Comic Theory: The Wilson family are descendants of the Shi'ar
Okay so here me out. There was a moment in comics where professor Xavier had a feeling Sam Wilson was a mutant (Thank god that was never confirmed. I still don't like that Kamala khan was confirmed mutant. I have my own issues with how BIPOC mutants are treated in comics.) and his contact with the stone just awakened latent gene's within him. Johnny Storm even asked Sam if he was sure he wasn't a mutant. But they never brought this train of thought back up. I always had a theory that either Darlene or Paul had pretended to be human to assimilate or have an ancestor that pretended to be human. That Sarah and Gideon as well as their kids also have dormant genes. Now that I watched episode six of X-Men 97 and seeing the Shi'ar race. A race of bird people that have a few people that have Psychic abilities. Who Xavier obviously has a lot of intimate knowledge about. Fun fact Shi'ar who breed with humans those hybrids are called Mutants. So what if those feelings Xavier was getting from Sam weren't a earth mutation but because he is a Shi'ar hybrid. It would answer why Sam always felt close connection to birds but couldn't explain why, the Psychic abilities, and why Sam has great feats of strength despite being "human". Also Newer Shi'ar tend to lose their bird features which is why lady deathbird has the metallic wings. So it would explain why we don't see the feathered hair and features. Everything points to the Wilsons being Shi'ar. We can even say high council Shi'ar since those with Psychic abilities we see in comics are on the council.

(I Want!) Someone to Love Me!
This is just a fun little goofy fic I got inspired to write. Might do a steamy secondary fic to this, idk. Enjoy! 🥰
Tumblr media
(I Want!) Someone to Love Me!
| Pairing: SamBucky | Rating: M | WC: 6.9 K |
Summary: A surprise visit by Gideon Wilson makes Sam and Bucky think about their relationship with each other.
Excerpt:
One second, Bucky was all over Sam. He was nipping at Sam’s jaw. He had one hand down in Sam’s back pocket, squeezing Sam’s ass. He was pressing close to Sam as he was about to finally start what they had only just begun. One second, Sam was overwhelmed with distracting, devastatingly raw emotions, needs. The next, Bucky was all the way on the other side of the kitchen. Just. Leaning on the island counter like he was totally normal and that was how human beings leaned on counters. It very much wasn’t what leaning on a counter was supposed to look like. Sam didn’t know why it wasn’t. But he knew by looking at Bucky that it really wasn’t. Sam didn’t have time to ask Bucky what the fuck just happened and why they weren’t continuing their silent sexy times agreement right this instant. No. Not when Sam heard the door open. “Sarah? Sam? Anybody?” called a voice that Sam knew well, “Oh – dang it, did I put my visit on the wrong day on the family google calendar again?"

Ehy do you like Gideon's story? Wasn't he abusive to his son Jim? Hulk found Jim living at a homeless settlement after all.
hmm, story wise he makes an interesting character. not all characters have to be "good" morally for us to like them. I liked how he effected Jim, sam and bruce's lives differently. but I would love to see a new version of him, a more expanded one (he was mostly used like a plot device in the comics).
and yes, he was shitty with his son, they never seen an eye to eye and he did disown him at a point, but I don't know (or remember) if he was physically abusive as well, if that's what you mean. jim basically flees home because of him but we see how much gideon regrets that later on when jim passes, so idk.
but like I said, in the hands of a good writer he could be a great character, even if we don't have to like his morals as a reader.

Ummm did we just meet Gideon Wilson? Does that mean he’s gonna show up in a Sam project? Because I’m telling you right now, I’d rather eat a jean jacket than see Spellman’s take on Gideon Wilson and the story arc that played out in the comics 😐 , especially if he’s a prosecutor which is really just a cop
Of course I want Sam to have more family and friends but I don’t trust the writer. Also, why wasn’t he mentioned in TFATWS? Okay, when Sam is making calls about the boat and refers to himself as “Paul’s youngest son from up the street,” it makes it sound like he has an older brother, but why wasn’t Gideon discussed at all?
And is She-Hulk gonna somehow end up helping set up the plot for Cap 4??? If Gideon and the Hulk are gonna continue to be involved that would add up, but still… What is happening???
See this is why we just need another writer… now I’ve got anxiety about what could be a simple and meaningless Easter egg lol

WHY DID NO ONE TELL ME GIDEON WILSON SHOWS UP IN SHE-HULK?!
I asked a million times where he was in Falcon+Winter Soldier. Does he know Sam and Sarah and Bucky fixed the boat? Does he know Sam gave the wings away and then got Wakanda-grade ones? Does he know Sarah is getting flirty with a hot 100+ year old former-assassin cyborg?
I have been waiting on him ever since Sam made that phone call referring to himself as "Paul's youngest boy" implying Paul Wilson has an older boy. AND HERE HE IS WORKING AS A PROSECUTOR. THANK YOU, MARVEL. I THOUGHT YOU ERASED HIM.

Based only on Sam saying he was "Paul's youngest boy," I built a whole headcanon for Gideon Wilson, where he's a half-brother from a previous marriage who is a good bit older and resentful that his dad had this whole second family, and that Sam and Sarah had a much more idyllic childhood than his.
And yet, when I saw the name Gideon Wilson in She-Hulk, I told my husband, "That's the name of Sam’s brother in the comics," AND NEVER THOUGHT ABOUT IT AGAIN. I am so disappointed in myself.

First Flight
Tumblr media
First Flight
| Gen Fic/Family Fic | Rated: G | WC: 646 | Family Feels, Gideon POV, First Flight |
Summary: Gideon lets his little brother climb a tree. He doesn't expect his brother to jump out of the tree too.
Tumblr media
The tree was a Flowering Dogwood.
Gideon knew this because his siblings had asked him last week after church while waiting for their parents to finish their goodbyes to friends and the gossiping old ladies. Gideon had winked and said it was a secret, but then spent the rest of the week investigating what kind of tree this particular one was.
Pale-green, almost white from a distance, four-petaled flowers with green clusters in the middle. Finally toothed leaves which change color in the fall weather. Deeply grooved, reddish-brown bark.
It was a Flowering Dogwood.
At least.
That was what Ms. Stacy of the Youth Group said when Gideon broke down and asked her.
But nonetheless, Gideon's siblings gazed upon him in awe as he told them about this secret tree a week later.
"I'm going to climb the secret tree," whispered Sam as he turned his eyes back to the now orange-red leaved Flowering Dogwood.
Sam had gotten into the habit of climbing things. Not that Gideon completely kept track of the different phases his younger siblings went through, but this phase had stood out in particular for how long it had gone on.
Sam would climb the stairs on the wrong side of the railing, only to be thwarted by one of their parents a few feet up. They would now find Sam on the top of a bookshelf, sprawled out like a cat with the latest comic whenever they went to the library. Apparently, Sam started to sit on top of his desk at school during lessons too.
Gideon probably should tell Sam to stop. But he saw Sarah excitedly nodding in agreement and Gideon really couldn't say no to his little brother.
"Go for it," said Gideon as he watched Sam run over to the tree without his permission.
Sam climbed much more proficiently than Gideon ever could up the sixteen-foot tree, skittering almost halfway up before taking a break.
Sarah, for her part, seemed in awe of what Sam had just done. She gazed, agape at Sam six feet off the ground before she blurted, "You're so good at that!"
"Do you want to be a rock climber or something?" asked Gideon, wondering if he should see if there's a gym nearby for Sam.
"No," said Sam, and in a horrifying twist, turned to face outward to his siblings, "I want to be a bird!"
Gideon wasn't sure what he expected a six-year-old boy to say. And while Gideon sprinted over to try to catch Sam, or possibly just buffer the kid's fall, he couldn't help but notice how happy Sam was in the air.
The look of pure joy on Sam's face as he soared.
And Sam had been happy before, but he never looked this happy. This was what all the climbing was about. And Gideon had just given Sam his first opportunity to actually jump.
Gideon felt a little less happy about the situation when all fifty pounds of Sam fell on top of him, toppling them both to the ground.
Though.
Gideon got over it quickly once Sam started laughing maniacally. A little boy filled with giggles and adrenaline.
"Again. I need to do that again," said the adrenaline junkie in the making before Gideon wrapped his arms around Sam and kept Sam in his clutches.
"Nope. Let's figure out a safer way for you to fly," said Gideon, wondering just how he was going to do that before settling on, "You can jump out of the tree again next week."
And yeah, there were people watching the three of them now. The old ladies were gossiping as they always did. Gideon could hear their parents walking over and asking what happened. But all Gideon could focus on was the look of joy Sam had as Sam gazed at that Flowering Dogwood, probably thinking about that first flight.

I havent watched any shehulk so what is it saying about gideon wilson
I haven't watched it either😭only the gifs😂😂😂
From what I understood, there's a character named Gideon Wilson that was mentionned in the show, but it's not stated whether he's related to Sam or not? (It could also be a coincidence ?)
Anybody who has watched the show and can help?

SamBucky AU idea!!!
There's an app you can download that helps bring people together to fund trips. You type in your interests, hobbies, likes and dislikes, and any preferences. The app matches you with people based on similarities and the amount of money willing to put forth for the group. Typically, the groups are a bit large so the funds are even throughout the group, instead of just a few people paying the majority. But Sam has just inherited some money from his late brother, who has recently passed away. And although he would have put it towards the boat, or towards his nephews' saving accounts, his brother instructed him to use it for one thing and one thing only.
Gideon wants Sam to retrace the steps he'd taken around the world. Gideon left home young, after their parents had died and Sam was old enough to take care of himself and Sarah. He writes all of this to Sam in a letter, explaining that they were better off without him and although he distanced himself, it was never their fault. Gideon just couldn't handle it.
Stricken with grief, Sam takes throughout the winter to come to terms with everything with Sarah by his side. So they wait until AJ and Cass are out on summer break so they can all go. Sam uses that app, although he is very suspicious of having other people with them, and is paired with a group of people who just needed one more person to pitch in. There's Steve Rogers, Sharon Carter, Bucky and Kobik Barnes, Misty Knight, and Colleen Wing. He chats with some of them to work things out and they seem friendly enough.
Steve and Sharon are definitely still in their honeymoon phase. They wander off a lot.
Bucky and his daughter Kobik often take stops to try out desserts. Both have a huge sweet tooth. Almost worryingly so.
Misty and Colleen are into the more active parts of discovering new places. They explore the cities and do as much as they can. They wake up early and sometimes stay out late, but they join the group's dinner without fail.
Bucky's a polyglot, so he's often the middle-man. And luckily for him, Sam is a man with a lot of questions. Maybe too many to be reasonable but Bucky likes learning with him. Sam's smile is nice.
AJ, Cass, and Kubik get along super quick. Sarah can depend on Sam and Bucky to watch over the kids while she enjoys some spa days. Although at dinner, she misses them so much that she peppers them with an embarrassing amount of kisses.
