The nuzzles he received in return helped soothe his mind for a while, and he’d smile and churr deeply when the nibbles upon his snout were given, as he lets the tip of his tongue poke out as he gently licks Mothra’s fluff in return. “... Physically, no, my Beloved Sky. I am fine. Achim’s forces offered great resistance, but we all managed to combine our strength and take it down. Silas and MECH dealt with him in person, while me and some other Titans took down his base.”
“However... King Caesar was injured during the assault. He did his best to shield us from an energy weapon on the base, but he had the left side of his face injured as a result.” upon reminiscing that detail, the King’s expression drooped slowly, his eyes averting themselves from Mothra, and a soft, barely audible whine escaped his throat. He still felt guilty about that.

hi uhm, this chapter is ALOT <3
4 | Appearances
TW’s are in this chapter so uh yip (I’m putting the cut thingy)
Several Years Later
Summer was back in bloom, and there were hardly anymore kids being born. The adults were nervous now that Mothra had been left to live with her marking, as if it was really her fault.
Though, everyday she felt like she was going to pay for that mark. Her father made sure of that.
"Cursed child!" Azar screamed, hitting her with his wings into the floor. "It's your fault that your mother left!" He continued. Mothra winced, her head tilting upward to see her father. She had bruises on her knees, hands, and elbows all the time, a constant pain.
Azar soon left, leaving her alone in the nest again. That's how everyday began and the pain level was different, sometimes it was an easy pain she could get over but other days it was much worse.
Today was a much worse day, but she picked herself off the floor anyways. Mothra brushed off the dust from her wings, letting them expand and shimmer in the morning sun.
Once she bandaged herself up with vines and leaves, she took in the fresh summer air. A gentle reminder that she was still alive despite her not knowing the reason.
The other kids looked at her strangely as she walked past. She didn't mind, or at least that's what she told herself, she had become accustomed to this way of life. She was the only Daku-Moth left until the next mating season.
Mothra kept walking to the beach, finding Saki already waiting for her. Saki and her had been collect herbs and shells on the beach for months, the elder had said it was for the gods or something.
Mothra didn't understand it much but she knew she was related to them through her mother. "Good morning," Saki said happily, giving her a smile.
"Morning," Mothra muttered, taking a silk-like bag from Saki and putting it around her waist. Saki noticed her bandages but said nothing. Every morning, Saki thought.
"Come along, we have much to do," Saki murmured as she led the way. Mothra obliged, shuffling her way across the sand.
It was always quiet in the beginning of their day, though sooner or later, they'd find something to talk about.
Mothra plucked the herbs from the trees,  select few withering away in her hand— much to her dismay. "Curses," she muttered.
Saki looked over, "Are you alright?"
Mothra groaned, rubbing her face. "No, the herbs keep burning up in my hand," she then kicked the sand.
"How much have you collected?"
"Five herbs, the rest are withering," Mothra replied. Saki took off a few more herbs from the tree then placed them in the basket attached to her waist. The elder turned and walked over, grabbing Mothra's hands. "Miss Saki—"
"—Look," Saki stated. Mothra was confused, staring blankly at the moth in front of her.  "You don't wither away the people you care about, that's the extent of your power." Saki released Mothra's hands, "Extend that side to the plants, you want the herbs to heal us and make the gods happy right?"
Mothra hummed in response, "Good, so then, try it." Saki ordered. Mothra turned her attention back to the plants before her, reaching her hand out and focused all of the care and kindness she had her heart to go to her hands.
She slowly plucked the herbs again, finally able to retrieve several at a time. Mothra gasped and smiled, "Saki! Do you see—"
"—Focus child," she replied, not giving Mothra the attention she wanted. Regardless, Mothra went back to work happily.
Saki sighed, smiling a little at Mothra (unbeknownst to her, of course) as she continued to collect the herbs. Though, as she started doing this, her mind began to wander to a talk from a few days ago.
.
.
"So, Saki, how is she?" Kenji asked, sitting on a grassy bed before her.
"I assume she's fine, besides the scars her father leaves her," Saki muttered. Kenji nodded in acknowledgment, "Her powers are growing but I feel as though they're changing as well."
Kenji leaned forward, "Changing?"
Saki signed, placing her hands on her lap. She shifted uncomfortably on her own bed. "Well, it seems that her power affects things she doesn't have a care for— plants and shells, the thing we wanted her to collect while we figure out what he want her to truly do," Saki rubbed the back of her neck. "However, I've noticed that when it comes to me or Aspen, her power doesn't affect us and I don't believe it has anything to do with us being Akari's children," Saki concluded as her gaze fell on the elder.
Kenji took in this information carefully, unsure of how to use it. "Thank you, Saki. I'll keep it in mind."
.
.
Saki shook her head, and focused on anything else besides whatever fate Mothra may face. It didn't stop though.
Once Saki was frustrated enough, she sat down the basket. "Let's take a break," she told Mothra.
"Oh? Okay, it's kind of early though," Mothra murmured but she sat down on the sand with Saki. "Everything alright?" She asked.
Saki chuckled, "I should be asking you that question," she whispered.
Mothra looked down at her bandages for a moment and turned her head away. "It's nothing," she muttered.
Saki sighed and carefully grabbed the younger moths forearm, unwrapping her bandages. A golden string crept around Mothra's arms then to the rest of her body, healing her wounds.
"Thanks," Mothra whispered, not looking at Saki out of embarrassment. "We should get back to work," she stated as she stood up.
Saki winced, How can she keep her head up so high? She thought and joined her as they collected shells and herbs.
𑁍
As Mothra walked around the main gathering area, she noticed the trees beginning to glow and dance in the wind. Midnight, she said, glancing up at the moon.
Everyone was gathered in this place tonight after they had received news of a mass die off of Kaiju in the most recent battle against the MUTO army.
As far as Mothra knew, it seemed like everyone was at war with the MUTOs— no matter how far you were. You weren't safe.
Aspen poked at her arm, "Are you alright?"
"Huh? Oh, yes. I'm quite fine, come on," Mothra replied as she led the way to her spot with her father. Aspen and his family always stood with them, it was the only time her father didn't want a hit or scream at her.
Tonight was about prayers and showing the gods that they needed aid, and that the people of the war were in danger if the gods didn't step in.
Divine Moths were always known for their songs and when they would sing, it seemed like nature responded to their calls with lights and calls of its own.
Mothra scratched her arm nervously, continuing to sing along with all them. Something didn't feel right, then again, most days didn't feel right.
She glanced up at the sky momentarily, sensing a weird presence in the air. The sky flickered and changed color, it wasn't black but rather a purplish-blue.
When she looked down, the ground beneath resembled glass. The people around her didn't reflect in the glass, only her as she stood with her father.
All in an instant, the purple-hued sky and glass-like flooring disappeared and returned to its natural view.
What was that? Mothra questioned, trying to focus back on the song. She saw Aspen glancing over at her, and it made her anxiety bubble in her stomach more. Focus, don't get caught acting out. She reminded. Aspen turned back to the tree.
The song picked up as a white light formed at the base of Aethymia tree, which was the Divine Moths best connection for contacting the gods. It looked like a wisteria willow but its power was much greater than its twin.
The voices went silence as a white mist floated in front of them all. Mothra's eyes landed on it, and suddenly her ears rang loudly. The sky flashed purple again, doing it over and over again— making her eyes shut tightly.
"Don't fear me," a voice told her. "Relax in my presence."
Mothra gasped quietly, "it's that voice again— is the mist you?" She knew she had telepathic abilities but didn't they'd help with her speaking to a spirit.
"Gatix! We come praying for the lives lost and the lives suffering in the wars destroying grasp!" yelled an elder, who happened to be directly in front of the mist on his knees.
Gatix? Mothra questioned in her mind as she watched the mist form into a moth. She was much larger than them anyone there, standing on two legs just like the Akari-Moths and Mothra— the last Daku-Moth.
The elders were all quiet. "Your prayers are heard," it was a deeper feminine voice than the normal ones Mothra heard daily.
"Mother, please have mercy on all of us," another elder murmured.
The glowing white moth twitched, the soft grey-blue eyes shifting momentarily to Mothra (or at least she thought) and then back to the elders.
"Mercy comes at a price, for you must watch your tongue and remember why you are here," Gatix replied. The elders all turned to each other in confusing. "Farewell," was all she said after.
The elders and everyone else watched as she disappeared, all confused and looking around in either fright or wonder.
Mothra glanced up at the sky again, it faded back to black and amongst the stars, she saw a white butterfly flying away.
"Will I be okay?" Mothra asked the goddess, understanding that telepathy was the best form of communication.
"Trust me," Gatix paused, "you'll be fine."
Everyone slowly began leaving and Mothra didn't hear the voice anymore. It seemed a heavy shock and disappointment hung over the crowd.
Aspen gingerly walked off with his family, which left Mothra alone with her father.
"Father?"
Azar turned to her, a scowl on his face. "What?"
"May I stay here a little longer?" Mothra was trying her best to remain polite and calm, but she had the feeling her father wanted to smack her.
"Fine, but be quick and come home when you're done," Azar replied as he walked off.
Mothra waited by the Aethyemia tree until everyone was gone. The silent night falling over her and the world.
She hopped down from the small cobblestone stage that had been built around the base and stood before the tree and its swaying leaves.
"I know you left but maybe you could come back?" Mothra murmured, her purple wings gleaming beneath the glow of the tree. "I used to think you didn't exist, I mean they spoke of you in folktales but I never thought..." Mothra's voice trailed off.
What was the point?
Did she have one?
Why would a god speak to her?
Mothra sighed, hanging her head. "I don't know why you spoke to me, but I'm sure you have your reasons my lady," she spoke.
"Oh, she did," said a male voice behind her. Mothra whipped around and saw a moth similar to her, much taller and darker. "Hello, Mothra."
"How do— Who are you?" She muttered, backing up into the stone stage.
"You don't know your grandfather?"
"Eep!" Mothra jumped and flapped her wings, moving far enough between the both of the moths. An Akari-Moth stood on the stage, she was bigger as well and definitely brighter than anyone else she had seen.
Her wings had orange and yellow ascents, a few blue colors thrown into the mix. "Then again, you were so young," the male said.
Mothra combed through her mind, trying to remember anything her mother could have said. But nothing came up.
"You know your faction types correct?" The girl asked, and Mothra nodded. "Well then, you're off to a great start! I am Akari: goddess of life, the sun, prophecies, healing, and the list goes on!" Akari said with a giggle and a flicker of her wings.
The darker moth sighed, "Akari is also your grandmother, like me— your grandfather. I am Daku: god of death, the moon, and I'm sure the rest you know."
Mothra's gaze kept running between the two. "My grandparents? On my mother's side?"
"Yes," Daku replied, folding his arms. "Gods, you really don't know much."
Mothra nodded, "I can agree with that. Though, why did you both show up now?"
Akari sat down on the stage, "Well, life as a god is busy." She stated as she stretched out her wings. "But we wished to see you, and since Gatix showed herself— We thought we might as well."
Mothra smiled a little, glancing up at the sky once again and noticing that it changed briefly. Akari and Daku seemed to notice her actions.
“Gatix was right,” Akari said telepathically to her soulwing.
Daku shook out his wings a little, "I know, but what if she gets hurt worse?" He relief.
"She can handle it, or at least that's what Gatix said," Akari replied. The moth then slid off the stage, and stood a few inches away from Mothra. She opened her arms and wings as if she was ready to receive a hug. Daku did the same. Then, they waited.
Mothra titled her head. "What am I supposed to do?"
"Hug us silly! Which ever one you feel closest to!" Akari chirped, giggling softly.
"Can I hug you both? I've never seen you two before and... I know mom would want me to hug you both." Mothra stated, her wings folding around her torso.
Akari and Daku glanced up at each other, then slowly came to Mothra and put their arms around her. Akari's forehead pressed against the left side of Mothra's head, meanwhile Daku's forehead pressed against the right.
For once, Mothra felt warm inside and she felt safe within their arms. It's almost like she could fall asleep within their presence or she could do whatever she wished with them nearby.
"Goodnight, Mosura." Their voices intertwined. It was sweet and she wanted to stay like this forever.

Mothra in TWST?
I keep thinking about specific TWST crossovers that are most definitely lacking in content.
Imagine if Mothra was in twisted wonderland? Except there's no Yuu here.
Tumblr media
She would have to take Yuu's place so somehow, Grimm was made to be the first even monster to be accepted as a student at NRC.
Who would be her shobijin? Perhaps Ace and Deuce would be in that position as she would form a connection with them when she saves them from the blot monster at the Dwarf Mines.
She would be considered as the two boys' familiar by the headmaster but Mothra being so benevolent, she would have to help the boys stop the overblots.
Feel free to discuss with me about this.

monster iwa…. is rewiring my brain chemistry
oh sem. my queen, you have awakened my little godzilla/mothra = iwaizumi/reader heart. i will now enter a feral unhinged state - i take no responsibility for what is about to happen.
tw: hybrids, monsterfucking, breeding mention, size kink, “just the tip”. minors/ageless blogs dni
godzilla type hybrid!iwa, a monster man with these huge muscular, gray-scaled arms and claws, sharp teeth, a long, heavy tail and back spines. still with that handsome face, a head of dark-brown hair and cold green-grey eyes that bore down on you. he’s so big
has a downright possessive love for his queen - a good-hearted little thing - mostly human but with fuzzy hair, bright eyes and precious moth wings.
he groans and curses and roars - a grumpy protector - but alway simmers down into a loud, comforting purr when he wraps his tail and huge body around you.
he doesn’t quite get what your chirps and cries are about while his slippery, long, blue tongue penetrates you but he doesn’t mind too much.
“have to prep you, little lady. st’p trying to close yer legs! i’m not gonna hurt my lovely queen. just gonna eat you up…”
and he does. :(
eats your fat little pussy like a man starved - huge claws breaking into the nest he’s made below you so they don’t tear into your thick thighs instead.
monster!iwa has no technique, he doesn’t need any. :(
has a tongue so long it slobbers on your clit while reaching deep, deep inside your walls.
a constant squelchsquelchsquelch and unceasing suckling noises echo around as he only takes breaks to say “sweetest fuckin’ pussy,” “that’s m’ goddess - stretch nice and wide…” before spitting on the overstimulated bundle of nerves and starting again.
you must’ve cum four times by the time he stops, wings, antennae and body twitching and twittering barely able to make a coherent noise - pussy lips still convulsing after minutes on end.
monster!iwa is so big you can feel him deep, deep in your tummy when he thrusts his cock in.
promises to start with the tip but your gummy walls are so addictive, so sweet and drippy around his bulbous tip that he can’t resist and lets out a choked roar as he bottoms out inside you.
*sniffle* trying to grip the hardened scales on his shoulders. :((
trying to kick or fly or do something, anything to get the pressure out because it’s so fat inside you but you’re immobilized - by his weight on top of you, his tail wrapping behind you - pulling you into him
his monstrous, long tongue delving inside your mouth forcing you to suck on the slippery muscle as your pussy sucks in his cock ☹️
the obscene sounds your little cunt makes reverberate around the room, mingling with high-pitched whines and breathless moans
“that’s my pretty little moth. my cute little queen.” he smirks, practically able to see the thoughts leave your brain; there’s nothing but him, him, him
and fuck, you’re so small. so delicate. chubby and soft with the most beautiful wing and eyes. gone is your usual bubbly smile - just your perfect lips letting out tiny gasps.
he growls like an animal when you mutter, barely coherent.
“look ‘t me. look ‘t your king - open your eyes and say it louder.”
and so you do, because he’s the king of the monsters and he’s filling you too well for you to disobey.
“wan’ your eggs hajime, pleaseeee - wan’ your babies!”
and he bares his sharp teeth with a vicious smirk at the thought of you heavy with his hybrid heir, breasts milky and full - your plump little form unable to do anything ‘cept waddle ‘nd cry for your big kaiju husband to help you. ☹️
of your plump little form unable to do anything ‘cept waddle ‘nd cry for your big kaiju husband to help you. ☹️
oh, he’s addicted.

So, Godzilla X Mothra as a Monsterverse movie, hmm...
Well, I got a lot of replies to the big comic saying that they’d like to hear my pitch for a GxM movie. So, here you go!
The film should be, at its core, of the romance genre variety. For both the kaiju and the human sub-plots. The overarching theme should not only be the Monsterverse’s usual “natural balance” motif, but also that of loving one another despite our differences and flaws, or perhaps because of them.
After all, “If you love a person, you accept the total person. With all the defects. Because those defects are a part of the person.”
Obviously, Godzilla and Mothra are at the center of the kaiju side of the story. Big G is still patrolling for rogue titans while Mothra has made residence in Indonesia. Monarch returns with Madison Russell trying to prove her worth as a part of it. However, not only is her stubborn attitude grating on everyone, but her head is in a whirlwind because of Mothra’s newest ambassador: A good-natured and pacifistic young lady her age native to where the big bug titan lives. She and this newcomer (we’ll call her Lora for simplicity’s sake) are a mirror to Godzilla and Mothra. Also, Bernie and Trapper should return because there was NO way they weren’t having eyes for each other in the last movie.
As for our two kaiju, their relationship hits a snag when a new titan shows up with an uncanny resemblance to Mothra. And yes, this will be the Monsterverse’s answer to Battra (we’ll call him that here from now on). Battra is something of an older brother to Mothra, and the two have a very strong connection. Unfortunately, Battra’s way of handling protecting the Earth runs counter to how Godzilla does it (as in, wipe out human settlements and attack titans for the most minor of infractions), and Big G tries to handle it the only way he knows how (ie, beating him to death). But not only is Battra much stronger than he lets on (complete with an ability to control plant life), but Mothra intervenes on her ancestor’s side out of familial loyalty (she’s unaware of Battra killing people at this point), causing the king and queen to come to blows until she and Battra emerge victorious, driving Godzilla away.
This turns out to be a really bad move, as Battra is determined to wipe out humanity, believing them to be a scourge that Mothra foolishly trusted. Mothra doesn’t realize her mistake until Battra wipes out an entire village for the crime of being near a forest. She tries to stop him, but nearly gets killed before retreating.
Monarch’s main goal throughout the film is to reunite Godzilla and Mothra, requiring them to look high and low for clues to how this unique symbiotic relationship came to be. A major stop is the Hollow Earth Iwi tribe, which shows how the two met in the first place, and gives Jia a chance to enter the narrative. As time goes by, Madison and Lora’s relationship goes from “unstoppable force meets immovable object” to them finding common ground, and eventually falling in love. It’s them that enables Monarch to hatch a plan. With the help of Jia, and Madison’s mastery of the ORCA, they set Godzilla and Mothra up to meet again. Of course, they’re all rather surprised to see Godzilla so thoroughly heartbroken and ashamed of himself that he submits to her like any titan would to him. But as Jia translates Mothra’s thoughts, the insect Goddess and her king make up for each other’s faults.
Soon, it’s Godzilla and Mothra vs. Battra. But it’s not easy, as Battra has mastery over the elements, giving him an advantage over Godzilla by summoning giant plants to ensnare and attack him. Mothra gets in a lot of good hits, but in the end, it’s a combination attack from king and queen that destroys Battra’s wings, and reduces him to harmlessness. To show how much he trusts his queen, Godzilla allows him to live and Mothra to decide his fate. She ultimately has him confined to the same place she lives so that he has familial company. It ultimately ends with Godzilla and Mothra resting at the area where they first met, as Monarch watches from a safe distance with Madison and Lora sharing their first kiss. At least one person, probably Bernie, states that it’s the best double date ever.

So while watching Godzilla x Kong I heard voices in my head for the Kaiju despite them not talking and here’s what they sound like
Kong: Ron Perlman. I think it’s because Ron Perlman was Optimus Primal in ROTB despite not being used much. But Kong sounds like him.
Godzilla: Keith David. He sounds like Spawn Keith David. Once he saw Kong in Egypt the line “I warned you, you fat piece of shit” rung out in my head.
Suko: Whoever voices Mikayla Van Buren in MPGIS. I saw him and thought “Jesus Christ is that a fucking gremlin ?!?” and he looks like the type to respond “No I’m a third grader !” just don’t feed that fucking thing after midnight
Mothra: Whoever voiced Ponyo’s mom. Mothra just had that beautiful goddess energy Ponyo’s mom had and when she smacked that wind towards Godzilla it was almost like she was telling him to calm himself. In a harsh yet gentle way. And it could work for both English and Japanese voices too.
Skar King: Brad Garrett when he’s doing his Lobo voice because when he voices Lobo his voice is prime asshole voice and I love it.

additionally i think its funny that in the Godzilla-verse Kaiju have a SORT OF pseudo-scientific aspect to them, like theyre animals or aliens or whatever and they MIGHT be sapient, or at least thinking beings, while in Ultraman theyre just like "fuckin. yeah whatever. This Kaiju is a drawing that came to life. this one is two meteors and isnt from this dimension. that one is the ghost of a warlock. whatever, i dont give a shit. Specium ray"
Godzilla and pals are so fun because they're this blending of sci-fi tropes and, like Shinto and folk religion beliefs about nature spirits, and the two are so thoroughly mixed together that despite media trying to tell you they're incompatible, you really can't separate those elements and keep the characters whole. Godzilla is both a radioactive mutant dinosaur and an ancient sea dragon god whose wrath has been raised by humanity's mistreatment of his natural domain. Mothra is a bug magnified by radiation like the ants from Them! and a goddess of rebirth and salvation. Ghidorah is a space alien and a multi-headed dragon of the apocalypse. They're myths both ancient and modern, melded together, it's wonderful.
And Ultraman's rogues gallery is fun because they can be literally fucking anything, from time-lost dinosaurs to space aliens to a kid's drawings come to life. It's wonderful.

Kinda disappointed with the official Shin Ghidorah, which is just regular Ghidorah but with a 'creepier' face like Shin Goji's. Because I always saw the design philosophy behind Shin Godzilla, and by extension any hypothetical Shin counterparts for other Kaiju, to be going back to the basics; Taking the original core idea behind a monster, and amplifying it.
Godzilla is an allegory for nuclear destruction and in some stories was created by radiation, so naturally Shin Godzilla is an irradiated mutant in constant agony over its transformation, whose final form resembles a black mushroom cloud.
So Shin Ghidorah for me should be more along the lines of... A radiant, cosmic alien god. Something so bright and overwhelming in its light that it's like facing the sun itself. A creature from the cosmos, representing one of the most powerful aspects of it. I hate to admit it, but something like the anime trilogy Ghidorah is more in lines with what I'm thinking of.
Shin Mothra would lean into the motherly guardian of nature vibes, while also embracing the fact that she's a magical girl kaiju. She's a beautiful goddess, her presence is comforting, may as well make her extra fluffy. She's easily the most conventionally good of all the monsters.
Some Shin counterparts could be more along what we got with Shin Godzilla; Shin Hedorah seems very straightforward. I also like to think of Shin Gigan, who is this reanimated, cyborg frankenstein's monster that constantly gets torn apart, only to come back each time, even more cybernetic. A creature taken apart and put back together, several times over, constantly losing itself as it gradually becomes more mechanical, a Theseus' ship. A creature that simply isn't allowed to die, its corpse pumped full of adrenaline, its heart and brain jump started, until it comes back wrong. So like Shin Godzilla, a suffering creature tormented by human technology. Gigan’s agony ramps up until it suddenly goes silent, indicating that last problematic bit of its soul has been replaced.
I wonder if a Shin Destoroyah might be reimagined as a plant monster, or some other type of organism that doesn't require oxygen to survive; Given it's to the Oxygen Destroyer what Godzilla is to the nuke, Shin Destoroyah should constantly be, well, destroying oxygen. Every living thing dependent on that is automatically suffocating just being in its presence.
Shin Jet Jaguar? A colorful tokusatsu superhero, Gurren Lagann mecha, and Pacific Rim jaeger rolled into one. Just lean into the corny cheesiness, that goofy and charismatic grin. Shin King Caesar is an ancient stone deity, a shisa statue brought to life. He’s a mythological protector who strikes fear into the hearts of evil. Gorosaurus is meant to be the biggest, baddest dinosaur ever, when a T-rex isn't enough to threaten Kong anymore. And given the dinosaurs in King Kong represent the return of the prehistoric past, Shin Gorosaurus would be like the Indominus Rex, in that it's designed to lean into all of the stereotypical cool factors of dinosaurs for kids.

Well, the kaiju ship I ship most is Mothollante, but everyone’s already given their thoughts on that so yeah. Has a lot of the pros of Mothzilla with few of the cons, as well as the wonderful aesthetic of a genetically-engineered abomination and a goddess of nature. There’s also the obligatory puns about flowers and butterflies, and Mothra-based hurt/comfort and fluff which is one of my favorite kaiju fan plots.
Mothzilla’s… alright when handled in a certain way, but it’s a “the ship is fine but why is it everywhere” type of thing. And with the MonsterVerse especially, their relationship is better if it’s platonic. All in all, I don’t really ship it, unless a particular person’s take leans to the “humanity’s sins and nature’s virtues” aspect of both of them.
Gong’s pretty good. Tired old men being tired together.
Rodorah’s pure arson and anarchy and I value it for that, but no way is that dynamic anything approaching healthy. I ship it for the lolz.
I’ve jokingly shipped Legion from Gamera and Destroyah together before. Two big buff arthropod ladies.
Angzilla has the same benefits as Gong, really, but with more Showa craziness. I find Kongzillra to be a funny threesome, esp. because GvK would have been over in ten minutes if Mothra was there to slap some sense into Goji, to calm Kong down, and to alert the humans to Mechagoji/Ghidorah.
2MUTO is the kaiju ship I like second most, it gets points for being the only canon kaiju couple I can think of outside of the two OG Rodans, and also because I just love the MUTOs in general. Fr though, those two bugs were so sweet together, and I do think they had as much if not more chemistry than the human leads. Anyone who says that Femuto would have committed mate cannibalism on Hokmuto can face my wrath. MUTOs are clearly designed to fight, hunt, and live in pairs (therefore it makes no sense for her to kill and eat him), and it’s entirely possible they’re like crocodilians (i.e. female raises the kids and protects the nest, male brings her and the wittle babies food. Babies stay with the parents for several years until they can live on their own, and may stay within the parents’ territory for several more years. But now I’m going on one of my MUTO ecology headcanon rambles again…)
That’s all I can think of for now, have fun with these and have a nice day!
ooh this is a long one
- I think the funny thing about the hurt/comfort fluff is I only really like it with the Heisei Mothra. For some reason, maybe because she starts out as a larva, she always seemed a bit less like a goddess to me and more like a really caring person just fighting for what they love. While I read other Mothras as more closed off and unsure in social situations because of their attachment to world peace, Heisei Mothra feels more sociable and peppy, and thus capable of committed relationships
- continuing that, Mothzilla I have never really been a fan of, and I think Goji and Mothra being friends is far more interesting. They care so much and mean so much to each other, but it’s because they value their friendship, and neither of them have really had a relationship like that before. They started off as a business relationship and got closer over time, and I think their friendship is very sweet.
- Kongzilla is (usually) very relaxed old man yaoi and I like that a lot
- If you read my other previous ask about Rodorah, you’ll know how I feel about it. Very wacky very goofy very arson.
- Y’know what, I totally think Legion could get it. She’s pulled tons of arthropod ladies before.
- Again, relaxed old man yaoi, I like that a lot. For them it’s way more like, they’ve been friends for so long and have only gotten closer over time, and everyone’s wondering whether they’re official or not, and maybe they won’t say it out loud cause they don’t want the attention, but they are.
- I had a pretty brief Kongzillra phase and that was pretty fun. Mostly used for laughs and silly shipping dynamics where there’s no bad blood. They’re a power throuple.
- The MUTOs are so cute to me, the part where they meet each other in Chinatown, call to each other, nuzzle, and sync up their vocalizations when they kiss lives in my head rent free. It’s too bad Godzilla hates straight romance, because they were a very adorable and committed couple. (I also would be super into any MUTO ecology posts if you’re offering)
(this clip. this clip right here. the sound design, the cuteness, chefs kiss.)

EVERYONE MAY I PRESENT..
MOTHRA AS HIKARI/ZETSUMI: GODDESS OF LIFE AND DEATH (Middle)
AKARI: FORMER GODDESS OF LIFE, THR SUN AND ALL THINGS POSITIVE (Left side of art)
DAKU: FORMER GOD OF DEATH, THE MOON, AND ALL THINGS NEGATIVE (Right side of Art)
Lore behind Daku and Akari:
They became the Gods under Gatix’s (The mother goddess aka Mother Nature in my MVT AU) rule. Akari, Daku, and Gatix later decided to try and split their powers between four new chosen gods— Mothra, who is Akari and Daku’s grandchild, being the first one chosen. She had to pick which power she wanted (Life or Death) but she chose both. Mothra, since she was the first goddess among the new gen got to pick the next three. Mothra is later nicknamed the “Second Mother Goddess/Mother of the Primordials”
The two symbols at the top belong to Mothra’s two forms:
Iris Flower - Life
Infinity w/ a line - Infinite afterlife + the border between life and death
