Following our stop at FedEx, we went into downtown Kona for lunch.  Our first stop was Broke Da  Mouth Grindz, a local fried chicken spot, and it was AMAZING. It’s takeout only there, so I needed to figure out where we were going to eat our lunches. Fortunately, luck smiled on us because Ola, the other Kona-based brewery, was open but their kitchen was temporarily closed for renovations. We were able to sit at the bar, eat our fried chicken and sides, and while there was a lot of food, that food was fantastic. The beers are wonderful too--I was bummed that we didn’t really have time to try more, but we had a drive back to the resort and dinner plans that night, plus we had one more stop to make on our way back.

Soap: *Taking notes* Aye, what else?

Oswald: There's also Grindz, which means "Food." Then theres Ono, which means "Yummy." Broke-da-mout, which you usually pair that with "All loose" which means "So good you can eat untill your jaw loses function." But thats just an expression. Kanak-attak, which means "It's so good, that I ate too much and is gon pass out."

Gaz: Bloody- Bonnie, how many terms are there?

Oswald: ...

Oswald: Moving on- There's the "Hawaiian honorifics" of Tutu, auntie, uncle, sistah, braddah and cuzins. Be careful who you call Auntie or Uncle, because unless you're a kid, they'd take it as an insult

Ghost: So why call anyone Auntie and Uncle?

Oswald: Because then you a Haole

Soap: Aye. Now listen to Bonnie, uncle

Ghost: *Gives Soap the death stare*

Agh sorry to disappoint, but I only really know filipino food from growing up in Honolulu. I don't know jack shit out where I'm living now unfortunately (genuinely pretty sure this town doesn't have a SINGLE Filipino place which SUCKS) but my fave back in HI is... ok well shit seems like it closed but I think it was called Hailey's??? had fucking ono chicken adobo (back when I ate meat). Tbh not really sure how much the rest of what I've had is Filipino, lots of fusion kine there. My haole ass will not be commenting on least favorite though lmfao but I'll say I have liked everything I've chosen to eat that was Filipino.

Agh fuck been ages since I've had real good grindz fuckin shitty mainlanders can't even do bread pudding the way fuckin ZIPPY'S does let alone fuckin real good shit... anyways... that's what I get for living where it snows ig :P
