i think the funniest/worst thing ive done this year is read the most incredible grief-ridden horror manga while listening to the cutest softest lovey dovey song i know

OKAY, YALL.

THIS IS ENTIRELY MY OWN OPINION. Some of you may agree, some may disagree. I’m not going to judge anyone based on their opinions unless they are biased against something reasonable.

OKAY SO THE COLLECTOR’S ENDING MAKES ALMOST NO SENSE TO ME. LIKE, THE POOR LITTLE GUY HAS BEEN THROUGH NOTHING BUT PAIN AND LONELINESS FOR ALMOST HIS ENTIRE LIFE SO FAR, AND THEN HE FREAKING LEAVES THE BOILING ISLES!?

Y’know how Luz was planning on punishing herself by leaving the Boiling Isles permanently? Like, if Luz had ended up telling her friends about her plan, they would have been like, “I DON’T THINK SO.” But with the Collector they were like, “Mhm. Go ahead.” LIKE, WHY!? And honestly, how is Luz of all people somehow okay with that, especially after learning about how much pain and suffering he went through in order to find people who understand him, and who will love him for who he is, not because he’s willing to work for them or give them what they want!? Even if he made a ton of mistakes, he’s a lot like Luz in the fact that he didn’t truly know what he was doing wrong. But Luz learned to forgive herself and make things right, but the Collector just walks out of there?? After FINALLY FINDING HIS PEOPLE!?

In my opinion, it goes against his entire character arc! He hated being alone so much that he was willing to make a deal with ANYONE who promised to give him what he wanted, even if they were lying to him. THE POOR GUY IS SO DESPERATE!!! May I also point out that they made LITERALLY EVERY CHARACTER BUT THE COLLECTOR HAVE A SUPPORTIVE ADULT FIGURE WAITING FOR THEM IN THE FINALE!? LIKE, WHAT!? In addition to all of this, I bet they TOTALLY would have helped with the repairs to be done on the Boiling Isles, and it would have gone a LOT faster if he had helped.

Also, if the Collector was REALLY visits them on the Boiling Isles, then how come he didn’t ACTIVELY SHOW UP FOR LUZ’S BIRTHDAY!? All king said was that the Collector “HAPPENED TO BE IN THE AREA”, implying that it was pure luck that he was even around AT ALL.

Just to note for future reference, when getting a comm from me just know i will not work on it until half is paid up front. This is to ensure im not completely scammed by a commissioner, as it has happened before. And PLEASE do not try to get a comm from me until you actually have the money to pay. Again, i won't work on it until im paid half up front and if i have to wait a long time until you pay even the first half to begin with im going to have to assume you're waiting to get free art from me. And i do block over that.

I don't like assuming bad intentions in people either but sometimes i kinda have to because there are people out there who will do this maliciously.
