Her final tweet on October 8 reads:
“Gaza’s night is dark apart from the glow of rockets, quiet apart from the sound of the bombs, terrifying apart from the comfort of prayer, black apart from the light of the martyrs. Good night, Gaza.”

You don't need to believe that people as a whole are good or well-intentioned to be an optimist about fixing climate change.
A lot of the time, it's enough to trust in this: people hate being screwed over. And even more than that, they hate feeling screwed over.
Climate change is actively screwing over almost every single person on this planet, whether they know it or not. We just need to keep making sure that people do know that they're getting screwed over, along with all their loved ones, and who's doing it.
Spite and righteous anger will honestly do a lot of the rest.

Injustice Timeline but with more Ghosts
Superman loses Lois, and starts to go rogue a la Injustice route.
Problem.
Dan, who was just entered into the Justice League, takes great offense to this.
Dan, who is reformed.
Dan, who remembers ripping every single member of the Justice League to shreds in that other timeline, and still remembers how to do it.
Superman never makes it past his opening speech to pitch the idea of hero-approved murder.
Dan, standing over an actually unconscious Superman who probably definitely needs medical treatment, looks at the other Heroes who would have sided with Superman.
"Ẅ̸̖̭͚̰̳̼̰́̇̋̚͜ͅh̴̨̛̭̝̘̻̙̝̜͔͚͛͌̿̉̓̈́̔̈̍͆̾͘͜o̵̦̟̣̖̝͔̠͍͙͖͕̔̏̈́͗̍͒̎̿͗̚͜'̴̦̣̪͓͓̤̲̲͐͌̂͋̉̚͠s̵̛̛̛̙̠̾̂͐̌̏̐́͝ ̵̛̩̹̪̤͔̰̣̼͈̒̉̿́͆͌͒͊̄͘̚͝ñ̷͉̠̩̝̇̒̐͂̄̽̈̃̅̕͘͝͠è̷͓̹̫͊̍̔̃̾̌̽̈́͑̓͜͝x̴̻̓̊̽̎̑ṫ̶̬̮̭̳͕̗̙̙̭̬̣̯͌͋̅͌̎͒͐̍͜?̴̗͍̺̼̪̞̋̕"
Meanwhile, Danny was sitting bored in his throne when a rather frightening new ghost forced her way in.
She demands an audience with him, introduces herself as Lois, and bullies him into making an interdimensional Passport.
She bullies Walker into agreeing that a Passport would make interdimensional travel follow the rules.
She has Danny searching various dimensions to find hers, because she wants to spend her afterlife with her still alive alien husband.
Danny...is too scared of her to tell her no.

Today’s hot Untamed take is that
(1) I doubt that Lan Xichen would derive an ounce of satisfaction from telling off Nie Huaisang about the whole vengeance murder plot and the way NHS used him against Jin Guangyao as part of it, partly because
(2) doing so would never occur to him in the first place, as
(3) what he would feel about NHS and NHS’s dead brother is not anger towards NHS, but the kind of soul-drowning guilt over his unintentional own role in Da-ge’s murder that leaves no room for anything like anger towards other people. Whatever externally-directed anger Lan Xichen can muster is not going to be aimed at Nie Mingjue’s vengeance-warped, grieving younger brother, I think.
In fact, to the extent that LXC is thinking about NHS at all (and not about himself, about Nie Mingjue’s awful death, and how the always-fraught relationship between JGY and NMJ that he insisted on maintaining somehow ended in such a cruel death than he now understands to have been a deliberate, carefully-planned, cold-blooded murder that for the method and the opportunity both, relied on Nie Mingjue’s profound trust in Lan Xichen and Lan Xichen’s profound trust in Jin Guangyao), I think he’d be feeling even more guilt. Guilt that Nie Huaisang, someone Lan Xichen has obviously known since childhood, someone close to him who he thought trusted him, chose to go down that dark, lonely path by himself, rather than coming to Lan Xichen and laying his case in front of him: that Jin Guangyao had murdered his brother, and he needed Er-ge’s help proving this and bringing San-ge to justice. What does it say about me, Lan Xichen might be wondering, that an old family friend who I loved and who once loved me in return, would choose to lie to me for a decade, rather than confide his suspicions about his brother’s death in me? Was I ever truly worthy of the trust I expected him to have in me? Could I have done something differently? Does he blame me because I deserve blame? Did he punish me because I was genuinely culpable in his brother’s death, even if I never could have wanted it, and it’s destroying me now to know that I was? Do I deserve this? I think I deserve this.
(4) I also doubt that Nie Huaisang is sparing very many thoughts for Lan Xichen. He already made his choice about that. In CQL, I think maybe he has five or six seconds of sympathy, for him, maybe, about how it feels to have your world completely shattered, and to lose trust and faith in the people you loved. But not much more than that.

So like...Danny as Ghost King getting to help sort people into the correct/prefered afterlives, and talking with all the Justice League peeps to figure out what they want/where they want to go ahead of time like it's a pension plan or like he's a Travel Agent.
Like he gives tours around various afterlives around the Ghost Zone, offers up different "packages" they can choose from.
"With the Ghost Package you can come back to the living realm, but you will be locked in with an Obsession - it's not as bad as it sounds, but we can go into more detail later on what it entails if you're interested - and you will be bound to a particular Haunt. Also my parents might try to capture and experiment on you."
"Unfortunately you don't qualify for the Revenant package due to how many times you've already died and come back, but I *can* get you set up with one of our Reincarnation representatives if returning to the living world is something you are interested in."
"Guardian Spirit is a popular choice, so there is a bit of a waiting time in terms of getting paperwork processed, but if you sign up for it now while you're still alive all that can be done ahead of time and you can jump right in once you pass on. You will need to make sure you regularly update the list of who you will be watching over considering your propensity for adoption."

Dragons Rising is too dangerous for us, cause now the writers have proved they care about their characters. Pixal still existing, Kai having screen time again, and finally acknowledging Lloyd is the grandson of God? This is too much power. One has not ever dared get their hopes up in Ninjago, not for anything.
And they're gonna be the death of me specifically, because now the chances that they'll acknowledge Lloyd's dragon heritage aren't at zero anymore.

have we ever thought abt the fact that zuko is literally azula's older brother. like she's his little sister. that's his little sister. throughout a big, big part of atla plot, he was actively running away, scared of his little sister killing him because he KNEW she would/could. can you imagine that? your little sibling, wanting more your father's approval than your companionship to the point of death? every time they fought, zuko was fighting his baby sister. azula was fighting her big brother. this is making me so sick. they were 16 and 14 years old.

If you're angry with the state of the world, embrace that. If you're dissatisfied with your life and yearn for something more, embrace that. Use those feelings as a source of motivation to make things better.
Wanting to make a big impact isn't a bad thing. Screw people who try to frame complacency, willful ignorance and fake positivity as progressive. The world will never change for the better without driven people, who acknowledge that the world is in pain and fight the good fight to fix that.

There are actually a ton of similarities between Thirteen and Five that I never realized before. Tegan, stop ragging on your ex! She already questions her very existence every two seconds.
I can't believe The Power of The Doctor was a fun multi-Doctor reunion episode and after defeating the Master, they all had a picnic and Thirteen flew with Yaz into the sunset and they lived happily ever after, nothing bad happened, nope, not at all.

Ikora: Will you come back from this?
Eris: Does it matter if I do?
gnawing my own fingers off with worry and hope that a major theme in this season will be Ikora reminding Eris that her survival DOES matter, for the Vanguard's campaign to save humanity but also to Ikora herself, and that they can find peace in each other after all of the friends they have lost, that they don't need to lose each other too

dp x dc prompt #41
When Danny allowed Nocturn to put him to sleep for a while to adjust to his new kingly power without damaging his surroundings or family, he was under the impression that it would take a ‘couple years’. He said goodbye to his friends and family with the promise that he would be back as soon as his powers were stabilized.
None of them stopped to wonder how an ancient’s idea of a ‘couple years’ could differ from their own.
Centuries after King Phantom entered his slumber, a mad Vlad Plasmius rampages across the US after his major scheme to bring back the ones he loved falls through. The JL are sent from place to place to talk with the powers that be that could stop Plasmius, and are eventually shuffled to Nocturn, who decides that it’s finally time to wake the Slumbering King.
For Danny, it only feels like he’s been asleep for two months.
