Casual Fishing RP Event When: Friday, May 3rd, 7pm EST (Ingame reset| Runtime 3-4 hours) Location: Starting at Seitung Province WP and then making way to Cat Island POI on boat/skimmer/really fast swimming

Bring your boats, water transports, skimmers or strong arms and a healthy apetite for a casual fishing and grilling gathering - Bring friends to enjoy a nice date on the water with fresh food or just enjoy the chit chat - Maybe we will catch a leviathan on the way too!

GW2 ROLEPLAYERS

So. I've had this idea reserved for some time, now I finally have the drive and time to pull it off.

Y'know how the GW2 world/public RP scene is kinda well, barely existent? I have an idea that may resurrect it in some way.

This will be for US servers!

HERE WE ARE! This is my WORLD RP RESURRECTION PROJECT!

The idea is to basically make whole cities or areas the " RP event" for quite a few hours, so it's a faux event with no set premise and is only really there to drag people to the area.

World sharding kinda broke random walk up RP for the most part, buuut what if there was some type of anchor point for a single shard?

I plan on being that anchor point, I'm going to select two days of the week and for about 5 hours a night/afternoon set up a squad for people to jump in and jump out of if they want, but at least everyone will be in the same shard. I will probably rotate through cities, meaning a different one each day, people can set up their own events or businesses for these days to make these places feel a lot more lived in, I would appreciate anyone reaching out to me if they are interested in doing such, a lot of coordination is going to help this kind of project in the long run. This will of course be headed by the efforts of a fairly small guild, any help will be extremely appreciated. We are currently deciding on what days this whole thing will be, might make a poll for it if people like this idea enough. All dates are Sundays.

(I apologize in advance, as well, as due to my work schedule, Sundays are really the best time I have to run an event as I work Tuesday-Saturday.)

alright. know what? with Secrets of the Obscure right around the corner and plenty of new Mists-related sky island settings coming with it, I'll just bite the bullet and interest-check a little something I've been turning in my head for a long, long while.

would YOU be interested in a Mists-based GW2 roleplay guild that uses a lore compliant multiverse system to allow canon, canon-adjacent, lore-breaking, and otherwise 'contradictory' muses to coexist in the same setting?

simply put: every writer's cast would be set in their own self-contained universe. as such, everyone could bring whatever muses they want with their own personal headcanons, and no one could dictate what is or isn't canon for anyone else. so long as your muses are GW2-based, you're good to go! bring your Commanders, bring your canon-divergent OCs, bring your canon muses-- and yes, even the ones that are 'supposed' to be dead. who can say what might have happened in a strange world far across the Mists, after all?

neutral hubs and in-character safety guardrails would be in place to keep all muses on a relatively even playing field regardless of their power, history, and prestige, too. play hardball if you like, but it might not end quite the way you'd hope. the main rule would be to maintain good OOC etiquette at all times: no godmodding, no metagaming, no theft, don't blend IC and OOC, and so-on.

Hey friends! I'm planning to host a chill open roleplaying event. If you're looking for a chance for some casual RP, or you're new to RP and want to give it a try, feel free to come along. All are welcome!

Rules and Guidelines

If you are new to roleplaying in Guild Wars 2, here is a helpful starting guide about RP ettique by ascalonianpicnic.

This event will be PG-13 (12A). General warnings for alcohol consumption and profanity, but nothing too explicit please!

Non-alcoholic drinks are included in the sale offers.

Be mindful and respectful of others. Don't be afraid to check with people about their boundaries out of character!

No violence! This is not the place for bar brawls. Any fighting or destruction of property will lead to you being thrown out.

Any rulebreaking or unacceptable behaviour will result in you being thrown out of the event. Let's make this a fun and comfortable experience for everyone.

You can find us in the Ossan Quarter of Divinity's Reach, a stroll's distance from Balthazar's Waypoint [&BCgDAAA=]. I will not be listing the squad on LFG, so whisper me or use /squadjoin Yaa Ansah to join.

One thing I like about roleplaying a character with pets is that it tends to bring out the best of people. Unless you are some kind of monster who hates a dog, people tend to geek out and cherish at how cute your pets are, and it just feels good.

And it's not just dogs; you can have cats, birds, rats, spiders, whatever. It always brings the same result, that being people appreciating them, and it's a joy to watch that unfold.

@silvesi and I are gauging interest for a Science Fair Public RP Event!

This is an opportunity for scientists, inventors, researchers, wizards and nerds from all over Tyria to meet up and show off their skills. Highlight a discovery, showcase your gadgetry or demonstrate a new magical technique! Debate theory and methodology, or simply enjoy the company of like-minded intellectuals. Ethically dubious ‘mad’ science is more than welcome, but please, oh please do be subtle about it - we don’t want the cops on our tails!

The event would be hosted on NA servers and somewhere in central Tyria, so you don’t need the DLC to participate! Though we don’t yet have a date, we’re looking at hosting on a weekend sometime in January.
