I find it so interesting how Tony can remain pretty calm and collected in most situations except those dealing with his father. He becomes a mess. I love the way the artist rendered Tony’s face here. You can see the discomfort, the fear, and yet he is gritting his teeth in determination despite it all!
I am so blown away by the amount of detail Lee Jae Wook put into creating and bringing Jang Uk alive. His character when he was in s1 was playful, smart, determined, strong and optimistic. In s2, he was able to completely bring new colors to Jang Uk. The power of the ice stone transformed him and I was really amazed at the different aura he exuded. He brought forth maturity, groundness, power and courage. Jang Uk in s2 is my favorite because I saw many qualities that came out in his different relationships with others like his Park Jin, Yul, Go won and Yeong. Lee Jae Wook put in a lot of work for his character and it looks like it paid off as people are able to recognize his acting ability. Uk is such an unapologetic character, true to himself through in through. I’ll miss him.
And of course this epic line. It’ll go down in one of the best lines ever said by a fictional character.
HOT (or maybe lukewarm) TAKE: I don't want God to make an appearance in Hazbin Hotel
Make Him the true absentee father that, after the creation of Eden, just fucking DIPPED. It's suggested that the elder angels were who booted Lucifer from Heaven (I'm not super certain of the lore prior to the Amazon Prime HH), but not a mention that God wanted Lucifer gone. Granted, that depends on how closely Viv wants to align with Christian mythology. But I'd like to believe that the extermination, how Heaven and Hell are currently run, and all of that is being done outside of the guidance of God cuz He's just GONE.
That, or, if God is gonna make an appearance, make Them a complete other worldly being that made the universe to let it exist outside of Them and actively didn't want to control the beings They created.
What I'm saying is I don't want HH to go the SPN route and just make God a guy that shows up, haha
Rewatching Monster, and Lunge has the opposite of resting bitch face, and I think that's what makes him so unsettling. Sure, he's a threat to Tenma, because he already made up his mind about him, but it's his perpetual little smirk that gets under my skin.
Embarrassing myself rn but I’m just thinking Gojo’s conversation with Nanami in the light novel where he specifically asked him to look after Yuuji because he trusts him. And how he mentioned that while adults might be able to take things on the chin, and in so many words, keep it moving, children are much more complicated than that. They’re hearts can be just as easily broken from the tiniest crack. Well, it made me think about how Getou was all alone in his misery during the short time before the village massacre. Gojo at one point, had even mentioned that Getou looked as if he’d been losing weight but he was always busy with going on solo missions after his awakening, and Shoko had become busy with her own work as well, so it’s safe to guess that Getou must’ve been left with his own thoughts for a very long while before he’d decided to “act,” on those bad thoughts of his. They had teachers, Principal Yaga, and possibly others there at JJT to guide the kids but man… Getou’s whole world was turned upside down and he was suffering alone while Gojo was able to move on, continuing to push toward after some time. Getou had ended up doing such a horrible thing because he didn’t know what else he could’ve possibly done to move forward and deal with his own trauma. Getou and the gang were just kids who’d only really had each other up to a certain point and no adult figures who really stuck out their noses to give each and every student individual attention, making sure that they’re still all there, still whole, and that their hearts were still in tact. It’s awful really. I’m glad that Gojo is as attentive as he is as a teacher because despite how silly and childish he may appear to be, he makes it clear that he cares about his students and their well being and mental state. I love that about him so much. It’s always refreshing to see adult characters actually treat the child characters like actual kids. He’s not too proud to get on their level and play around with them ever and he can even come off as even more immature (he fucking is) than the literal teenagers who are under his care. But its great that he’s as present as he is literally always.
