All in for ElFinn

Yes, it’s yet another portmanteau for Elizabeth and Finn, LOL! How many have we all come up with now?

Anyhoo, yeah, I love them so, but I don’t understand the complaints about GH rushing this romance or forcing them. I mean, cuz.... they’re not.

Because there isn't a a romance happening yet. Just a few days ago, Finn and Anna casually held hands like they were still a couple. (*sigh* It was so beautiful casual, my Fanna-loving heart sighed.) They still give each other sad eyes. Elizabeth just visited Franco's grave, mourning him. Yes, there was that charged moment with Finn and Elizabeth, BUT they were under very tense, stressful circumstances and THAT is what brought it about.

Neither one of them is ready to move on to a new relationship yet. This is just setting the groundwork for a romance. I loved Finn and Anna, and really, really liked Franco and Elizabeth, but I am absolutely adoring the idea of Finn and Elizabeth. Finn and Elizabeth are my two favorite characters, Michael Easton and Rebecca Herbst my two favorite soap actors, and once it was obvious that the show had no plans to hook up this new character of Michael with Kelly Monaco--I ADORE ME and KM's chemistry going back to Caleb and Livvie on Port Charles--I wanted Michael and Becky, but alas that didn't happen. Now that it definitely looks like it is, I am thrilled.

But it clearly is a slow burn they're doing. The engagement ended and Franco died in February. So it's not like time hasn't passed. This is a soap opera, people don't stay single long. Yet, they both are still clearly mourning the ones they are no longer with and still love. This is just the set-up phase, they are not going into the romance yet.

This is the foundation and I. AM. LOVING. IT!
