How are you?, asked Raguel. He feels like overripe fruit hanging on trees: poised, knowing that it must fall but not when it will. He feels like fishes in bowls, looking at the world through a filter of anxieties and mistakes, locked in an aquarium limited by the confines of his own mind. He feels like the drops of water hanging from the taps, heavy and trembling, unable to launch themselves into the void without outside help. He feels like a dog, collar and leash, chain hooked to the guardrail. He watches the cars whizz past him without anyone stopping to help. He feels as one who is tired of always feeling victimised by everyone and everything and would like to have the strength to rip off the shackles that keep him anchored to himself. He feels like someone who would like to rip off his skin and remain a pile of bones and arteries, just what counts without any more protection all around - because skin is great armour, but it is difficult to keep it intact. Like the masks he wears, like the facade he displays every time he opens his eyes in the morning. He feels like someone who has been running a marathon for years without ever seeing the finish line. "Tired," he replies at the end. Just uttering that word takes a huge weight off his chest, allowing him to close his eyes for a moment without seeing anything imprinted on his eyelids. Only black, for once. No images. When he lifts his gaze to Raguel, he finds a smile on their face. "You have the look of someone who couldn't wait to admit it," the doctor comments, the tip of their pen meeting the notepad again, without writing. They gives him a moment's pause; Anthony begins to suspect that all these silences serve to give him time to settle in between interactions. Silently, with his mind rather than his voice, he thanks them for it.

Good Omens Invader ZIM AU

In this AU, Aziraphale is a member of the Resisty, sent to Earth to investigate the movements of ZIM (though rarely involves himself in the other Irken's affairs and instead opts to open a shop in Soho). Crowley is a former Invader, on the run from the Armada, who takes a liking to Earth to hideout on (after all, the Empire has no interest in the planet). The two then meet, shenanigans ensuing.

Oh, she did ask me a few things about the AU that I figured I'd share here:

Crowley and Aziraphale's "true" forms are of a Bird and Snake. Heaven and Hell are represented similarly (Heaven mostly by birds, and Hell by whatever animal motif they naturally have).

Humans still exist in the AU. Everything is essentially the same as in the show besides Angels and Demons having different forms.

When not hiding themselves, Angels and Demons are cloaked in a kind of glamour that makes them appear humanoid to anyone they are interacting with. Any oddities in the interaction are naturally filled in by the human brain, though it can get a little weird on what they remember.

They can shift to a humanoid form if they need to (some things are just easier with hands), though Aziraphale favors his Bird form when in his Bookshop.

Crowley spends more time in human form than Aziraphale. Azi tends to only do it when necessary or when leaving the shop.

”You…remember. What do you remember?" Angel asks.

Watching the busy, grey-edged harbour as the ferry pulls away, looking out for a flash of cream and blue. Lying on a tartan rug in the hollow back from the cliffs and letting the wind course a little way above us, never quite touching our skin. Loving someone or something, and filling a plastic glass with red wine. Holding out for as long as I can until breathing becomes regret and air turns to saltwater. Nothing. I remember nothing.

It comes to him then, for the first time, that while he might not remember, Angel does.

“I don't know. I can’t remember. But you do.”

Edit because this is more important to me than it should be lol: not an AU! They're still Angel and Demon, it's merely canon-divergent I would say.
