Being a nice person is my 2024 resolution. Because being nice is fun. Waiter messes something up? You can see the relief on their face when you don't scream at them about it. See a sad hungry looking homeless person on the street? Go buy them a sandwich at the closest coffee stop and watch their face light up as you hand it to them. Because there are too many unkind people in this world to not be kind person.

You may have noticed that I love Buddy Valastro ❤️ I think that he's a great man, and I admire him for what he does. It goes without saying that he's an amazing baker, but the thing I admire the most about him is his love for his family and the fact that he is always giving back to the people in his community and the world. He helped raise $50,000 for the Make a Wish Foundation by encouraging Danny, one of his bakers, to shave off his mustache if they raised $25,000 for the charity. They raised it, and a long time donor matched it!! That gave them a whopping total of $50,000!!!!

As promised, Danny let Buddy and Ralph shave off his mustache of 30 years. He had that mustache when Regan was president, and phones still had cords. I think Danny looks great!! The community knew Danny and loved him so they donated freely. ❤️ I think that Buddy is a very, very, very successful man because he takes his gifts and his money and helps others with them. He does this a lot. That is what true success looks like. We should all try to be like Buddy, dontcha think 🤔? 💜💜💜😍

Quality of Giving

I am a Giving person.

I love to give. I would give it all away just for the people I trust and care about. If you’re in my inner circle, there is nothing I wouldn’t give you. If you’re in my life, there is little I wouldn’t give you.

I’m just like that. I want to make people feel seen, loved, cared for, etc. I give to show you that you matter, that I see you.

I give you little things, I give you big things. I give you things on hold I day, I give you things on random days. I want to make your day. I’ll give you words to make you feel warm and appreciated and beautiful. I’ll give you letters to leave those impressions with you indefinitely.

Sometimes I give too much. Everything needs balance. Can’t give it all. Need some left for me. That’s what I need to remember. I need to give to myself as well.

I give because I don’t get given often. It’s been lacking in my life. On occasion, I get given something. Maybe a word or two. Or a true giving thing. Those moments are precious. But not often. And I don’t want other people to feel the way I do. So I give.

I am a Giving person.
