So we made the decision recently to relocate a major setting in Hive Rules, namely making it so the majority of the initial cast are from Earth-C rather that LOW(AS), here's some worldbuilding highlights

I don't need a strict feeding schedule with Gidjit. I just wait until he sits on his log with his front feets on the feeding platform where he will stare into my soul as I do stuff in the reptile room until I give him his slop.

Case and point, last night I was cleaning for a showing of the apartment and was extremely tired, so I was going to give Gidjit his food the next day. He had gotten a pinky on Saturday so I knew he would be good, but that little fucker was sitting so politely, waiting for his slop, so I gave in and mixed it up for him anyways.

Figured I'd write a short synopsis for our main 16 to give more context

Amar Winter (He/They) [completeLiability] is a young man who lives somewhere in Wyoming by himself, he is seriously lacking in self-confidence but keeps himself relevant by trying to turn any given interaction into a quip-off as a way of staving off the mental illness.

Cinjar Palark (They/She) [eruditeEngine] is a bronzeblood who lives in Ignis, the largest city on the Land of Heat and Clockwork, where they work in "The Boiler Room" that provides most of the city's power, they have a passion for creating things, particularly little clockwork or steam-powered gadgets. She has an intense dislike of being misinterpreted.

Deemat Vurkil (He/Him) [localSpokesman] is a tealblood politician from Zephyr, the biggest city on the Land of Wind (formerly the Land of Wind and Shade), he is one of few trolls lucky enough to have filled every quadrant, though he considers himself to have relatively bad luck in spite of this, he has a passion for old technology.

Durhen Qualis (aka Elplus Raytio) (He/They) [copeSeethe] is a big shot in the tech world who moonlights as an infamous internet troll, being both the owner of Twitter.com and its most infamous bully, though nobody knows the two are one and the same. He lives in Silicon Valley in North California, which is situated in the Earth-C country of Baja. He is typically abrasive, but occasionally smokes to mellow himself out.

Efftah Kadrin (He/They) [extremelyLucrative] is a rich violetblood from the Manhattan Gulf, which houses the sunken remains of New York City, he made all of his money through the stock market and likes to make good use of it by buying things for their friends all the time.

Cyfrow "Gidjit" Jayfer (They/Them) [sequentialEccentric] is a blueblood from Novaya Moskva in Russia, the creator of the Sburb ROM Hack, and a somewhat famous hacker, they consider themselves the world's foremost expert in the almost-defunct language of ~ATH, and were part of a group of students taught by the legendary Sollux Captor (that’s what they claim, at least). They generally don't care what other people think of them.

Gjinta Laijik (She/They) [spacedoutSuperstar] is a new-age limeblood who lives in Cape Canaveral in the Earth-C country of Floridia, she is obsessed with all things space and resents the fact that, being from the first true generation of limebloods for millennia (the blood group was reconstituted using Calliope's cherub blood), the government keeps a watchful eye on them, she's a little forgetful and has a hard time talking about things that aren't what they want to talk about.

Huey Martin (He/Him) [lackingClarity] is a wannabe hairstylist and fashion designer, also from Zephyr, who has an innate interest in anything he considers "swag" (he insists it’s a seperate thing to “cool”), he is loyal to a fault and often times a little reckless, but resents doing anything that might mess up his hair, he often talks at length about nothing in particular.

Hysryx Ymkora (He/Him) [stokingLanguor] is an indigoblood from somewhere in the Earth-C country of Kebek (Which is in North America, but people basically consider it a puppet state of New France), he’s basically a normal human dude, only he happens to be a troll, he is an incessant perfectionist who’s still touchy about the fact that both of his horns broke off in an accident a few years before the start of the story. He’s a creep and an asshole and people find his accent offputting.

Migdin Aklais (She/Her) [coldfrontEcstatic] is a burgundyblood from the Frozen Peaks, a small mountain range on LOW, she loves the snow but is a little sad she never got to grow up around large amounts of people, her social circle largely only revolves around her matesprit, though she wants to change this, and she has a strange way of speaking sometimes due to never learning English.

Naitch Glempt (She/Her) [counterCulture] is a jadeblood from The Troyt, Mish Ygin, one of the biggest hatchery cities in the Midwest, she resents jadebloodedness and all the stereotypes surrounding it, especially the blood type's figurehead Kanaya Maryam, she refers to herself as a viridianblood and models herself as the opposite of Kanaya, even down to how she talks.

Niisht Klaide (She/Her) [stoneCold] is a fuchsiablood who lives on a remote island in the middle of the ocean on the Land of Light and Rain, like her best friend Naitch she rejects the classical ideas of her blood type and, instead of living in luxury, lives largely off the land. Her interminably long lifespan makes it hard for her to develop connections to people, and she always tries to make herself seem aloof and unapproachable.

Otasry Wistam (They/He) [enragedShadow] is an oliveblood from Lundin, New Britannia, they have an overall aggressive demeanour and a love for contact sports, though he's actually very nice if you get to know him. They have a speech impediment that people used to (used to) mock them for, and he's considered dangerous despite only ever hurting people by accident.

Sodova Kesaid (She/Her) [extolCoastline] is a young troll from Nueva Hispania in the continent of Europa, she rejects the hemospectrum's modern interpretation as she sees it as symptomatic of both alternian ideology and a capitalist marketing ploy, of the other players only Naitch knows her true blood colour after winning the information in a bet. She is often very excitable and frequently runs her mouth for even longer than Huey, though she’s certainly capable of chilling out and relaxing.

Wexwex Dwemik (Any) [limbosExarch] is a purpleblood from out in the sticks on the Land of Frost and Frogs, and worships the “one true god”. He is a devout catholic, and in fact is one of very few that exist in the system (She only found out about it from historical texts discovered by her ancestor, and they were a bit muddled (leading to the belief that Earth’s catholics wore the same facepaint as Alternia’s clown church)), though they swear it'll catch on. Religion has consumed most facets of her life and his friends still miss the old Wexwex, they rarely want to talk about anything else at this point.

Zatika Saiyos (She/Her) [laconicLuminary] is a scarletblood, the recently-canonised thirteenth blood group, from Süddeutschland in Europa, who lives in the forest and considers herself a survivalist, those who know her say she must have inherited the paranoia of scarletbloods past and so it's hard for her to trust people. Due to living in the forest for most of her life she can be awkward and nervous around people.

Jace Everett (He/Him) [slapdashPoolshark] is an office worker from Zephyr who was invited to the game, never replied, but ends up in the session by accident anyway, he hates his job and generally struggles with finding motivation to do a lot of things, though he does enjoy complaining, he oftentimes seems tired, bordering on exhausted.
