It was great to be back at MTI DMU on the 1st Feb 24 for the first concert of 2024 as part of the Centre for Sound/ Image Intersections Tour!

Featuring works by Emma Margetson, Brona Martin, Jim Hobbs, Andrew Knight-Hill and Dushume.

The first time was so much fun, was it perfect? Well no, it was rushed and jumbled around things were crossed and confusing but god that wander Lust was so pure! While the exhaustion and burnout is real and more than did it’s everlasting omni damage. The quiet moments always remained the same the still is that reminder that the magic is real and that list burns in a new and unique manifestos broken and healed damaged and killed alive and thriving in its own background radiation, warming it holistically to begin as is.

[Venice] [Fennesz] [2004] [CD] The austrian Christoph Fennesz is relatively unknown, yet he has already worked with such greats as David Sylvian, King Midas Sound, Ulver, Ryuichi Sakamoto or Jim O'Rourke. . The album "Venice", released in 2004, is still considered one of his best works, not only in the ears of many critics but also in mine. . Stylistically it is (as with almost all works of "Fennesz") not really to be defined. On "Venice" ambient elements stand on equal footing with "IDM", "Electronica" as well as experimental music. Wonderful vocals by David Sylvian paired with "glitch" elements, for example, result in one of the most fascinating tracks on the album. However, it would be unfair to compare one track with another because they are too different. But they all have one thing in common, they never let go and impress the listener again and again deeply! . . . . .
