Last year (wow, feels weird saying that) I took part in the @goodomensbingo!

I decided to write primarily about Gabriel and Beelzebub for a change, so I’ve called the series Bureaucracy Bingo (although the actual relationship varies, so they’re not all necessarily the ship ‘Ineffable Bureaucracy’).

I only got one bingo in the end, but I’ve still got a few more part-written fics for some of the other prompts, so I’ll probably post them later. For now, check out the works for the prompts ticked above at the links under the cut!

Tea with the Queen (G), 1691 words. Gabriel and Beelzebub have tea with the Queen of England. No, not that one - try a few centuries earlier.

One Bed (T), 2753 words. After the failed Apocalypse, Gabriel’s superiors (he’s only an archangel, after all…) have decided he should be sent to Earth to educate himself - and, by extension, Heaven - on humanity and day-to-day human life. Entirely independently, Beelzebub has decided to do the same. Both end up being taught the basics by Aziraphale and Crowley. Today’s lesson is Beds.

Noah’s Ark (G), 1076 words. Gabriel and Beelzebub meet up before the Flood.

Blind Date (T), 2217 words. Beelzebub goes on a blind date - which happens to be with Gabriel, their long-time work rival (and maybe also office crush).

Witch Hunting (G), 601 words. Gabriel and Beelzebub meet by chance at a witch trial.

Bingo! 🎉

Umbrella (G), 759 words. Beelzebub and Gabriel are caught out in the rain during one of their secret meetings. Beelzebub has never seen an umbrella before.

Magic Tricks (G), 703 words. The thing about magic tricks is that they’re all about convincing you that one thing is actually another. That a demon, for example, is not the same thing as the angel they used to be.

Exotic Plants (G), 737 words. As we know, Heaven and Hell are literally located in a big office block. After the non-apocalypse, Gabriel is demoted to the basement, getting an office of his own in Hell.

Sailing (T), 1508 words. Pirates are evil. Everyone knows that. Which is why Beelzebub knows their trip to a pirate ship will be easy pickings for recruiting souls for Hell. Gabriel hates going to Earth, but at least this time he’ll be sailing the seas with the right sort of humans. It won’t be that bad. Of course, when it comes to humans, nothing is as easy as it seems.

Croptops (T), 506 words. At some unspecificied time in the future, Gabriel and Beelzebub are stuck on Earth, doing the jobs that Aziraphale and Crowley abandoned. They both hate it, but at least Beelzebub can make the most of their time by teasing Gabriel.

Librarian (G), 639 words. Childhood enemies Beelzebub and Gabriel compete over a game of daring in the school library.
