Mother: Cassandra Cole (Née Sarkilis)

Dedicated, witty, and a little too blazingly shameless for her Hogwarts peers, Cassandra Sarkilis was a half-blood witch who found her calling early on in Hufflepuff House when she got a kick out of throwing people off balance and catching them in the acts of their misdeeds. She was frightening for a Hufflepuff but made one of the most hard-cracking prefects (and eventually Head Girl) of her year. Not particularly looking forward to being resigned to take over her parents' pastry shop, she instead went in the direction of training to be an auror — to the surprise of no one but those that didn't know her from school. While frequently underestimated for her abilities, she pushed on and led quite a successful task force near the end of the First Wizarding War.

She met Glenn Cole in a muggle grocery store as he was looking for a bottle of wine and by either terrible coincidence (as she would say) or wonderfully fated (as he would say), he tripped on her shopping cart and ended up shattering a bottle of pinot noir over her shoes. She offered to pay for the bottle and he offered to pay for her heels. Thus, they agreed to meet up to exchange each at a later date and the rest was history.

Father: Glenn Cole

Glenn Cole was a muggle Linguistic Anthropology professor at the University of Manchester. A very curious man with a bleeding heart, he sought to always question the thinking of others as well as himself — a trait that Cassandra found most endearing and also largely irritating. The two bickered quite a lot throughout their marriage but it was almost always lighthearted. For much of the earlier time in their relationship when he didn't know that she was a witch, his initial instinct was to assume that she worked for the government in some sort of secret capacity. It wasn't until they married that she disclosed the truth to him in the form of magically repairing one of his sport coats.

Brother: Hayden Cole

Hayden Cole was a promising young seeker from Ravenclaw House who had nothing but plans for making it into a pro league. Well-liked by his peers, he was a sweet person though albeit a little troubled by the building pressure that came with his success on the Quidditch Pitch. One of his few saving graces was a pen pal from Beauxbatons, Camille Daniaux, for whom he eventually developed feelings. His other was Avalon. In spite of the significant age gap between them, he always had a soft spot for her and she looked up to him greatly.

After graduation, Hayden was quickly approached by the Montrose Magpies and the Ilkley Quidditch Team but chose the former. His rise to fame was quick, especially after one match in which he caught the snitch in an upward spiral after it ricocheted off of a quaffle. At the height of his growing popularity, it shocked the Wizarding World when he was knocked off his broom (to which some say was tampered with) while the referees were occupied with a foul and died upon impact.

Personality & Attitude: Avalon's loyalty and and diligence clearly shine through as the traits that put her in Hufflepuff, but she still struggles to hold a degree of compassion for herself - often disregarding much of her own feelings in order to "handle" whatever comes her way. No matter what that thing is, however, she will never let those around her see her fall.

Avalon has very firm values, but one would notice that she won't often go so far as to “shake the applecart” with people if there need not a reason to that doesn't concern either the people close to her. What surprises many is that in spite of this, she's got quite the radar for bullshit and since having a kid has become much more willing to fight any battles for her son. While sympathetic and quite kind, she has never been a very outgoing person—but she is definitely a bit more sassy and opinionated to those that prove loyal in lending an ear.

While she didn't get along as well with Angelina Johnson or Alicia Spinnet, Avalon always appreciated that Katie would make time for the two of them to hang out. After the incident with the cursed necklace, she went off to Italy upon graduation and the two didn't reconnect until her return.

Camille Daniaux - Camille had always been like a second brother to Avalon per his relationship with Hayden, and she always treated him as if he was a brother. Having met him at a young age when Hayden brought him to their home for dinner, they clicked quite well. Although he and Hayden weren't ever able to marry, Camille eventually stepped in as an unwavering figure in Avalon's life, helping with the bakery, Rocky, and everything else.

Ex-fiancé: Roger Davies - Avalon had been best friends with Roger Davies since the start of school. Although they were opposites in many regards, they got along well and had quite a will-they/won't-they relationship throughout their time at school. Particularly, she had always been quite fond of him and he was too dense to realize that he was fond of her as well, often dating other people with little success to her amusement and disappointment. It wasn't until a few months after the Yule Ball in their sixth year that they ended up revealing their feelings for one another. With the onset of the Second Wizarding War, he proposed to her but was ultimately killed, leaving behind an unknowingly pregnant Avalon.

Children: Roger Jr. - Roger Jr. (sometimes affectionately referred to as Rocky) is Roger Davies and Avalon's son, for whom she gave birth to when she was 19 years old. A bright boy with a love of dinosaurs, he was a gift that she didn't know she needed — especially as her initial reaction to finding out that she was pregnant was one of terror that later bloomed into a fierce protectiveness.

S/O: George Weasley - Avalon never spoke more than a few sentences to George during their time at school, but she was well aware of who he was and her impression wasn't a good one. It wasn't until five years after the Battle of Hogwarts that they would truly "meet", initially not getting on so well. From then on a period of healing came to pass as both of them talked through their traumas and grief, and eventually developed feelings for one another.

@noxtms is an appless and highly au group set in a modern golden trio era. ten years have passed since the battle of hogwarts, which saw not only the death of harry potter, but the defeat of lord voldemort at the hands of the surviving dumbledore’s army. ten years, where individuals grieved, grew, and moved on - their peace tentative in the way it always is and ruined when the rumors of bellatrix lestrange & her associates attempting a resurrection proved correct. the dark lords last and best lieutenant succeeded in returning him to life, though the return of the boy who lived and regulus black proved to be an unintended side effect. it has become obvious to the survivors of the second war that nothing, not even peace, lasts. everything ends, though you never quite step into the same stream twice. the new threat has well & truly arrived, and it’s up to you to decide whether this time, all will be well.
