You and Loki had been anticipating the twins being born soon, but when you finally felt yourself go into labor, your nerves immediately shot through the roof. You woke up in the middle of the night – a painful contraction pulling you from your sleep. You held your swollen stomach with one hand and smacked Loki's chest with your other hand until he woke up.
"Loki," you groaned through your clenched jaw. "Loki...they're coming."
Loki quickly sat up and jumped out of the bed – flipping the light on and grabbing the backpack full of the things you'd need for the few days you'd be gone for.
"I'm calling Thor," your lover announced as he helped you out of the bed and put his phone up to his ear. "Brother," Loki frantically called into the phone. "We have to go to the hospital, the twins are coming, and we need you to come watch...," Loki was cut off when he heard the front door opening. He peered out to the living room and saw his brother walking towards him. "Eloise."
"Go," Thor nodded the two of you to the front door. "I promise, she'll be safe."
"Don't you dare let -,"
"I know," the older brother interrupted. "Cara won't come anywhere near her."
Loki was quick in getting you to the hospital – helping you to stay calm while you tried to focus on your breathing.
"Loki, I'm scared," you cried out – lying in the hospital bed and gripping his hand as another contraction came along. "What-What if I don't know how to do this?"
He gently rubbed your forehead and planted a kiss on you.
"You will do fantastic, my love," he smiled sweetly. "I'll be right here the whole way."
For the next few hours, Loki paced around the room impatiently – his attention turning to any nurses or doctors that came to check on your progress. It felt like an eternity before the nurses and doctor came into the room for the last time, and as you watched the doctor pull the stool up to the foot of the bed, you gripped Loki's hand – knowing that you were about to bring his and your babies into the world. You screwed your eyes shut as another contraction came, and when you looked over at Loki, you could see tears in his eyes.
"You've got this, love," he reminded you – kissing your lips deeply once more before the doctor told you that it was almost time to start pushing. You grabbed hold of Loki's other hand, and you wrapped your fingers around his palm the best you could. The nurses put helped you put your feet in the stirrups, and the doctor reminded you to push down into the bed as hard as possible. You nodded your head – exhaling deeply as you prepared for the next contraction. The minutes of silence that filled the room were tense – all you and Loki wanted to do was hold your babies in your arms. However, in order for the two of you to be able to do that, the pain of birthing them into the world had to come first.
You felt the pain start to rise once more, and the doctor counted down from five and told you to start pushing when he got to zero. Wanting to get through delivering two babies as quick as possible, you pushed as hard as you could - using Loki's hands to help you push down into the bed. After so long, you had to stop to catch your breath, and Loki's voice was the only sound you could hear. He was praising you – letting you know how amazing you were doing, and when the next contraction came, you repeated the same action until a small cry hit your ears.
"Oh my God!" you gasped – reaching out for the bloody, crying baby girl and tearing up as Loki cut her umbilical cord. "Can I hold her?"
The doctor smiled and placed the little girl on your chest, and her cries instantly ceased – finding comfort against her mother's chest.
"She's so beautiful," Loki's thick, tear-filled voice spoke.
"She looks just like her daddy," you chuckled – wiping some of the blood off her face to get a good look at her.
She looked exactly like Loki. She had his nose, mouth, and hopefully, she'd have his eyes. Her little bit of hair was dark – just as Loki's was. The two of you didn't have long to coo over the baby girl because there was still one more little one to go. Loki passed your daughter over to one of the nurses to let them clean her up and wrap her in a blanket while you delivered her brother.
You repeated the previous actions – pushing as hard and fast as you could to get your son into the world. Eighteen minutes later, you felt your son finally make his way out, and you heard the second small wail of the day. The doctors and nurses got you and the babies cleaned up, and they rolled two small bassinets next to the bed – placing them side by side. Finally, you and Loki were left to hold your babies in privacy – the tears seeming to never slow down as they poured down your cheeks while you held your little girl against your chest.
Loki, who was holding your son, gently nudges you under your chin to get you to look up at him. He had a tearful smile on his face, and he bent down to kiss your lips passionately. You could taste each other's tears, and it took only a second for the kiss to deepen.
"I love you," Loki said softly once the kiss broke apart naturally. "I love you so much...I won't ever be able to give you as big a gift as you have."
You chuckled and moved over so he could sit on the bed next to you. "But...you did, Loki. Without -," your tears started to flow once more as you thought about everything that you'd been through. "Without you...they wouldn't exist," you softly reminded him. "Not only did you give me the ability to have kids, but you gave me two of the most precious little babies I could've ever asked for."
"Audrey Rose and Aidan Ryan," Loki smiled – looking at the sleeping twins and smiling at the sound of the names rolling off his tongue.
You were in awe of the god beside you. The love for his children being a love that you never imagined possible. You knew months earlier that you wanted Loki to be the father of any and all of your children, but alongside that, you also wanted him to be the last man you ever loved.
"Hey, Loki," you softly nudged him to get his attention.
Loki looked away from Aidan and turned his attention to you. "Yes, love?"
"Will you marry me?"

The Feast - Chapter Two
The feast later that evening was just as loud and lavish as was to be expected from a king of such a wealthy nation. Every table was decorated in stunning white, gold, and red flowers. The food was plentiful as was the drink, each table of guests having a whole roast just to themselves. The music was playing songs of joy and happiness, causing much merriment among the people in the hall.
The kings of the nations had joined the king and the princess at the high table, while the princes each sat at their own tables with their royal party.
“I must say, it was quite a surprise to see such a fine young princess in armour, although I must say rather refreshing too,” Odin smiled down the table towards Y/N. “We don’t have many female warriors but we do have Lady Sif, who is quite possibly one of our most feared and great warriors.”
“I would very much like to meet this Lady Sif,” the princess smiled back, sipping on her sweetened wine before she continued. “I’m glad you find it refreshing to see a princess in armour, I am aware many of the kings at this very table are probably uncomfortable with the idea of a woman leading the pack rather than being at the side.”
“Not at all, I think it is wonderful,” Odin beamed. “You remind me very much of my wife, she knew herself well, a very bright and strong woman, you’re very similar in that sense.”
“I have heard many a thing about your wife your highness, to be compared to her is a great honour,” she bowed her head, smiling. “Are you enjoying the feast?”
“Oh very much so.”
The night continued, once the starters had been replaced by mains, and the mains replaced by desert, the guests began to mingle among themselves. The princess was no exception. She danced with many a guest, chatted away to each of the kings and queens who had come to the event, and even played with some of the younger children of the royal families.
Loki watched her all night, enthralled by her. Unlike other princesses or even queens he had laid eyes upon, he could tell there was something different about her. When the children played or danced with her, the smile on her lips was genuine. When the kings joked with her and her father, her laugh was not false, it was true and sweeter than any music that was being played. She didn’t dance as though she were a princess, she danced like she was having fun, letting her dress sway and swish along with her movements.
“For someone who didn’t want to be here, you seem rather happy,” Thor smiled, sliding into the chair beside his brother. “You haven’t taken your eyes off of the princess all evening.” Loki scoffed, somewhat embarrassed to have been caught out.
“I have done no such thing,” he groaned, tearing his eyes away from her to look at his brother. “I was merely eyeing up the other princes to see what our competition is, dear brother.”
“You certainly seem more willing to compete than before,” Thor laughed. “Perhaps it is because you have now seen her, as they say on Misgard, it would appear to me that you have a crush on the princess.”
Loki didn’t have time to respond before a gentle tap on his shoulder brought his attention away from his brother to the woman trying to get his attention. Looking up he saw it was none other than the princess herself, sweetly smiling with her hand held out towards him.
“Loki of Asgard, correct? I believe you are the only person in this room tonight I have yet to dance with,” she smiled, a glint in her eye that Loki couldn’t quite place. “Would you care to dance?”
“Of course, Princess.” Loki allowed her to lead him towards the dance floor. The music was soft allowing them to be close together while they danced.
“So, Loki of Asgard,” she smirked, “you are one of the last people I expected to be here trying to win my hand in marriage.” It may have been a statement but her tone suggested it was a question he needed to answer.
“My father would very much like for our nations to be allies, this is a good way in which people can become allies, through marriage,” Loki stated, looking into her eyes as they swayed across the floor.
“Hmm.” Loki saw the glint in her eye, one he was very familiar with. It was the glint of mischief that he always got when he was about to do something that he shouldn’t do. “Correct me if I am wrong, but you don’t really want to be here, at least not for the reason of marriage to unite our nations?”
“Perhaps not,” he hummed, following her movements across the dance floor.
“So answer me this if you will,” she smirked, “if you are the great god of trickery, why are you here? Surely a god renowned for his tricks would have found a way out of this is he did not really wish to come?” Loki didn’t really know how to respond. She was correct, he was a god of lies and tricks, if he had really not wanted to come, he could have got out of it, but he came, so why was that? As he was lost in thought about why he was really there, Y/N studied him.
He was unlike the other princes trying to win her hand. He was considerably more slender than the others, but still, as his hands held her close as they dance, she could feel the muscles beneath his attire. Something about him made her feel warm and safe but at the same time, she felt a mischievousness leak from him, one that made her smile and want to do chaotic things by his side. He certainly was a handsome, perhaps not the way his brother was but there was something about his stern looks, coupled with his long raven hair that made her heartache.
“I suppose I am here out of curiosity then,” he smiled down at her. “Of course I have heard of you, but I have never met you before this moment. People talk very highly of you and your father across the entire Nine Realms, this was an opportunity for me to finally see what everyone was making a fuss about.”
“And are you disappointed? Was the fuss justified?” She smirked. Loki liked how she challenged him, it was a change from women of higher status who let him lead the conversation.
“Oh, I am not at all disappointed. You have gone above all the expectations I had in my mind when I made my way here.”
“Good,” she smiled. They talked for a little while longer before she began pulling away from him, bowing a little. “While this has been fun, I have a lot of other people to talk too, I cannot be seen to show favouritism so early on in the contest for my hand. I shall see you tomorrow Prince Loki, for the first task.” And with that she left, making her way towards a king and queen from another nation.
Loki watched as she left, her dress swaying as she went. Perhaps he hadn’t intended to come here to win her hand, but he certainly wanted to at least try to win now.

Just A Little Chaotic (Chapter 3)

Just A Little Chaotic (All Chapters)
It was already 5pm and I was still in my hotel room with Chris, both of us still wearing our robes. We just ordered room service to fill us up. Chris was on the bed as he was watching the news. His face was scrunched up with mild annoyance and distaste because of the horrible news that was airing. I sat beside him and placed my hand on his lap. He was still fixed on the TV, his eyebrows furrowed, nose scrunched up and lips pouted.
“Hey,” I cooed at him. “I have to pack… Joelle just sent me my flight details, it changed, and I have to leave early tomorrow.” Chris looked at me and pouted even more. Don’t do that, you dummy. You look too cute.
“When can I next see you?” Chris asked sweetly.
“Oh, so you’re thinking of a second date now, huh?” I joked at him. God, I’m gonna miss him. “I’m gonna be gone for a year and a few months. It’s my first headlining tour and it means a lot to me. I really have to focus, y’know… and last night,” worry filled Chris’ face as I continued with my sentence. “Honestly, it was so fun, and you are so sweet and amazing but it’s…” it was hard for me to find the words to say. I took a deep breath and held both of his hand. “I enjoyed my time with you, Chris. And if I could do it every night, I would but I have to focus.”
“Are you – are you ghosting me?” Chris asked exaggeratedly making me laugh.
“Ghosting you is when I’m going to stop talking to you out of the blue. What I’m trying to say is that,” I scooted closer to him and he wrapped his arms around me. “Let’s take this real slow, we’ll keep in touch while I’m gone and when I get back, let’s go back to where we left off.” I planted soft kisses on his lips and he laid back as I rested my body on top of him. “Sounds good?”
“Sounds nice.” He smiled and kissed me deeply. Before things started to get heavier, I got up from the bed and pulled up Chris.
“With that being said, I have to fix my stuff. I have a flight early tomorrow.” I placed my hands on my waist.
“Are you kicking me out?” Chris stood up and mimicked my stance.
“Is this not the first time, huh, Evans?” I teased him, and he smirked in response. I wrapped my arms around his neck and he placed his hands on my waist. “Don’t you have work too?”
“You’re funny,” He kissed my forehead, both sides of my cheeks, my nose then my lips. “And yes, I have a film to shoot soon but I’ll go back in Boston next week.”
“You can see me when I come to Boston, you can come to the show.” I offered.
“Only if I get free tickets.” He smiled and kissed me deeply.
Chris stayed for a little while since he helped me to pack. As soon as we were done he left and let me rest. Chris and I became close while we were filming, and he always offered a hand to me. He cared for everybody, but he was more caring towards me – as pointed out by RDJ. I remember when we were on set for Avengers, we were filming the scene where all of us are in the helicarrier. We were in the huge table discussing about Loki, I was sitting between Scarlett and Chris, with a chair in between each of us, Robert and Mark are behind me, and Hemsworth is standing across us. That day I wasn’t feeling well, I had a cold and I had a lot of phone meetings earlier the day for my tour, so my head was pounding with pain. Playing a superhero with healing powers was ironic to me now.
I found it difficult for me to keep up with the scene even though I just had a few lines. I was messing up the whole day, and it annoyed the hell out of me. Every time I messed up Chris would give me a reassuring smile and cheer me on. His enthusiastic energy helped me get through the scene. Once the director said cut, I slouched down on my seat as everyone were packing up for lunch.
“You alright, Angel?” Scarlett called me with my character’s name. The Dark Angel, Gabriela Stark, once a HYDRA experiment and now an Avenger.
“I’m going to die in a few minutes, I can feel it.” I shook my head in response and I gave her a faint smile. She rubbed my shoulders to comfort me and left to get her lunch. I looked at Chris who was in a conversation with Robert. Chris was whispering to Robert then in response, Robert gave him a huge smile, two thumbs up and then walked away.
As I stood up from my chair, Chris walked towards me. “Seems like you and Robert have a little secret.” I teased at him.
“It’s nothing,” he said. “Do you want me to walk with you to your trailer?” he offered just like the gentleman that he is.
“Are you still going to ask me about that date?” I raised my eyebrow at him. Chris grinned and shook his head as if I caught him with his plan. I never said no to him. He was persistent in asking but not to the point that he was annoying, but I just roll my eyes at him every time he asks.
“You know what they say, never say never but hey – you’re sick and I worry about you. I just – I don’t,” Chris stuttered as he finds his way through his sentence. I tapped him on his arm to stop him struggling.
“Alright, you can walk with me but don’t ask me about the date while we’re on our way, okay?” I told him, and he grinned like a little kid. To my relief, he never mentioned anything about his request while walking. He told me the crazy story of how he fell face flat on the floor while doing some stunts on the first Captain America movie which made me laugh hard.
“I was ridiculous, I looked like a drunk man passed out on the floor.” He laughed out loud and I clutched at his arm since I was laughing too hard. When we reached my trailer, I stood in front of the door facing Chris. “Are you not going to let me in?” he teased.
“No, go to your own trailer, Evans.” I teased back. He chuckled and placed his hand on his chest.
“That hurt, Ali.” He joked. “Anyway, before I go… about that date…” I rolled my eyes at him in response and shook my head. “Hey! You told me that I can’t ask you while we’re on our way and now we’re here, so…”
“Such a smartass, Christopher.” I said sarcastically and gently pushed him. “Later, Evans.” I waved at him and went in my trailer, leaving him behind. When I got in, my attention was drawn to the table filled with various types of tea and a clear glass tea brewer. Joelle was sitting on the chair next to the table with a smirk and a note card in her hand.
“Mr. America’s something, Ali.” She said as she passed the note to me. Right when I saw who the note was from, my heart fluttered.
              Alison,
I heard you like to drink tea when you’re sick.
                              Get well soon, Angel.
              - Chris
P.S: I had some help with RDJ.
I took my phone which was on the dresser near the table and texted Chris. Joelle’s right, Mr. America’s something.
Here’s the deal, I’ll go on a date with you once we wrap. I guess you’re not bad, Evans.
I looked at the different teas that were laid out on the table. Green tea, Barley tea, Earl Grey, Chamomile, and so much more. I picked out the green tea and asked Joelle to help me brew it. I typed another text to send to Chris. I wanted to thank him and at the same time tease him.
Thank you for the surprise. I guess you’re cute now.
“Who am I kidding, he’s always cute.” I said to myself as I read back my messaged that I just sent.
“You say something?” Joelle asked, and I shook my head in response. Chris makes it hard for me not to fall for him and I love it.
Author’s Note: I have a fic that I wrote for the character she plays, you can read it here. :)
