Axel (The Sonic Wielder)

Everyone has someone they look up to. Something or someone they could be in a fantasy world. After discussing the elements of fiction by our adviser. We are assigned to create our own character that will represent each one of us.  Here is my work. It is the reflection of the inner kid in me.

Character Description:

Axel is a 16-year-old boy who wields the speed of sound ability that no one can match. He is the top-ranked graduate of the Wielder Academy and went there alongside his childhood friend named Xavier who still managed to finish the Academy without any Wielder ability. Despite his seemingly carefree nature, Axel is a genius and prodigy who can quickly assess information. He always wears a set of headphones around his neck which he uses to activate his wielder ability. He is known as the Sonic Wielder.

Exposition:

In the world, there is the existence of selected human beings called Wielders that have been discovered to possess supernatural abilities. These people are trained in the Wielder Academy to develop their potential and are given highly advanced classes and training to do so. As a result, those who graduate from Academy are given extreme benefits and privileges that enable them to be highly successful in life, such as being entitled to any job or career they want with ease.

The story takes place after Axel escapes and detests the Academy. He went to Xavier who is currently one of the best detectives in Hakibara.  One day, they come across a piece of information connected to a serial killer who targets wielders like Axel.

Rising Action:

The culprit continues his madness. Axel consulted a rescued victim. The victim told him that the culprit is not just killing Wielders but also stealing their abilities. Axel finds similarities in the working of several crimes he investigated. He now knew where the culprit’s next location and the target will be.

Climax:

One evening, Axel finds himself the culprit chasing another Wielder. As he uses his ability, he then catches up with the culprit. Realizing that the culprit was his childhood friend which is Xavier. He couldn’t believe what he was seeing. Xavier who is in the first place does not possess any Wielder ability has now several Wielding powers. They battled intensely, but Axel still holds back because he does not want to hurt his friend. Xavier was too strong for him and Axel’s only choice is to use his special skill but ended up killing him. The reason why Xavier committed the crime is that he wants to create a world that is equal.

Falling Action:

Axel is devastated and wanted to save his friend. Axel then went on to use his powers to the extreme to turn himself into soundwaves that eventually let him travel through time. Axel goes back to where the Academy started. He destroyed the training facilities for them to not develop any more wielding abilities. He used the device by Xavier to steal other people’s abilities and sacrificing his own ability.

Dénouement:

Axel changes the space and time continuum of the world. There are no Wielders left. Everything is normal. Axel is now reunited with Xavier.

Thoughts to ponder:

We should not judge people based on whether or not they have power and believes power should not be necessary to determine one’s worth.
