- like matching gear from gymshark and hydros with the same stickers on em-- it’s literally so intimidating to walk onto the gym floor and see you in like hot pink leggings bench pressing while kageyama (in matching shorts) is spotting and yelling at you do to one more rep

- and when I say yell I mean YELL and I know you prob don’t like being yelled at (who does? LOL) but kageyama can’t help it; he gets so hyped up for you

- it’s not all intense tho because you like keeping working out fun-- you will frequently sneak up behind him like while he’s getting ready to squat and poke him in the ribs

- fun but little known fact kageyama is ticklish as hell and if you do that he’ll SCREAM and chase you around until he catches you and tickles you back

- it’s so disruptive you literally got kicked out of the gym once because he ended up chasing you into the yoga studio where you smacked into a little old lady doing downward dog

- yeah but for the most part y’all have productive workouts and being sore together is a bonding experience! also about once a week y’all will go out to dinner afterwards

- can I just say you two are automatically the HOTTEST couple to walk into any restaurant-- you usually force him to dress up, it’s a very mr & mrs smith type beat

- that boy can EAT and he’ll be happy to do so wherever you take him tbh, whether it be a michelin five star or an in-n-out

- just don’t expect him to have a very strong opinion about the quality because to him food is just food; all that matters is that there’s a lot of it

- you guys have a wii and it’s the highlight of every weekend tbh but it gets VERY competitive

- especially in the wii sports tennis and just dance

- you literally beat him every time in just dance and he gets SO frustrated it’s lowkey hilarious but he also kinda sulks

- but don’t worry because all you have to do is climb on top of him and starting kissing all over his face and eventually he’ll cheer up and like grab your waist and wrap all his limbs around you like a very large koala, it’s very cute

- I feel it in my bones that this man is an absolute whore for physical affection and he’s always touching you some way or another, usually either his hand on your lower back or holding yours, or even a sneaky forehead kiss from time to time

- you’d think that he’d be shy about pda but no, he literally dgaf-- he’s so intimidating that it’s not like anyone gives him trouble for it

- he is big spoon. no exceptions

- clearly he’s quite a bit quieter than you, but that doesn’t mean he doesn’t have anything to say-- even though many of your conversations consist of you rambling, you’re super good about making room for him to share because he’s not always going to do so himself

- there’s lots of little whispered jokes and giggles between the two of you, oddly lovey-dovey (he’s so soft omg)

- you rarely get into fights because you’re an optimist and he doesn’t hold grudges (he just gets mad for like an hour and then forgets about it)

- when you do it’s usually because he said something really blunt and insensitive and didn’t realize it was going to hurt your feelings

- but it’s usually resolved fairly quickly; you just have to realize he never means things personally and he has to realize you’re far more affected by words than he is

- overall you guys are the couple that seems like it wouldn’t work but does! people see you and automatically think “oh, well opposites attract” but the truth is you and kageyama have a lot more in common than you might think

your song: aphrodite by the ridleys! it’s not really your music taste, and kageyama basically just listens to the top 100 or whatever’s on the radio, but one day he just sent you a link to it and said “you,” because he’s not great with words but when he heard the song it perfectly described how you light up his life (you totally teased him for it later because it’s SUCH a sappy song and he just got red and defended himself because “it’s just a cute song, okay? don’t laugh at me”

your favorite movie to watch together: the peanut butter falcon. kind of a weird choice-- you two were up late one night and it came on TV and you ended up absolutely loving it because it was just the right amounts droll and touching (just like your relationship hehe)

- my first thought upon reading this was that I have the perfect man for you!

- I match you with the one and only akaashi keiji

- the awesome thing about akaashi is that he doesn’t believe that you need a significant other to be complete-- meaning, although he loves you and would do anything for you, he still respects your individuality (and his)

- he doesn’t absorb your identity into his own, but rather helps you to “grow into your own shoes,” so to speak

- you love him for many reasons, but one of them is that you feel most like your true self when you’re with him

- you’re both therapist types, usually listening to and advising others, so being together gives you both the opportunity to sort through your own emotions with a clear head-- talking with akaashi feels almost like talking to your own reflection because he catches your drift so swiftly, and vice versa

- ^^ and the fact that you’re both so perceptive allows for a super nuanced form of communication-- it’s refreshing to finally have someone as in touch with the more conceptual subtleties of humanity as you are

- right, so now for the fun stuff

- you had a total “meet cute” straight out of a romcom-- don’t fight me on this

- it’s fall verging on winter, and you’re speed walking, head down, through a crowd of people on your way to catch the bus-- it leaves at 7 o’clock, which gives you two minutes to reach the stop

- you get there just as your bus pulls away, so you’re stuck waiting there under the little covered bench until the next one comes at eight

- there’s one other guy there sitting on the opposite end, and he notices you shivering violently; you’re just wearing a thin sweater because you hadn’t expected to be outside so long

- and of course he offers you his scarf, which you’re initially hesitant to take but DAMN it’s cold so you end up tightly wrapped in this thick red scarf that smells of expensive aftershave

- you figure the least you can do is make some small talk-- you find out his name is akaashi and he literally lives in the apartment building right next to yours

- so when the bus comes you sit next to him and exchange numbers before getting off at the same stop and heading into your respective buildings

- but here’s the kicker-- your apartments are directly facing each other, like at exactly the same level and everything. you can see into his living room from yours

- *cue adorable romantic montage a la taylor swift’s “you belong with me” music video*

- I mean, how could you NOT fall in love? destiny was obviously calling and you had to pick up

- you’re the type of couple who goes to art museums. akaashi really likes impressionist painters so he takes you to go look at monet’s lilies and degas’ dancers

- you take pictures of each other imitating the poses of people in paintings and sculptures (one time you got kicked out because apparently there was no photography allowed, but it was worth it)

- also a very kiss-in-the rain couple. everyone says they want that, but precious few actually mean it. you and akaashi are two of those few

- and when I say rain, I don’t mean a light drizzle-- I mean that once, late enough that it’s already dark, you two are coming home from grocery shopping and right before you enter the building it starts to POUR

- he just looks at you, and you look back, and then almost at the exact same moment SPRINT into the lobby to drop off your groceries with the doorman and then back out to turn your faces up to the rain and let it soak you to the skin

- and when your hair is completely plastered to your face and your clothes are dripping, he kinda just takes your hand and pulls you into the soft circle of light beneath the street lamp for a kiss while the deluge continues

- the doorman really does not appreciate the two of you tracking puddles into his lobby afterwards, but akaashi just slips him a larger-than-usual tip and a small, apologetic smile while you stifle a laugh

- also: LINKED PINKIES. your pinkies are constantly linked together while you’re walking side by side, or even just sitting together with knees slightly touching but otherwise doing your own things

- lightly playing with each others’ hair is a big thing too, just kinda absentmindedly twirling his between your fingers; sometimes he weaves tiny braids into yours while you’re reading on the sofa

- (this goes without saying but the last thing akaashi would ever do is pressure you into doing anything physical you don’t want to do)

- something he really really likes is when you read your writing aloud to him. it’s kind of embarrassing for you but he loves the sound of your voice and he loves getting to hear the way you phrase your thoughts on paper

- plus, before he became a manga editor, he wanted to work in the literature department of his publishing house, so he’s a great option to bounce ideas off of

- but unfortunately for you, he’s an extremely gifted mario kart racer and will only let you win if he’s feeling merciful. he may be a gentle person but that doesn’t mean he’s lost his competitive edge

- generally, you’ll cook together a lot of the time, but sometimes you’ll order takeout from the little chinese place down the street and sit on the kitchen floor, legs splayed and leaning against the cabinets, eating straight out of the white paper boxes

- literally such a vibe

- ALSO your guys’ banter is absolutely unmatched. akaashi has such a dry sense of humor that literally only you can pick up on, so you’re constantly trading these quick, lighthearted jabs ugh it’s the best

- something unique about akaashi is that the way he tells you “I love you” is so casual, like he’s just talking about the weather

- he’ll tell you in the morning when he’s bending over your shoulder to steal a bite of toast, he’ll tell you over the phone when he calls to see if you need another carton of milk from the market, he’ll tell you in public when you’re feeding ducks at the nearby pond

- eventually the habit rubs off on you and the two of you are just trading these little I love you’s 24/7

- the fact that akaashi loves you becomes a certainty in your life, and the fact that you love him becomes a certainty in his-- it’s a beautiful thing to see

- overall just the best couple you’ll ever meet, the type that’ll make you feel comfortable even if you’re third wheeling

your song: sunny days, summer nights by sam kim. ironic, no? considering you met late in the year. regardless, it’s a special one for you guys because it’s the first song you slow danced to.

💕Hello! If it's all right was could I ask for a matchup? I'm a straight gal, 5'2" tall gal with pale skin and a thin form. I also have long brown hair, blue eyes and glasses.

As for personality, I'm kind, reliable and hardworking, though a little awkward in large social groups. I enjoy joking around and prefer looking at the bright side of things. My mbti is infj (and ennegram 9w1). I prefer my friends to be considerate and open-minded, someone who doesn't judge anyone by their first impression. I make a lot of bad jokes, so they need to have a sense of humour as well, or at least tolerance for mine😅

My biggest hobby is writing, which I think about almost around the clock. Fantasy and horror are my favourite genres to write, and for character inspiration I often do people-watching. I also sing, mostly in a choir, and go out for hikes in the nature because I love the fresh air and beautiful sceneries. My worst fear is letting people dear to me down and not being there for them in their time of need. I try my best to check up on them but sometimes I wonder if I'm doing enough . . .

My motto would be "If you're going to do it, make sure you don't have regrets later." as I strongly dislike leaving what I start unfinished. It makes me anxious.

My love languages are quality time, acts of service and words of affirmation. I'd like my s/o to know that I overthink often, that my silence doesn't mean I'm angry on uninterested but that I'm stuck in my own thoughts. A deal-breaker is definitely narcissism. Confidence is great but I don't like anyone who thinks the world envolves around them.

- you need someone to keep you moving in the right direction because you burden yourself with way too much shit that shouldn’t even be your responsibility

- he helps you to identify what you really want in life and makes you pick n choose a couple of goals to focus on at once rather than doing everything and anything (something tells me you have a hard time prioritizing and saying no to people)

- you help him stop n smell the roses every once in a while because that man doesn’t know when to take a break

- you both share this incredible attention to detail and you both highly value and love getting to know other people

- he’s the one who booked you your first appointment with a publishing house once you finished your first novel and he used his death glare to scare the poor publisher into giving you a higher percentage of royalties on each sale

- SCRABBLE. y’all play a highly competitive game of scrabble every friday night and you always win. this typically culminates in kuroo throwing a tantrum and tickling you mercilessly until you agree it was “practically a tie” (nevermind the fact that you literally won twice the points he did)

- you love fantasy, kuroo loves sci-fi so your conversations are constantly peppered with ridiculous rants and arguments (e.g. “who would win in a fight, a dragon or a tie fighter?” “definitely a dragon babe, i mean it has fire and--” “okay but what if the tie fighter was piloted by a jedi?”)

- physical touch may not be one of your love languages but it sure is one of his-- he’s constantly got his chin resting on your head, or he’s slipping his hand around yours, or putting it on your lower back-- he also really loves giving you these crazy bear hugs (like picking you up and swinging you around type shit) because he likes to feel all big n protective

- I mean the man is literally almost a foot taller than you so can you blame him?

- you guys have literally the worst inside jokes that no one else understands but they send you into hysterics each times until you’re both crying with laughter (lots of terrible puns, yo mama and knock knock jokes that don’t even make sense)

- like once y’all were on a trip to rome and caught a cab to your hotel from the airport but then it took a wrong turn and it ended up that it actually wasn’t a cab and you had just climbed into the back of some little old italian man’s car

- so now whenever y’all are driving somewhere and accidentally go the wrong direction one of you says “mama mia!” in a terrible italian accent and you start screaming with laughter ITS LITERALLY SO OBNOXIOUS LMAOOO

- because you’re both so intuitive that the relationship is like being two halves of a whole-- you can instantly tell when the other is even the slightest bit down and adjust your behavior accordingly

- AND y’all remember the most random shit about each other

- like he once absentmindedly mentioned he loved this particular brand of orange juice and then you started buying only that brand to stock the fridge and he absolutely loves you for it

- and on your first date when you went hiking you pointed out a clump of flowers on the side of the path you thought were pretty so on the way back he secretly picked one and dried it in the pages of a heavy dictionary and got it framed for your birthday

- honestly it’s just little considerate things like this that make the whole relationship

- he always makes sure to involve you in group conversations because he knows it’s your tendency to be shy and hang back

- good conversation is a big deal for you guys but so is quiet time-- you frequently cook dinner together without exchanging a single word, just kinda doing your own thing (like you’ll chop the salad and he’ll make the pasta) and listening to your playlist

- speaking of music, you used to refuse to sing for him until one day he heard you singing in the shower so he crept right up next to the door and recorded it on his phone, and then when you opened the door he shrieked “AHA! CAUGHT YOU!” which nearly scared the shit outta you and made you drop your towel

- but, ya know, you don’t even need to be self-conscious about your singing around this man because he doesn’t have a musical bone in his body and will think that every single note coming out of your mouth sounds like an angel chorus

- overall you guys are that couple that is just so clearly in tune with each other, you know each other like you know yourselves and it’s such a delight to see (hanging out with you is a third wheel’s nightmare tho)
