Another fully self indulgent gouache painting and ugh, fuck it, I'm gonna say it - I'm actually super proud of myself for this one. Seriously thought I'd bitten off more than I could chew with the lighting and hands. So pleased that I persevered :)

for once not painting byler and instead painting max mayfield love of my life!!! gouache again, over some purple ink as a background. i would've used blue ink but it dried up lmao. close-up of Max's face, I really struggled with keeping her looking like the reference ngl. also it's REALLY HARD to paint something orange in blue lighting (her hair) lol, they kind of cancel out. I'm happy w this though! I like the way the colours came out

heart on fire

hello again! I painted this last night for about three hours without realising how long I'd been painting lol. There is no sketch underneath, I was trying to use up the paint leftover from painting my sign for pride - hence the rainbow colours. I actually love it though, so I may use colours like this again

media: mixture of tube watercolour and gouache. also committed to only using one brush (a small, flat brush I already had out) hence some of the blocky strokes. it was a fun challenge honestly!
