find it really funny how we’re supposed to believe that they’re now progressing in their relationship when one of them doesn’t even trust the other with very big decisions that’ll effect them both. Like the old saying goes, “if there’s no trust there’s no relationship” and there’s no real foundation for those two just lust and compliments. But also I hate how Demeter got demonized for treating Persephone like a child but Hades does that every episode even treating her like that in the presence of her peers, like is that not embarrassing for her? Why is she okay with her literal partner not seeing her as an actual adult when it comes to doing adult things but she crosses the line when her mom does the same thing. That’s pretty inconsistent character writing there, and I just hope more people will hold Hades accountable I’m so tired of people blindly praising him for every little thing and insulting other characters for doing the same things. But anyways, just like I say every rant this was meaningless and should not be used as fact or fuel to berate and insult LO fans, that’s not what I made this page for it’s literally just so I can write down whatever I want so it should never be taken seriously, these are all my thoughts and opinions and if you agree or disagree is both fine with me.

sometimes I think to myself: "lmfao I have such a tiny audience!!" but not in a self-deprecating 'oh woe is me no one reads my stuff' way. more like a "hell yeah I can do and say whatever the fuck I want because no one is looking in this direction anyways" which is just.... so nice???? and not entirely true but true enough that twilight has been my most peaceful fandom experience in a long time (despite still being Hated by certain fandom niches lmfaoo 😘)

like I often forget that the twilight fic I write has the least amount of interaction overall in comparison to literally Every Other Fandom i've ever been in. which is SO funny. even my unfinished dbz fic from forever ago has more hits than most of my twilight fic combined (the curse of being a jalice girlie 💔) which is also lowkey nice as hell because I don't have bratty teenagers and weird middle aged men in my comments/reviews/ask box bitching that "SaSuke wOULD NEVER—" and I can live in relative peace now 😌

but then that post saying "post the difference in hits between your most and least viewed fics" gets put on my dash again and I spend at least 20 minutes each time looking for someone with a comparable difference (SOMEONE TO RELATE TO YOU KNOW?) and out of the 5 or 6 times I've done this I've found ONE person. ONE!!! which just reminds me of how often I forget that although I can be a rando who flies under the radar here in twilight I will Not Be Afforded that luxury when I eventually go back to n*ruto. just look at how comical it is to look at my goddamn ff stats page. and yes, these two are listed right next to each other bc it's an alphabetized list, which just further emphasizes the absurdity in my different fandom 'audiences':

like yknow those popular posts that go around saying "Ummmm it's an UNSPOKEN RULE and always HAS been to ALWAYS leave a kudos and ALWAYS leave a comment even if you didn't enjoy the fic 😌💅" it makes me want to laugh in their faces. because I don't know what delusional circles you run in to think you're entitled to what you deem is 'adequate attention'?

and I will always understand wanting acknowledgement for the hard work content creators do. it feels really nice to get a kind comment or a bunch of favorites/kudos/whatever. but the tumblr-popularized mindset of "your readers OWE you for what you've provided for them" has skewed so far off from the original "fandom is a community" and into a weird "fandom has a hierarchy that we are attempting to enforce" mindset and I can't fucking stand it dude!!!!!

I wouldn't consider myself a fandom veteran because there are so many people who have been around far longer than I and who have seen some worse shit than I have, but over the past ~17 years that I've spent in online fandom spaces (and ~15 as a fanfic writer) the worst part of creating in fandom isn't that "kids these days are soooo entitled" or "noBoDy kNowS HOw tO CoMmEnT ANYmoRE" its that capitalism has warped everyones fucking mindsets!! now that content creation can be monetized people are viewing the content they create as things they can charge this weird 'social currency' for if they can't exchange it for actual currency (which you can't with most fan content).

you don't get to demand that people owe you interaction for you providing a service that you were not required to provide anyways. this banker ass capitalistic republican ass energy makes me wanna scream. and like, if you DO do this (we've all read a fic on FF.net where an authors note says "no more chapters until I get at least 5 reviews!!") then stop trying to moralize it and pretend that people who DONT comment are not doing what is required of them. which, is nothing. nothing is required of them.

tldr; anyways I always feel weird about my experience in fandom and as a fanfic writer bc I don't know where my peers are who can relate to my strange experience but who also don't subscribe to this bullshit "readers OWE the writers" mindset that's becoming aggressively popularized. either encourage friendly engagement with people's content or shut up. no more of this bs "fic writers Deserve More because I'm mad my highly-niche 7k pwp only got 18 kudos" bullshit

Ahh it's a fairly embarrassing crush. Celebrity crushes on adults as a minor is perfectly normal, ask a parent and they'll tell you something like Johnny Depp or Leonardo Caprio. Thing is, a little toxic trait of mine is me genuinely thinking I can get with him.

He's four years older than me, a streamer, and goodness is he my type. What's absolutely infuriating though is there's an entire sub genre based off of crushing on him. I know some people reading this might know exactly who I'm talking about, and to that, no snitches 'til I feel confident to say lol!!

The reason why I genuinely think I can get with him is considering he moves around America a lot, so it'll be no surprise if he lands at my state. Hell, one of his famous friends was at my city!

He also knows who I am.. barely. But to me that makes it more exciting. He laughed at my chat log once, it was literally just 'eat the soap' when he was playing a game about a girl who's pretty traumatized and would eat anything. She ate one of those fake cherries on Christmas decorations once.

My auntie (not actual aunt, I don't have one. I call my friend my auntie) even made some sort of subliminal for me to see if it'll attract him in any way. I still use it, and whenever I use it he flies closer and closer to my state. Once I was painting him and I smelt brownies and clean clothes, which is a sign it's working!

Thing is, is that he's a gay man. No, I'm not a woman, I'm a transmasc, but there's a bug in the back of my mind screaming that I'll never be with him because I'm so feminine. I'm nearly two feet shorter then him, overweight, etc.

He was in San Diego recently doing meetups, which was closer then his last meetup. I won't say exactly where I am, but it's closer.

I have polariods of him, art prints of him, I have personal fanfictions my auntie wrote of me and him.

But then reality hits sometimes. I can't and will never be with him. He's a legal adult, four years older than me. I'm feminine. When I am the AOC he'll most likely be dating someone.

Which just drives me to become more obsessed.

I say the thrill of him not knowing me is fun, and that it's romantic, but it's insufferable. It's one of those cases where you go, 'not to self diagnose but something is definitely wrong here'.

It's horrible, but I love it.

Don't get me started on his close friends and the person he's in contact with the most.

I already made a promise to myself that if the day comes he's with one of them, things will happen. And I will make it known why.

My my... What a long confession this is!! I don't really understand how you feel, these behaviors are quite foreign to me. But I can somewhat understand where you're coming from. Parasocial relationships like this can feel very realistic.

However, as the responsible yandere enthusiast I am, I will still make some remarks about this. I'm sure you love him very much, but I think it's just nice to remember that you probably don't know the real him. Whatever he displays on social media and the internet does not reflect who he really is. Not only that, but I really don't think you should be putting yourself down for being too feminine. Cis men get away with being pretty boys all the time!! The issue is not your gender. If anything it would only be your age. Be careful with interacting with adults like that, you're putting yourself in dangerous situation. It should always be on the adult to not initiate something, but young people who show active interest in adults often get caught in bad positions by people who take advantage of that.

If I'm truly honest I think this is a bit much. I hate to be like this, but I personally think it's important to separate this level of obsession from fiction/hobby to reality. I have obsessive tendencies, I get jealous, I require constant reassuring, I have anxious attachment and I get clingy often. But there's a limit I put to myself and I only ever display these behaviours with people I know, trust and are okay with it.

But this person is an adult who is probably in a relationship. Maintaining an obsession will most likely just end up with you doing things you regret. I'm not sure what you mean with "things will happen" but I don't believe that's healthy for a young person like you to be saying. And I'll give you the benefit of the doubt and assume this friend of yours is not a legal adult as well. Because if so was the case, I don't see why they would be encouraging you to take meassures against this public figure being with someone else.

Hopefully you take this well. I do not mean ti offend you or disappoint you. But this seems a bit much to me. I enjoy yanderes, but I do not consider myself one. And furthermore, I am an adult. I know what I'm doing, and I know how to act. As a child, you should probably not dive into these topics just yet, and maybe not with such aggressiveness.

What interests do they share? For interests they don't share, do they ever participate anyway?

Mallory + Markus: They both enjoy the outdoors, and make Dolly, Birdie, and Carter come with them on long walks around Oasis Springs every Sunday after church to appreciate God's world. They also both enjoy the gym, and they work out a lot together when Markus isn't busy with work. Mallory loves to shop, and has a bit of a point to prove about being financially stable after how she started, which Markus doesn't really get but he doesn't mind hauling her bags around the mall and Hobby Lobby if it makes her happy. He sometimes likes to go hunting, especially if they're back in Brindleton Bay, which Mallory doesn't mind but she won't come with him because it upsets her.

Joanna + Antonio: Puzzles, duh. But they also enjoy cooking together, Antonio's got a lot of ideas and Joanna has the culinary skills to pull them off. They're pretty busy with Colossians and generally appear as a pair to make sure you don't forget they're straight now, so they don't have masses of time for individual hobbies. However, Joanna likes cross-stitch and writing, while Antonio likes to go running.

What was their last big fight? What did they learn from it?

M+M: Before they left Esther's house. Markus is still convinced Esther is the best mom ever, and Mallory is not, so it was less of a fight and more of just constant frustration at each other because "Your mom is the most insufferable person I've ever met" versus "Why do you keep upsetting my mom?". Markus has the communication skills of a goldfish so it took Mallory convincing him it was his own idea to move out, for him to move them out. As for what they took from it, Markus has been slightly removed from other his mother's thumb. Mallory is a bit more confident that she didn't marry a doormat, even if it was a decision he made based on being able to see her ass more.

J+A: They haven't really had any massive fights, but constantly policing your S/O on "not acting gay" can sure drive a wedge in your relationship. After one of them calls the other up on it, they can be a bit short with the other for a few days after. Antonio's especially bad for this, more so if it's in public because he's so conscious of his reputation. Joanna once suggested he was taking too long looking in the men's underwear aisle at Target and he didn't speak to her for about two days after.

Are they a "we" couple?

M+M: Mallory refers to them as a "we", mainly because she thinks it's cute, but it also makes people take her decisions more seriously, especially Esther. Markus doesn't mind her doing this, but refers to them as "me and the missus", especially at work. And never in front of Mal, because she'd hate it.

J+A: Yes, so much yes. They realised that's what people in loving marriages say and now whenever they're in public they are a "we". The only time you might see one of them call themselves an "I" is when they're doing individual talks.

Sure, sure, some people probably like that. I do in person, usually (minus the bitch), but not in the internet life. With my heart and soul plastered all over the walls of this place, I infinitely erect more barriers to keep from feeling too vulnerable. Everyone's staring at my open wounds and praising them, after all, and it's...I don't know. There's something that's not exactly the same when people from my audience approach me. I have no idea if not attending was harder. Felt easier to me. No extra school, no debt, no small living quarters and crunching for deadlines to work that inevitably would mean nothing in the end. Not worth a piece of paper that might not even do anything for me, imo. More than that, I just knew what I wanted. Always have. I committed.

My brother in christ, my hobbies are what you see on this blog. My spare time--every ounce of it--is spent in the production of my art and my writing. You are LOOKING my hobbies in the EYE. 👁️ I have one other hobby I used to nurse constantly in hopes I could do something productive in the world with it, but I have less access to the things I need for it now and my drive for that subject has mostly been transferred to enjoying it from others instead of trying to turn it into a job like all my other hobbies. (I am a workaholic.)

Anything else I do is drafted into contributing to the making of my art in all its forms, like watching movies and anime until my eyes bleed and my ears ring so I can find that next little seed of an idea to bring my work to life.
