Description: What will happen when Az accidentally reads a note that Gwyn wrote about him that was meant for Emerie?

History of Magic was usually Gwyn's favorite class but today all she could focus on was Az. He was seated next to Cassian only a few rows away. They were quietly arguing, or rather, Cassian was talking and Azriel was doing his best to pay attention to class. On the far side of the duo was Gwyn's best friend Emerie.

Glancing up at the teacher who was droning on and on she decided to send Emerie a note. She, Emerie, and their other friend Nesta had developed a system where if they wanted to talk they would charm a piece of paper into a bird that would fly their message over.

Looking over at her crush, she could spot the way his uniform clung to his muscles. The way his sleeves clung to his biceps should have been illegal. When a strand of hair fell in his eyes she wished that she could be the one to tuck it back behind his ear.

She had had a crush on the mysterious, dark-haired boy for years. Back when she was a second year and he was in his third year he had stood up for her against the people who bullied her and her twin sister for being muggleborns. Ever since then she had had a major crush. Gwyn knew that there was no hope for him to see her in the same way. He had been hung up on a girl who was a year ahead of him from the moment he met her as a first year.

A couple months ago Az had finally moved on from Morrigan but he was now dating Elain, Nesta's sister. Gwyn however had watched from afar, hoping that he would notice that Elain was just using him to get over her ex, Gray. It had been three months and he still hadn't clued in. Every time she watched Elain become all lovey-dovey when Gray was in sight only to stop the instant he was gone, Gwyn's heart ached for him.

Unable to resist, she quickly scrawled out a note for her friend and watched as it soared through the air. It had become custom for Gwyn to send Emerie a note whenever she was feeling particularly heart broken. She and Nesta had wanted to ensure that they could be there to support her when it got difficult to deal with how she felt.

The paper bird fluttered its wings and glided in Emerie's direction only to hit Az in the back of the head when he stood up abruptly. The bird fell gracefully right into his bag that he grabbed before storming out of class moments before class was officially dismissed.

Gathering her things Gwyn rushed over to Emerie.

"Emerie!" She called. Her voice filled with desperation and agony. She had been successfully hiding her feelings for ages from Az. They had become good friends lately and she couldn't bear for that to change.

Emerie's voice asking, "What?", pulled her out of her thoughts.

"I-I-I was... I sent a note to you like I promised and..." she trailed off.

"What note? I didn't get a note." Noticing her best friend's panic Emerie tried her best to calm her. "Just take a deep breath. In and out, in and out. There. Now, what happened? Take your time."

"I sent you a note like I promised but it hit Az in the back of the head and fell into his bag. He's probably already seen it by now. He's never going to talk to me again!"

"You don't know that Gwyn. For all you know it could have flown out of his bag and be on its way to me. Or maybe he won't notice it." Emerie comforted.

"No. He'll see it. He may not always be very perceptive when it comes to girls but he pays attention to details. It takes a lot of skill to hide something from him. It's nearly impossible to lie to his face."

"Come on," Emerie pushed, "We need to hurry if we want to get a seat in the great hall for lunch."

"Okay." Gwyn assented, worry still weighing her down.

The two girls walked out of the near empty classroom and into the hallway where they were met by the third of their trio, Nesta. Emerie filled Nesta in on what had just happened in class while they all walked to the great hall .

They had nearly reached the entrance to the hall when Azriel came up to them.

"Hey." He nodded at both Emerie and Nesta before turning to pin Gwyn with his gaze. "Can we talk? Privately." He said that last part to Gwyn's friends before they could declare that were coming too.

"Sure" Gwyn said, motioning for her friends to go to lunch without her.

They left, albeit reluctantly. Both of them kept turning back to look at Gwyn and Az.

Gwyn laughed nervously before turning to look at Az. "So what do you want to talk about?" She asked, her voice wavering a bit. He probably wanted to let her down privately to save her the public embarrassment.

Az led the red-haired Gryffindor over to a bench. Sitting down, he motioned for her to join him. He started fidgeting with his hands a bit drawing her attention to his tight grip on a piece of paper. Her piece of paper.

"Did you mean it?" He inquired, his voice so quiet that she had to strain to hear him.

"Mean what?" She attempted to seem oblivious but her cheeks were tinged pink.

"This." He said, shoving the piece of paper at her. Az seemed to gain confidence as he finally met her gaze. "Do you like me?"

"Of course I like you! We're friends" She tried to deflect.

"No. I mean do you like me as more than a friend?"

"Umm." She looked down at her hands. "Yes." She whispered.

At his lack of response she glanced up to where he was sitting, his mouth opening and closing without a noise, like a fish. Gwyn looked back and forth, inching back. She made to leave when he reached out a hand, grabbing her wrist. He pulled her back so that she was sitting next to him again, closer than before.

Bewildered, Gwyn sat there. She watched as his hand let go and reached up towards her cheek. Meeting his eyes, he was staring back and she started to lose herself in them as they got closer and closer until she felt his lips brush her own. He leaned back, biting his lower lip. His eyes were filled with hesitance.

"Why did you do that?" Gwyn asked.

"Why do you think? I like you too, as more than friends. I have for a while now."

"But you're dating Elain."

"No, I'm not. We broke up after her ex decided that he wanted to try again." He quirked an eyebrow up. "I also didn't really like her like that. Sure, she was pretty but we didn't really have that much in common."

Elated, Gwyn smiled. Her whole face lit up. "Can I kiss you now?"

"Yes." He said. They both leaned in slowly, his lips ghosting over hers before kissing her in earnest. Reaching a hand up to the back of his neck she grabbed a fistful of his air, pulling him closer. Her tongue darted out to lick along the seam of his lips, wordlessly asking for permission. He parted his lips, deepening the kiss.

Someone whistled.

Az and Gwyn pulled apart to look at a smirking Cassian who was accompanied by both Nesta and Emerie. Nesta slipped Emerie a Galleon. Gwyn stood up and was pulled into a hug by her two friends. When Nesta whispered, "Why did you have to get together so soon? You really couldn't have waited two weeks? You cost me a Galleon." Gwyn pulled away, saying in mock offense, "You guys bet on us?"

Her two friends smiled and shrugged. "We figured you would eventually realize that you were both pining for each other, oblivious to the other's feelings." Emerie said.

Laughing, Gwyn looked back at her new boyfriend who was being hugged by Cassian. It had taken them a while but they finally got here. She smiled and, noticing her grinning, Az smiled back.

“You really know where Gwyn is hidden?” Amias asks for perhaps the third time as Kinglsey leads them down towards Hagrid’s hut. 

“Of course I do. The Family hid her,” Regulus says.

“And you’re going to help me free her?” Amias asks.

“Possibly. I’m going to help you find her, and then I’m going to determine if she’s a threat or not, and if she’s not, yes, I will free her,” Regulus says.

“So why do we have to hike?” James asks.

“Because the Family sealed the area around her. No brooms, no apparition, no carriages. No flying creatures bigger than an eagle. There’s an annoying poem about it that I had to memorize the year before Hogwarts,” Regulus says.

“I don’t remember memorizing that,” Sirius says.

“You didn’t,” Regulus says.

“Can you recite it now?” Kingsley asks, a hint of amusement in his voice.

Regulus blushes–actually blushes, James wasn’t sure he knew how. “I don’t believe I can,” he says, the tips of his ears burning pink.

You and I are going to change the world - by @velidewrites; Shadow&Bone AU; there is only one chapter out so far, but from that you already know that this is going to be another amazing story by this incredibly talented author.

The Valkyrie's Wolf - by @headcanonheadcase; such a cute idea to write about Gwyn and Ithan; I loved the idea and loved the little stories for SJM romance week even more. also if you like Gwynriel you definitely have to check out her other works, such a talented writer.

Cowboy Like Me - by @separatist-apologist; Nessian AU; the idea...god, I loved it. save a horse ride a cowboy, you know? now serious, just like all her other stories so incredibly well written, loved it so much.

The Death of Peace of Mind - by @separatist-apologist; Eris x OC, and when Eris Vanserra meets a bad omen's song I know immediately it is good and it was...so damn good.

I've Got a Hundred Thrown Out Speeches I Almost Said to You - by @the-lonelybarricade; you want angsty Elucien, you shall receive. I loved this so much and felt the pain and all sorts of emotions, so so well written.

You Look Like Bad News - by @the-lonelybarricade; Elucien; this is most definitely the fic I have read the most on this platform, I cannot even count the times of how often I went back to this fic just to read it again. this is just sooooo good, so you all have to read it, this is an order!!

Forget Me Not - by @moononastring; Elucien; this is the first Elucien story and I have no idea how many times I have re-read it, probably as many times as the you look like bad news story. I still love the story just as much as the first time reading it, it is simply amazing.

Harry and Ginny have been best friends for years and study together in college. A cottage vacation with their friend group leads to two things: they become a couple, a baby (paternity unclear)

Saw someone doing polls on which Hogwarts house ACOTAR character would belong to. Here’s my thoughts (including fusion houses because I couldn’t decide)

Lucien: Gryffinpuff - he could go either way, but I’d lean more towards Hufflepuff. Man is both Loyal and Brave. He’s also cunning, however is not ambitious so I wouldn’t put him in Slytherin. Also… good at finding things 😂

Feyre: Slytherdor - I feel like this one is self explanatory

Tamlin: Hufflepuff… I guess. This man is not cunning, or brave, or witty… 🤷🏻‍♀️

Rhys: Slytherclaw - cunning, ambitious, loves to read

Azriel: also a Slytherclaw. Hello Spymaster

Cassian: Gryffinpuff - again, self explanatory

Amren: Ravenclaw. That’s it. That’s all I got

Mor: Gryffindor… but like I feel like she’s the Neville sort of Gryffindor. Wants to brave, lacks a bit of confidence but has the potential and will eventually break herself out of her own self imposed prison

Nesta: Ravenclaw - possibly a touch Slytherin but I don’t really think she’s all that ambitious. If she were, she would’ve chosen Eris

Elain: Slytherpuff… I know that’s probably a hot take but girl is way more clever than most people think and will likely marry well and play the political game with her mate

Gwyn: Ravendor - genuinely enjoys her work in the library even though Merrill is awful. “I am the rock against which the surf crashes”

Emerie: Gryffindor. Straight up. This girl is defiant as hell and I love her for it.

Eris: Slytherin. 1000000%

Helion: Ravenclaw. Biggest libraries in Prythian. Day Court is the seat of knowledge… need I say more?

Tarquin: Slytherin - his ideas and plans for his court are extremely ambitious and I think, given time, he can do it. That man is determined. Also those blood rubies… 💎💎💎

Varían: Gryffindor… he’s f***ing Amren….

Nesta Archeron (Harry Potter AU)- Chapter 31 (Re-grouping)

Summary: It’s now the last day of school and everyone is packed to go home. Well, almost everyone.

March 1, 2002

It was now the last day of school. That’s right. Hogwarts ends in March. Early March for that matter. All of the Hogwarts students were packing up to go home for the summer. Nesta was not looking forward to it but at least that meant no more school.

“I always thought Hogwarts's end-of-year exams were frightful, but I found them rather enjoyable,” Emerie said with a proud smile. Catrin rolled her eyes. “Speak for yourself. I’d be lucky to live if my mother sees my grades,” she argued as Gwyn looked over to Nesta who hasn’t said a thing since lunch. “Hey Nes, you alright?”

“Huh, oh yeah, I’m fine. Just thinking that’s all.” Nesta replied as the four of them walked towards Eris’s hut again. That’s when Nesta decided to speak. “Hey guys, remember that night when Eris had that dragon egg?”

“Yeah?” They all replied eager to know why Nesta was bringing that up. “Well had it ever occurred to you exactly how he got that egg?”

“Nesta, he said he won it.”

“Yeah, but who carries a dragon egg in their pocket? Isn’t that a little weird?” Emerie thought about it. “Now that you mentioned it, it does seem a bit off.” The twins nodded in agreement.

Once the girls reached Eris’s hut, they didn’t hesitate to pester Eris for answers. “Eris, who gave you the dragon egg?”

“What did he look like?”

“Did he make a bargain with you or-”

“Woah woah woah, girls calm down,” Eris said taking a sip of his coffee. When he was done, he gulped and replied, “I’m not sure. I never saw his face. Never took the hood off either.” It was Gwyn who spoke this time. “Did he talk to you? Ask and questions?”

Eris paused before he could answer. “Well, he did ask about the creatures I take care of.” Catrin thought about the next question before asking. “Was he interested in any of the creatures that you told him about?”

“Only Fluffy. I told him the best way to tame a beast is to calm it. Fluffy always falls asleep whenever I play music.”

Catrin smirked as Nesta, and the girls gasped. Music! That’s the answer they’ve been looking for.

Eris froze. “I never should’ve said that.”

The girls raced back to the castle eager to tell Professor Kallias about the stone, but when they tried to get close, Viviane told them that Kallias was in London.

Sighing in defeat, the girls retreated from his office. “Well, that didn’t work,” Catrin said as Nesta spoke. “Look, guys, we already know that the hooded figure in the woods was Tamlin,” Emerie added. “And now that Kallias is gone-”

“Afternoon ladies.” The young students stopped short upon hearing Tamlin’s voice. Right behind them.

Tamlin folded his arms. “Now what would 4 first-year students be doing inside on a day like this?” he asked rather calmly. The girls were too stunned to speak. He chuckled. “Careful. People will think you’re...up to something.” Tamlin rolled the last part off the tongue as he walked away.

The girls relaxed. “Now what?” Gwyn asked. Nesta sighed. They didn’t have a choice. It’s now or never. “We’re going to the trapped door. Tonight.”

I think Gwyn could be either a Ravenclaw or Gryffindor, but I am gonna go with Gryffindor. She is a lot like Hermione I think, where she's street smart and intellectually bright and relies on research on logic, but they are not who she is.

Again and again, Gwyn has shown that she is willing to be brave, being it laying her soul bare in front of her friends first, taking THAT road, signing up for training first, and sacrificing herself for the children.

She is stunningly intelligent and an inspiration for courage🔥🔥🔥, and is pure fire, confrontational and competitive, gunning for victory. So I think she would be sorted into Gryffindor.

Beatrice Gwyn (1875-1938)

Lady's maid of Primrose Gray, she was six years her senior and since childhood the two of them were friends until, at fifteen, she asked to be in her service and was accepted when the Lady Gray was only nine.

The two of them were like sisters to her and was the only servant willing to follow her to Hogwarts despite being a muggle, refusing to leave her lady to fend for herself. There, she fended off the opportunists and curated her experience, being the older sister she always wished for. She retired in 1935 due to an illness and passed away in 1938 with Lady Gray by her side, holding her hand. She was 63 years old

Alfred Carrow (1898-1986)

A cunning grandson of a miner who aimed for more, he was sent to a boy's school where he learned to write, read, basic English history and politics.

After job-hunting for three years, he heard in a gentleman's club that Lord Vincent of Winbourne was looking for loyal men to support him against his powerful and influential mother and take his place as the heir back, and Alfred did not miss his chance.

At first he was indifferent of Vincent, but with time and being his butler, he grew fond of the boy (despite being only three years older than him) and ended up being his most loyal manservant, and dying at Winboune at the age of 88.

Ansel Heredia (1928-2001)

Son of a Spanish immigrant, Ansel was born in Winbourneshire and raised near the Somersets, and soon his wit, intellect, sense of duty and iron will attracted Lord Lawrence, who soon hired him after his 18th birthday and made sure he knew how to read, write, talk properly, manners, protocol and politics.

He made an excellent service and was soon rewarded by being married to the granddaughter of the beloved and late Emma Barry, Mary. They had a happy marriage and he served the viscount until his death. He died years later in 2001, aged 73

Scott Hudson (1948-????)

A highly smart, ambitious, cunning and extremely loyal and man, he always knew he'd either serve the nobility or marry into it, for they still ruled England. He was hired by the Viscountess Millicent so her son Charles would have help to be shaped into a smart man.

He served with admiration and loyalty to Charles and was like a brother to him, and even admired and appreciated by Viscountess Ismene. He is still alive and serving Charles even after retiring as a viscount.

Annita May (1970-????)

Secretary of Valentina, she's still her most loyal servant and handles the difficult affairs of Winbourne and makes sure everything's in order and hires the other staff and makes sure that 90% of the staff is loyal to the heiress and nothing goes out without a hitch.

She's still alive and serving the viscountess until she steps out

Eris is the head prefect. Snape loves this boy, a menace to his class and mean to Potter. Mcgonall gonna name the vanserra 'Old Money Ginger'. The twizard thing? Oh the vanserra good at it. Dont ask how though. And I am sure Eris would love Fred and George. Somehow humble his spoiled side and it became a lesson for him to always be grateful with what he has. Ignore his father's warning about the Weasley. I mean, father you are away from school. What can you do?

Because I am sad that Halloween has just passed, and am refusing to say goodbye to spooky season (#deluluisthesolulu) I am here for a witchy ask. What if the Jones’ women and Penhallow men (The Ex Hex, The Kiss Curse) had gone to hogwarts? Which house would they be in? Which classes would they be best/worse? How would they interact? Would aunt Elaine have her name on a quidditch cup as captain? (yes, she does)

OMG haha! I love the idea but the ask is probably better suited for someone who is more of a potterhead than i am (It's just been too long since I read Harry Potter). I think they'd all be in trouble with McGonagall as much as the famous trio (making out in the library, come on:). Vivi can be Hufflepuff, i think Wells is Ravenclaw and Gwyn and Rhys are Gryffindors. All of them are terrilble at spells and curses but they have creative imagination and can twek their luck with enough effort:)
