[Amy goes to withdraw her hand when Shadow snatches it from mid-air. The hold they have is awkward but very sturdy.]
Amy:(/౦/‸/౦/)
Shadow:〣(/◎/_/◎/)〣
Amy: Oh.
[Shadow's hands start to shake, the one gripping Amy and the one gripping their own knee. They're still looking at her wide-eyed, fully bristled and breathing slow, deep breaths.]
[Amy blinks. She tries to speak, but nothing comes out.]
[Slowly, Amy brings up her other hand, so that it wraps around Shadow's hand. Shadow's grip lessens a fraction, and Amy shifts to hold their hand in both of theirs. Their clasped hands gradually settle gently on the couch cushion.]
Amy: ...Oh
In astrology, the houses within a birth chart symbolize distinct areas of an individual's life where the influences of planetary energies are expressed. These houses serve as sectors through which various aspects of life unfold. By examining the meanings of each house, one can better understand the specific domains of existence that the planets influence and the corresponding roles and responsibilities that these planets hold within those areas.

Today is Friday the 13th, a celebrant of magick and good fortune. Both the day and the number are associated with the Great Goddesses, and therefore, regarded as the sacred essence of luck and good fortune.
Thirteen is certainly the most essentially female number -- the average number of menstrual cycles in a year. The approximate number, too, of annual cycles of the moon. Thirteen is the number of blood, fertility, and lunar potency. Embrace the magick!
Sending blessings from MooncraftmagickStore to you and your loved ones. May the day bring you good fortune.
I recently had a very sudden, very clear image in my head of a Wood Elf standing in the place they call home, Redwood Forest. They wouldn't appear green to each other there, they would appear to have fairly normal skin tones and hair colors. I had to get the idea down on "paper" so I could look at it with my eyeballs and make sure it made sense outside my head. XD
It's called Redwood because all the plants and trees there are red, it is a Red Wood. But the Elves only really see their green skin if they venture "too far". Red isn't really a color that means "danger" or "stop" to this culture, but green can be.
It's ok Amy, don't think about it too much. Keep your cool
[Amy nods, pursing her lips as she takes a deep breath. She picks up a knife in her free hand as she leaves the kitchen to find Shadow standing awkwardly in the middle of her living room. Amy can't help but smile as she gestures to the couch.]
Amy: The furniture doesn't bite.
Shadow: (¬ ¬)
[Shadow sits, as does Amy. She shuffles in place, putting the cupcake on the coffee table and trying to cut it in half. Her hand is shaking, and the cupcake has gotten hard. When she tries to cut it, it ends up being lopsided, and half the icing falling off. ]
Amy: Ah, sorry, um.
[Without a word, Shadow takes the smaller half, leaving the chunk of icing on the table, and eats it.]
Amy: Any good?
Shadow: ┐( ̄ヘ ̄)┌
Amy: Oh, sorry. I didn't think. It's too sweet for you.
[Amy tries to cut the large chunk of cupcake in half, only to once again have the knife slip. She hisses, then takes the small piece that has been cut off and sticks it in her mouth.]
Shadow: ...Are you alright?
[Amy looks up, making a noise of confusion.]
Shadow: You're apologizing a lot.
Amy: Mm phine.
[Amy, having spoken without thinking and a mouth still full of cupcake, gasps in horror as she tries to catch crumbs falling from her mouth, only to accidentally inhale some. She furiously tries to chew the dry cupcake while her lungs attempt to clear themselves out, finally managing to swallow everything right before she bursts out in a coughing fit.]
