The Story
The story is about a town who gets mad at the country, Canada, after the townsfolk's children watch an R rated film.
This film is about censorship. Well... It should be, but the film has so many sub plots that the main theme of the film is overshadowed and feels rushed.
Some of the jokes are funny, but most of them didn't even get a chuckle out of me. The film is unfortunately one of those dated films with pop-culture references that weren't relevant by the time this film came out!
The film has quite a lot of shock humour, mainly because most of the inappropriate scenes involve one of the children, for example, the children accidentally watch fetish porn, but due to the animation being cheap and that we don't see the porn itself, (only the children's horrified reactions) it reduces the shock value to being quite tame compared to other films in it's genre (Team America: World Police has a lot more shocking and disgusting humour compared to this film) but I wouldn't recommend watching this film if you have a weak stomach, but I can't recommend this film to someone who wants to watch the most shocking and disturbing film made by the same creators.
They should of done what the film, Fritz the Cat did. Have very little plot and let the characters do their own thing and let the characters stop and breath from time to time to let the audience learn more about the characters so they can relate to them more.
The Characters
The film has the four main children and their parents. But then it introduces us to literally 100s of different characters that get barely any screen time or development whatsoever. It also gives the main characters so little development that all of the children feel like the same character (except for the baby who is nothing more than a 'minion' who fails to be charming or funny).
The only character who was memorable was Satan. The freakin' devil himself is a more likeable character than the rest of these bland pieces of paper. Plus his subplot was far more interesting than most of the subplots going on in this film!
The Animation/Special Effects
Now I know this is the same animation as the original TV series. But this is a full-length film that was released in theatres! The animation is really cheap and is really bad (especially that they just put (in)famous people's heads on the characters. In fact, the animation is so bad, it makes the shock humour less funny and disturbing!
Now, I will admit that the scene where one of the children falls to hell is given an extra scary vibe with the bad CGI demons. It gives them an otherworldly feel that a high quality CGI demon would fail to accomplish.
The Songs
Other than a couple of the songs (the opening song and Kyle's mother is a bitch!) the rest of the songs are pretty forgettable.
It does try to have an emotional scene near the end with one of the characters dying, but it is ruined by an unfunny joke that just kills the mood!
Final Thoughts
Overall, this film is a mess. The story doesn't know where it's trying to go, there are way to many characters that just pop up for no reason, the animation looks bad and the songs are mostly forgettable.
Now, before you guys try to hound me down like the Mother's Against Canada, let me just say this. I have seen a few episodes of the TV series, an my goodness, they are funny! These episodes is what the film should of been like! So if I were you, I would stick with the original show and ignore this overrated piece of shit!
The Story 1/5 The Characters 1.5/5 The Animation/Special Effects 1.5/5 The Songs 2/5
Overall 1.5/5

I think being a little insane abt misogynistic movies is a woman's right. I understand the film at a deeper more intellectual level than the director anyway and it actually isn't that misogynistic, he just didn't get it.
