After a long night and infuriating work..

Some hours had passed. Both were already laying in bed together. Mordecai however was reading this time, keeping him relaxed but alert if anything would happen. Halina laying next to him. "sleeping", peeking with her eyes a couple of times to see what page he was on.

The black cat could feel how the grey one snuggled closer, cuddling and tangling their legs together. It... it felt correct... that was the way he was describing these new sensations and feelings towards Halina or while being together.

But it was rather clear she wasn't sleeping, catching her peek.

"Is perhaps something troubling your mind and keeping you awake? Or you simply want to outlast my time awake to prove a point?" Mordecai let out without gazing at her at first. He then looked at her, with a far more gentler look, wondering what was causing her to act on this particular way tonight out of all nights.

She nuzzled his chest softly. "I just want to be close... it's a chilly night tonight~" She mumbled. And that was a lie, but perhaps she wanted to stay close. More than usual. "Though.. if I'm occupying your space too much I can leave to my side of the bed." she let out with a small pouty face as she looked up to him with those half lidded eyes.

He rolled his eyes before closing the book. Giving her a faint smile as he put his pince-nez and book away, lowering his back so both of them were resting, allowing Halina to get closer as she pleased.

"Perhaps something like this?" The one with green eyes asked trying to be a bit coy, denoting how needy she seemed.

"Perfect." she simply let out while resting her head against his chest again, cuddling close to him as she wanted.
