Queerstake!
I just got called as a youth camp leader and during the setting apart, I felt deeply prompted to make a goal for the camp of increasing love and understanding towards queer youth and just making our ward a safer space in general.
The question is, how do I do that? I'm not sure how to implement this without 1) coming out (which i am not ready for), and 2) making it feel preachy or over the top cause I don't think a bunch of youth will be receptive to that.
PLEASE send me any ideas you have!

another girls camp story 🎉
here is the story of Gregory Alexander Young (Greg for short)
so, Thursday afternoon we were at the pool, and we were all just sitting on the side, and my friend found a moth in the pool, fished him out, and figured out he was still alive. i named him Greg
we kept greg alive through the rest of the afternoon and through dinner, and then near the end of dinner, he died (and during dinner we dubbed him “Gregory Alexander Young”. his initials are not a coincidence, we did that on purpose)
so, we wrapped him in a napkin, tied off the ends, and at the campfire later that night, we had a “funeral” and tossed him in the fire and burned him. it was very emotional (for some people. my friend actually started crying lol)
then Friday morning, we got a rock, wrote his name as well as “RIP” and the dates from which we knew him to be alive, and placed it in the woods like a headstone
and that’s the story of Gregory Alexander Young (A.K.A. “G.A.Y.”)

Does anyone have any tips on getting out of girls camp? I'm a ycl and I've managed to avoid the past few years of brain washing because of covid, but because this will be my last camp, the church ladies are really pushing for me to go.
I'm a trans man so going to girls camp is extremely dysphoric for me, not to mention the sheer anxiety camping gives me. I hate the thought of ticks, and it triggers my mental illness

biggest indicator of the hoes not being alright is that all isekai nowadays has gone from “ultimate power level super cool beam explosion harem fantasy” to shit like “in this new world i eat lots of delicious food and help people with minor problems and i feel incredibly fulfilled with a happy and peaceful life where the cold grip of capitalism cant touch me :)”

first story from girls camp:
on the second to last day of camp we had a testimony meeting, as we do every year. not wanting to listen, my friends and i decided that instead of listening to “get something out of it” or whatever, we would take bets and see who won. (the bets were like “x amount of people are going to cry”)
we were all way off on our bets. the highest bet for cryers was 10. 16 people cried. it was nice though to have something to distract us lol
