Half asleep, suffering from the 4th vaccine but I’ll take a pic anyway 🤷🏻♀️

I preface this with: if it is safe for you to do so go get your flu jab, or at least book your appointment. What follows is not anti-vaccine, it is "what the hell is your reasoning for this change in policy, they are allergic to the vaccine you idiots".
So, my brain just had a moment of "I need an answer to this question" and I've been distracted from that question by this:
According to the cdc (uk*), as of this flu season if you have an egg allergy it is ok "regardless of the severity of previous reaction to egg" for you to "receive any vaccine (egg-based or non-egg-based)"
And, do you want to know why I book to get a flu shot every year? Because my mum can't have one. Because she's allergic to eggs. She is also immuno-compromised.
Do you know how the doctors figured out she had an egg allergy? She had an egg-based vaccine. And collapsed. In seconds. In. The. Doctors. Office.
Look, I accept the severity of the reaction my mum has to eggs is truly horrifying and extreme. It's on a 'if eggs aerosolled like nut oils do, she couldn't be in the same enclosed space as them' level.
Do you want to know what seems to be the reasoning for saying it's fine? If you're receiving the vaccine you'll be somewhere where they can manage your hyper-acute reaction. So you know. Have anaphylaxis. Deal with consequences later. Presumably warn the person whose about to give you the vaccine that they will need to rush you into hospital for treatment as soon as they are done, making sure to dose you with Epinephrine every few minutes along the way.
What is wrong with these people?
Apparently "People who have had a severe allergic reaction to other components that are in a flu vaccine should not receive vaccines that contain that component", but the egg component doesn't matter? What, is the hyper-acute allergic reaction treatment not good enough for them, but it is if you're only allergic to little ol' eggs?
Insanity.
Anyway, protect your loved, indifferent and hated ones, and if you can, go get your flu jab.
*all quotes are from the american cdc because their website is more navigable, but the advise boils down to the same on the uk, the NHS still says you're at risk of allergic reactions.

If you either don't have insurance or, for whatever reason, yours charges a copay/doesn't cover the full cost for the COVID-19 booster shot this year, the CDC has a program to cover the cost. It's scheduled to end on December 31st, 2024. Obviously, this is US centric, though.
cdc.gov/vaccines/programs/bridge/index.html is the website for info on it.
Please get your booster shot when it's available to you (as well as your flu shot, which is available now; I already got my flu shot on 9/7 and I'm just waiting to be able to get my COVID-19 booster shot). Also please restart or continue to mask properly with N-95 or KN-95 masks, wash your hands often, social distance, stay home when you're sick, test at least twice 36-48 hours apart if you suspect you've been infected with COVID-19, and get tested if you think you caught the flu.
It never went anywhere, even with the emergency being lifted earlier this year. People are still being infected, ending up hospitalized and/or in the ICU, risking long COVID and other complications, and dying. And it's not just the most vulnerable amongst us who are being affected, though we should care enough about ourselves and our fellow human beings to do what's right, even if it was only affecting the most vulnerable; they are still at elevated risk of COVID-19, RSV, and the flu, but they can affect us all, no matter how healthy we think we are.
I'm feeling extra passionately about as many people as possible getting vaccinated for the flu and COVID and taking basic mitigating steps right now because someone I love very deeply is really immunocompromised and caught COVID, wound up in the ICU because of it, was discharged and told to quarantine at home for 14 days as of this past Sunday, and yet just tested positive for the flu. However, I'm one of the few who never stopped masking and doing my best to avoid exposure, for myself, for him, and for everyone I come in contact with and everyone they come in contact with.

Hi everyone. If you are in America, or near the American border on the east side of Canada, please get your polio booster if you can, or the polio vaccine if you didn't get it as a child.
Polio has been found in the NYC waste water.
Polio is more infectious than the alpha variant of covid was, and more infectious than the flu.
While 75-90% of people who contract it will not show symptoms, they are still contagious.
Polio causes a variety of symptoms like partial or compete paralysis, lifelong muscle pain and weakness, and/or viral meningitis.
There is no cure for polio. Only prevention and then management of the symptoms.

I didn't realize how much I needed time off of work just to feel better. I caught a 48-hour cold (thank gosh, nothing worse!), and just having the weekend off, I'm so much better. I also needed sun and time away from the office.
Even thought it's warm and sunny where I am- make sure to rest, hydrate, and take care of yourselves properly during this season 💖✨️❤️🔥

Shocking news: “When you're infected with #measles, your #immune system abruptly forgets every pathogen it's ever encountered before – every cold, every bout of flu, every exposure to bacteria or viruses, every #vaccination. The loss is near-total and permanent.” If you are #antivax, you are courting death.
Please Vaccinate!

i think childe being a fox gives him too much credit,, i think he seems scrappier? like he’s sly and everything but he’s hanging on by a thread
maybe a fox with mange?
why must my boy constantly be slandered T-T i did actually consider either going with a more traditional predator because of, y'know, the way he just generally is, but i think being a big, dumb, sorta blood-thirsty canine just suits him so well, plus the underdog and kind scheme-y vibes of a classic red fox just suit him so well. being reminded that foxes hunt in the winder by jumping three feet in the air and diving head-first into snowbanks also really sealed the deal. it shows the same amount of pre-planning that must've gone into childe's decision to summon a god to flood the city he was still very much in and i respect him for that.
