3rd mother's day without a mother...and my first having given birth without taking a child home. Still feels surreal. Still feels fresh. Like a dream. Like yesterday. Still the same pain, the moment I let it in. Still - can't quite take in what my grandmother has gone through like so many others in those times... Motherless at 8 because of war crimes and being forced to take farewell from her own daughter at 55... They have called each other every 2-3 days for many years... Still she is the most cheerful person I've ever known... Life isn't fair but it still has a lot to give.
