I do apologize for going on hiatus for so long, schools been really riding me but the good news is that I have about a month left and I will be done!

I’m still continuing on the AU storyline and trying to working on ask submissions.

I was going through a hard streak when I was drawing this, so I wanted a more somber interaction between Thomas and Hannah…

turning my overhead lamp upside down so it lights the ceiling was one of the best choices ive ever made, turning it off and watching just how BRIGHT my glow-in-the-dark stars shine makes me so ridiculously happy every time

arlis + necromancy

after using myrkul's gift against both thorm & myrkul, arlis decides that she'll use it again throughout act iii but only as a measure of absolute, last resort. it's not an easy decision, and one she's truthfully uncomfortable with, but if it's the difference between life & death, she'll choose harnessing it every time.

she's hardly a practiced necromancer, everything she does or conjures comes from a place of pure instinct rather than study or education. the words, the motions; all of it comes as a reflex rather than something learned & studied. given this, her spells tend to not be particularly flashy, but are instead exceptionally potent.

her spells, specifically, are animate dead & circle of death.

she is extremely exhausted and visibly drained after casting. it feels invasive & grotesque to her, something unnatural and difficult to harness given its enormity. she doesn't like anyone to touch her for at least a few hours afterwards, with a potential exception for the person she's romanced.
