ok addendum i wouldn't say bullied it was more like one particular incident? but back in 2020 the bob cast did a reunion podcast with History Hack (and you should give it a listen it's delightful to hear all the guys) where they openly admitted that there was this like. clique-ish behavior between the boys who did boot camp with dale dye, and those who didn't? and obviously the dudes who played the replacements didn't, and mccavoy was one of them. richard speight jr talked about how one day they were all doing your mama jokes, and mccavoy decided to join in, and then gomez got in his face about it because well. he wasn't part of the clique.

i mean, in fairness to them, they did say that they were little cocky assholes at the time so they knew they were wrong.

Vi alguns falando que faltou ação e aventura nesse livro, mas não achei, a aventura de fato não é o grande foco, mas sim o relacionando deles, apesar do livro sim ter uma história bem legal e belas descrições da missão, tá?

É sim um grande fã service pra quem é Nico Stan kkkkkk mas trouxe de volta meu conforto e minha paixão por esse universo incrível criado pelo Rick. É um livro maravilhoso para os fãs (mas não tem como ler só ele sem ler os outros antes, logo mais vem um post sobre isso aqui hahahah).

E, já que essa é a semana do niver do Percy, achei que fazia sentido trazer mais conteúdo sobre esse universo que me acompanha há mais da metade da minha vida com esse livro que me fez chorar do começo ao fim 🤍

i think some of the vehement fandom reaction to the cheating incident (tm) is disappointment that a female character once again becomes defined primarily by her sexual/nurturing relationships to men. but also c’mon. it’s a war show written by old wwii-obsessed men what did we expect

i gotta be honest with you i wrestle with this whole being disappointed thing bc i went into this series just like... expecting it not to be good? at least on the front of it being like. idk. ground-breaking or whatever. it very much holds on to a lot of 90s-2000s ww2 nostalgia that's not... gonna fly with the times we're in anymore. i still can't fully reconcile watching a show about us army pilots bombing nazis in ww2 when the producer (hi speilberg) is a straight up zionist and uh. two active wars are happening right now. one of which is a genocide funded by the us so!! been feeling weird about it already above all, so that whole shebang was like. eh. that's not the worst part of this whole thing so im a little more blasé about it.
