Finished Queen of the Damned the other day!! It’s such a good book. I’m taking a bit of a break from the vampire chronicles for now though as I have a bunch of other books I wanna get into.
In other news, I’m totally killing my Goodreads reading challenge this year.

**Update**
March 18, 2023
Status: Read
Rating: 4.5/5
Finally finished this one and loved it! It was simultaneously dreamy and eerie. I don't understand how it's never been made into a movie; the details in the setting and characters etc. made it an enthralling read.
I made a playlist on Spotify, the same name as the title.

Going to try rereading this book. I hated it when I read it at 17 for my AP English class. However I want to see if my hatred stemmed from spending months dissecting it. I honestly don’t remember reading any other books for my AP English class…

What if First Contact but also Climate Crisis, and also Jewish?
A HOUSE WITH GOOD BONES by T. Kingfisher ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Generational Trauma amongst the suburban roses.
TRANSLATION STATE by Ann Leckie ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
A missing persons cold case that makes you question what it means to be human (and takes place on the Imperial Radch universe).
THE SECRET HISTORY by Donna Tartt ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I think one of the things to remember while reading this book is that the characters are Terrible people, and that the text is aware of this. Beautifully written.
WOLFSONG by TJ Klune ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Emotionally vulnerable, queer werewolf smut.
LEGENDBORN by Tracy Deonn ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Southern Black Girl Magic meets Arthurian legend.
