For the Actor AU, how did they feel abt the canon heroes' outfits? If they could, how would they have modified them?

Marinette: Basic as fuck! It looks like I’m wearing footie pajamas! If I were in charge of my costume, I’d give myself a full-on punk look because Ladybug’s are some badass motherfuckers. Oh, and boots that have soles equipped with a shock-absorbing cushion, and a heel that contains a reinforced spring to soften the shock whenever I land. And… Maybe a backpack shaped like ladybug wings to hold my Lucky Charms and anything I need to collect for my plan.

Adrien: Less leather! That stuff shrinks, and a full leather bodysuit is not comfortable. Also, because of the cat holders’ powers, it would be cool if heroes had some sort of medical supplies on them just in case, like stored in a utility belt. And I’m with Mari, those boots sound badass. What else?… Oh, definitely add some more color instead of just basic black.

Alya: Well, the Fox doesn’t seem like a combative hero due to the powers. I see Rena Rouge as a distraction, really, so her outfit wouldn’t be one of those “ready for battle” types. Here’s what I’m thinking, one of those noir-film type outfits. The hat covers my face a bit to give me an air of mystery, and the outfit would look almost casual that no villain would suspect me.

Nino: I mean… Carapace’s look is cool. It’s alright. I’m liking the goggles, but… I’d prefer if he had armor. He’s the fucking turtle hero! He should be ready to take any blow that a villain sends his way!

Rose: Where to begin? Look, you all know me; I love pink more than the next guy, but… Sometimes too much is too much. The Pig Miraculous strikes me as… More farmhand than ballerina. Yee, I know, the heroes come with a tambourine, but come on! While I do love the skirt, I’d trade it in for overalls, either shorts or a skirt. Oh, and add some black in there, too. Daizzi has a black circle around his eye, let him be represented!

Juleka: Studded jacket. That is all.

Luka: Oh, honey, either give me a hood so I can look like a cobra or get the fuck away from me with that outfit.

Myléne: The mouse strikes me as more of the elegant type, I’m not sure why. Maybe it’s the pastel pink mixed with the grey, but I see Polymouse wearing skirts over Pigella. But, that’s just my opinion.

Ivan: Honestly, I’m fine with the canon design for Minotaurox. Yeah, he’s got pockets and padding, I-I like it. And if you show me a better design, I’ll happily take a look at it.

Marc: … I think all of the effort went into making Rooster Bold’s costume. He’s got rooster hair, the little tallons on the back of his boots, and a fucking tailcoat! He and Mayura are the only ones to have tailcoats! I’m not complaining, though. I… I actually like it, but it is a nightmare putting on and taking off that wig.

Nathaniel: Well, I can say I sort of know how some of the girls feel, because that suit was tight as hell! You could see my hip dip! Also, I would’ve liked to have a different hairstyle and maybe some color, because I am the only male redhead around for miles. Oh, and climbing boots becuase, I’m a goat, duh.

Alix: … Do I need to say it? Okay, give me some active wear! I’m traveling through a shit ton of different timelines! I need someone sporty and active when I’m on the go. Also, I’ll need a backpack like Marinette.

Kim: Not hearing any complaints from me! I liked Roi Singe, but being Scarlet Beetle is way cooler!

Max: The glasses can easily come off. What I need is a high collar or a bandana that can cover the lower half of my face in case my glasses become askew or someone is able to place my identity because all I have on my face are some stupid glasses! God, I’m so glad I’m doing this new show now.

Chloé: Oh, I just want wings.

Zoé: Same.

Sabrina: Can mine just not look like my clothes, please?! I’ll take whatever, just not that!

Kagami: I would prefer if I had some form of armor and not a spandex bodysuit. It would need to be lightweight but also durable to allow me to travel faster, of course.

I wound up on the train of thought of what damage and changes would be permanent if the Miraculous Cure didn't exist, and I ended up with interesting scenarios for Timebreaker. A number of Marinette's classmates are erased in the second timeline, I don't know how many, while the fight ends with two versions of Ladybug and two versions of Timebreaker/Alix in the same timeline—So then, rip to everyone else, but we would have two Maris and two Alixs from then on. However, the fact that the whole thing was kicked off by the Rabbit Miraculous breaking would possibly break the stable time loop that Bunnyx set up, so it's possible that she wouldn't give it to her ancestor if her timeline were to remain intact, so the episode likely wouldn't happen at all. (Time travel is a headache.) Then, probably, nothing breaks, and Marinette sprints back home to give Nadja the Eiffel Tower cake.

Absolutely fucking terrifying.

Hero LineUp (2/3)

I'm very proud of this next pairing this one being Alya and Orikko due to her being a nerd when it comes to superheroes, so she would be knowledgeable on superpowers as well, so let's pair her up with the kwami that can let you pick your superpower and boom it's a win-win. Next is an interesting one as I chose to pair Juleka and Plagg together just so we don't have a fucking love square on our hands, but I do like this pairing as Plagg could still help Juleka out and be our ferocious feline with a sweet goth aesthetic plus she could provide a sibling bond with Adrien which honestly melts my heart just thinking about it. Well, here comes the other twin and his kwami with that being Luka and Fluff. Look between him and Alix they're the only two I trust with this miraculous, so I decided to switch them up. Another thing I like to say is I got the idea for rabbit Luka from a wonderful story called Bloody Bug & Chat Noir by @celestiall0tus which I do advise you to give a read to as it's a masterpiece. Even though I personally don't like Marinette in canon I said I put all biases aside, so she's eligible, but I decided to be a little shit and give her Ziggy whose power is just a watered-down version of the ladybug, but honestly, I can see Marinette be pretty good with it as she would technically have her "pink vision" and now that she can create whatever she wants is a pretty good pairing. Moving on our next pair is Kim and Roaar since I gave Xuppu to Chloe, but still, I like this pairing as Kim and Roaar are both loud and rambunctious plus the other kwamis that were left didn't fit Kim well, so we got this pairing. This next one was another last-minute change, but ultimately, I'm keeping Max and Kaalki together. Originally, I was going to pair him with Sass, but these two just felt right, so I caved, making this the second pair to not change from canon.

Bloody Bug Information

Alright. Now, with the completion of the Bloody Bug Prelude, I will be moving into a full canon divergence with Alix as the main lead. I will be starting with the Origins episode (as it is only fitting in this case) and then move into Stormy Weather.

I will progress through the season 1 episodes as I make my way to season 2. Now, not all episodes will be written out, but I'm expecting that more later on than now.

Now I come to Alix. I will need to flesh her out a tad more. She has a little more to her character than some of the others in the show, but I'm going to be adding a little something that I feel should be in character for her. I will be keeping her self-confidence, boldness, forwardness, kind nature, but have her a little more distant and harsh in the beginning. More like the classic tough girl that is dragged along much to her dismay. She'll have a touch of rebellion, but not like what I've written her to be in the past. She will have a bit of a sailor's mouth, but, again, not as bad as I've written her to have in the past.

Now, some changes I do intend on making moving forward:

Chloe won't be going through her damnation arc (say what you want, I do acknowledge that it was a damnation arc, not a redemption arc. So, shove it) and have something more akin to a redemption arc. This ultimately boils down to Alix being the main heroine and her choices will vary differently compared to Marinette in later seasons.

There will be different people for certain miraculous, though I cannot say at this time who will have what. I will know more when I start writing.

I will also be tossing the notion in the later seasons of "always be happy." I get why they did it, but fuck that is garbage as hell. With this will come shakeups in the dynamics of, well, everyone.

Flaws will be added to other characters to flesh them out a little bit more and give me substance to work with. I will do my best to keep in character as much as possible, but yeah.

Some things I'm on the fence about:

The senti-cousins. I know it was a large part of later seasons, but I truly never got the feeling that either boys (or even Kagami for that matter) were senti-monsters, even with the introduction of Mayura's powers. As of right now, I'm not sure I'll have that in this AU.

I'm doubtful I will make Alix the guardian as Marinette was in the show.

Things I will be keeping (because I'm a bitch and a drama whore):

The plot of Chat Noir hitting on Bloody Bug. I have fun ideas of where to take that.

Gabenath. That shit was a fucking toxic carnival of one-sided love and sacrifice with the other leading them on and it was fucking glorious. You bet your ass I'm keeping it.

Marinette's obsession with Adrien (yes, I said obsession, cry about it). This will cause beginning tension with Marinette and Alix that I'm going to absolutely love.

Now, this isn't in the show, but a vital point of Bloody Bug in the prelude, but her ruthlessness and willing to do what was needed. I will be carrying that over to Alix in this and have her style of hero fall more into that line of an anti-hero.

the miracuclass is painfully generic and boring, but out of all of them are there any characters you enjoy/tolerate?

No. Even Alix is boring compared to her pre-cannon attitude. Even characters that I seem to show affection for, like Kagami, are wholly unlikable.

I don't like how any of the characters in Canon are written. I like nooroo, but even then he's a nothingburger character who hasn't had enough screen time to be ruined properly.

The class is a symptom of something worse. The characters are under developed in the wrong directions- All of them are like... Bad.

They're selfish or cruel or stupid and they're presented like they're supposed to be these really great supporting characters. Like Marinette's little group of girl-friends, in the scope of a single episode they might make sense but in the grand scheme of the story they don't. They were literally avoiding her for like ever because of Chloe and now suddenly they're all besties?

A lot of characteristics that a lot of people like are really one note and surface... Which is great for background characters or one-off characters, but these characters are given the level of importance as main characters sometimes.

And the end decision to give them miraculous (and eventually permanently) really fucks up the importance that the main characters were supposed to have. Getting one of those is supposed to be a huge responsibility because you have to like... Tear apart your social life, dedicate yourself to being a hero, and take care of a tiny creature all while keeping it a secret. It's not special anymore. It's not important. Everybody is a miraculous holder now- and it really sucks that they are these really terrible awful people that have done little but be selfish and mean.

There is a time and a place for background characters or tertiary characters. But miraculous is wasting its time on these characters that need to be spent on other characters that are way more important. Nino, for example, is painfully undeveloped and was shafted in favor of Luka... and because Luca absorbed all of his traits as a character, his new character is pretty fuckin' bad, and I kind of loathed him more then some of the villains at some points.

I guess coochie changes a man.

I assure you though. The characters that you see that the fandom likes? Those are not the characters from the show. They are developed by the fandom, given depth by the fandom, etc etc.

Okay I'll say it here, Why the fuck is everyone having a crush on Marinette? First, it was Nathaniel, then Nino, then Luka, then Adrien, and now Zoe?! I'm not one of those type of fans who point the Mary Sue gun at Marinette, but if majority of the cast have a crush on your main character, isn't that kinda a red flag when writing or developing your characters? What's next? Juleka's gonna have a crush on Marinette? Socqueline's gonna have a crush on Marinette? Alix?! Plagg?!

I get having at least 2 or 3 people crushing on Marinette, but the majority of the cast.............

But fine, just because I am pro Marinette doesn't mean I don't think there isn't flaws in her character...

Honestly anon, I am not sure why a good chunk of the cast has romantic interest in Marinette...Honestly the Miraculous writers certainly love to write on autopilot and they think romance is the most important part of the story.

But one of my pet peeves about this fandom is how people would give Marinette flack for issues that Adrien has as well...But even worse.

At the very least, Nathaniel, Nino, and Zoe got over their crushes on Marinette quickly...The only exception is Luka.

But with Adrien there is Chloe, Lila, and Kagami...And also that Adrien fanboy that seems like a creepy gay guy stereotype. Not to mention random background girls who swoon over Adrien. I mean perhaps it's more understandable because Adrien is a popular young model...But even then.

Not to mention I consider it a bigger red flag that everyone is obsessed with Adrien in this show. Like everyone has to talk about how absolutely sugoi Adrien and usually all the girl group does is talk about Adrien.

But hey, I guess that's the big double standard of fandoms...Female characters being called Mary Sues for stuff like having multiple admirers but male characters not getting the same treatment.

Also, I love how you mentioned that Adrien was the second to last person who took interest in Marinette. Like, I remember years ago Love Square stans getting upset at me and yelling at me that Adrien cared more about Marinette than Luka but Adrien didn't humor the idea of romancing Marinette until S5. And when he finally did it didn't feel earned...It just felt arbitrary because the writers felt if they didn't make Adrien and Marinette date now people would surely lose interest in the show. And yet, people are still eating out of the palm of Astruc's hand.

"Oh, you're a straight dumbass," she cackles, holding her sides, squeezing so she doesn't laugh any harder. "Hold on, hold— hold on, I've got to get a picture."

"She'll make it into this year's Christmas postcard," she muses. "Hold still for me?"

The flash is on, because Marinette has no sense of subtlety, snapping away what feels like quite literally a dozen or so photos of him wearing the neck brace. He doesn't bother stopping her as she flits around the little waiting room like a moth, taking videos, taking photos, putting AR filters on him to make it look like he has little bunny ears. Blearly, he makes the thought that Alix will get a kick out of that one, but any thought that follows it too hard for his already stuffy, cotton brain to think past. Not only has he hurt his neck, but his pride and ego ("What ego?" he can hear Marinette say as she cackles harder). This isn't worth picking a fight with.

"Kitty, you're giving me vertigo with how fast you're moving," he mumbles.

"Fine, I'll sit down. I've had my fun," she says, crossing her legs at her chair with a bright laugh. She's typing faster than anything he's ever seen, no doubt sending all of these photos to as many people as possible. How she has reception, he has no idea, but he'll just live with it for now. "I can't believe you fell for it."

It seemed "reachable" in theory. First mistake is trusting anything she says, though.

Marinette, with the powers of the cat Miraculous, has a few upsides: she's flexible, practically a contortionist, folding herself into the weirdest most uncomfortable pretzels he's ever seen. With the snake Miraculous, he's just as flexible, though he hadn't tested the limits of how far his pretzelness went until today.

Because of Marinette.

Marinette: did you know that at this point you could probably suck your own dick? Luka: What? "A date," he punches out, completely out of thin air. The two of them freeze, unsure if that's what he meant— it's hard, he has a habit of blurting things out, and so does she because of the ADHD, and they're at a standstill.

"Wait," she says, mouth pulled into a weird line.

"You announced to everyone in the reception area that you're my girlfriend, and you know I hate liars."

"W-wait."

"Go on a date with me."

"I—"

"My neck is worth a single date with you."

"But—"

"No take-backs," he starts, but the rest of the sentence fizzles out of him when he sees her face. Heated, practically as red as Mister Bug's suit, her freckles all but disappear. A quiet Marinette is a dangerous one.

So this morning as I struggled to want to get up an AU came to me. I've been struggling on how to word some of this so bare with me.

This got longer than I thought it would but here:

Lois Lane and Clark Kent find out they're having a child later on they find out it's a girl, they're overjoyed and shit. But their relationship is on the down low, and everyone in Metropolis is convinced that Lois and Superman not only have a thing for each other but are together(which they aren't wrong). So when Lex Luthor finds out Lois is pregnant he comes up with a plan(cause his blad ass thinks he's so smart). And he does succeed.

Clark has to go off planet for [intergalactic problem here] and so he's gone for a few months during Lois’s pregnancy. So while Superman is away Lex is like ‘yes my plan will go so much easier now’ and so Lois gives birth, after she(the baby) is put in the baby ward thing, Lex steals their daughter. He gives her this serum that (in theory) blocks her powers till something triggers them. It does work but he doesn't know what will trigger it or how well it works.

He decides to put her as far away from them as possible on Earth tho. So she's in France getting adopted by the lovely couple who own a bakery and want a child. They can't due to biological complications, and Lex can watch them easily ( he knows French ig for this ). And they get to name her cause she doesn't have name.

So enter Marinette Dupain-Cheng the adoptive daughter Tom Dupain and Sabine Cheng. There are some things they just can't explain about their daughter, they love her very much. Shenanigans my beloved, shall ensue.

But she's so small and doesn't have a lot of muscle how is she carrying this bag of flower at the age of 10? OH NO BOILING WATER GOT ON HER SHES GONNA GET BURN MAR- oh, she's okay...? MARINETTE DONT STARE AT THE SUN! They go to the doctor to check her eyesight, she has perfect vision. Marinette the fastest kid in her class, faster than Kim and Alix, they're playing hide and seek? Oh Mari is up a tree!

Back with Clark and Lois, Superman threatens Lex or talks to Bruce or something idk. Jon is made or born 2 years later(idk his story sometimes he's a clone sometimes he's not???!) when Mari is 2, then two more years later Con is born(I know for a fact he is born) so Mari is like 4. Bruce is doing the blood thing, but Lex has that shit under strict supervenience. And while raising the boys they learn what they should look for.

Tom and Sabine conclude that Mari is a Meta, talk to her about this when she is like 12, than when she is almost 14 she searches this stuff up and she's like “okay, no powers” well that gets thrown in her face when she was left with being Ladybug. Lex can't watch her anymore cause Paris closed itself off!

How being Ladybug affects Marinette:

She is still really strong even with that serum not letting her be at full strength so now that she has the Miraculous it enhances her already enhanced strength so she has to pull her punches, and this is one of the main reasons why she uses her yo-yo and her brain in battles rather than brute force, cause she could kill the akuma. At least she thinks so, who knows, depends on the writer!

Post [What-ever-the-fuck version of Gabriel we're dealing with]:

There are two ways this can go! 1) Mari during her time as Ladybug and Guardian activated the trigger so she could use all her half-Kryptonian-ness or 2) somehow it wasn't triggered yet but it was at some point while being around JL. Probably from being around Superman and her body went “FATHERRRRR”

And why Clark hasn't figured out this is his daughter after meeting her? Magic suit y'all! Prevents him from using x-ray vision on her, so he doesn't see her hybrid organs. One thing is for certain Bruce wants to adopt her! He can't of course cause she has already been adopted, so instead, he offers her a place to stay in Gotham, all paid, and any school of her choosing in Gotham. She says she’ll think about it, and when she researched she was surprised, and decided why not! She can fight villains, build her career, see what she can do with her new activated power, *cough* get all that pent-up rage out *COUGH*!

One big problem tho, the Meta and Magic users ban, so she talks to him again, he's like I'm willing to adjust my ban, then he does a double take cause “meta?” cause guess what Brucie, you wanna take in a meta-magic user! So he adjusts his rules.

Time passes, a long time depends, but Clark and Lois go to this gala being reporters and friends with Bruce. This gala is also Mari’s first. She's been doing great, other than almost burning her room in the middle of the night a few weeks ago. But it's fiiiiine, they're all learning, and Damian has his suspensions.

Clark was area of Bruce having another kid in his wings, and he does his x-ray things like he does all the batfam, and that's when he sees it! She wasn't human, she was part human. So he takes her Bruce, and is like “you can't have this child” “why tf can't I!” “this is our missing daughter!!”

So after the gala they all sit down and talk this out, they call Jon and Kon to get their asses here to see their sister! They talk to Tom and Sabine and they’re willing to share custody especially cause of how this happened! Anyway big family in the end.

This has probably been done somewhere but I needed to get this written out. I really want to write this, but if anyone does tag me please! PLEASE!

It’s a typical day in Paris. There’s an Akuma, magical superheroes, a convoluted plan involving a lucky charm, and Nathaniel goes missing

That last one is more common than you’d think, but even after the Akuma is defeated… He’s still gone. But as usual, Marc is calm, cool, and collected

Marc: WHERE?! WHERE THE FUCK IS MY BOYFRIEND, YOU BASTARDS?! I’LL TEAR THIS CITY TO THE GROUND UNTIL I FIND HIM!

Weeks go by, and there’s still no sign of Nathaniel. The heroes have no idea what to do and things look hopeless

Also, the lights keep flickering on and off in the art classroom

Aya refuses any sort of eulogy from the school as she refuses to believe her son is gone for good and holds out hope for his return. The Anciels and Kubdels make sure to check in on her whenever they can despite being worried themselves

As for Ladybug and Chat Noir, they’re at a loss for what to do. They figure the Akuma made Nathaniel disappear since their powers were related to teleportation, but to find Nathaniel, they’d need to get that person akumatized again, and they don’t want to put them through that

And for God’s sake, will someone do something about the flickering lights in the art classroom?!

Max is just walking in to help Alix gather Nathaniel’s belongings, but notices something off about the lights… It’s Morse code!

And it says, “Guys, I’m alive! This is Nath! Help me!”

Nath’s alive! Yay!… But they still don’t know where he is. So they don’t have to keep translating morse code, the students create a system with stringed lights and letters drawn on the wall

So far, all they’ve got is that Nathaniel is in some dark, kind of damp forest-like setting. There’s dead plant life, he hasn’t seen the sun once, and there are these weird creatures following him around, and they don’t look like any sort of animal anyone’s seen before

Ladybug: But how are we going to get Nathaniel? To do that, we’d have to get the previous victim Akumatized again, but-

Simon: Wait… They had teleportation powers?

Chat Noir: Yeah.

Simon: … I’ll give you both a minute.

Ladybug/Chat Noir: … Ooh!

The idea of there only being One True Timeline that the Rabbit Wielder has to preserve is actually super fucked the more I think about it. Like, obviously, the whole thing about free will versus predestination is pretty existentially horrifying but also imagine the psychological toll that it would take on the holder to have to knowingly allow tragedies and disasters and possibly even go out of their way to ensure that they happen

Tbh I can at least roll with this type of Time Travel but there are two things that piss me off about it.

1.) The Future.

We have, unforutnately, been given some knowledge of the Future. And it'd be fine if it was something vague like just a cheeky 'oh yeah LB and CN are still Heroes and their relationship is >:3c' thing.

BUT

Timetagger confirms that LB and CN are going to be fighting a Butterfly Villain for at least another decade. That's a canon fact now. They can't change the future. Nothing they do in this show will ever fucking matter. Even after defeating Gabriel, even if they defeat Lila, there's going to be another villain with the Butterfly Miraculous that they have to fight.

And that is fucking depressing to know that they make no progress at any point between Origins and a literal decade later.

2.) The Variations.

If things like Chat Blanc weren't supposed to happen, why do they happen?

For Bunnyx to be able to go back to Chat Blanc and fix things, there has to be a Timeline where things originally went as she remembered(Mari 'backing out' of the gift giving). After all, if Chat Blanc happened, then Alix would remember that Timeline instead(assuming she survived).

So why did that happen for her, and what caused Marinette to go through with breaking into Adrien's room when she wasn't supposed to?

Like yeah yadda yadda time loops and all you can't explain it in a way that makes sense at least no one spawned out of the Timeline this time.

But for something like this where Time is already set in stone and Bunnyx is only there to fix 'anomalies', what caused the anomaly?

I think this episode would've worked better if like. It was caused by Marinette using the Rabbit for her own gain. Or if we got a retcon to it when Gabriel used the Rabbit in Evolution and he caused this anomaly somehow.

Tbh I agree with the Sailor Moon anon, but at the same time I'm frustrated from the other end of things because as the show is they already have a perfect set-up to explain why the Miraculous Holders shouldn't know each other's identities:

Hawk Moth can make any fucking akuma he wants. How hard would it be for him to make a truth-telling akuma, or one that outs secrets?

Considering that angle, it makes perfect sense why Ladybug and Chat Noir shouldn't know each other's identities; it's a line of defense. Even if one hero is compromised and can't keep their secret, the other one isn't revealed and can fall back for reinforcements.

But the show never brings this up! Or anything like it, save for Simpleman, multiple seasons in by this point. By the latter seasons most of these temp holders know each other's identities and still go running around in spandex half the time. It doesn't matter. But the writers ignore that because if they didn't the lovesquare would fall apart, and they're sure that the romance is the main driving force in their show. Probably because it's the only thing they shove the focus on outside sad shots of Adrien moping about.

Also, if it did matter, that would mean that Mr. Golden Boy Adrien Agreste is--gasp--wrong to keep hounding LB to reveal her identity to him. And we can't have that, can we <3

It honestly feels like the writers are just coming up with excuses for why Marinette and Adrien can’t know the other’s identity at this point with all of the times the identity rule hasn’t been enforced for Alya, Nino, Chloe, Luka, Max, Kagami, Kim, and Alix.

Hell, why not make the source of Ladybug and Cat Noir’s conflict in Season 4 be over the temp heroes’ identities? Have Cat Noir insist that if it’s okay for Rena Rouge’s identity to be known by Shadowmoth, he and Ladybug’s partnership could be reenforced by an identity reveal. Give both sides an actual point instead of what we got in canon.

But like you said, anon, that would mean Adrien could possibly be wrong, so the writers can’t do that. Of course, Marinette can be wrong all the time, according to Astruc.

            Alix slipped from her house through a downstairs window. She looked around before she headed into the open. She kept an eye out for the cops as she started towards the nearest skate park. She turned a corner, and a woman collided with her and sent them both tumbling.

            “Hey! What the fuck is your-!” Alix started.

            The woman scrambled behind Alix and clung to her. “Help me! Please!”

            “Get your ass over here, bitch!” a man screamed.

            Alix turned and saw an older man that smelled like a brewery. She snorted and got to her feet. “What do you want, old man?”

            “Stay out of this, girl. I’m here for that wench behind you.”

            Alix shook the woman off and stood. “Tough luck. You want her, you’ll have to go through me.”

            The man growled. “This isn’t your fight, girl. Walk away.”

            Alix smirked. She tossed her skates aside and rolled her shoulders. “Think I give a damn? You’re just a warm-up for my night, fucker.”

            The woman watched as this girl charged against her husband. She flinched when her husband struck Alix and cried when Alix struck him back. Despite it all, this girl had the courage to do what she couldn’t. To stand against her oppressor and fight. She was supposed to be the one to do it, but even now she had to rely on a mere stranger for her freedom.

            A voice whispered: I can give you such power, if you desire?

            “Power? Yes. Oh, please, yes!” the woman cried softly.

            Sit tight. It’ll be there soon.

            The woman sat and watched the fight as she waited.

            Alix was bloody and bruised, but not as bad as the woman’s husband. He breathed heavily as he fought to stay on his own feet while Alix held her own. She punched him, then grabbed her skates. She reared back and struck his face with them. There was a horrifying crack as they connected with his jaw. As he collapsed, a butterfly flew into the woman’s wedding ring.

            Alix laughed and kicked the man below the belt. “Take that, bastard! Teach you to pick fights you can’t win.”

            Alix turned to the woman and froze. The woman’s body was covered in a dark shadow. Alix backed away when she heard police sirens. She grabbed her skates and ran but was caught in a vine. She yelped as she was lifted into the air. She turned back to the woman and gasped.

            The woman was wrapped in a dress made of dark purple petals. From beneath the skirt, vine-like tendrils sprawled out that lifted her higher. Her skin was a sickly purple with her hair a plume of purple bell-shaped flowers and purplish-black berries. Alix swore as the woman brought her closer and entrapped her.

            The woman looked to her beaten husband and the cops that took aim at her. She smiled as a purple cloud rolled off her. It spread along the ground towards the husband and cops. They coughed and staggered back. Some of the cops collapsed while others knelt with hands over their hearts. A few tendrils sharpened into thorns as they impaled the husband the cops.

            Alix recoiled as they were skewered. She swallowed hard as their blood was siphoned into the roots until all that remained were mummified corpses. The woman disposed of the bodies once that was all that was left. The vines that held Alix moved her in front of the woman.

            “Let me go, hag!” Alix screeched.

            “Not when I hold such a potential poison in my grasp.”

            “What the fuck are you talking about?”

            The woman reached out and cupped Alix’s cheeks. “Your heart is rich with a foul poison that seeps into your very core. You’d be perfect to fuel my own toxins.”

            “What the hell! I helped you and this is how you thank me?”

            “It’s only because you helped me that you’re not dead, girl. And as long as you behave, I’ll let you live.”

            Alix sneered and spat in the woman’s face.

            “My, quite the spirit. Perhaps a lesson should suffice.” The woman smirked as she dug her nails into Alix’s cheeks.

            Alix screamed as the woman slowly dragged her nails down Alix’s face. The veins on Alix’s face turned purple as they bulged. Her breathing came in long, slow bursts as the world blurred.

            “Now, be a good girl and think about what you’ve done. While you do that, you will help me rid the city of such poisonous hearts. Hearts much like my husband’s and your own.”

            The woman moved Alix behind her. Alix looked around as everything came in and out of focus. From the corner of her eye, she saw a horse as it stood and watched. She moved her lips but heard no words. She fought to keep consciousness but soon slipped out of it.

            Mullo was curled up beside Juleka as she slept. Her ears twitched when she heard a neigh. She shot up and looked to the window as she heard a nicker and another neigh. She gasped and shook Juleka.

            “Juleka, wake up.”

            Juleka groaned and turned over.

            “Juleka, please! It’s an emergency!”

            “What is it?”

            “There’s a monster! It has a red-haired girl in its clutches.”

            Juleka immediately sat up. “Red hair? It’s not Alix, is it?”

            Juleka checked the time. It was almost one in the morning. Alix had to be sneaking out at this hour. She grabbed her phone and messaged Marinette, then Chat about what Mullo told her. She took a deep breath and set her phone to the side.

            “Let’s go find her. Mullo, get squeaky.”

            Mullo vanished into the pendant and transformed Juleka.

            Souris sighed and stuck her phone into her boot. She ran out to the deck and onto the bridge. She paused to look at her phone. Chat was still out and would meet up with her, but Marinette hadn’t answered. She told him she’d go get Ladybug, then headed in the direction of Marinette’s as she jumped along the rooftops. She landed on the roof of Marinette’s place and slipped in through the hatch. She jumped onto Marinette’s bed and landed on top of her.

            Marinette squeaked and looked at Souris. “What… what’s going on?”

            “There’s a monster attack. Alix is in trouble.”

            “Alix? Tikki, spots on!”

            Tikki disappeared into the earrings and transformed Marinette. Ladybug jumped out of bed and headed to the roof with Souris.

            “Where do we go?”

            “I’ll find them. Perception.”

            Souris covered her mouse ears as noises assaulted them. She focused on the city as she searched for the monster. She found it and saw Alix in the monster’s clutches. She sent the location to Chat, then motioned to Ladybug to follow.

            Chat checked his phone when Souris’ message came in. Queen Bee looked over his shoulder at it.

            “That’s close. Follow me.”

            Chat nodded and followed Queen Bee. They stopped on a rooftop near the monster. They watched it for a short time as gas emitted from it. It affected everyone in its path, then impaled them. Ladybug and Souris soon joined them as they observed the monster.

            “What’s the plan?” Queen Bee asked.

            Ladybug and Souris’ eyes widened as they exchanged glances. “Chloe?”

            Queen Bee smirked. “Who else? Now, what should we do about the monster?”

            “We shouldn’t get too close with that gas,” Chat said.

            “Oh, what if I use my powers on it? I could make it my devoted follower. I could command it to not use the gas on us,” Queen Bee suggested.

            “Could you hold it in place too?” Ladybug asked.

            “Probably.”

            “That could work. And I could use my yo-yo to entrap it, maybe hoist it up using the streetlights.”

            “That should just leave finding the object where the Akuma is.”

            “I don’t know the color of weather girl’s parasol, but I remember Stoneheart’s object was purple. Maybe look for something purple. Hopefully a darker purple than the rest of her,” Ladybug said.

            “I can look for it while you guys immobilize it,” Souris offered.

            “Sounds like a plan. Ready?” Chat asked.

            The girls nodded. Chat, Queen Bee, and Ladybug headed towards the monster while Souris lurked behind. She used Bend and altered everyone’s perception so they couldn’t see her. She moved closer as Queen Bee used Devotion that stopped the monster in its tracks as it obeyed her. Ladybug’s yo-yo wrapped around it as its arms were bound.

            Souris looked the monster over and saw a black ring with a purple gem on it. She reached for it but paused. Her ears twitched as something flew nearby. She looked around and saw a butterfly land on Alix’s neck.

            “No,” Souris whispered.

            Souris turned as Chat destroyed the roots of the creature and its current victims. It screamed as it wriggled and fought against Ladybug’s hold. Souris caught Alix and moved her away. The monster broke from Queen Bee’s Devotion as poison gases emitted from it. Queen Bee and Chat jumped out of dodge, but Ladybug was caught in the thick of it. Ladybug used Lucky Charm and the poison rolled off her. Chat put distance between him and Ladybug while her charm was active.

            “Ladybug, the ring! On her left hand!” Souris yelled.

            Ladybug nodded and ran up to the monster. Its attacks missed her as she took the ring. She used her yo-yo to get on top of the building, away from the monster. She saw Chat and headed towards him with the ring held up. He cautiously approached and took the ring. Once it was destroyed, they approached the woman. The woman looked up and sneered.

            “How dare you. How dare you!”

            “Ma’am, it’s alright. You’re free from the butterfly’s control,” Ladybug said.

            “I didn’t ask for your help. I didn’t want it!”

            “But why?”

            “I finally had the power to get my revenge. To make those that wronged me pay for always turning a blind eye, for hurting me. To keep others from suffering like I had. I had the chance to purge Paris from such dark hearts!”

            “Oh, boo hoo. Maybe you should have done something about it that isn’t killing everyone you saw. What did those people ever do to you?” Queen Bee said.

            “That doesn’t matter. They had poison in their hearts that we’d have been better off without."

            “Isn’t that a little extreme?” Chat asked.

            Ladybug hummed. She looked around as Chat and Queen Bee continued their conversation with the woman. She saw Souris reappear beside Alix as she clung to her. She approached Souris as her suit fell apart and Mullo popped out from the pendant.

            “How is she?”

            Juleka looked up, her eyes red from crying. “She has a heartbeat, but she’s not waking up.”

            Ladybug grimaced as she looked at Alix’s wounds. The claw marks ran deep. Blood stained Alix’s face, but no fresh blood flowed from the wounds. Her veins bulged from her face and worked down her neck and were a dark purple. Her skin was pale, clammy, and cool to the touch.

            “We need to take her to the hospital.”

            Juleka stared at Alix, then nodded. “Will you take her?”

            “I will.”

            Juleka handed Alix off to Ladybug. Ladybug smiled, then headed off. Juleka scooped Mullo into her hand, picked up her phone, and approached Chat. She watched as Queen Bee used Devotion on the woman.

            Queen Bee slung the woman over her shoulder. “I’m going to take her to the police and inform them of what happened.”

            “Sounds good. Uh, where’d Ladybug go?” Chat asked.

            “She took Alix to the hospital.”

            “Oh, I see. And why are you de-transformed?”

            “She might have pushed me a little too much, but that’s ok. Her friend won’t wake up but has a heartbeat. Oh, and there was a one of those whisper butterflies landed on the Alix girl,” Mullo said.

            Chat blinked. “Are you sure?”

            Tears fell from Juleka’s eyes. “I saw it. She’ll be infested in no time. I’m already losing my brother to the butterfly bastard, and now I’m going to lose Alix too. Who’s next? Rose?”

            Mullo pat Juleka’s thumb. “It’ll be ok. You’ll see. We’ll have the snake before too long, hopefully. And then they’ll be free of whispers. He’ll purge them and it’ll be alright.”

            “Until they’re infested again,” Queen Bee remarked.

            “What do you mean?” Chat asked.

            “Think about it. Some people may not want to cave to their dark desires, but what about people like this bitch? She’ll probably be infested again because she’s latched onto her own poison. I can’t speak for your brother, Juleka, but Alix is a raging bomb that’s ready to go off at any moment. Even if she’s purged of those whispers, she’ll likely just be infested again.”

            Juleka looked at Queen Bee in horror, then looked at Mullo. “Is that true?”

            Mullo smiled nervously and shrugged. “It’s always a possibility.”

            “I need to check on her. Mullo, get squeaky.”

            “I need to recharge first before we can transform again.”

            Juleka looked at Chat. “Can you take me home?”

            Chat nodded. “I’ll see you later, Bee.”

            Queen Bee nodded and headed off.

            “You lived on that boat, right? Along the Seine?”

            Juleka nodded. Chat scooped her up and took her home. He landed on the deck and put her down.

            “Thank you,” Juleka said.

            “Of course. And thank you, Juleka.”

            “But I didn’t do anything.”

            “If not for you, we wouldn’t have noticed the monster until morning, or until later in the night.”

            Juleka shrugged. “You should really thank Mullo. She heard something, I assume, and told me. Here, you guys can talk. I’m going to get her snacks, ok?”

            Chat nodded and scooped up Mullo. Juleka ran down below deck into the kitchen. She searched through the cupboard until she found the bag of trail mix she bought earlier. She grabbed it as someone grabbed her arm and pulled her back. Her eyes widened when she was face-to-face with Luka.

            Juleka smiled. “Uh, morning?”

            “Juleka, where have you been?”

            “I don’t know what you mean.”

            “Your bed was empty, you were nowhere in the house, and you weren’t in the immediate area. Where did you go?”

            “Oh. Nowhere important. Just a little, uh, late night walk?”

            “Why do you have a bag of trail mix?”

            “Hungry?”

            “Since when did you eat that?”

            “Oh, you know, recently.”

            Luka growled. “You’re playing hero, aren’t you?”

            “What? No. Luka-.”

            “Juleka, don’t you know how dangerous that is? The danger you could put us and yourself in playing make believe. Do you want to end up like Alya?”

            “At least Alya was shielded from most of the damage by her kwami. Do you want me to end up like Alix, who doesn’t have a kwami, and be at the complete mercy of a monster? To be severely wounded and in the hospital right now?”

            “Alix is reckless, but you aren’t. Which is why I don’t understand why you’d chase these fantasies. You’re not Alya or Marinette, all too happy to live in a dream. So, why? Why do this?”

            Juleka gritted her teeth. “For you! To keep you safe. To keep anything bad from happening to you. To be there should you fall.”

            “That’s ridiculous, Juleka. I don’t need to be protected. I never have. I’m not you. You’ve always been the one that needed to be shielded. To be kept safe from the world that always scared you. From the malicious people that would tear you apart. And I’ve always been the one to keep you safe.”

            “And that’s not fair! You shouldn’t have to carry all our burdens. You shouldn’t have to always be strong. There should be someone there to shield you when you need it. To let yourself be weak. To feel and live your life like anyone else.”

            “I’m perfectly fine with everything.”

            “Yeah? What about with Marinette? I know you love her.”

            “We’re not discussing my stupid crush on that airhead.”

            “What’s wrong with you? How could you call her that? She’s your friend!”

            “Because you feel the need to bring up irrelevant bullshit when we’re discussing you. That being your inconceivable need to pretend to be a hero. To fill your mind with delusions that I need any sort of saving instead of seeing the danger you’re needlessly putting yourself in.”

            Juleka growled. He never has acted like this. He had always been soft, gentle, and never raised his voice to her. Whatever is plaguing his heart now couldn’t be Marinette. Was it her? Could it be that? He went right to the point with her safety and playing a hero. He’s kept the conversation on her. It had to be that.

            “I’m not the one filling their mind with delusions, Luka. I’m not a little girl anymore, and I don’t need to be protected.”

            A shadow fell over Luka’s face. Juleka grimaced but lunged forward. She jabbed her elbow into his stomach as they fell over. He released her and she scrambled to her feet. She ran while he recovered. She made it to the deck where Chat remained where he stood with Mullo.

            Juleka opened the bag. “Get in, Mullo.”

            Mullo smiled and jumped in.

            “Chat, can you keep my brother distracted if he comes after me?”

            “I will.”

            “Please don’t hurt him. That’s all I ask.”

            “You have my word.”

            “Thank you, Kitty. I owe you one.”

            Chat watched as Juleka ran off. He kept an eye on her until he heard footsteps. When he turned, he locked eyes with Luka.

            “You. What are you doing here?” Luka said. The poison dripped from his voice.

            Chat smiled and bowed. “Pleasure to meet you, brother of Souris.”

            “Don’t play cute with me.”

            “Who’s playing?”

            Luka sneered. “Get lost, cat. We don’t want you here.”

            Luka started to move past Chat, but Chat stepped in his way.

            “So soon? I thought we could get to know each other.”

            “I have nothing to say to you. Get lost!”

            Chat put an arm around Luka. Luka snorted and glared at Chat.

            “I feel we got off on the wrong foot. Perhaps we could try this again? I would like to be friends, if that’s possible. What do you say?”

            Luka sneered and pushed Chat away. “I want nothing to do with you. You’ve done nothing but take everything from me.”

            “Everything how? Do you mean Souris?”

            Luka shut his mouth. Thoughts of Marinette bubbled to the surface, but he shut them away. He gritted his teeth and fought the tears.

            “Yes. You’re forcing her into such a dangerous path. Why? Why do you do this?”

            “I don’t. Souris is her own person and makes her own decisions. Whatever she does, she does of her own accord.”

            “What bullshit. You honestly think I’d believe that?”

            Chat paused. He looked back and caught sight of Souris in the corner of his eye. “Believe what you want. But can I say something?”

            “No.”

            “I hope we can work through this. Despite that chip, you seem like an interesting guy. Catch mew later!”

            Luka watched as Chat left. Once Chat was gone, Luka looked around the area. He searched everywhere he could but couldn’t find Juleka. He slammed his fist into a streetlight. He silently cursed Chat for stalling and Juleka for running off. How could she do this? He returned home and headed back to his room but was intercepted by his mother.

            “Luka, where have you been? And where’s Juleka? I heard noises and when I checked your rooms, neither of you were there.”

            “Mom, I need to talk to you about Juleka.”

Cant wait for Marinette to have a constant stress migraine once Su Han shows up. Poor gal.

I'm now just going to throw ideas at you because they in my brain and I must share.

I'd imagine it takes a while for Mylene to actually accept the mouse miraculous. The first few weeks is just a combination of Mullo scaring Mylene while also boosting her confidence against her other fears. Like a little motivator for her. Once Mylene reaslises that she has become alot braver due to Mullo's help she actually accept the miraculous from him.

I'd imagine that Marc and Nath take to the superhero thing really fast, but like in a bad way. They fight villains, sure, but they also see it as a fun adventure or game, not really taking it seriously. After all, it's just like their comic books and they're the protagonists, how could they lose? Until one day one of them gets beat into the ground and they realise 'shit, this is real' and it freaks them the fuck out. One of them might try to quit and maybe even give up the miraculous and it becomes a whole thing. Idk tho.

Alix uses the rabbit to go back and time and get attendance on school days she skipped. This ends up being a terrible idea when she mentions something to Marinette that hasn't happened yet and it fucks the timeline. Woops.

At one point Kim thinks it would be funny to throw an uproar at Viperion, which then sends Luka back to last week. Woops. He uses this accidental regression to avoid a speeding ticket Roger gave him.

The kwamis having a tea party in an empty classroom, sharing stories of their holder's exploits. Roaar sounds like a proud dad as he explains that Juleka ordered lunch without mumbling. Daizzi and Ziggy are just happy to hang with their friends.

Honestly I am so invested in NSS. You've build such a fun, interesting, and beautifully complex au here. It's going to be so hype when you start writing. I'm so interested to see what you make of this AU.
