Entry 7:

I miss him.

Everyone tells me that the grieving stage is natural, but I can’t help but feel as though the days drag on now. Something isn’t the same as it used to be. And, truly, I doubt it ever will.

If only I had the guts to tell him how I truly felt. I suppose it’s been on my part for waiting so long. But… what could’ve I done? He was married, for Pete’s sake. As much as I disliked her, that never misplaces the fact that he… he— well, that he cared for her. Loved her.

It’s even hard to admit in writing.

I’m no woman. I’m not even close. Yet, if that was what close the gap of dancing between the fine line of romantic and platonic, I would’ve happily skipped right over. But I can’t. Mathematically, it’s impossible.

I suppose it’s just more salt to the wound knowing he’s gone.

HELLO! I'm looking for someone to roleplay Nick/Gatsby from The Great Gatsby with. I've been particularly obsessed lately so I figured I'd throw my hat in and see if anyone was interested. My rough idea for the RP would look something like this... (minor book spoilers)

After Nick misses his train to Detroit, he returns to Gatsby's mansion only to find Mr. Wilson poised to shoot Gatsby. Wilson shoots, but in a moment of quick thinking, Nick tackles Gatsby away from the bullet and saves both their lives. With Gatsby alive, the duo must grapple with; Gatsby's imminent court trial, their shared experience (and Wilson's death), Gatsby's declining relationship with Daisy + Tom and face his relationship with Nick.

You can be either Nick or Gatsby! But please, no 18+. :) In terms of RP response time and paragraph length, there is absolutely no pressure or expectations. If this sounds interesting to you, PM me! I'd be happy just to meet a fellow fan!

I write in lit format and try to keep responses substantial enough to keep the plot flowing, but I don’t always provide novella length and don’t require that from my partners, either. Entry 6:

I spoke with Dmriti over the phone yesterday. As much as I wanted to tell him about… you know what, he worries about me another. Some kind of ghost hand doesn’t need to top it off. Yet, he can sense something is wrong. How do I ever start to explain this conundrum?

I have moved Masako’s crib to my room, though. For her safety, and well, my own sake. Honestly, it’s quite nice to have her company. She’s my little buddy. Knowing we can get through this together makes me feel all the more blessed.

Thankfully, in the past day, the “ghost hand” has yet to return. There’s still that creek unfortunately. But, for some reason, it seems quieter than before. Whatever this could mean, I don’t have a good feeling about it.

What’s plaguing the both of us? And… how do I stop it?

Fell Corporation

A company that mass-produced war weapons. The workers there were overworked and mistreated by their CEO Sombron, who ruled with an iron fist. Not only did he abuse the workers, but he also took it out on his wife and many children.

Luckily, one of the children managed to escape and reported him to the police. Fell Corporation was under investigation as Sombron was arrested for his crimes. Not only that, he did extremely illegal practices (drug distribution, trafficking, tax-evasion, all kinds of stuff). The wife made it possible for him to lose complete custody of his children. Sombron swore he would track down each child to cut loose ties. The children, for safety reasons, were all either given to the mother or sent faraway to foster homes or orphanages and carefully protected.

Lythos Industries

The opposite of Fell Corporation, they were the more peaceful company. Lumera, the CEO, treated every worker with kindness.

She lost her husband in a car accident, and her family was long gone due to a tragic country event. Her only company was her butler Vander and his two young pupils Framme and Clanne. She wished to have children and decided to adopt one of Sombron's children in hopes of helping them recover and live a happier life. She adopted Alice.

She made sure Alice was treated well and gave her the best of the best. She was supportive and has become the best mother.

Alice

One of Sombron's many children. She had been traumatized and used the comfort of books to cope. Reading books helped her escape to different worlds and experience better lives. However, the books she read were forbidden, according to her father. She had secretly hidden her books and would read them alone when she got chances.

When Lorina (one of her sisters, oc) ran away and reported the police, Alice and the other siblings were rescued as their father was brought to justice. She was sent to an orphanage, and she waited for adoption.

Alice was soon adopted by Lumera, and she became attached to her. She was treated with so much love and kindness. She goes to a therapist and has a personal tutor. She is slowly recovering.

a small town rp based off of noah kahan's stick season album, just the vibes of a small new england town (also could be inspired by stars hollow). perfect season for it, you already have an inspo soundtrack, just immaculate small town vibes where everyone "hates" it there but they do truly treasure this place and where they come from and you can do the classic small town events and have cute town npcs like a busybody older lady or the eclectic town mayor or smth, i think it'd be so fun and cute but also very close to home for me, a bitterly cold new englander

star trek vibes, could even take place IN the star trek universe idk, just like members of a giant spaceship that's exploring the galaxies or multiple spaceships as a part of a fleet on different missions. like the big ship could have 100 members on board that work there OR it could be smaller 5 - 10 member ships that operate under the big fleet umbrella idk i think it could be very cute very fun for the smaller ships they could pick missions to do from the main whereas the big ship could do one mission and then have time off on this super futuristic city ya know???

a group inspired by the magnolia parks series where its a combo rich kid/crime rp where the children of the elite (whether they obtained that money legally or not) run in all the same circles and some are more dangerous than others, being primed to take over family businesses and the whatnot. i think them also being actively on social media could be very fun AND there could be like group trips but several groups going to several different places??? and the basis/background could be that they all went to the same private/boarding school??? (bonus points if this is all set in london for the european connections)

a good ol oc celeb rp rn during awards szn where they're all under the same management company very basic but i think people don't give themselves enough credit those oc celeb rps be HITTING

college rp inspired by ninth house where the secret societies at this like prestigious, old money, ivy league college award their members special powers or abilities based on them being apart of the societies and there's one special group that watches over the societies as a whole to make sure that they abide by the rules so they don't abuse their powers, very much dark academia, very much a power rp that i think would be very good and could do a bunch of different ways

a rp based in a diagon alley type place but you don't gotta do the harry potter universe you could just ..... use a different magic system??? or just steal that one and remix the shopping alley to include more shops and types just like a easy going rp about a specific street in some city that is obscured by magic and the people that work there i think it could be cute not everything has to feature DEATH and MURDER and EVIL idk
