[ETERNAL GOD] - Haruto Asuka SR Card Story Translation
Tumblr media
Ft. Haruto, Madoka, and Shift with cameos from Tsuzuru, Reni, and Oruto
A Playwright's Observation Diary (Haruto Ver.) - Chapter One
Tumblr media
Tsuzuru: Right, once again, thanks for collaborating with me on the play. I really appreciated the opportunity.
Madoka: The feeling is mutual. Thank you for everything as well.
Tsuzuru: I wanted to talk more at the closing party, but the atmosphere made me a little tense, so I could barely get my words out as it was.
Tsuzuru: That’s why I’m glad we had a scriptwriter-only party today to celebrate our collab.
Madoka: I agree. I wanted to talk to you as well, so I’m glad we met up again.
Madoka: Like I said at the party…
Madoka: I was able to learn a lot from you while co-writing “Twin Kingdoms," so it ended up being a lot of fun.
Tsuzuru: I wholeheartedly agree. It was a great experience for me too, and I also had a lot of fun during the process.
Tsuzuru: There were so many times you caught me off-guard with your ideas. It was exciting watching you come up with scenes and lines I never would've imagined myself.
Tsuzuru: In the end, I pulled a lot inspiration from you.
Madoka: I thought your contributions were incredible as well.
Madoka: I can only hope to be as good as you someday.
Tsuzuru: Haha, thanks. I'm a little embarrassed to hear that.
Tsuzuru: I hope we can continue to inspire each other as fellow scriptwriters instead.
Madoka: O- of course!
Madoka: Although... I’m just starting out, so I’d like to learn a little more from you if that’s alright.
Madoka: Could I ask you a question?
Tsuzuru: Err, I’m still learning myself, but I'll try to answer it if I can.
Madoka: Ah, thank you so much.
Madoka: So… As an in-house playwright, what do you usually consider when writing a script?
Tsuzuru: Hmm, that’s a good question…
Tsuzuru: If I had to say, I probably think a lot about what each actor’s life is like.
Madoka: All of them?
Tsuzuru: Yeah. The more I know about a person, the more roles and storylines I can come up for them.
Madoka: I see...
[God Troupe Practice Room]
Tumblr media
Reni: Alright, let’s begin the practice session.
Troupe Members: Yes sir!
Madoka: (Minagi said that the more I know about an actor, the more inspiration I’ll get, right?)
Madoka: (Hopefully by observing the troupe members during their practices, I’ll learn more about them.)
Madoka: (However, it’s kind of hard to focus on all of them at once. Maybe I should just pick one...)
Madoka: (Today, I’ll focus on…)
Madoka: (Got it! I’ll observe the actor everyone in the God Troupe relies on the most—Asuka Haruto.)
Tumblr media
Haruto: For this scene, I think you could incorporate the characters’ relationship into the line delivery a little more.
Troupe Member A: Gotcha, let me try saying this one more time…
Haruto: There you go. Now, let’s discuss the blocking for the next scene…
Madoka: (As always, Haruto is ready to give advice and offer feedback to the other troupe members.)
Madoka: (He’s really become the heart of the God Troupe's practices, how amazing…)
Tumblr media
Shift: Haruto! Give me advice too!
Haruto: No.
Shift: Whaaa~ Oh wait! Is it ‘cause I’m so good that there’s nothing for you to say?
Haruto: Don't even think of gettin' cocky with me, ya nitwit.
Troupe Member A: Ahaha!
Troupe Member B: Those two sure get along. Haven't they gotten really close lately?
♡♥♡
Troupe Members: Good work everyone!
Haruto: Hey.
Madoka: Oh, Haruto, that was a good practice session.
Haruto: Just now, it seemed like you were watching me awfully closely. What’s up with that?
Madoka: !
Madoka: I’m really sorry if I bothered you. It’s just... well… recently, I had a talk with Minagi from the Mankai Company and...
Madoka: He told me that in order to write a good script, it was important to observe and understand the actors.
Madoka: That’s why I was sitting in on the troupe's practice today: to get to know everyone better.
Shift: Oh I get it! So it was Haruto’s turn today!
Haruto: Don’t just butt into other people's conversations!
Shift: Anyways! Since today’s practice ended early, the three of us should hang out, so you really get to know him!
Haruto: What.
Madoka: …! Haruto, please let us come with you!
Haruto: D- don't look at me with those puppy-dog eyes.
Haruto: Argh… fine! I get it! You guys can tag along.
Shift: Yes!!
Madoka: Haruto, thank you so much for this.
A Playwright's Observation Diary (Haruto Ver.) - Chapter Two
Shift: Alright! We've achieved the first objective of our mission~ Arriving at the supermarket!
Haruto: What do you mean "our mission"?
Madoka: Umm… what are we doing?
Tumblr media
Shift: Hehe, let me explain. One of the older guys in the troupe gave me some takoyaki plates that he didn’t need anymore!
Shift: Oruto loves takoyaki, so we were gonna make some together.
Shift: The catch is... I’ve only made takoyaki a few times before. That’s why, I thought about asking Haruto since he seems like the kinda guy who knows his way around a kitchen.
Haruto: This has nothing to do with Madoka’s observation though…
Shift: Well wait until you hear about this—Our little takoyaki party is officially sponsored!
Madoka: O- officially sponsored?
Shift: After practice, I told Reni about our friendship bonding mission, and he gave me some money for it.
Shift: Mann, I didn’t expect him to do that, but I’m really glad I said something.
Haruto: What!? How shameless are you!?
Shift: But it's for our sake! Reni thought it was a good idea for us to get to know each other better too and gave it his stamp of approval.
Haruto: …! Well, I mean, if Reni said so…
Shift: Alright! "Mission: Make Takoyaki" is a go! Let’s get those ingredients!
Madoka: Yes, we probably should.
Haruto: Jeez, how do I keep getting roped into these things?
Tumblr media
Oruto: Whoa, that's amazing! You're really making takoyaki!
Haruto: The dough’s all ready… Now we just need to heat up the takoyaki plates and add a little oil…
Madoka: Wow Haruto, you’re really good at this.
Oruto: And you're doin' it super quick too!!
Haruto: Hey, pass the chopped ingredients over here.
Shift: No problemo! Here they are!
Haruto: What the—When did you have time to buy more ingredients!?
Madoka: Other than the octopus and crunchy tenkasu bits… there’s also cheese, kimchi, pollack roe… corn, bacon and tomatoes, konjac jelly…
Oruto: Ooh, pickled plums and natto too!
Haruto: The octopus and sausages are traditional fillings… but whaddaheck is the rest a’ this junk!
Shift: We’re having a takoyaki party! Trust me, it’ll be more fun this way!
Haruto: You’ve got a lot of nerve putting this shit in front of someone from Kansai…
Shift: It'll be fine, trust me! Let’s start making the takoyaki!
Haruto: Wh- Stop that! Jeez, you really do whatever you want…
Shift: Oruto, Madoka, feel free to fill them with whatever you like too.
Oruto: Gotcha! I'm gonna add this and that~ Then mix it real good!
Madoka: It’s like this, right?
Haruto: You guys too...!? Fine...
Haruto: Have it your way, but you're responsible for eating your own garbage.
♡♥♡
Haruto: I’ve just gotta carefully flip the dough and... There we go.
Shift:  Whoa! You’re crazy good at this!
Oruto: Wow!! So cool!
Madoka: They’re so nice and round… Your handiwork is amazing…
Haruto: It's no big deal.
Haruto: Alright, I’ve just about finished, so now all we have to do is add some sauce, a bit of dried seaweed…
Shift: And shake things up a bit!
Haruto: Now what the hell are ya doin'!?
Shift: We're playing Russian Roulette!
Madoka: The takoyaki's all mixed up… We can't tell what's inside what anymore…
Shift: It’s more exciting this way, trust me!
Haruto: Count your days.
Oruto: This smells so good! And it looks super tasty too!
Shift: Alright everyone, hurry up and pick one so we can dig in!
Oruto: Right behind ya!
Madoka: It looks good.
Haruto: Fine… Whatever.
Shift: Hot! Hot! Mmm...Delicious!
Shift: It’s still hot, but the outside is nice and crispy while the inside is all soft and tender. Nice job, Haruto!
Oruto: This tastes amazing! Mine had sausage inside!
Madoka: Hot, hot… But mmm, it really is delicious. Mine was octopus.
Shift: Mine was cheese and pollack roe! They went super well together!
Haruto: …! ...Sour! What is this!? Pickled plums!?
Haruto: It’s not… Inedible at least…
Shift: Ahaha! Haruto, you got it! That one's my fave!
Haruto: The heck are ya puttin’ in these!!
Madoka: They really are delicious though. It is kind of exciting to try them.
Oruto: Yea!
Shift: Alright, next time I’ll be the one to make takoyaki for you! It’ll be my special recipe filled with all kinds of ingredients!
Haruto: Keep it to ya self!
Madoka: Ahaha!
Madoka: (It’s kinda nice seeing Haruto and Shift go at each other like this.)
Madoka: (For the next script, it might be fun to write a comedy scene with Shift throwing curveball after curveball at Haruto.)

pillars made of stars
The GOD-za trio ponders on a whimsical, hypothetical motif for their fabulous troupe.
happy 7th a3!nniversary ! ( ao3 link )
︶︶︶︶︶︶︶༉‧₊˚
And thus comes nightfall.
The entirety of Veludo Way lights up in a wink, making sure that all life shall keep moving even through the sun's temporary absence.
The star-filled expanse of the evening skies seem to invite those who happen to look up to witness its beauty from their homes to come out and admire it some more. The moon's gentle rays add the perfect touch to invoking senses of introspection and gratitude meant for such a special night like this.
Within the safety, comfort, and warmth of being indoors, Shift is quietly glued to a corner, just right by the window.
Haruto notices. The top actor's been watching the outside world go by since the moment he stepped inside his senior's apartment; with Madoka tagging along, of course.
"Wow..." Shift mumbles softly to himself, but clear enough for Haruto to perceive.
Is there something out there that he likes? If so, what is it? Could he perhaps be eyeing a little trinket being sold just across the street that he's too embarrassed to ask about? Odd. The word 'embarrassed' isn't normally partnered with Shift's name.
"Hey," Haruto speaks at last, after coming from the kitchen and helping himself onto the couch, "what's wrong? You're being too quiet, it's quite alarming."
Shift merely lets out a stifled laugh. "Don't worry Haruto-san, it's nothing," he assures his senior with a raised thumb.
"Maybe you're just hungry?" Madoka too must have heard and hence he asks; a phone remains in his hand as he returns from receiving a quick call. "The food's on its way, I think."
"Nah, I'm alright!" Shift insists, beaming with his signature smile. "Really, I am."
Haruto grunts, not so much as satisfied with Shift's minimal responses. But, regardless of how curiousーno, he's not worriedーhe is, he won't pry. This kid doesn't get a lot of chances to act his actual age in the first place. So as his respectable senior, Haruto will no longer criticize him for how he chooses to behave. (He mentally wishes for Shift to take it easy, though.) "Fine, if you say so. Just tell us immediately if you need anything, ya hear?"
"Ayeeee, sir!" The easygoing cheer in Shift's voice that Haruto and Madoka are used to hearing is now back in full effect. Finally. The two consider it a relief. (A big one, at that.)
"Uhm... If you don't mind me asking though, what exactly were you looking at?" The playwright bashfully asks. He walks over to where Shift is seated, and crouches down to his knees beside him.
Curiosity may not have overcome Haruto, but it evidently got the better of Madoka. Oh well. The youngest gladly points to the sky anyway, poking at the little twinkling lights scattered all over it.
"I see." Haruto proceeds as well to stand alongside his juniors, an arm proudly resting on his hip. "Fabulous, aren't they?"
One may think, stargazing is a common recreational activity that families and friends enjoy together on lovely, starry evenings. And it certainly is; until the 'families and friends' in question is GOD-za's famously inseparable trio. With how busy these three are individually and collectively, any supposed time to spare for leisure is rather spent either addressing matters of urgent concern and/or perfecting themselves for the utmost performances to ever grace theater's centerstage. So brief moments like this when the spinning of their worlds slow down a notch (or two), truly equates to a breath of fresh air that each of them hasn't fully realized they all needed at this point.
"Ah!" Madoka suddenly springs to his feet. As if having remembered, he hands the phone he used earlier back to Haruto. "Thank you very much."
"Anytime." He graciously accepts it. "Were you able to contact who you were planning to?"
Madoka politely nods. "I just ordered flowers for my brother."
"Oh, from the flower shop I know of?"
"That's the one!" A chuckle escapes the youngest Ikaruga sibling's lips. "I figured my brother would probably like his motif flowers as a present... Erーaside from onigiris, of course."
"Probably?" Haruto raises an eyebrow. "Madoka, he'll love anything as long as they're from you."
With a remark as such, Haruto could almost see for himself just how heartwarming this brotherly interaction will turn out when it does actually happen. The wishful smile on Madoka's face screams years and years of yearning for a family's love; something he's ever wanted, deserved, and will from now on have to get used to living with for the rest of his life. Good for him.
"Hm... Motif flowers? Mankai Company has them, right?" Shift recalls out loud, breaking the silence that once filled the room (and the mood). "If I remember correctly I think Azami has one assigned to him too!"
"All of them each have their own distinct flower. Although it also depends on the troupe they belong to, I believe." Haruto explains, as a-matter-of-fact-ly; while reclaiming his seat on the sofa. How did he know all this? Let's just say he's that keen as an observant of important details.
"Whoa!" Shift also scoots over to the center table only a couple inches away from him. "We should have flowers for us too!"
"HAH!?"
"Flowers, huh? Well, it does suit their aesthetic." Madoka considers, clutching his chin in thought. "But I'm not really sure if it's in line with GOD-za..."
"Exactly!" Haruto demands, hysterical in both word and deed. "If we're to set a motif for ourselves then it has to reflect GOD-za as a theater company. It has to accurately capture the essence of each member, not only as an employee but also as a person. It should also... And with a... But it must not..."
Amidst the pink-haired's nearly endless rattling, it's as though a lightbulb has been lit that Shift and Madoka come to what appears to be a telepathic agreement between them.
"Whimsically," Shift begins.
"Hypothetically," Madoka adds.
"Haruto-san. If you had to choose something to represent us, GOD-za, what would it be?"
Taking a sip from the cup of tea he brought with him from the kitchen a while ago, Haruto lets out a snarky sigh. "That's easy. We all know the answer to that."
"Uhm... Birthstones?" Madoka attempts a guess, despite hesitating.
"Eh. Not bad. But too predictable."
"How about our favorite food, then?" Shift also tries swinging his take around. Anyone who knows him likewise knows that he's thinking about just one type of food to assign himself to.
Haruto smacks a palm onto his forehead. "What are we, a restaurant?"
Guiding his juniors onto the same page as he is, is proving to be a much harder task than he expected. But they ought to step up their game; for Haruto's just about to show them what it looks like to be inside the realm of someone already treading the path of eternal beauty.
In one, quick swoop of his round lilac eyes towards the window, Haruto urges them to see once more, what's lies ahead from there. He witnesses a familiar fire light up in both Shift's and Madoka's gazes as they follow through not long later.
The three all share a knowing, insightful look. And without saying anything else, they all turn their heads to the sky; the fabulous answer they so seek, now presents itself gloriously before them.
"The stars!" Madoka exclaims, clearly convinced.
"OHHH!" Shift adjusts himself to view the heavens again, rightfully intrigued.
"Constellations," Haruto repeats, raising his arms up and lacing his fingers together at the back of his head, utterly fulfilled, "there is no other match."
Indeed. The evening has progressed nicely into a darker shade of the night; the moon reigning high up on her throne. And just as the stars seem to sparkle more than they ever have so far, but way before any of them could even recognize the various patterns these glistening lights form into, the food they ordered for dinner that Madoka referred to arrives at long last; pausing any and all sorts of discussion the trio's in the middle of tackling.
Haruto fills in the duty of accepting its delivery and providing payment for such. While he's away, however, mischievous Shift has a secret plan up his sleeve.
Suspiciously crawling his way towards Madoka, he whispers to him with a hoarse voice, "do you think we can talk Reni-san into this?"
"Into having our own motifs!?" Madoka's eyes turn as round as donuts in surprise. "But I thought this was only a hypotheticalー"
"Oh, c'mon. Let's try it! Just once, I promise!" Shift clasps his hands in plea. He doesn't look nor sound like he's backing down from this one any time soon.
Causing Madoka to find himself in a tight pinch. "Well... Maybe we could, butー"
"Great!!" Shift rapidly rubs his palms together. "Let's surprise Haruto-san!!"
Madoka scrambles forth into a panic. "W-Wait! I think we should talk everything out to everyone first..."
"Talk about what?"
Hearing Haruto's stern, regal presence all of a sudden leaves their insides tingling with either anxiety or excitement. Well. Actually, maybe both.
"Haruto-saaaaan!" Shift rushes to his fellow actor in a swift, carefree sprint. "We'll live up to all your expectations, just you wait and seeeee!"
Madoka scurries close after him, desperately hoping to stop him in his tracks on time. "Shift-san, noooo!"
"Haaah!?"
And thus is how the dearly adored GOD-za trio concludes their 27th of January. Loud, but fun. Unironically usual, and perfectly on brand.
Their not-so whimsical, hypothetical zodiac-based motif proposal must still undergo a rather tedious evaluation by the higher-ups, unfortunately; but in hindsight, doesn't it make total sense?
Madoka as Pisces; creative, gentle, and kind.
Haruto as Virgo; hardworking, loyal, and sympathetic.
Shift as Libra; charming, friendly, and acts as a bridge between people.
Whether or not GOD-za approves of such a gig, no thing nor person can ever take away the fact that these three are ultimately meant to be the pillars of the most fabulous theater troupe in Veludo Way.

Note
3, 17
3 - "screenshot or description of the worst take you've seen on tumblr" - commonly shared worst take but anytime someone insists that taylor swift is a wlw icon or whatever has clearly never listened to actual wlw's music.
17 - "there should be more of this type of fic/art" - a3 specific i think for this one but would love to see more messy art! rough sketches! stuff covering more heavy topics (especially grief and guilt). side eyes taichi. put him through scenarios.

Event | Ayakashi Summer Festival | Chapter 8
Tumblr media
Misumi: It’s almost time for GOD-za’s performance.
Misumi: Aren’t you gonna go meet up with all of them before the show, Madoka?
Madoka: I sent them a message on LIME, I think that’s good enough. Besides, they already told me that I didn’t have.
Tumblr media
Misumi: Eh, why?
Madoka: Because they knew I was going to spend time at the summer festival with you, Nii-san, so they told me to just have fun with you all the way up until the performance.
Misumi: I see! I’m glad that everyone in GOD-za is so nice to you, Madoka~.
Madoka: Yeah, they are really good to me.
· • —– ٠ ✤ ٠ —– • ·
Izumi: (Looks like the staff members in charge of the stage have everything good to go, time for me to go take a seat and watch GOD-za’s performance.)
Izumi: (...Ah, it’s Misumi-kun and Madoka-kun. Fufu, they look like they’re getting along so well just sitting there talking with each other.)
Izumi: (It’s nice seeing them be together in their own little world, so I’ll make sure to stay out of their way. I’ll see if there’s anywhere to sit over there.)
· • —– ٠ ✤ ٠ —– • ·
Misumi: I’m triangularly excited~! I wonder what kinda story GOD-za’s performance is gonna be~.
Misumi: Huh? What’s wrong, Madoka?
Tumblr media
Madoka: All the other troupes were so interesting on stage, so I’m just a little nervous…
Misumi: With your story and GOD-za’s acting, I’m sure everything will be okay!
Madoka: …Right. I believe in everyone, so I’ll believe in myself too. And most importantly, you believe in me, Nii-san.
Misumi: Yeah!
· • —– ٠ ✤ ٠ —– • ·
Raiju: “…”
Izumi: (A raiju is looking down on the ground from up in the sky…)
Raiju: “...I’ve had my eye on that big mountain for a while now…”
Raiju: “He’s always sitting in that spot all by himself…”
Nekomata: “…”
*Thunder*
Nekomata: “Hm, thunder… Is it going to rain?”
*Louder thunder*
Tumblr media
Nekomata: “Uwha.”
Raiju: “Phew…”
Nekomata: “…? What are you? A dog?”
Raiju: “What did you say? I’m a raiju, not a dog!”
Nekomata: “Hmph, what are you doing here?”
Raiju: “I was looking at this place from up above, and I took a liking to this spacious, high mountain that’s completely free of humans.”
Raiju: “However, why are there no humans?”
Nekomata: “Because I scared, threatened, and drove all the people who were living here away.”
Raiju: “Why?”
Nekomata: “It doesn’t matter why because it’s not any of your business.”
Raiju: “Hmmm. …Well, whatever, I like it here, so give me this mountain.”
Nekomata: “I’ll have to decline.”
Raiju: “Then I’ll just have to stay here until you give me the mountain.”
Nekomata: “What a pain. I’m still not giving you the mountain. If you really want to stay, be my guest.”
· • —– ٠ ✤ ٠ —– • ·
Raiju: “Hey, hey.”
Nekomata: “Shut up and stop following me around!”
Raiju: “C’mon, don’t be like that. What are you going to have for dinner? What do you usually do for food around here?”
Raiju: “Hey, hey, do you catch fish in that river or something?”
Nekomata: “Ugh, stop bothering me already…! If it’ll make you shut up, then fine, I’ll answer your questions!”
· • —– ٠ ✤ ٠ —– • ·
Raiju: “Hey, why do you always sit in the same spot?”
Tumblr media
Nekomata: “...Before I became a nekomata… I was just a normal cat.”
Nekomata: “And the person who was my owner then slept there.”
Raiju: “...I didn’t realize.”
Izumi: (The nekomata tells the raiju about his past…)
Izumi: (Even though the nekomata was annoyed by the raiju at first, he eventually becomes more comfortable around him and begins to open up…)
Nekomata: “…? What?”
Raiju: “I’m sensing something bad…”
Nekomata: “Sensing something… Humans? Looks like they’ve come to take the mountain back.”
Raiju: “Way to go, Kitty. You’ve got good ears.”
Raiju: “Hmph, let’s kick these humans back to where they came from. Thunderbolt…!”
Nekomata: “Stop! You’re going to hurt them!”
Raiju: “Gh!? Why…? Aren’t you the one who drove them off this mountain in the first place?”
Nekomata: “...When I was just a normal cat, my owner and their neighbors always treated me kindly. I loved them all.”
Nekomata: “So I don’t want them to get hurt and I don’t want them to die either.”
Nekomata: “...The reason why I drove all the humans off this mountain was because I was incredibly distraught because my owner had just died…”
Nekomata: “Humans die too quickly. I just didn’t want to have to go through saying goodbye like that again.”
Tumblr media
Raiju: “You…”
Raiju: “...I see. I don’t know what that feels like, but I respect your feelings.”
Izumi: (The two of them try to hide so as to not be found by the humans arriving on the mountain. However, they are unfortunately found.)
Nekomata: “I’m the one the humans are after. I’ll act as bait and you make a run for it!”
Human A: “You greedy nekomata! Give us back the mountain!”
Human B: “You’re the one who drove us off of the mountain!”
*Blade slashes*
Nekomata: “Uugh!!”
*Arrows fire*
Izumi: (The nekomata is captured by the humans and assaulted with their weapons.)
Raiju: “I’ll never forgive those bastards…! Time to take things into my own hands! …But the humans… Shit.”
Izumi: (The raiju makes a move to attack the humans to save the nekomata, but remember the nekomata’s words, he holds back.)
Raiju: “How can you possibly love people who are doing such terrible things to you? How do you not want to hurt them…?”
Raiju: “Goddamnit…!”
Raiju: “I’ll just have to do things my own way…!”
Izumi: (The raiju decides to use thunder as a way to scare the humans into leaving.)
Izumi: (The raiju’s feelings towards the nekomata are well expressed.)
Raiju: “Nekomata! C’mon, Nekomata! I’ll save you, I promise…!”
Nekomata: “...I’m handing… This mountain… Over to you…”
Raiju: “…Gh.”
Nekomata: “This mountain is full of memories of me and my owner… Take good care of it…”
Raiju: “I will… I’ll protect it with my life.”
Nekomata: “…”
Izumi: (The nekomata watched as the raiju nodded before taking his last breath…)
Raiju: “...Snf… I c-couldn’t save you… I wish I had a little more time with you…”
Tumblr media
Raiju: “Uuh… Uueh… AAGHHH!”
*Applause*

Misumi: Your story was really good, Madoka~! I knew I’d love this one, just like all the other stories you’ve written!
Madoka: Nii-san… Thank you.
Misumi: No problem! Ah, it’s almost time for me to go get ready to go on stage.
Misumi: It was only a little bit of time, but it was a lotta fun going around the festival with you, Madoka!
Tumblr media
Madoka: I had fun too.
Misumi: Ehehe, I’m glad~! Well then, I’m off!
Madoka: I’ll be watching MANKAI’s performance from here, so break a leg.
Misumi: Yeah, I’ll act my hardest! Make sure to get excited for our play~!
Misumi: (...I’m really glad that I get to meet up with Madoka and talk normally like this again. It’s really fun!)

I think act 1 is still my favorite bec it's iconic but also bec Taichi's issue was essentially the antithesis to the story values which are with hardwork and dedication and support even if you're absolute shit at what you're doing your passion will shine thru and that will triumph natural talent everytime BUT w Taichi he WAS hardworking and he WAS dedicated king had enthusiasm thru the ROOF and he still didn't have good stage presence which ultimately made his average skills but at least not poor skills more useless than the characters who had never even acted before. Of course he thinks there's something fundamentally wrong with him at his core, this issue isn't just with stage presence it's his entire life and LOOK AROUND in a3's world there's supposed to be some kind pay off for dedication look at spring none of them had really acted for shit before then and everything just works out or even characters like muku & juza who are exactly the thesis of a3's message. If everything works out like that in a3's world, no wonder he doesn't understand why HIS hardwork doesn't pay off!!!!! What is HE doing wrong??? What's wrong with him specifically out of everyone else???? Why is everyone else's simple passion enough to make them good actors, but not his????? What is wrong with him????

⚠️EYE STRAIN WARNING⚠️
The angel of death is not a figure you want to see while tripping balls. To be fair you don't want to see him period but seeing him while on drugs would be a truly horrendous sight. 6 wings, too many eyes, long hair and antlers that frame a featureless face that seems to shift and twist unnaturally.
Fun fact this Philza drawing gives him 36 total eyes because I just felt like it. And yes I did count.
Anyways this was made in Wilbur's merch store paint feature then cleaned up a LOT in Clip Studio paint. Gave myself the aim to use all the colors on the palette and I think I managed to do that successfully!
Just putting some extra space here so you have time to lower your brightness before looking at it. Keep your eyes safe!

a call from home
Reni receives a sudden call at midnight.
for god-za's fabulous director ! ( ao3 link )
Tumblr media
A quarter 'til midnight. The night is quiet, the windows fully draped with curtains swaying slightly to the gentle evening breeze. The only sources of illumination visible to Reni's eyes are those from the faintly glowing moon, its twinkling stars, and the tiniest lightbulbs slowly flickering on and off that decorate the whole town with the spirit of Christmas.
Reni leans a little further back into his seat; legs crossed and fingers entwined altogether across his chest.
This isn't the first time he's spent the holiday season away from home. Earlier this week, GOD-za opens their annual string of Christmas-themed performances. It's an event he swore to oversee until the end, and never miss. But as the General Director of the most fabulous theater company in Veludo Way, one of his utmost duties is to meet up with important people and negotiate potential sponsorships effective hopefully at the beginning of the following year. He can't let any opportunity like this to pass. Especially if it's for the future legacy of GOD-za.
"Although," Reni wistfully says, "it does get a bit lonely sometimes."
Reni glances down at his wristwatch; and a defeated sigh slips through his lips.
It's that time of the year again and his age is gradually getting the better of him. Too bad there isn't anything he can do to actually address having to feel this way, every once in a while. It's just the nature of people. Humans, he believes. The older they grow, the more attached they are towards each other, and thus the more difficult it gets to live apart from them.
Reminiscing about the past, his growthーtheir growth, and what the future could possibly look like, all comes to a sudden pause when a familiar sound reaches his ears.
Reni looks back from over his shoulder. It's his phone. It's ringing.
"Who in the world would decide to contact me at such a terrible time?" He wonders aloud.
Internally wishing for it to stop, the ringtone soon halts just as he likes. But not even a few seconds after did it start ringing back to life; prompting Reni to finally rise from his lovely seat by the overlooking view of the balcony window, and pick up.
Little did he expect a smile to appear on his face upon pressing the green 'answer call' button, though.
"Reni-saaaaan!" It's Shift.
"Hey, Shift!" That's Haruto's voice. "Have some manners when greeting people on the phone!"
Reni swallows a lump that formed in his throat. "It's alright, Haruto."
"Butー"
"We're so sorry for calling so late at night!" Madoka chimes in, worry filling every inch of his tone.
"All of you, calm down." Reni could almost feel his head throb. (He places a hand up to his temple, just in case.) "What brings the three of you together?"
"Oh, we wanted to surprise you!" Shift cheerfully answers.
Reni raises an eyebrow. "Surprise me? What for?"
"W-Well, it's supposed to be a special day for Reni-san so..." Madoka stammers.
"Ugh," Reni could recognize that groan from anywhere, any time. "Both of you, move aside."
With a quick clear of his throat, Haruto formally reveals their plan to the world.
To surprise Reni-san with an unannounced call and greet him a 'happy birthday!' when the clock strikes 12 on the 23rd of the month.
"We thought you might feel less lonely when you hear us," Shift admits.
"A-Although I think we could've waited until morning...?" Madoka still sounds skeptic.
It takes a good moment for the celebrant to fully grasp what 'the plan' is about. Reni blinks. Once. Twice. Since when, exactly, did they have this much time to spare? Didn't he leave them with a lot of urgent matters to keep their attention focused on?
"What about closing night? Have you all completed the preparations for that? And tickets! Have they sold out yet?" He had to hold himself back from shooting a dozen more questions in one breath.
"All fifty-six checklists done and gone, sir," Haruto reports. "I've already informed production of the precautions if in case anythingーlights, sounds, set, costumes, ticket selling evenーstrays away from what we originally planned."
"Readthroughs went flawlessly. We'll have a few more runs, from start to finish, early tomorrow morning," Madoka adds. "Well, later today, actually."
"My co-stars and I have Madoka's scripts memorized! Lines, entrances and exits, even adlibs, you name it!" Shift proudly says. "Haruto-san made sure to drill all that into our minds and hearts."
"There's nothing to worry about, Reni-san. We have everything under control," the trio says in unison.
Breathless. Reni couldn't believe his ears. Sure, he already knows these three are built off of a different caliber than the rest. But seeing such individual geniuses work so perfectly in-sync together is beyond anything he ever asked for; even beyond what he's ever done, he thinks. A dream turned absolute reality, if he may.
"So I basically lost my job at GOD-za," Reni ponders im awe.
A pause. He could've heard a pin drop if the three hadn't sternly, immediately objected with a loud and clear "NO!" in complete unison (again).
"I kid," Reni chuckles to himself. "Good work out there, everyone."
A sigh of relief, from both ends of the line. It seems so long ago, since GOD-za has felt this... peaceful. Secured. Fabulous.
"Isn't it about time you three tell me what you've been meaning to tell me? The main reason why you called."
"Oh, right." Shift urges his two seniors in his signature whispered-screaming voice. "On three, you guys!"
"Okay!" Madoka agrees in a quite forceful mumble of his own.
"Hah?" Haruto seems to have lightly smacked his forehead with his palm in defeat. "Fine, fine. Here goes..."
One...
Two...
Threeー
"Happy birthday, Reni-san!"
"Heh. Thank you." Reni moves his free hand just above his heart. "I knew I could always count on you three.
"Now if you'll excuse me, I have a meeting I must attend to."
"At this hour!?" Haruto shrieks.
Reni nods. "Indeed. Take note, Haruto. You'll be taking over my shoes, some day."
"U-Understood!" The pinkhead obediently complies.
"Please do rest immediately after, Kamikizaka-san," Madoka advices.
"Yeah! And we'll celebrate properly when you get back!" Shift declares.
"Alright, alright." Reni finally bids them farewell. "I have to go now. See you, then."
As the call ends, Reni puts his phone face down onto his lap. He allows his eyes the luxury to look outside once more, and there he notices, that the world does seem even prettier than before.
Now, GOD-za's general director can rest assured, that the future is truly in good hands.
