GameStop Has Gudetama Tamagotchi Deals!

Haven’t gotten a Gudetama Tamagotchi yet? Well now is the perfect time. Whether you’re buying one for yourself or even for a gift (such a good idea!), you can score one at a fraction of the original MSRP at GameStop! GameStop currently has the Gudetama Tamagotchi for just $9.97 on their website, which is half price, and the exclusive Gudetama Tamagotchi case bundles for $15.97, which is about $10.00 off!

We recently saw Target listing the Gudetama Tamagotchi as clearance for just $9.98 back in September, but GameStop does not have these on clearance, it merely looks like a sale. The only catch is they are not available for in-store pick up, so you’re going to have to buy these online and get them shipped.

2019 Gotchi Gift Guide

Target: Gudetama Tamagotchi Clearance?

Not confirmed at this time by Target nor Bandai America, but some Tamagotchi fans have spotted the Gudetama Tamagotchi on clearance at their local Target. Remember, the Gudetama Tamagotchi is very much still a part of the 2019 lineup and has even been spotted at some new retailers recently. The devices on clearance are listed for $9.90 which is half off the original price. Be sure to check out your Target to see if they are on clearance, and perhaps pick up one, or maybe even two.

We just informed you that the Gudetama Tamagotchi is very much part of the lineup here in the United States this year, and additional retailers have been added for several products. The official Sanrio Store has just listed both Gudetama Tamagotchi’s for $19.99. Remember those case bundles are still GameStop exclusive, but the good news here is that standard shipping within the United States is free!

Urban Outfitters Completes Tamagotchi Lineup With Gudetama Tamagotchi

Gudetama Tamagotchi has been very popular amongst the Tamagotchi and Sanrio communities. Urban Outfitters has just recently starting carrying the Gudetama Tamagotchi! Remember, these are just the two devices and not the case combos that are exclusive to GameStop locations.

It looks like Urban Outfitters is happy with the Tamagotchi brand, as we they are now carrying the entire Tamagotchi lineup! The Gudetama Tamagotchi, Tamagotchi original, Tamagotchi Mini & the upcoming Tamagotchi On! Oddly enough they still have the Tamagotchi Original listed as “Tamagotchi V5 Game”, can someone tell them that this is not a Familitchi?

Gudetama Tamagotchi Now Available at BoxLunch

BoxLunch, a Hot Topic store that has carried many Tamagotchi devices since the Tamagotchi Friends Dream Town back in 2015 has just starting carrying the Gudetama Tamagotchi! Very similar to other online stores carrying Tamagotchi products, this is an assorted listing. You’ll be shipped either the white or yellow Gudetama shells, if you want a specific shell you’ll have to head into one of their stores.

BoxLunch is only carrying the Gudetama Tamagotchi and not the Gudetama Tamagotchi case bundles - remember those are exclusive to GameStop. They’re listed for $24.90, but are currently on sale for $19.92!

We are so glad to see Gudetama Tamagotchi available at more retailers! We wouldn’t be too surprise if Hot Topic starts carrying them next!

Bandai Booth at New York Toy Fair 2019!

The New York Toy Fair of 2019 just wrapped up a few days ago, it’s an opportunity for people in the toy industry, along with fans, to see the new products offered by several toy companies. Bandai made a huge splash when introducing the Tamagotchi Friends device (featured in a large Tamagotchi decorated booth) at the NYTF in 2013. To no surprise, Bandai America was present! We have all the exclusive details on what Bandai was showing off at the Jacob Javitz Center in Manhattan.

We’ll skip right to it, yes, Tamagotchi was featured at the Bandai booth! Bandai was showcasing the Tamagotchi Original and Gudetama Tamagotchi! Both products are readily available at your local Target & GameStop, and a few other retailers and even more being announced for 2019.

Tamagotchi being present at the booth is not the biggest surprise here. The big surprise is there is a Digimon Digital Monster device at the Bandai booth being displayed next to both the Tamagotchi Original & Gudetama Tamagotchi! We did a little spying on the tags featured below the device, we also partnered with Bandai to get a bit more information and our suspicious were correct! Bandai is bringing the Digimon Digital Monster Original back to shelves in 2019 to celebrate the devices 20th anniversary! Now the 20th anniversary was a few years ago, but this is certainly a welcomed device in the United States and possibly other english speaking countries. The 20th anniversary device was released in Japan back in 2017!

Bandai let us know that this device will have merely identical programming as the original you remember from the late 90’s but with a few new things added. The new features have not yet been identified, but you know we’ll keep you posted as we hear more information.

We have exclusive information that the device is slated to launch in the fall of 2019. It’s probably safe to assume at similar retailers where the Tamagotchi Original and Gudetama Tamagotchi are available. This is HUGE news for Digimon fans, as this is the first confirmed source that the Digimon Digital Monster is returning for the 20th anniversary in the United States (and possibly other english speaking countries)! No word on pricing yet, but you know we’ll  be the first to keep you informed!
