LN Channel Change AU Sequel: “Seven” {1} {2} {3} {here/final}

And they lived happily ever after. Or did they? We've established our main characters Mono (TV/space-time) and Six (Soul Sucking) have strange supernatural powers. I wanted Seven to have one too. (Hydrokinesis aka water bending)

Notes for how I came up with Seven's powers and the deeper meaning behind his interaction with Mono:

1. Each child has nightmare prophecies (something to do with Mono's time loop?)  at the beginning of their stories. Six's is the Lady, Mono's is the door that leads to the Thin Man, and Seven's is being pulled underwater. Six and Mono's nightmare visions are fulfilled at the end of their stories; revealing that the thing they dreamed about, they essentially become or usurp.  Seven's differs. His dream resolves in act 1 and he kills the Granny, the creature assumed to be the one pulling him underwater in his nightmare. But what if Seven's dream prophecy was still valid... even post-Granny? Being dragged underwater... for a different fate?

2. Seven is the only main cast character shown with the ability to swim. 3. "Seven Seas" anyone? Water is a symbol of purification & life, hence, Seven gains his new powers after he survived and Mono broke the timeline loop to start fresh. "Washing it away" so to say. 4. Water is a liquid; passive in nature, but powerful in circumstance. Seven is kind and sneaky but kills the Granny when continuously attacked and threatened by her. He does the same to the Octopus monster.

5. Water molecules have adhesion and cohesion, meaning water likes to stick to itself, and stick to other things. Seven has an attachment to Nomes. He is always drawn to other people and other creatures, wanting to help them. His belief is that survival chances are higher amidst a group. Water is also known for containing life, no matter how strange or deep, such as ocean fish that often travel in schools/packs often to confuse or fight off predators, thus, another reference to Seven's new life, and his teamwork with Nomes and Mono.

6. Seven is often in fandom depicted by a circle. A water droplet. 7. Seven collects flotsam; typically boat debris, but in this case, bottled messages that come from the sea. Yet another connection to water.

All this indicates heavy implication and well-fitting power to bestow hydrokinesis onto Seven. I was inspired by the INSIDE game's drowning chapter and Stanley and Stanford's secret boat hide-out on the beach from Gravity Falls. Which is why I have selected Mono, Seven, and all their future friends to a lovely and sunny (future) beach house, far away from everything they've suffered. And living near the largest body of water on the planet with a kid with hydrokinesis? ...Certainly has its perks!

But Seven gaining powers is important to not only their survival but also him. He was still nervous about Mono. He knew Mono was very powerful and mysterious. In more ways than one. Mono is stronger than him and can also use telekinesis on objects on the beach. He's a better food hunter and seems more like a leader. Seven also likes to lead, but he felt outshined by Mono. (I don't portray that well in my comic) Seven is weaker and defenseless. His only shining quality in comparison is his ability to swim, but even that can only get him so far. He risks his life for his Nome friends and loses his life doing so. Or so he thought. By a miracle, his powers over water awaken. He drains the monster of its water, beaching it. He walks to Mono in a new light. It's a new him. He holds up his hands as if to say "See? I'm like you now." He's leveled the playing field. (It also helps that he now has jurisdiction over power Mono cannot interact with) Now they are truly equal. Two kings; one of land, one of sea, both ruling the island in equal standing. Seven will never again feel like a burden left behind. (Seven's powers activating also has something to do with the fact he bit the Octopus creature to save the Nome. Mono and Six both consume their powerful prophesized enemies to gain some of their power, if they didn't already have some before. Seven biting into the Octopus's flesh and unknowingly consuming some of it may have jumpstarted his power deep within him, on top of him encountering Mono; supernatural kid extraordinaire that brought him through a tower wormhole to escape the city)

A threequel is planned, and maybe the last addition to this series, but the next one is not fully fleshed out yet so it may be another year until I can really touch upon it yet. Otherwise, hope you guys enjoyed!

Can you give us a cool example to “something truly ridiculous, power-wise?

Probability manipulation is a fun one. Enjoy your charmed life of increasingly contrived coincidences and your finishing move, "what were the odds of a meteorite landing RIGHT THERE?"

Weather control is one for the large scale. On the scale of individual fights it can be a little ephemeral, but hitting people with lightning is always fun. Commanding a chaotic process that massive will have consequences.

Gravity control is a guaranteed "oh shit" that ranges from no-effort personal flight to colony drops to antigrav-ing people into space to throwing black holes around.

Any warlock-type "channel to unspeakably powerful malevolent being" has the potential to range from very manageable small-scale stuff to actual apocalypses depending on the unspeakably powerful being in question and the person serving as the valve. These powersets are cool because they have no theoretical upper limit for how terrifying the valve person can get.

If you're unethical enough about it, casual things like telekinesis or any sort of force-field ability would let you instantly kill whoever you want.

Superspeed is a rabbit hole of horrifying implications the more you wonder how fast the speedster needs to be able to think in order to move and operate at that speed, and whether or not they can turn it off, but outside of that "get anywhere fast" is pretty busted right out the gate.

Something is wrong.

Steve isn't sure that Nancy or Robin notice- Nancy is so focused on reloading as fast as she can, having practiced enough to get it down to seconds, and Robin looks too entranced.

Vecna is... pausing. When he's shot, he lingers where he stumbles. Just for a second, just enough for Steve to notice. Not enough to look odd, but Steve is looking too closely. Too paranoid about something going wrong.

Just before the last shot, the one that knocks him out the window, Vecnas eyes search them. From Nancy, to Robin, then stopping on Steve. He smirks, just a little, before charging at Nancy. Screaming.

He has the same powers as El, Steve remembers, why isn't he throwing us across the room with his telekinesis? Using the vines?

Something is wrong.

By the time they get downstairs, his body is gone. But they don't have time to think about that too long. The clock chimes.

"Max," Nancy says.

The ground shakes, even more violent that before. He grabs the end of the banister, barely keeping himself from falling on his ass. He swings around, reaching around Nancy so he can grab onto Robin. He holds them both upright, grunting with the effort after a moment, the ground shaking for a long time.

When everything stops, when the world stills, they don't say anything. They wait, before sharing a look.

They run out the door at the same time, sprinting as fast as they can. Steve takes the lead, the space between him and girls growing ever wider.

"Eddie!" Dustins distant voice yells.

Steve changes course immediately. He hears Robin yelling after him.

It doesn't take him long to find them. With how heavily injured Eddie is, he feels lucky to have gotten to them in time.

"Dustin, get through the gate, call an ambulance."

"I c-can't leave him al-"

"I've got him, ok? Go!"

Dustin sobs, grip on Eddies jacket tightening for a moment, but he does as he's told. He limps, but moves fast, hurrying back to the trailer.

"Thanks," Eddie chokes out. His grin is forced. "He shouldn't have to... see this."

"Don't thank me yet."

Steve wigglings his hands under Eddies back and knees, gritting his teeth at how wet his arms get with blood. He's easy to lift, but the pained screams are horrible enough that Steve is tempted to put him down. To ease that pain.

"Fuck, Harrington!" Eddie pants, shaking in his arms. "Let me die in peace."

"You're not dying."

Eddie groaned, dropping his head onto Steves shoulder. Every step makes his wounds burn a little more. "Steve, please."

But, by then, they're already inside the trailer.

"Get more pillows or blankets, give him a softer landing!" Steve instructs.

He sets Eddies legs down as gentle as he can, awkwardly dragging a chair over to the portal. There's a new rope set up, the fabric blackened- the Upside Down sheets.

Steve doesn't wait for a go ahead, carefully and slowly climbing up the chair. It's hard to lift Eddie up, hard to support his entire weight, especially without causing him further injury.

"Catch him, alright?!"

"Alright!" Nancy calls back. "We're ready!"

Steve has to move slowly, trying to be as gentle as he can as he slowly lifts Eddie up to the gate. He tries to be careful of his wounds but, judging by his whimpers, he doesn't do a great job.

The edges of the gate pulse, glow, as he lifts Eddie through. He's almost sure that, for a moment, they move- but he's not sure because, at that same moment, gravity takes hold of Eddie.

"Yes!" Robin cheers.

His landing isn't soft, but it doesn't get more than a groan out of him. It's the best they could've hoped for.

The edges of the gate still look... wrong.

"Come on, just move the sofa," Nancy directs. Between the two of them, they move the mattress, with Eddie still on it, pretty fast. "Alright, Steve, come on through!"

As soon as Steve starts to climb the rope, the edges of the gate start moving. Fast.

"Holy shit," Eddie notices first. "It's closing!"

"Oh, shit," Dustin yells, dropping the phone so he can run to the gate. "Steve!"

"Come on!" Robin encourages.

He has to stop though, the gate already too small for him to fit through by the time he reaches the top of the rope. He drops down, the closed gate cutting the make-shift rope in half.

He doesn't land hard, but the Upside Down is so eerily quiet that it echoes like a gunshot.

Nancy, Robin, Eddie and Dustins panicked yelling sounds muffled, distant. Not the same way it had at Wheelers. Somehow, it sounds even more distant. More... out of reach.

Even the portal- though it still glows an ominous red, it looks thicker. He can't see the broom hitting the portal, even though he can hear Dustin yelling at Robin to hit harder.

They can't break through.

He's stuck there.

Pollo fun fact!

I wanted to talk a little about his main invention! The gravity gloves! These gloves are connected to the antennae on his hat, and the hat has a technology indirectly connected to his head that allows him to lift whatever he wants into the air as if it were telekinesis. He can lift large and heavy things into the air (but this requires a lot of effort from him mentally). Anyone who wears the gloves and hat has the power to do the same (but it's very difficult to adapt to doing this XD Pollo has already dropped a lot of things in the first tests)

But why did he invent this?

Simple, so he doesn't touch things and people he doesn't want to touch. He is sometimes sensitive to touch. But this technology also has advantages in picking up things from a high height and also in fighting.

Have fun putting in anything that Pollo wouldn't want to touch or I don't know.. use your creativity XD

Hello! Yes i practice telekinesis. Of course I can help you!!

To do this, I will tell my story of manifestation:

First, I created an intention in my imagination where I am a master of telekinesis.

The first week I tried to move things with my mind, but "nothing worked". Every time I "tried" to move the thing and it didn’t work, I still kept imagining it moving. (If it's important, I first practiced telekinesis on my laptop, moving it across the table and opening it without using my hands, just with my mind) and...

As you probably already know, the outside world always shows what's inside. This is the "secret" of success... A week later I was able to move the laptop, which was lying on the table, 5-6 centimeters and open it!! Only by the power of thought, without any physical help! The outside world showed me what I always returned to in my imagination when I “failed” to move and open it. Now I can move and open things of almost any gravity only with the power of thought.

My advice

The inner world (imagination) controls the outer, and not vice versa. Become a master of telekinesis in your imagination, and the outside world will definitely show it! Good luck!! Thanks for your message 🩷

The chill of winter rushed down your spine, causing a subtle shiver to follow along your goosebumps. You should’ve known that the old ass windows of the Sanctum would be drafty, but the view of New York covered in snow was somehow a sight you couldn’t pull your focus from. It was breathtaking.

Strange trusted you to house–sit the Sanctum Sanctorum while he and Wong went out to visit Kamar–Taj. It was a little day trip for them, so you didn’t mind the task. Besides, it was the least you could do to make it up to Dr. Strange for letting you stay there. You couldn’t exactly remember how you’d lost your family, but alas, it brought you here anyways. You were left lonesome, with powers you could barely summon on command.

He was training you on your telekinesis abilities, and giving you sanctuary from the blistering wind–chill outside. Watching the Sanctum for a few hours felt like a reasonable task for you to take on. You were more than capable of protecting it.

The sound of the doorbell stirred you from your people watching, immediately grounding you from your thoughts while you trekked down the steps. The doorbell rang again just before you got to the large door, opening it with a slight twinge of irritation. All your annoyance melted away when you realized who had disrupted the peaceful afternoon.

A boy, roughly your age, stood on the steps in front of you. He looked at you doe–eyed. Stunned. It seemed like you both anticipated a greeting from different people. His brown eyes pierced your soul, making a mental note to remind you that you had to see them again. His hands dug into the pockets of his winter coat, hesitant to break the silence.

“Is, uh- Is Dr. Strange here?” He asked, voice on the verge of breaking. It almost seemed like he was too scared to hear the answer.

Your head turned into the building, about to call out for the doctor before you realized how much of an idiot you were for forgetting. “Um, no. Sorry, he’s out today.” Your brows creased, feeling a little sympathetic. You weren’t sure why your powers were picking up his energy so adamantly, but his energy was something that drew you in. “Do you want me to deliver a message?”

It seemed like your words carried a weight that only he knew the gravity of. He suddenly seemed lighter. Hopeful. “I, umm.. No, that’s okay.” He turned on his heel, stepping down the steps again. “Thanks anyways–”

“Wait.” You cut him off. You couldn’t figure out why, but you didn’t want him to go. Part of you knew he was more significant than he was leading on. A part of him lived in the barren sanctum walls, and you knew it. “What’s your name?” A small smile touched your lips, “I’ll let him know you stopped by.”

The boy froze dead in his tracks. It was almost like you’d said something wrong. Shit. Doe eyes turned into the stare of a deer in headlights. He didn’t seem to know what to do.

Your brows creased a little more, concernment sewn in the crevasse this time. “Are you okay?” He didn’t reply. He didn’t even move. You weren’t sure why he started malfunctioning, but you knew you had to do something.

“Maybe it’ll help if I tell you my name first?” Even you didn’t sound too sure, but this was better than nothing. You leaned into the doorframe more, trying to present yourself in less of an intimidating way. “I’m Y/N.”

You watched him mimicking the deep breath you took, easing into his posture. He gained some color back, and found his way back to his body. A nervous smile tickled the corners of his mouth with a breathy laugh, awkwardly glancing down at his boots.

“Sorry..” He spoke amid the anxious laugh, scratching the back of his neck. “It’s nice to meet you, Y/N.” His smile grew at the way your name fit with his voice. “I’m, uh.. Peter Parker.” It was like his name was some forbidden tongue. Getting it out seemed to lift the weight stuck on his shoulders though. “My name’s Peter Parker.”

Smiling back at him, you stood upright. “Well, Peter Parker, it’s nice to meet you too.” You sent a reassuring nod in his direction. “I’ll be sure to let the doctor know you stopped by.” Your brow arched at him, unable to shake the grin off your face. “Alright?”

Peter took steps away from the door, but kept his eyes on yours. “Thank you!” He beamed a little. It seemed to be the first light to hit the boy’s eyes in a while. “Happy holidays, Y/N.” He chimed, walking off into the street.

You hollered the same thing back in his direction before shutting the sanctum doors. You couldn’t quite dismiss the odd energy that your powers sensed from Peter, but it wasn’t a negative feeling. In fact, it was fascinating to you. And walking back to the drafty old window you’d been stuck at all day, you realized you wouldn’t be forgetting about Peter Parker anytime soon.

You hoped you’d be lucky enough to see him soon.
