Woken up 🕷️
You get woken up by miguel eating you out
w/c: 2.1K
pairing: miguel o’hara x f!reader
tags: 18+ smut. fwb, some kind of plot, lots of teasing, spend time apart, he finds you in bed, can't help it, eats you out, but you're asleep, kinda dub-con, somno, you wake up
Miguel didn't do relationships which was why everyone thought it was odd and strange when he was always so soft towards you. You didn't question it, you thought you'd just given him the best first impression possible but that wasn't exactly the case.
He was fascinated by you, captivated by your beauty, wit, and sarcasm. Although it irritated him that you were one of the few that wasn't afraid to stand up to him or talk back, that was one of the things he especially liked about you.
He eventually started flirting with you as well as seeing how you'd react when giving you little touches like his hand pressed against the small of your back, or lightly wrapping his arm around your shoulder. When he saw you ease into it, he started testing the waters a little more by putting his hand on your knee, or getting his face really close to yours. Even took it a step further and would have his hand on your thigh rubbing circles on it.
Eventually you caught on and started doing the same to see how he liked it. Well he did, but in another sense he didn't. He hated the effect you had on him almost instantly. His ego was never going to let him cave before you.
He was slightly teasing you even more by going behind you breathing down your neck when you were alone or have his hands on your hips when you stood still.
You didn't always wear your suit at HQ sometimes having some sweats around or just a hoodie with the suit underneath, and he allowed it until you started wearing provocative clothing. He couldn't stand the idea of other people staring at you the way he did so he told you that you were no longer an exception to that rule but you had fun while it lasted wearing tops and dresses that accentuated every inch and curve of your body.
So then you took your tight fitted suit to your advantage by rubbing your ass against him "on accident" and even going as far as reaching down to pick something up from the floor when you knew he was watching.
He then decided enough was enough and he quickly grabbed your hand and dragged you to his office to finally have you. He demanded you take off your suit while he took his off. When you were both fully nude he smashed your lips together and his hands were all over your body, feeling how soft your skin was and you were feeling him at the same time. A passionate and almost hungry kiss. All the teasing that lead up to this had you both aching to just get to it. So you did.
That didn't end up being the last time you did it at HQ and you'd go to him when you needed his touch and vice versa.
Turns out both of you were always so needy so he made you share his office with him. It made your lives much easier instead of running and swinging around trying to find each other.
You both tried to be as discreet as possible not wanting to bring attention to yourselves even more than before. It didn't stop your friends from pestering you to tell them about it. Miles and Gwen being the most curious and nosy. Good thing you had an incredible poker face and were a decent liar. Hobie on the other hand kind of read through you but you knew he wouldn't say anything.
It did end up going under the radar and they soon stopped asking questions and focusing on putting Hobie on with someone which didn't go well..... You thought you were in the clear and your secret would just be forever hidden until Jess ended up catching you on your knees in front of Miguel in your shared office. She quickly looked away and said she didn't see a thing and left.
She ended up pulling you aside a few days after and asking how you managed to do that out of curiosity and you just shrugged confused by it yourself. She didn't tell a soul and the secret has been hidden for five months now.
You both always had to keep it at a minimum considering you both move in and out of universes especially when you aren't always in the same teams for missions. Although you were practically his right hand girl he didn't always automatically schedule you to be on his team, especially if it was high odds of it being hard to complete or really dangerous.
But this led to him seeing you a bit less given he didn't want to put you in any danger and the timing was never on point.
He felt himself crave you at moments he shouldn't. He thought of you, and your body in the middle of missions, he'd try to shake off the ideas, and positions he wanted you in but it was extremely hard. You were always the first and last thing he thought of right when the day started and ended.
It was the same way for you but you had slightly more time on your hands because he let you choose what you wanted to help out with at HQ. You'd help out your friends, read up on files, and label vials. But always in the back of your mind was Miguel and the way he would touch you, breathe you in, please you.
Something you had always wanted to try with Miguel was somnophilia, whether it be you or him giving each other head while you slept. He loved the idea but as time wasn't ever on your sides it never happened. But it was always on the back of your mind anytime you went to sleep.
You went to sleep tired as fuck after a long day of dealing with all the dipshits not doing their job right in your regular job on your Earth during the morning, and helping out at HQ almost directly after. You decided to go back to your Earth after you were done putting away the anomalies you successfully caught. You changed as fast as possible only wearing a random shirt and some panties. You went straight to bed and knocked the fuck out.
Miguel went to go find you in your room at HQ but he didn't see you there and went back to his own quarters. He went into his room seeing you weren't in his bed either and began to panic. Then he realized there was one other place you could be and he made a portal to go to your Earth.
He walked through and was in your living room. He closed the portal and walked to your room quietly. He open the door slowly trying to not make any noise and goes inside. He closes it slowly and turns around, a sigh of relief leaving his mouth seeing you asleep on your bed.
Although you've been mainly just fucking around he's grown close to you, he's grown to care for you more than he imagined.
He walked closer to your bed, right on the edge as he looks as you closely. Your shirt had gone up to your back exposing your lower back and curves. One of your legs was laid straight down and the other was lifted up. One hand under your cheek and the other swung out.
He easily took notice of the tiny red thing you were wearing. His mind was already running wild and he hasn't seen you in a few days. He felt hungry.
He moves to the left side of your side and sat down by your legs. His fingers lightly went up and down your legs and thighs. Good thing you were a heavy sleeper.
He felt bold so he moved your already stretched out leg a bit farther so now you were a bit arched, more than before that is. His mouth salivated at the sight in front of him. He knew if he started there was no going back.
His fingers lightly traced up and down your leg, he noticed you didn't move so he went higher up his hands playing with your ass. You stirred a tiny bit and he stopped but then kept going. He carefully tried to take your thong off but knew he wouldn't be able to peel it off from your knees. He tried but just left them there.
His eyes widen at your already slick cunt. He smirks and lays down between your legs. He lightly blows against your slit and you squirm a bit making him chuckle. He spreads your ass then lets go letting it jiggle and he swears. He's never played with you unconscious but you've both talked about trying it someday, and right now was the perfect time for him to try.
He leaves a kiss to your slit then kitten licks down to your clit and moves back up to your slit absolutely loving how you taste. It's something he can never get tired of.
After a few minutes of him doing that and not much movement from you, he decided to change his pace.
He was then devouring your pussy as if it were his last meal. Not stopping and wrapping his arms tightly against your hips. You were now squirming and slowly waking up. But he wasn't going to stop until you came all over his mouth conscious or unconscious.
You were now letting out some moans and your breathing becoming unsteady. Miguel moans against your pussy and collected all your dripping juices on his tongue. Suddenly you let out a shaky breath, opening your eyes, and wake up letting out a whimper.
This made Miguel even more feral and he went down to suck on your clit making you squirm but he held you down how he needed. "M-Miggy?" You asked breathless, your eyes hazy and feeling his hands grip you harder.
"Oh- o-oh fuck- Miguel." You whine and spread your legs so he can have more space.
He smacks your ass as a thanks and you moan into your pillow. You could hear the slurping noises and his tongue working it's magic making you somehow even more wet. You could feel him go up and down your slit and even tease your hole making you whimper. He gently spreads your folds and you feel him blow on it making you shiver. "y-you're sick-"
"Te encanta nena." He murmurs and goes back to it very softly and slowly trying to stick his tongue in your pussy. (You love it baby)
You whimper again and feel your body shiver and your orgasm fast approaching. "M-Miggy- fuck- asi así-" you whine and try to buck your hips against his mouth. (Like that, like that)
He pulls away and spit on it and dives right back in. You feel him lick down to your clit when suddenly he slides one finger inside you accidentally going all the way because of your slickness. You whimper and he sticks another finger in and starts pumping them in and out of you fast. You squirm and he starts curling them up and going deeper inside you.
His mouth is on your clit sucking on it and his fingers dripping while coming in and out of you. "M- fuck! Miguel- amor no parres- i-I'm so close-" (don’t stop)
He goes even faster, deeper, his mouth devours your folds and sensitive clit making your legs start to shake. He never pulls away, practically making out with your clit and fucking you with his fingers when he suddenly adds a third and you clench against them moaning out and feeling so close.
Your legs start shaking and that feeling in your stomach coming up fast. The final moan was a mix of that, a scream, and a whimper. Miguel slows down as you ride your high and lets go of his grip on your hips.
He leaves little kisses on your thighs before slowly taking his fingers out of you. You whimper suddenly feeling empty and can't seem to move, extremely used up and tired. He pulls your shirt down and gets in bed pulling you towards him. You were still shaking as it's been a while since Miguel's last been able to play with you.
"Estas bien amor. I'm here." He whispers leaves a kiss on your cheek. (You're okay my love)
Your breathing calms down and you look up at him. "T-thanks." You whisper and weakly smile.
"Of course. I mean I just couldn't help it...." He whispers and leaves a small peck on your lips before pulling away.
"Go to sleep angel, I'll be here tomorrow I promise." Was the last thing you heard before falling asleep in his arms.

warnings: age gap, tattoo artist! colby x reader, alcohol
"Angel's wings!" your best friend exclaims, speaking completely seriously. Your other friend approves, clapping her hands eagerly. "Get them tattooed!"
You almost choke on your drink when you hear how seriously Katrina gives you a new idea for your first tattoo. If someone told you that friendship between three people doesn't exist, you would laugh at them. The three of you are living proof that it's not the number of people in the group that matters, but the love that exists between you. Each of you is different, but that is the most beautiful thing. There is nothing worse than boredom and monotony in friendship.
"Come on, you'll be eighteen in an hour. Do something that will make you happy, not your parents." Sophia, usually the voice of reason, tries to convince you.
You don't know if it's the alcohol you just drank, but in a split second you undergo an internal transformation. You'll be of age in an hour. No one will be able to lecture you. Even your parents who, instead of spending this birthday time with their daughter, decided to go to the mountains. At first you reacted with sadness, but over time you were glad that the situation had turned out this way because you could invite your two favorite girls over for the night.
Katrina and Sophia look at you with impatient eyes, encouraging you to make a quick decision. You take a deep breath, tilting your head back. As pathetic as it sounds, you try your hardest to get advice from the ceiling.
You look back at your waiting friends. They send drunken glances your way, which only reinforces the fact that you must probably look like one of them at this point. Sophia and Katarina's eyes widen. Something unexpected is about to happen; something that will change the course of history forever.
Katarina clenches her fists like a true boxing legend, preparing for the worst possible scenario. With each subsequent inhalation, you feel even more excitement and arousal wash over you. You open your mouth to announce the official verdict.
"If not now, never, right?"
After saying these words, you're crushed under the bodies of these two freaks. And, you swear to yourself that if your parents had been home, after all those squeals of happiness, you would have ended up under a bridge.
"The best decision you've ever made, Y/n! I'm so proud," Sophia squeals excitedly, and Katrina joins in. You realize that you still hold the glass in your hand. You hiss, knowing that you'll definitely need to change the sheets of your bed after tonight. "Don't worry about it! Let's go to the tattoo artist!"
"Now?" you keep mumbling under their bodies.
Katrina and Sophia step away from you, exchanging meaningful glances with each other. You are finally able to catch your breath, but you don't really understand what they're trying to tell you.
"Yes. Now." Sophia grins. "Katrina, are you thinking about the same person as me?"
The friend nods her head in response, also with a big grin on her face.
"Oh, yeah! The handsomest, hottest and most expensive tattoo artist in town," she starts counting and you wonder why you've never heard of him before. "Y/n, we guarantee you the best fucking fun."
"Let's fucking do this!" They both squeal, grabbing your hands and pulling you out of the bed.
***
"You guys didn't even give me a chance to change clothes!"
You are wearing a black body suit and really low rise jeans so people on the street can see a bit of skin, which makes you feel a little uncomfortable.
"You look great." Sophia assures you and Katrina nods to her. Well, they're wearing perfectly balanced sweaters compared to you. They decided to make you the main star without outshining you with clothes. You feel like standing out of the crowd, which you don't like very much.
"Do you think this tattoo artist will accept us without prior consultation?" you ask, genuinely curious. "Maybe we should call him? We'd better get back home..."
"Relax, Y/n," you turn into a street you've probably never been to. Katrina tries to convince you, but with each step you take, you become less and less sure. Even though your parents have well-paid jobs, they usually don't let you hang around the rich districts. They would be disappointed if they knew that while they were away their daughter was getting a tattoo, not really knowing where.
"You said he was an expensive tattoo artist. I don't think I want to spend money this way." You continue, feeling the alcohol drain from you. You regain consciousness and regret saying yes to your friends. "Maybe we should really turn back?"
"Y/n," you stop in front of a building emanating LED light. The girls move closer to you and one of them puts a hand on your shoulder. Sophia, the fucking voice of reason, says:
"He is my brother's friend. They have been friends since childhood. He practiced on my brother, making the first patterns. He would never take money from me or my friends. We are always out of line. Trust me, you're in good hands."
"He was the one who gave me that big tattoo you liked so much," finishes Katrina.
You sigh, trying to convince yourself first and foremost. Sophia pulls out her phone and brings it closer to your face.
The first thing that catches your eye are the huge white numbers on the screen. What's more, they don't seem blurry at all. You must be really sober. You take a deep breath, recalling the quote of your favorite teacher in your head.
12:00. Carpe diem.
"It's time to go fucking crazy, Y/n."
***
"Sophia? What's for today?" It’s a male voice. Raspy, yet soft. The sound of it makes you whip your head over to your friends, but you're trying to stay calm. He lets out a heavy sigh before humming to himself in thought. Only after a while he notices that Sophia is not alone. "And who is this?"
"Hello, Colby. Meet Y/n, your new client."
And the way he shakes your hand is firm but gentle, not as hard as you think it'd be given the size of his biceps probably are larger than your head. But then he softly grips your elbow and guides you into the chair with a hand on your back. "Don't worry, I don't bite."
"Well, I thought I would have to convince you.. longer."
You flush a little under his gaze because he's noticed how you're shaking like a leaf next to him. And the way he smiles indicates he might enjoy biting you anyways... and maybe you'd let him.
"I was just about to close, but you know perfectly well that I will always make an exception for you, Sophia." Your friend smiles at his words.
"So, what are we doing tonight?" he focuses all his attention on you. You swallow, not really knowing what to answer. Katrina decides to save your ass from total embarrassment.
"Angel's wings."
He looks like he's about to roll his eyes.
"Seriously, I can't count how many girls asked me for the exact same pattern. Try something more creative."
"I'd like to stick with the wings, please. In a place invisible to the eye."
"Getting a tattoo so you don't show it to anyone? How old are you anyway?"
"Eighteen." He doesn't look convinced. With one movement of your hand, you pull your ID from your back pocket. Colby, as you can guess, surprised by the concrete, grabs the ID in his hand and looks at it carefully.
"She's so young." When he talks about you in the third person, something happens to you. "Are you sure you want those fucking wings?"
"Come on, Colby. You did this to my brother many times." Sophia interjects. "Don't ruin her birthday."
"Ah, yes. Happy birthday or something." You can tell he’s in a good mood based on the playful amusement in his voice.
"Thanks," you hang your head.
"We have to do something about her shyness." he turns to your friends.
"Maybe wings between her tits? I bet no girl has ever asked for this," suggests Katrina. You almost choke on your saliva. You want to get up from that chair and run out.
"That sounds perfect." His voice is sweet with a touch of flirtiness, and you swear you can hear the smile in it. "What do you think, Y/n?"
"There's no way I'm going to show you my tits." You take courage. Colby laughs loudly. He clearly takes pleasure in your attitude and shakes his head, leaning in to watch you.
"It's your choice." You bite at your lip instead of answering him.
"Come on, Y/n. We won't look either." Katrina says and Sophia nods.
You've already succumbed to them once in a while. Nothing will stop you from doing it again.
The girls send you their last kisses. After a while, it's just you and your tattoo artist left in the room.
***
You're honestly glad when the uncomfortable silence is drowned out by the song "Ultraviolence" by Lana Del Rey. You asked to simply turn on the radio, but you were surprised when Colby asked you for the title. What was even weirder was when he used the fucking vinyl of one of your favorite albums instead of Spotify.
He hums to himself. "Those are nice."
You got rid of your bra. No one has ever complimented your boobs, but you smile slightly, burying your face in your hands.
He gives you a little wink before stenciling what you had in mind, his fingertips tracing the lines of the ink that leaves goosebumps across your skin.
There's a lingering feeling as he pulls his hand back. You think he's toying with you. Frightful little thing, you are and here he is wanting to play with his pretty little client. Next thing you know, his hand is around your throat.
You tense and realize that he has moved some of your hair to the other side to give more access to the space between your tits. It definitely could have been done easier and better, but the twinkle in his eyes said he did it on purpose. Oh yes, he was definitely having fun with you. The way his hand barely grazed your throat and the side of your neck before he would gently scratch your arm with his blunt nails and pull away.
He let's out a huff of quiet laughter and then gets his tools ready. "So, y/n, you have a safeword?"
And you're brought out of your thoughts about his large hands because... "Huh?"
"A safeword. It's big."
W..what's big? You can't stop your eyes from flitting down to his thighs and what may lie between them. He laughs and shifts so your eyes are instantly back up and staring at his eyes that glimmer in amusement.
"The tattoo, I mean. It's a big piece. Need to know if it'll be too much, yeah?"

You think your first date was a success.
Malia, your date, did everything right. She held open the door for you, made you laugh, and walked you home with your hand in hers. Her hands were soft, contrasting Ellie’s calloused fingers and dry hands, and by the end of the walk they had grown clammy. She smelled like coconut milk and pink pepper, and her ginger hair stretched passed her shoulders. When she spoke her tone was gentle, her words almost sickly sweet as they fell from her lips. On paper she was perfect.
But as the two of you approached your apartment building and her cherry-flavored lips met yours, it wasn’t like you had imagined. You were unsure if you sitting in Ellie’s lap earlier that night had anything to do with the sour taste left in your mouth as you gave her another kiss goodnight, but it certainly wasn’t helping.
“We should do this again.” Malia practically shouted as you walked up the stairs to your building's entrance. “I had a lot of fun tonight.”
“We should,” An odd feeling settled in your chest. “Text me, yeah?”
“Okay, I will.” Her smile held warmth in it, her cheeks growing red. It was obvious she was really into the date and while your chest swelled with pride, it also didn’t swell with the same affection she was harboring. A part of you assumed that love didn’t happen gradually and that your feelings would only grow as time went on, but you couldn’t be sure of that at this moment. All you knew was that she was practically perfect, but she wasn’t Ellie.
The whole night all you could think about was the fact that everything she did was the complete opposite of what Ellie would do. Your whole brain felt muddy as you searched around in your bag for keys wondering why you suddenly felt the need to compare your date to your best friend. It would never work out between you and Ellie anyways… right?
It wasn’t like you hadn’t found Ellie attractive when you first met her, but you were inexperienced and way too shy to flirt with her. As a result, the friend zone became a permanent place for you and Ellie. There was a comfortable haze that settled in the air when you were with her and it was a growing fear of yours that something could jeopardize it, and knowing Ellie that was entirely plausible.
You wouldn’t go to the lengths of saying that Ellie was a ‘fuck boy’ but it was clear she got around. On many different occasions, you had let yourself into her apartment and been met with varying girls, all of whom Ellie claimed she would never call back. You had to actively ignore the disappointment you felt each time you interrupted her with someone, and the anxiety at your throat when she claimed she was already over them. You knew Ellie would never abandon you like that, but it was still a possibility.
Whatever feelings you had when you first met her, however, were now shoved down into a deep place in your brain that was threatening to come to the surface again. You didn’t want her to be anything but ‘your Ellie’ and you desperately wanted to remain ‘her petal’. At this moment there was nothing more important to you than keeping the small semblance of domestic bliss that you had with her.
As you hung up your bag and began to take off your coat you felt your phone vibrate in the pocket. It was almost perfect timing from Ellie seeing as you would have spent the entire night searching for your phone and thinking Malia had robbed you.
E: How’s the date going? Or how did it go?
E: Unsure of my timing rn.
Y: it WENT well… she was cute
E: Did you use any of my techniques?
Y: no nothing happened, we just kissed goodnight and then she left
Y: plus you didn’t teach me any techniques you just made out with me
Y: hoping that was free lesson cause idk if i can afford the ellie williams tuition
E: That’s boring.
E: No action? I mean it’s Friday night.
E: It’s always gonna be free for you, Petal.
Y:  no action :(
E: Poor baby.
E: We should fix that.
E: Want me to come over? We can smoke and you can tell me all about this very boring date.
Y: IT WASN’T BORING STOP THAT
Y: and yes, my answer is always going to be yes to smoking with u
E: When you got so high that one time and bit me…
E: Don’t bite me again.
E: Wait actually…
Y: perv
E: Shut up.
You got undressed and changed into the same outfit that you slept in every night, an old t-shirt and grey sweatshirts. For a moment you contemplated not taking off your makeup, wanting to look nice for Ellie, but your need for comfort won you over this time. It wasn’t too long later that Ellie was making her way into your apartment and placing her backpack down on the floor. You moved to stand in the doorframe of your bedroom shooting a pointed look at Ellie.
“What are you looking at me like that for?” She removed her coat and threw it over the couch revealing her own casual outfit underneath: A loose t-shirt and grey sweatpants. Fuck, she looked good in those swea-
“You should really knock, Ellie,” This same lecture had poured from your mouth every time she did this, but she never stopped. Truth be told, Ellie liked the idea of coming home to you, just letting herself in and setting her shit down as she had just done. It was a small act in the large umbrella of romantically ambiguous things the two of you had gotten used to doing.
If Ellie was being honest with herself she would finally admit that whatever relationship the two of you had always bordered on the verge of no longer being platonic. She would just find herself doing things for you that she would never do for anyone else. She always let you smoke for free, voted on whatever movie you wanted to watch during movie night just to see you smile, and she was doing shit like she had done tonight.
The minute you left for your date Ellie was glued to her phone, patiently waiting for you to tell her the date went to shit and that you needed her to come over and light up with you. As the night went on Ellie found herself anxiously bouncing her leg and obsessively checking your location. She was supposed to be working tonight, but instead, she was cyberstalking her best friend who was on a date. This time it was her turn to feel like a loser.
“Then why did you give me a key?” She walked over to you, hands in her pockets as she leaned up against your door frame. Your oversized t-shirt swallowed you whole hiding the shorts you had on underneath. You looked so at home, so comfortable, and everything in Ellie’s head turned to mush as she imagined pulling you into her by your hips and kissing the lecture right off your lips.
“For emergencies.” Your eyes instinctively rolled at her but you knew you could never be mad at her. You secretly liked it as much as she did.
“I thought it was an emergency. You know, that your date was sooo boring that you needed me to come and take care of you.” From her pocket she pulled out a skinny plastic container, popping open the top with her pointer and thumb and shaking the joint into her hand. “Plus, I bought you free weed so you can’t be too mad at me, Petal.”
“It wasn’t boring, stop saying that.” You took the joint from her hand and led her over to your side table where you kept your lighter. Placing the tip of the joint between your lips you attempted to light your lighter as you sat on your bed, but failed.
“The fact that you still don’t know how to use your lighter is beyond me.” Ellie walked over to you, taking the lighter from your hands. “What would you do without me?”
You were about to roll your eyes when Ellie’s free hand found the bottom of your chin, lifting it up slowly so you were looking up at her from your place on the bed. She towered over you in this position, her eyes trained on your lips where her joint was hanging from your mouth. She quickly lit the lighter and loosely grabbed your chin, bringing it close to her other hand where she lit the joint for you. She was unsure of where this bout of confidence came from, but she would be lying if she said she didn’t have several fantasies about you that began this way.
Dazed, you stared up at her watching her hooded green eyes take you in. For a moment, you forgot what you were doing when she knocked her knees gently against yours.
“Suck.” She commanded, voice low and sultry. In response your eyebrows knit together in confusion, not fully understanding what she was trying to say. “The joint, Petal. Take a hit.”
Her voice came out in a whisper that would have made your knees weak if you were standing up, but you happily obeyed her, taking a drag. You took a deep inhale allowing the familiar burn to sit comfortably in your chest. Ellie removed her hand from your chin and sat down next to you. You almost whined at the loss of contact.
As you usually did, you passed the joint over to Ellie, watching as she took a hit and blew smoke into the room. She was in her element, here with you and taking care of you in the only way she knew how. All of the things she refused to share with you were shoved deep down into a place she was forgetting the name of right now. All that mattered was you.
When she passed it back to you she smiled, watching as your eyes became half-lidded and calm. You were in your soft place, a perfect place to stop. Ellie took another hit and clipped it, shoving it back into its original container and back into her pocket.
“So,” She began, leaning back on both her hands and turning towards you. “How did it actually go?”
“I think it went well,” You smiled causing Ellie to instinctively smile back at you. “She was cute, really nice, laughed at all my jokes.”
“She must really like you then,” Ellie laughed to herself. “Cause your jokes are shit.”
“Oh, fuck you.” You giggled, leaning into her. When you sat back upright Ellie had a wide grin planted on her face.
“What?” You questioned her.
“Did you kiss her?” Ellie’s smile faltered slightly, her eyes telling her true intentions. She wanted to know if the girl you went on a date with was a better kisser than her.
“Yeah.” You sighed, chewing on your bottom lip anxiously.
“Was it good?” Ellie’s smile was completely gone by this point.
“Not as good as with you.” You confessed, and just like that Ellie’s smile was back. “I mean it just wasn’t as good, but it was a first date what do I expect? Maybe it’ll be better next time.” Gone, again.
“Next time?”
“Yeah, I’d like to see where it goes.” You shrugged, matching Ellie's posture with your hands behind you.
“Maybe you just need more lessons.” Her eyes were fixed on yours, red and glossed over.
“Maybe.” You blinked over at her, mouth going dry. “What are you getting out of it?”
“I’m just a really good friend, I guess.” She joked, hitting your shoulder with hers.
“Yea.” You whispered, eyes glancing at her lips.
“Ready for another lesson, Petal?” Her voice was steady, her high giving her the confidence sobriety couldn’t. All you could do in response was nod. She pushed herself off the bed and gently tapped the side of your exposed thigh. “Okay, lay back on the bed for me.”
Quickly, you obliged, lifting your legs onto your floral bedsheet. Everything around you felt like silk from your high, the sheets, Ellie’s hands, the pillow that you rested your head on.
“Good girl.” Ellie smiled, getting back on the bed, and sitting on her knees with her legs tucked underneath her. Gently, she leaned forward and pressed a soft peck on your lips, wiping off any trace of Malia. It wasn’t like the kiss the two of you shared earlier, your tongues weren’t down each other's throats and her hands remained at her side. It was slow, tantalizing almost, and when she pulled away a girlish smile spread across her face. When she sat back on her knees her hand hovered over your stomach. “It’s okay if I touch you here?”
You were rendered speechless, she was being so soft and gentle with you that it made you like putty in her hands. You eagerly nodded, causing Ellie to laugh. “I’ll tell you everything I’m doing, Petal. Maybe you’ll be able to teach your boring date what to do next time.” Her hands slipped under your shirt and skimmed the base of your stomach. Your breath hitched in your throat, hindering any ability to tell her your date wasn’t boring. At this point, she could say whatever she wanted to you and you would take it.
“I’m gonna take these off, okay?” Your eyes peered down at her, nodding once again. She pulled your shorts and underwear down together, painfully slow. She let them rest at your knees and lifted up your shirt that was covering your center. Suddenly, you felt extremely shy but didn’t make an effort to stop her.
“You look so pretty, Petal.” She cooed as if she could read your mind. “Almost want to kiss it.”
“You can.” You weakly replied, knowing you were dripping from her words alone.
“Not so fast. We haven’t gotten there, yet. Basics, Petal. I thought you knew this.” Ellie leaned forward and pressed a kiss below your belly button, earning a whimper from you.
“Be as loud as you need, okay?” Another kiss, another whimper. “I wanna hear you.” She moved to kiss you on the inside of your thigh. A gasp fell from your lips causing Ellie to smile against your skin. “Need you to tell me how good I’m doing.”
“I’m gonna touch you now,” Her pointer and middle finger tapped your clit. Ellie was so focused on your cunt that she didn’t see your mouth fall open. “Right here.”
Slowly she began rubbing tiny circles into your clit, applying light pressure. Your eyes fluttered closed, and a small moan escaped from your lips. Almost as if on cue, Ellie began applying more pressure, her eyes now focused on your contorting face.
“Hey, hey, look at me.” She coaxed making your eyes glance at her. She looked so pretty, so focused on you that it made your pussy clench around nothing. “Feel good?”
Another nod.
“Use your words.” She picked up her pace making you scream out. Ellie almost moaned herself, just at the sight of you. “Mhm…Tell me how good I’m making you feel.”
“Fuck, Ellie,” Your breathing was jagged as you felt a knot tighten in your stomach. “It feels so,” She applied a little more pressure, causing your eyes to roll back into your head. “Fuck.”
“You’re doing so well, baby.” Her movements were calculated, and her words were only egging you on.
“Ellie, I think I’m gonna-”
“Do it. Cum. I know you can do it, baby.” She was pressing hard and fast circles into you and leaned forward to press another kiss into the inside of your thigh. All it took was the words of encouragement from her and you were coming undone, screaming out her name in between rapid breaths. When Ellie was sure you were done she pulled her hand away and licked her fingers.
You collapsed into the bed, eyes closed and trying to steady your breathing. When you opened them Ellie was gone, causing you to sit up sharply, wondering if you had just fantasized what just happened.
“Ellie?” You called out, looking towards your door where she was returning with a washcloth in her hands.
“Just needed to get this.” She lifted up the washcloth and shook it as she sat back down next to you on the bed. “You kind of made a mess.” She chuckled.
“Oh,” was all you said as you glanced down to where you were dripping onto your bed.
“Can I?” You nodded, ignoring her red cheeks as she cleaned you up.
“Thanks for that.” You started as you watched Ellie pull your pants back up. “I’ll see if I can teach Malia anything. I think your lessons will really help, you know.” And just like that the gentle smile that Ellie had plastered on her face since she began cleaning you up was gone.
It was almost as if a part of her believed she could fuck you into loving her but it was becoming increasingly obvious these really were just lessons to you.
“Yeah.” She sighed, standing up and throwing the washcloth in your hamper. “I should get going. It’s getting late.”
“Oh, okay.” You smiled up at her, hoping to see her smile back. She didn’t. “Text me when you get home?”
“Will do.”
And just like that she was gone.

A secret affair with your step-mum was the best decision for you, she treats you so well and vice versa, but you just can't get over your jealously when your dad gets all touchy with what is yours at a business party. Mommy just has to repeatedly teach her girl how much she cares for her.
Warnings: Mommy!kink, mommy!elizabeth, step-cest, jealously, soft sex, soft Lizzie, fingering (R), aftercare, slight insecurities, unwanted flirting (only brief), grief.

Kinktober Masterlist
Tumblr media
You stand bored beside your father and step-mother, your father mingling with his coworkers as you are stuck beside your step-mom the whole night, you whine once again as Lizzie readjusts your tie for you.
"Lizzz, I don't need help, it's fine."
All she does is raise an eyebrow as she tightens your tie impossibly tight, tugging on it soon after, you let out a small gasp as you stare at her eyes, which have turned into slits as she grasps your tie tightly. You refrain from moaning as you watch her fingers and her hands flex enough to show her veins, her jaw working as well as it sharpens,
"Be quiet, darling, don't be a brat and maybe I'll reward my good girl later."
You shiver at the tone in her voice, but all too soon she steps back, leaving you cold as you watch with anger in your eyes as your father steps behind her, his arm wrapping around her waist, as you bite your tongue as to not say something you'll surely regret.
Jealously flows through your blood as you watch him lean down to leave a small kiss on Lizzie's forehead, his eyes watching you as he begins to speak,
"I hope you don't mind, honey, but I need to borrow Elizabeth for a while, how about you go talk to Sharon at the bar, I heard she has a little crush on you."
You huff as you roll your eyes, you don't miss the way that Lizzie's hands tighten around your father's bicep, her eyes glaring at him slightly at the notion of what's hers potentially conversing with the slut she knows that has been trying to get your attention since day one.
She looks up at your father with a tight smile as she laughs,
"Robbie, dear, don't you think Y/n here is too young to be dating?"
You roll your eyes and ignore the pointed look that Elizabeth sends your way in warning, you nod your head at your father as you begin to turn around, making your way through the crowd of people you try to ignore the burning gaze on your back as you try to promise yourself to have fun tonight.
Even if that does mean breaking one of Elizabeth's rules, and drinking.
I flag down one of the bartenders, ordering my usual I don't make any reaction as I feel fingers sensually wrap around my bicep, their nails digging into my suit slightly as they drag the tip of their finger up and down slowly.
Once achieving my drink I look to my side, my eyes making contact with that of Sharon's darkened blue eyes, I watch with slight boredom as she licks her lips slowly, her dress cut short as she leans forward purposely so that I can see past the low cut of her dress and to her breasts, a blush spreads on my cheeks as I look away respectfully, as she speaks, she speaks in a sultry tone, her tone suggestive as she looks up at me through thick fake eyelashes,
"So, I was hoping you'd come to this."
You hum as you take a sip of your drink, your eyes trained on the way your step-mother hangs around your father, jealously eating away at you as you watch her laugh at his stupid jokes the way she's supposed to at yours.
A sour taste builds in your mouth as you barely listen to what Sharon is talking about, your lips moving at a sail's pace as you watch the way Lizzie's beautiful dirty blonde hair falls over her shoulders, her eyes not holding the same sparkle in them as she looks at your father.
You down the rest of your drink as tears begin to form in your eyes, frustrated at your wayward emotions you pay the bartender, not staying back long enough to wait for change or to listen to the rest of Sharon's nonsensical ramblings.
Instead you shove past her and ignoring Lizzie's pointed looks you begin to tread up the stairs, before you're stopped at the sound of a knife clinking against glass, stopping you look down and at your father as he wears a shit eating grin, pride shining within his brown eyes as he begins to speak with warmth guiding his words,
"I would like to make a toast to my one and only daughter for finishing her doctor's degree, I couldn't be prouder of where she's gotten to, let her be a role model for all of us. To Y/n!"
You watch as everyone raises their glasses, their voices loud as they all scream in union, 'Y/n!'.
You try to smile as the emotions overwhelm you, your eyes flitting towards green ones as you watch her eyes shine with even more pride for you, a broken gasp leaves your throat as you turn around, running up the stairs you sprint towards your room (your mother's old bedroom), tears falling down heated cheeks as you slam the door behind you.
Falling down onto your bed, you squeeze your eyes shut as the pain is let go, your heart squeezing painfully as you cry into your pillow.
You cry for what feels like forever, your voice hoarse as your red and puffy eyes look up and into the eyes of your mother's through the picture.
You shakily bring a hand up to glide your fingers over her face, your eyes staring back at familiar ones as you wish for her to be with you.
Your hand snaps back and away as you hear a knock at your door, you wipe away at your tears, your nose sniffling as you get ready, your head snaps up at the familiar sound of Lizzie through the heavy door, her voice hesitant and soft as she speaks through the wood,
"Sweetheart, can I come in?"
"Y-Yeah."
You curse yourself for breaking near the end, but you don't have enough time to react when Lizzie quickly walks in, her fingers closing the door behind her as she looks at you, her lips turning down into a frown as she walks slowly towards you, stopping in front of you, you don't hesitate when you let your forehead rest on her toned stomach, her fingers combing through your hair as you wrap your arms around her waist,
"Aw, darling, it's okay, I'm sorry Robbie had to do that, I know how you get with social occasions."
You shake your head as you tighten your arms around her waist, your voice broken as you begin to speak into the soft skin of her toned stomach,
"When I was younger, my- well my mother was a huge part of my life and I looked up to her a lot, she was a hero and I knew that by watching the amount of good she did for people by being a doctor, well I knew that one day I'd want to be one as well, and be that happiness for people that my mother was. When she got cancer, it was a struggle, long visits to the hospital between just me and mum, I think I spent majority of my teenage years living in the hospital with my mum, so when she finally died and I was truly alone for the first time, I knew that I was going to make my dream come a reality, and now that- that dream has become a reality, I'm not sure how I feel about it all."
You feel as Lizzie's thumb and forefinger rest underneath your chin, her green eyes soft as she looks down at you while sighing,
"Love, your mother would be so proud of you for where you are, but just remember that you don't have to put yourself up on a pedestal, you're still just human and me and your father will support you no matter what you choose. Especially me, my beautiful little girl."
You smiled slightly as your eyes fluttered shut as Lizzie's lips pressed against your own softly as she lent down, her fingers rubbing smoothly over your cheekbones as she comforted you.
You were the one to pull back as you rested your hands over her own on your cheeks, your eyes closed shut as you bask in the simpleness of the moment with Elizabeth.
Your eyes flutter open at the sound of a resounding knock on your door, you move to get up but stop when Lizzie shakes her head down at you, you furrow your brows in confusion but follow her secret command anyway.
"Y/n, are you in there sweetheart?"
You open your mouth to speak but stop when Lizzie shakes her head down at you, her lips moving as she speaks instead,
"Hey, darling, Y/n's in here. She's just feeling a little sick is all and she won't be able to come back down for the rest of the night I believe."
You looked up at her slightly confused as she smirked down at you, before your head turns to look at the door as you hear the hesitant voice of your father through the wood of your bedroom door,
"Oh, well are you coming back to the party?"
Lizzie looks down at you again as her lips twitch upwards, as she barely mumbles out a response to your father's question, her focus intense on you as you begin to squirm beneath her gaze,
"No, I think I'm going to stay and nurse her back, she's not feeling well enough to look after herself. Don't worry about us, go back to your party."
Your eyes trail over to the door of your bedroom as you hear the padding of your father's footsteps drifting away and back down the stairs.
Looking back at Lizzie, your eyebrows furrow in confusion as you feel her stand up to her full height, her eyes dark as you feel her knees come up to press on either side of you, her thighs clenched around you as she sits on your lap, your hands coming up to hold her by the waist as you let out a gasp at the feeling of her on top of you.
"Lizzie, what-"
You purse your lips as you feel her forefinger press against your pursed lips, her eyes mischievous as she looks down at you slightly lovingly, before she speaks softly,
"Don't, love, I want to show you how proud I am of you, beautiful."
Your breathing picks up rapidly as you feel her rub her finger across your lower lip, the green in her eyes rapidly disappearing as she looks down at you lustfully,
"Would you like that, princess?"
You part your lips further to suck in her finger, your head going fuzzy as you breathe in an air of peppermint that is only Elizabeth.
You blush as you hear her tsk, her eyes drinking in the sight of you beneath her as you suck her finger in and then out again, the movement being repeated as she looks on mesmerized at what you're doing.
She snaps out of the trance that she has on you as she pulls her finger abruptly from your lips, you letting out a whine as she looks down at you seriously, the lust leaving momentarily as she speaks in a deep tone,
"Nuh uh, love, I need verbal consent, you won't be getting out of this deal."
"Please, I need you, mommy."
You watch as a smile spreads on her lips, her eyes soft as she rubs her thumb gently over your cheekbone,
"That's my good girl, thank you for asking nicely, sweetheart."
You blush but giggle excitedly as you smile up at Lizzie, your eyes attentive as you watch as she gently pushes you back against the bed sheets, her fingers soft as she travels her hands all over your body, her fingers digging in gently to your soft skin as she massages you.
Your lips part as you feel all the stress from the day melt away into nothing as your lover hovers above you with soft green eyes watching every bit of your reactions with darkness swirling in them before you feel her lean forward, her chest pressing up to your own chest as she begins to kiss you on your pink lips.
Your hand wraps around the back of her neck as you kiss her back slowly, your lips parting enough to make way for her tongue to slip into your mouth, and when it does you let out a low moan at the feeling of the appendage slipping into your warm mouth.
A small smirk spreads on Lizzie's lips as she kisses you to distract you from the feeling of her finger slowly moving down and over your abdomen and to the buttons of your suit pants.
Elizabeth pops open the buttons on your pants as she pulls it down slowly and over your legs, you blush as you look down, your lips separating from her own as you watch a string of spit keep you both somewhat connected.
Lizzie's eyes are soft as she looks down at you, you feeling self conscious as you try to cover up, but she stops you with a gentle shake of her head and a kiss on your temple,
"No, don't do that, love, I want to see all of my beautiful girlfriend."
You decide to trust her as you let your hands fall to your sides, Lizzie smiles gratefully at you as she kisses your lips before you let out a gasp at the feeling of her index finger rubbing over your slit, your hands fling forward to grip her shoulders as your lips part.
"So wet. Is this for me, beautiful?"
You open your mouth to try to speak, but your brain is empty and you can only half manage the slurring of some words, Lizzie smiles at you as she shakes her head, her fingers on her other hand coming up to press against your lips,
"Shh, I know honey, I know. You don't have to say anything."
She's slow as she rubs you over your panties before her fingers dig into either side of your hips as she pulls your panties down and over your thighs, knees and then finally over your legs where she lets them drop to the floor, not caring one bit as she presses her chest against yours before she lets one finger move inside of your tight cunt.
You let out a gasp before it slowly morphs into a moan, your eyes flutter closed as you wrap your legs around her waist, them pulling her impossibly closer as you feel her move her finger in and out and then in and out again, her thrusts slow but deep as she leans forward to whisper in your ear,
"So tight for mommy, sweetheart."
You whine at her comment, before your arm swings around her neck, your back arching up as you moan at the subtle movement of her finger, before your nails begin to dig in further to her shoulders as she moves a second finger inside of you, them spreading inside of you as she begins to curl them both with each thrust inside of you.
Your mouth opens as you feel your stomach clench in pleasure, you knowing all too well how quick you've reached the edge.
Lizzie smirks as she kisses you on your lips, before she speaks in the space between both of your lips and mouths.
"You wanna cum, don't you, love? So quickly as well, you must've been so worked up, little one."
You watch as she pouts down at you, you know she's saying it mockingly but you nod your head fervently, your eyes squeezed shut as you wait for permission to cum for her.
Lizzie leans forward and into your ear as she speaks a simple command that you listen to,
"Cum, beautiful. Cum for your mommy."
Your body goes rigid as you shake from the force of the orgasm, Lizzie hushes you a couple of times as she helps you calm down before she slowly pulls out her fingers, them being wiped carelessly onto the bed as she focuses on you.
Lizzie moves to lay beside you on the bed, her head being propped up on her open palm as she smiled at you, you turned onto your side as well as you looked up at her with drooping eyelids.
You let out a sigh as you felt her fingers move a singled stray strand of hair behind your ear, her lips pressing softly against your temple as she spoke softly as you snuggled into her chest, ready to fall asleep,
"I love you, Y/n, and that will never change, even if you're not a doctor."
You fell asleep in her arm's that night and Elizabeth knew right then that she had to have you, for the rest of both of your lives.

Loverboys on Our Hands (s.p x covey!reader)
Tumblr media
pairing: sejanus plinth x covey!reader
word count: 1.4k
warnings: none, unless you count coriolanus as a warning lol
a/n: i have been obsessed with covey!reader and sejanus for a hot second now so i thought i'd finally write about it! heavily influenced by @alwritey-aphrodite to write said duo (so if you haven't read their work you absolutely should!). anyway, hope you enjoy!
The sound of coal miner boots stomping in rhythm against the creaky floors of the Hob would always be your favourite sound. Performances hadn’t been as frequent with Lucy Gray fighting in the arena and everything, but now the Covey were back in full swing and you couldn’t be happier. All it took was one look at Maude Ivory, her smile shining brighter than the sun in the meadow, for your stage fright to turn into excitement, and your fingers were ready to join Clerk Carmine in your shared moments of fiddle harmony. Barb started the backstage line up, urging the rest of you to follow suit before your performance was to officially begin. There were people clapping in anticipation behind the curtain, surrounded by the sound of glasses clinking together at the bar and men laughing at each other. You gave a nod to Maude Ivory before she headed out to announce the evening, and hearing her receive a round of applause only widened the smile on your face.
“I hope everyone’s ready ‘cause we’ve got a great show lined up for you tonight!” She paused for people to clap before announcing you all one by one, the audience’s excitement growing with each name that got called. Once everyone was on, Maude Ivory tapped her drum a few times to count everyone in before Clerk Carmine began playing the introductory melody. He made his way over to you, nudging you with his body weight before you leaned back to back as your harmony part began and you laughed, pushing back off each other as Lucy Gray started strumming, stepping closer to the microphone. Tam Amber took a break from his mandolin to get the audience clapping in rhythm, getting a few shouts and hollers out of them as well.
This was your happy place, the thing you wouldn’t trade for anything, and the audience’s energy only made it better. You travelled across the stage to Barb Azure as Lucy Gray did a twirl with her guitar. Barb Azure gave you a look and nodded her head towards Lucy Gray as you could tell she was focused on something in the back of the Hob. A familiar blonde head had made his way through the crowd to see tonight’s performance, and his Peacekeeper buddies had come with him. You shook your head, letting out a small chuckle as you separated from Barb Azure, but you couldn’t help yourself from also looking in that same direction, hoping another buzzed head would be in attendance.
Sure enough, Sejanus was sitting on one of the barrales next to the table Coriolanus had secured, and you twirled yourself around to hide the large smile you were starting to sport. Lucy Gray looked over at you and gave you a knowing nod, but you just shook your head, hoping she wasn’t getting any ideas. The girl may have wandered the Earth with the best intentions, but you didn’t need her meddling in your lacking love life. You allowed yourself one look over, just enough time to catch him smiling and lightly bobbing his head along to the music, before turning back away in fear that you would get too distracted. The last thing you needed was Clerk Carmine making fun of you for playing a wrong note again.
After the performance was over, and Maude Ivory was going around collecting whatever tips people were willing to give, Lucy Gray grabbed your hand and marched you straight over to the Peacekeeper boys. Trying not to object too loudly, in fear that a certain someone would hear and get the wrong idea, you were quick to shut up once you reached the table, choosing to brush some dust off the front of your top instead.
“You remember Coriolanus don’t you?” She asked you, never dropping your hand.
“Hard to forget when you won’t stop talking about him,” you teased Lucy Gray, looking quickly over at the blonde boy and noticing a content smirk on his face.
Rolling her eyes, Lucy Gray added, “and his friend,” as she gestured to Sejanus with your connected hands.
Your cheeks were hot, and you would’ve found more interest in your laced up boots had you not noticed Sejanus was already looking at you. “It was awfully nice of you both to come tonight”.
“Oh it’s not a problem, really. You guys are so good, it would be a shame to miss such a performance,” Sejanus smiled, and you missed Coriolanus sticking his foot out and kicking his friend in the shin.
“Well, I think some celebratory drinks are in order,” Lucy Gray started, “Coriolanus, won’t you come help me carry some?” He nodded, quickly hopping off his stool and following after her.
“But you don’t-” you tried to object, but they were already weaving their way through the crowd, leaving you and Sejanus awkwardly taking in each other’s presence. “That was odd”.
“They sure are in love aren’t they?” Sejanus asked, leaning in closer to you to avoid yelling over the crowds who now had to entertain themselves.
“Yeah, but..” you trailed off, your eyes focused on where the couple had just run off to.
“But what?” Sejanus urged you to continue.
“I don’t know. Her last relationship was real rough for her- you remember when Billy Taupe came in here the other night- and I just don’t want to see her hurt again. Especially not after what she just went through”. You paused. “But she’s a tough girl”. You looked back to make eye contact with Sejanus, realising he hadn’t looked away from you the entire time.
“I wasn’t being sarcastic or anything earlier, by the way. With what I said about us coming to see you tonight. You guys are really good, and it was nice to see you happy”.
“Well thank you,” you smiled, trying your hardest not to look at the floor. “That’s awfully sweet of you to say,” you finished as your nerves got the better of you and you looked down, kicking some piece of paper around.
In what seemed to be a rush of confidence, Sejanus tipped your chin up with his finger, forcing you to look at him once again. “There’s that pretty smile”. His smile grew wider, as did the heat on your cheeks, before he dropped his hand. Lucy Gray and Coriolanus were quick to return to the table at that moment, and you knew she must have seen that little interaction go down just by the way she was smiling at you.
“You know, I was just telling Coriolanus that we were all thinking of heading up to the lake tomorrow if y’all wanted to come,” she looked between Sejanus and Coriolanus, who were both nodding their heads in piqued interest.
“Yeah, that sounds great. We have the day off too so it would work out perfectly,” Sejanus added a verbal confirmation to the conversation.
“Oh! That would be so much fun!” If performing was your ultimate happy place, the lake was definitely a close second. “Does anyone have a pen or something?” You shouted a little louder into the remaining crowd. Someone was quick to toss one over to you and you looked at Sejanus with an excited expression on your face. “Give me your arm”.
With no hesitation, albeit a confused look on his face, Sejanus rolled up his sleeve, leaning his arm out to you in the process. You quickly scribbled down ‘The Seam’ with some broken directions on how to get there and a time before capping the pen and throwing it back into the crowd.
“Now, you two meet us there at that exact time and we’ll all head over together alright?” Lucy Gray looked between the two boys, “And don’t you dare be late, or we’ll be just fine leaving without you,” she teased with a mischievous smile on her face as she grabbed your hand again.
“I guess we’re heading back, but we’ll see you both tomorrow yeah?” You looked first at your combined hands and then at the boys.
“Yeah, it sounds like a great time,” Sejanus nodded at the two of you before Lucy Gray was pulling you back to join the rest of the Covey. You turned awkwardly over your open shoulder, waving goodbye to them with your free hand.
“Anything would sound like a great time to you if you got to see them again,” you caught Coriolanus muttering to his friend as the two of them stood up to leave.
Lucy Gray laughed at the intense blush creeping its way onto your face, nudging your body with her shoulder before you met up with the rest of the Covey backstage. “Looks like we’ve got a couple of loverboys on our hands”.

Tim LaFlour x F!Coquette(ish) reader
Readers a girl in his english class, inspired by the scene of him reading Langston Hughes. They're opposites bc I think the opposite aesthetic trope is so damn cute.
I have a lot of ideas for this trope that I'll try to add!
Warnings - none except for fluff with my fav punk!
°•♡•°
Tumblr media
Tim was not the best at poetry. Needless to say, english literature wasn't one of his strongest suits. That's why when the professor had assigned a very long, very taunting poetry book along with an analysis, he was fucked. Not only that but he didn't really know anybody in that class to ask for help and he was sure his roommate, Daryl, was as clueless as him.
As class was dismissed and all the students were beginning to leave, Tim packed his stuff up, sighing as he began to think. The class size wasn't big, so as people walked out, he looked around for anyone who seemed helpful, only to catch eyes with a particular girl.
He'd noticed her since the beginning of the semester. She always sat second row on the right and would never talk unless called on. He noticed all her supplies were a light shade of pink, which he thought suited her. She'd always dress with light colors too, very put together. Tim sat in the row behind her a few seats to her left so he'd always find himself zoning out on her, only because she stood out.
“Do you know how to do this?” He'd take his chance and ask her, she seemed so sophisticated taking notes everyday, he was sure she'd know what she was doing. Her eyes widened and she seemed to go from shock, to confusion, to acceptance all in the span of a second. “Yeah, we're just going through the book assigned and analyzing the poems. Pretty easy.” She smiled as she swung her backpack (light pink of course) over her shoulders.
“I got that, but I don't get it, like how we're supposed to analyze. I suck at this class.” She giggled in response, causing Tim's brows to knit in confusion, he couldn't find what was amusing. “It's pretty simple, if you want, I can help you.” She offered him a sweet smile that caused him to smile. He nodded, “Yeah, that'd be awesome! We can work in my dorm.”
She nodded, “I'm y/n by the way.” She offered her hand out for him to shake. He slipped his hand into hers, feeling her soft skin and admiring how well taken care of her nails were. “Tim! Nice to meet ya." He stared into her eyes almost dumbfounded as he shook her hand, a dumb smile plastered on both their faces.
------
A knock on the door startled Daryl as he sat in the living room, tense from the drug effects. Tim opened the door to his dorm, quickly walking over to the front door and opening it, “Hey! Welcome, welcome, you can make yourself right at home. My rooms over here.” Daryl raised a brow as he watched the very opposite girl walk in. Her light clothed and accessories a blinding contrast to everything Tim owned. It was almost comedic.
“We’re gonna be studying, dawg, so don't interrupt so we can get smart.”
“Yeah man, don't worry. You have fun.” He responded, a teasing hint in his tone.
As the girl walked into his room, she couldn't help but look around, admiring all the punk posters and dark themes. She stood out like a sore thumb. Her white sweater, blue jeans, and pink accessories were almost blinding in there. Tim noticed straight away, letting out a small chuckle as he shut the door. “You listen to any of them?” He asked, pointing to his various punk band posters. As expected, she shook her head, “No, haha. They look sick, though.” This caused Tim to smile as she set her bag down on the floor next to his bed. He motioned for her to sit, and she did.
Immediately, she began pulling out the poetry book and some paper. I guess she was here for business. Tim sat down across from her, getting his own stuff out. As she got a paper, she began explaining, Tim nodding in response as he listened. It seemed a hundred times easier to listen to her than the professor. After explanations he began to understand, they'd take turns reading poems out loud, analyzing, highlighting, and annotating what they agreed was important, (though it was mostly Y/n who would point out most and Tim would just agree since she seemed so pleased).
Tim noticed that when she would concentrate she would chew on the end of her pencil, her glossy pink lips attracting him like a moth to light. She had pretty lips and he couldn't help but stare at them, his own mouth seeming to slightly open as he stared until he had to catch himself multiple times.
After about 2 hours of this, they'd finished more than half the assignment, and they were both more than exhausted. It was nearly midnight. Yawning, y/n shut the poetry book, packing her papers into her folder. They hadn't chit chatted a lot, Tim didn't want to interrupt her focus so as they cleaned up Tim spoke up.
“So do you enjoy poetry? You seemed really into all the poems.” Y/n shrugged as she packed away the last of her things, “I guess I do. I like the beauty and emotion put into poems. They're really beautiful if you read them right.” Her response was said in a sleepy tone but was so sincere, Tim found himself feeling a sort of admiration along with a tingling in his stomach.
He smiled at her as she broke out into a yawn again. “You seem tired, we should get to sleep, eh.” He suggested standing up and fixing his bed to rest. She also stood up, stretching her body. “How fars, your dorm? I can walk you. It's pretty late, so I wouldn't want you to get spooked.” She giggled as he said it. Mostly, his tone was what made her laugh.
“It's all across campus, on the other side of the main hall.” His brows raised in concern. “That far? That's like a 10 minute walk.” He knew it wasn't far but she seemed so tired he wasn't sure if she'd even make it, she looked one blink away from knocking over like a leaf in the wind.
“You'd be better off staying here.” She raised a brow at his comment, a frown appearing on her soft face, “I'm not dumb enough to stay in a college guys dorm for the night. If you're thinking what you are, know I'm not the one.” Her sleepy voice was now stern as she headed for the door, her walk telling him that his comment had made her upset.
“Hey, hey. I didn't mean it like that. I promise! I'm on a no sex, drugs, or anything sinful pact so I swear I didn't mean anything that you're thinking.” He raised his arms up in defense, watching as she stopped and turned around, eyeing him.
“I was just saying, since you look so tired. I think it'd be better for you to just sleep here than walk all the way over there.” She stared at him in silence for a few long seconds.
She was only thinking it through so much since she really found Tim to be cute. Ever since she'd laid eyes on him as he walked in through the door mid-lecture, she'd felt her cheeks go pink. Something about the way he looked, or carried himself, or talked, it all fascinated her, and soon enough, she found herself crushing on him like a high school girl.
Sighing, she responded, “Okay, fine. But only because I really am so exhausted.” Tim's face seemed to go from upset to a beaming smile quickly. “Awesome! You can borrow one of my T-shirts if you want. And you can take the bed. I'll take the floor.” He exited the room after tossing a t-shirt onto the bed, leaving her a very flustered and hot mess. Her heart was racing as she lifted up the shirt he'd left for her. It was of a punk band. It smelled just like Tim. She blushed as she put it on. She blushed as she got into Tim's very soft and warm bed, blushed at how sweet it was for him to offer to sleep on the floor.
As she tucked in, Tim knocked, walking in after she answered and smiled down at the view of her covered in his blanket, completely bundled from neck down.
"Thank you for helping me by the way. Learned more from you then the professor, goodnight.”
He shut the lights off, and y/n heard as he shuffled on the floor. Looking down, she saw him lying with a comically small blanket and a decor pillow. Her heart raced in her ears as she decided if she should speak or not.
“You can sleep on the bed, Tim. It's your bed anyway, so I'd feel terrible if you slept on the floor.” She was also pitied by the sight of his tall figure under that poor excuse of a blanket. She heard him shuffle and next thing he was standing.
“You sure? Really, I'm alright sleeping on the good ole floor.” He chuckled.
“Im sure.” She scooted over to the other side, patting the bed. He didn't hesitate even a second as he tucked in beside her, far enough to not make her uncomfortable. As her eyes adjusted, she could begin to make out his silhouette in the dark. That's when she realized how close he really was, and she found a new found heat on her face. She went to cover her head with the blanket as if he could see her reddened cheeks.
“Tim.? You still awake?” She spoke softly under the covers. The soft ruffle of the pillow case sounded, “Yeah. What's up?” He whispered back.
Her hands seemed to tingle along with the butterflies in her stomach. She uncovered herself and moved her body so she could stare at him and him at her, he was already facing her direction though.
“Thank you for letting me stay, I didn't tell you, but it means a lot that you care.” She offered a sleepy smile as she stared into his face. He smiled back, and though she couldn't see it, she could see the outline of his cheeks when he did so.
“It's no biggie. Just the right thing to do. You tell me if you had a pretty girl in your dorm who was tired and lived far away that you wouldn't feel bad if she was alone.” His statement caused her to let out a small giggle into the sheets, which in turn caused her heart to flutter.
She scooted closer to him, not much, not enough to be noticeable in the dark but enough to where she could feel how warm he was, a huge grin spread across her face. "Goodnight, Tim…" Her eyes were far too heavy to keep open now, she shut them, and without a thought cuddled into Tims side causing him to freeze.
He slowly looked down at her, watching the slow rise and fall of her chest, her closed eyes and her features. Gently he wrapped his arm around her, feeling her shift closer to him, his heart ramming against his chest. She was so small in his arms, so warm, he felt himself leaning into her head, resting his head against the top of hers, caressing her back as she slept. He wasn't sure why he was doing this or why he felt so much in his gut.
All he knew was that he was happy, holding her and admiring her. That he was feeling far too much all at once.
He'd have to talk to her about this tomorrow. His emotions would be the death of him.

Femme Fatale Guide: How To Find & Be A Good Friend To Other High-Value Women
Approach finding friends like you would dating (which is essentially a networking activity). Meet and mingle with as many people as you desire but refine your vetting process for your friends well before your next social interaction – whether it's a group get-together, coffee/lunch date, or a party/work event from which prospective friendship could potentially flourish.
Set your friendship standards. Know the types of people, common interests, values, lifestyle, etc., you desire to have within your friendships. Consider the type and frequency of communication that gives you energy. Be aware of your boundaries so you can communicate them calmly, clearly, and with kindness. Embody the type of friend you would want to have in your life already. Compatibility will minimize conflict in any type of relationship, including friendships.
Remind yourself that it can be more fulfilling to have friends that suit different needs, interests, activities, and sides of your personality. Once you understand what your "ideal" friend or friendships look like, you use this "best friend" archetype to divide up these qualities among the people you meet IRL. See if you click with someone who suits some of these characteristics & shared goals/interests. Choose friends you admire in different areas of their lives. Some friends may be in your life because you connect over your ambitious personalities or bond over working in the same industry/field. Other friends may be so much fun to go out with or chat about romantic relationships with, while others can be great travel companions, intellectuals, workout class friends, etc.
Practice differentiation. Understand both of you have your own boundaries, expectations, desires, and personal limits. Communicate your needs directly without people pleasing while still showing empathy and validating the other person's equal right to have their own boundaries, expectations, desires, and emotional/logistical limitations. People-pleasing is a form of manipulation because this self-sacrificing leaves you resentful of the relationship and blindsides the other person because they didn't know they crossed your boundaries. If someone crosses your boundaries and you address it from a compassionate "it's me, not you" POV, genuine friends will react to your reply from a place of understanding. To be a good friend, you need to do the same. Good friends respect each others' needs and would never threaten the friendship because you need to take care of yourself first.
Be their ultimate hype woman. Show up when it counts, follow up, and engage with a genuine interest. Cheer your friends on when they're going after and achieve their goals. Don't let jealousy & a scarcity mindset get to you. Show support for their wins. Be genuinely happy for them. Go to their milestone events (if you're invited and able to within reason), and send them words of encouragement before a big work presentation, interview, date, etc. Follow up after a coffee date to see how a certain conversation or event went if it seemed important to them. Ask them questions and thoughtful follow-up questions about their lives/something they brought up to discuss. Curiosity is the simplest way to form a connection – especially in conversation.
Don't try to one-up your friends. You appear haughty and insecure when you do this. Good friends complement and compound – not compromise – each others' successes.
Keep it real. Set each other up to win. Good friends don't let their friends ruin their lives, goals, health, or reputation. Call out a friend's bad or desperate behavior by using language that criticizes their behaviors vs. their character (Ex: "Remember how bad your ex made you feel about yourself, you don't deserve to put yourself through that again and spend this precious time with people who care about you or going on dates with others who will value what you have to offer." vs. "You're dumb for getting back together with your ex. You're so desperate for his attention/to be in a relationship." Another example: "Yeah, not working out and eating junk food all day can make you feel sluggish and lazy. You're too cool to be acting like this. It's time to live a healthier lifestyle again so you can be your best self so we can all appreciate your energy to the fullest again." vs. "You've turned into a slob. Get it together.")
Be trustworthy. Everything they share in confidence is top-secret information unless they disclose otherwise. Only share their successes in public. Keep friends' struggles private. Don't be two-faced. Stand by your friend to their face and when they leave the room.
Schedule time to make each other a priority. Invite them out. Set a date on the weekly/monthly calendar to hang out, Facetime, have a long catch-up call with each other, etc. Create fun rituals you do together with each friend or in groups of friends.
Follow through with the plans you set in stone (unless there's a true emergency/late night at work/you feel sick, etc.). Never cancel last minute unless it's essential for your well-being. Show up when you say you will. Respect other people's time. Don't be flaky.

Stolen Hoodie | Bada Lee Social Media Au
Tumblr media
pairings: bada lee x shin nari
prev - next
a/n: i just wanted to say thankkkk u sm for giving stolen hoodie a chance the support ive been getting is so crazyyyyy i love all of u
"C'mon, girl." Aeri told her best friend as they drove in her car to Xiaoting's party. "Don't overthink, just have a good time," she urged, flashing a cheerful smile.
"Yeah i'll try" Nari said smiling "I just hope i dont see her"
Aeri hesitated to say something, she didnt want to lie after all the whole dance class will be there probably
"if you do.." Aeri paused "just ignore her"
"Thank you, Aeri," Nari said, staring at her best friend with determination. "For everything - for always being by my side and having my back, no matter what. I really hope I can return it all to you someday."
"Oh quit it," Aeri replied, pretending to be annoyed but unable to hide her warm smile at Nari's words. "You've always been by my side just as much as I've been by yours - and you're the first one to show up when I need someone too. Don't doubt yourself - we've got each other's backs, that's what being best friends is all about." As Aeri spoke, she gave Nari a light punch on the shoulder in response to her earlier action, causing both of them to giggle in amusement.
As Aeri pulled her car into the driveway, she turned off the engine and removed the keys from the ignition.
"Wow," Nari breathed, her eyes widening as she took in the sight of her Xiaoting's house. It was enormous - far more spacious than she had imagined. "This place is huge!"
The cold air hit the girls as they exited the vehicle, taking a moment to adjust to the sudden change in temperature. Nari glanced down at her outfit, adjusting the straps of her bralette as she did so. She had paired it with a white crop top and a skirt-shorts hybrid that she had made a few days ago, creating a unique ensemble that suited her well.
"Okay sexy, let's get inside," Aeri said with a smirk, smacking Nari's ass hard enough to make her wince.
"Ow, that hurt, you bitch!" Nari groaned, turning to face her friend
"Lets go," Aeri grabbed her hand and guided them into the house. As soon as they entered, Nari's eyes widened in surprise. The place was already packed with people - far more than she had expected at such an early stage in the party.
Some were dancing some were drinking, and some girls were already on the floor passed out drunk
"Nari!" Aeri exclaimed as the song "Shake That Ass" by Eminem and Nate Dogg began playing.
"Hell yeah," Nari replied, pulling the shorter girl onto the dance floor.
Sure! Here's a more descriptive version of their dance:
The pair begun moving their hips back and forth seductively, grinding against each other as they danced. Every movement was fluid and in sync with the beat of the song, as they both let their bodies move with the music in a way that left little to the imagination.
Nari and Aeri were lost in the moment, the rhythm of the music coursing through their bodies as they swayed seductively. Nari wrapped her arm around Aeri, moving down until she was grinding her hips sensually against her best friend. The music was intoxicating, the vibrations of the beat adding to the thrilling sensation of their bodies moving together. Their eyes were locked on each other, both of them smiling and having fun
"Shake that ass for me, shake that ass for me, come on girl!" the best friends shouted the lyrics in unison, their voices rising above the music as they continued dancing with one another.
Bada wasn't having fun at all. She regretted having listened to Tatters' suggestion to come. However, she looked around in hopes of finding her best friend - and her eyes fell on a familiar boy talking to her.
Yeonjun.
As he felt somebody's eyes on him, Yeonjun turned towards Bada and glared at her
Bada simply rolled her eyes, her gaze wandering over to the two girls who had just entered the house. However, as soon as she recognized who they were, she was taken aback - almost choking on her drink as she realized who it was.
"Fuck" Bada cursed under her breath, her eyes trailing the brunette girl. She had never seen Nari in person before, but seeing her here in the flesh, she was truly stunned - the pictures didn't even come close to doing her justice.
Nari didn't see her, and Bada was thankful for it. She watched her and Aeri go over to the dance floor and begin moving, bodies swaying sensually in perfect harmony. The music filled the air with an infectious beat, and the heat of the moment brought out passionate and seductive vibes that made the party even more electric.
Bada's heart beat rapidly in her chest as she watched Nari dance, her movements flowing with grace and elegance that made her even more magnificent. Bada felt herself become distracted and had to swallow back her desire to keep watching, feeling a little guilty that she found her so alluring.
"You sneaky little thing." Bada nearly jumped out of her skin when Tatter spoke out of nowhere, startling her.
"You really need to stop doing that," Bada scoffed as she snatched Tatter's drink back from her.
"Hey, I was drinking that." Tatter pouts
"Too late." Bada shrugs nonchalantly. Tatter playfully glares at her for a moment before taking her drink back and taking a sip.
"Ehh" Tatter sighed, placing her hand on her hip "If you didn't act like an idiot, you would be the one dancing with her."
'Shut up," Bada said, chuckling as she pushed Tatter away lightly, amused by her friend's remark.
Hours passed, and Nari had no clue where Aeri was. After a while of searching, she found herself perched on top of a table, swaying and dancinh to the song "Tell Me" by Wonder Girls. She was completely inebriated, as she didn't remember how she got there. In her drunken state, she lost all her shame, along with her worries, as she began to dance on the table, lost in the music. She forgot about anything holding back, no sense of embarrassment left in her drunken state. The music filled every part of her soul, sending her into another world where she was the star of her own little personal show, where the only thing that mattered was her and the music, everything else forgotten.
"Come on, everyone!" Nari yelled, her voice ringing out over the loud crowd. As everyone erupted in cheers of encouragement, she felt her heart racing with excitement. With a wide smile on her face, Nari began to sing more like yell "Tell me, tell me, tell me too, want me want me want me too"
"Tell me, tell me, tell me you love me too, love me too," the crowd shouted back making Nari giggle
Bada's attention was drawn when she heard a familiar voice ring out, causing her to look up and spot nari high up on the table, singing and dancing. She couldn't help but chuckle at the sight, realising that Nari was likely the voice she had heard a few weeks ago.
Bada's laughter vanished when she saw nari begin to lift up her top, a look of concern quickly appearing on her face. "Nari, get down," Bada yelled, a sense of urgency to her voice.
Nari giggled as she looked around, unable to concentrate on anything else. "What? Where are you?"
Bada felt the urge to roll her eyes, the alcohol clearly taking its toll on Nari's senses. "Come on, get down." She grabbed Nari by the hand, a sense of concern and worry mixed with irritation growing inside her.
Nari finally focused her gaze on Bada, their eyes meeting, and Bada suddenly felt like time had slowed down. Her short hair sticking out in all directions in an endearing manner, framed her sharp but delicate face. Her features were still accentuated by the shadows, highlighting her high cheekbones on her smooth complexion. Her expression was soft and playful, a slight grin playing on her lips while she laughed silently
"When Nari recognized who had grabbed her hand, she immediately stopped laughing, her expression turning into a glare. 'What are you doing here?' she snapped her tone colder than before
"Get down"
"No!"
"Stop lifting your top and get down, Nari - you're embarassing yourself," Bada said firmly, trying to make her friend comply with her request.
"I'll lift this up," Nari said, giving her a sarcastic smile and lifting her middle finger up.
Bada let out a low groan and closed her eyes. She grabbed her hand again and with a sudden jerk, she pulled Nari up onto her shoulder, leaving her feet dangling in the air. Nari screamed as she found herself facing away from Bada,
"Put me down!" Nari screamed out, her grip on Bada's arm getting even tighter, her hands holding on stubbornly. She refused to budge, hanging on for dear life, while Bada sighed and finally reached a room, and as she entered, Nari's screams changed to a mumble, her voice going soft and her grip loosening. She was so drunk she couldn't even scream anymore, her body limp in Bada's arms.
Bada sighed and bent down, and managed to lower Nari safely onto the ground. Nari was ready to yell at Bada again, but she stopped herself when she saw how close they were. Even in her drunken state, Nari was slightly anxious as she stood in front of Bada, her proximity making her feel nervous. She was dressed casually with a jersey and beige cargo pants.
She didn't know if she was panicking because of Bada standing in front of her or because of the intense urge to vomit that was building up inside her. Her stomach churned and bubbled, as her body was about to rid itself from all that alcohol she drank "I'll be back"
Bada's eyes widened as Nari bolted past her into the bathroom, almost tripping over her feet, Bada followed Nari into the bathroom, seeing her kneeling on the toilet, her head resting on the bowl while she vomited.
Bada immediately dashed towards her side, holding her hair up so that it wouldn't get caught by the vomit that was spewing out of her mouth.
Nari managed to raise her head for a moment. "Sorry, Bada..." she mumbled, her voice quiet and her words slurred.
Bada shook her head gently, reassuring Nari that it was alright "Continue if it makes you feel better" she added
With a small nod, Nari continues to vomit into the toilet, and Bada just held her hair
After Nari was done vomiting, Bada helped her up and dragged her over to the sink so she could clean the excess out of her mouth. Nari's eyes were still glazed over with booze and her face was flushed, but she still managed to feel embarrassed at being this drunk and having to be taken care of by Bada.
Somehow, Nari managed to walk alone towards the bed. She threw herself down onto the soft mattress, groaning out loud about how comfortable it felt. The alcohol was starting to make its effects known in her body again, and Nari felt the need to lie down and close her eyes. She yawned and let out a deep sigh, her eyes closing slowly, Bada, watching her all this time, smiles softly.
"I won't remember this so..." Nari slurred her words, her voice heavily affected "I didn't want to be late, I was truly excited... and that creepy guy just happened to be there,"
"We don't..." Bada sighed deeply, "we don't need to talk about that"
"Maybe you dont want to but i do" Nari said "I hate being called a liar while im telling the truth. What you said to me was really harsh it made me so upset"
"Maybe you were right..." Nari says, her tone slightly defeated as she rolls over to her other side. "Yeah maybe Im a burden to my friends but I can't. But they don't even know half the things I- nevermind" Nari continues, sounding more resigned than upset or angry.
Bada watches her roll over, and catches a glimpse of bruises on Nari's waist. She furrows her brows, her gaze growing sharp as she pulls up the fabric of Nari's shirt to reveal more bruises, a little more alarmed now than before.
"Oh, that..." Nari laughs nervously, trying to make light of the situation. "I fell while I was playing tag with my sister," she chuckles. "I couldn't sit right for two whole days." Nari smoothly lies, her eyes darting around the room to ensure that Bada doesn't see through this lie.
This causes Bada to raise her eyebrow in suspicion "Nari-"
Bada started to say, but she was cut off when Aeri opened the door and let out a relieved sigh after seeing Nari in bed. She had been worried about her best friend's well-being and it felt good to see her in a more relaxed state.
"Oh, she was with you." Aeri said, turning to look at Bada "Thank you for taking care of her"
"It's nothing," Bada replied, waving off her thanks
"Come on bae, we'll go home now." Aeri walks over to the bed and grabs Nari by the shoulder.
"No, I don't want to go there-" Nari begins to argue, but Aeri quickly interrupts her.
"My house okay, you're staying at mine tonight." Aeri clarifies, trying to reassure her friend.
"With that, Nari stands up, her arm around Aeri's shoulder, and the two walk away, leaving Bada alone.
Bada's hope of some sort of reaction from Nari was quickly shut down, however, as Nari simply turns and looks at Bada, staying silent and not saying anything. She didn't utter a word, not even a little "fuck you." as Bada wanted.
"What am I getting myself into?" Bada sighs, pinching the bridge of her nose in frustration.

Chapter 3- Surprise
As soon as you entered the grand hall, your eyes scanned around the room to search for your target. On the USB there was a file regarding an ex hydra scientist who not only performed on innocent people, which resulted in them dying, but he also abused many of his subjects, especially the young girls he managed to get a hold of.
Men and women in elegant outfits, showing off their wealth littered the room yet you paid no notice to the few looks sent your way from them, the lust in some of their eyes as you walked past in your suit. All black was always the way to go, it was the best colour to hide the blood stains after you had your way with a target.
You made your way to the bar, ordering yourself a drink before a woman sat next to you, her body closer than necessary to grab your attention.
“And to what do I owe the pleasure, Miss Romanoff?” you say, not turning away from your drink as the redhead receives her own drink and takes a small sip.
“Give me one good reason why I shouldn't pin you to this table and handcuff you?” she says with a little bite in her words.
“Hmm let me think,” you murmur, pretending to be deep in thought for a moment earning a glare from your side. You roll your eyes at her serious state and mumble how boring she is before answering, “Because I’m your favourite bad guy? Oh wait no, because you’d know I’d enjoy it too much,” you turn to her with a wink, her palm colliding with your cheek making a few people look over before losing interest. You rub the spot she just slapped, her expression stoic as you stare at her in disbelief, “You’re not one of my favourite Avengers anymore, that was just rude.”
“Cut the bullshit,” her tone dangerous, “This isn't a game Y/n. Why are you here?”
“The same reason you are,” you turn back to your drink, your eyes looking around the room as you take a small sip.
“And that is?” You let out a sigh at her words, annoyed you now have to deal with the Avengers meddling in your plans.
“Look, let’s ‘cut the bullshit’, we both want the Hydra prick, so why don’t we just make this easier for everyone?” she raises her eyebrow at you, waiting for you to continue, “Let me take care of him and you can all have tonight off, maybe you could go and learn to have fun somewhere.” She shakes her head at you, a breathless laugh escaping her.
“I don't think that’s going to happen,” you turn to her as she speaks, looking behind her to see if the man has entered yet.
“Why not? Is it because you don’t want to be a fun person?” She can see your smirk as you raise the glass to your mouth and holds back from slapping the smug and annoying look on your face.
“Because your methods of ‘taking care of them’ are inappropriate and illegal,” she’s read all the files on you and even seen you in the flesh as you punish whatever guilty soul you could catch.
“It’s not inappropriate, it’s what they deserve,” your voice loses the teasing tone, becoming more cold and angered. “Do you really think I’m just going to let you take them, stick them in a cell for the rest of their lives that protects them from the people that want them dead? I thought you were smarter than this Romanoff.” She sighs at you, but you're too focussed on seeing the man walk in, a smile plastered on his face as he greets the surrounding people. “Lovely speaking to you Miss Romanoff but I must say goodbye now,” you say with a sarcastic tone, your hand grabbing hers and raising it to your mouth to place a kiss on, her pulling away her hand at the dramatic gesture.
“If you carry on like this, you’ll end up in one of those cells,” she warns but you're already gliding through crowds of people to find the scientist.
“Fancy seeing you here,” a familiar voice calls out, her arm interlocking with yours, holding you back.
“Not now my little witch,” you say, keeping your voice calm as you stare ahead, the man talking to a woman and standing a little too close to her and, judging by the expression on her face, it wasn’t welcomed, “I have to work.”
“All work and no play?” she echoes your words from a few nights ago, her hand cupping your jaw and making you look at her.
“Yes, I’m a very busy woman at the moment so, if you’ll excuse me, I have a job to do.” You slip out of her grasp but she moves forwards and pulls you back, your anger rising now as you can’t let another one get a life of safety in an Avenger’s cell.
“I can’t let you do that,” she says, an indecipherable emotion in her voice. “Come on, let’s have some fun,” she purrs in an attempt to distract you. Your attention from the man falters for a split second, moving to gaze at her lips for a brief moment before returning to where the man was. You swear under your breath at the fact he’s gone, along with the woman, and turn back to the witch.
“This will be your only warning,” your voice low as you whisper at the shell of her ear, “ Stay out of my way.”
“Or what?” she challenges you, a low chuckle immediately leaving you.
“You should have kept your mouth shut,” you mutter, “Enjoy the surprise I will send you later.” With that said, you pull away harshly and leave to find the man, pushing a person into Wanda who then spills her drink on her dress, the other woman starting a scene with the witch making it impossible for her to follow you.
***
Wanda’s leg bounces as the other Avengers bicker between themselves, arguing about how they failed to bring in the scientist as well as how they lost them to you. Her fingers twirled the rings on her fingers, her thoughts out of control while the rest continued to speak. Her entire body froze when her phone vibrated in her pocket, a video and text being sent to her phone.
Unknown: I hope you enjoy your surprise :) See you soon my little witch Press play to watch video
Swiftly, she leaves the room, no one noticing her absence as they were too focussed on the argument, and heads towards hers room. Her fingers shakily pressed the play button, the phone taking a moment to load the video up.
“Hello my little witch” your voice can be heard over the groans of pain in the background. “I promised you a surprise, I hope you enjoy it,” the camera moves as you walk across the room, supposedly in an abandoned building. Soon, the man from earlier appears on screen, blood dripping down the side of his face, his white shirt unbuttoned showing the deep slashes across his chest. His head sluggishly raised to meet the camera, tears streaming down his face while a cloth was tied around his mouth to muffle the noises that left him. “Oh come on, smile for the camera,” you taunt the man, clearly unable to do so with the gag.
“Help,” the man screams behind the gag, but you only laugh in response.
“Stop with the pathetic pleads,” you groan in annoyance, moving closer to him. The bruising on his face is clearer on the phone as you move till the camera is practically in his face. “Now let’s say goodbye to witchy.” He glares at you but you're too busy trying to hold the camera still, not letting it shake with your laughter.
“Fuck you,” he manages out quite clear and you just tsk at him.
“Sorry for my rude guest,” the camera moves till it’s on your face, his blood staining your neck and collar bones. “Goodbye my little witch,” you say, a charming smile on your face as the video ends.
As soon as the video ends, she’s leaving the room, heading for the exit of the compound to find you. It doesn’t take long for her to reach your apartment, her fist pounding on the door. When you don’t answer, she tries the handle to find the door unlocked. She strides into your apartment, seeing your jacket laid across a chair along with your shoes near the door that shows you’re here.
“Y/N,” she grits out, walking through your apartment till she hears the water of the shower running. She wastes no time in heading towards the bathroom, her magic almost pulling the door off its hinges as it flies open. You turn around in the shower, smirking over your shoulder as you see her through the glass panel. The water around you is red, the dried blood on your body slowly washing off.
“It’s rude to walk in on people showering unless you plan on joining them,” you murmur, continuing your shower as if she wasn't there.
“Out. Now,” she seethes out, eyes glowing red while her fingers twitch with her magic.
“ Or what?” your sneer back, turning around in the shower, the blood now clean from your toned body.
“There is no fucking or what. Out.” Her voice sends a shiver down your spine and you turn off the water, stepping out of the shower and not bothering to wrap a towel around yourself as the water drips down your body.
“Why did you do it?” her voice wavers with anger and sadness, almost disappointment, as she looks at you. “We were going to put him in a cell to rot in for the rest of his life,” her finger jabs into your chest, pushing you back slightly before she uses her magic to wrap a towel around you so she can push you against the wall. A groan leaves your lip at the force of her shove, the wall colliding with your back painfully.
“I gave him what he deserved,” you grit out, “Do you even know what he did?”
“He still didn’t deserve to die,” she argues and you scoff at her. “He should have suffered in prison for years, not been killed.”
“You’re telling me that a man who used people, children however he wanted, didn’t deserve what I did to him.”
“You should have handled it differently,” she sighs out irritated, walking away from you and sitting on the edge of your bed. You pull on a robe and follow after her, leaning against your drawers as she stares at you.
“I didn’t kill him,” you whisper after a few moments of silence, hope glinting in her eyes.
“Where is he-”
“That doesn’t mean he isn’t already dead,” your hands run through your hair before massaging your temples. Why were you telling her this? “I sent his location to a few people who wanted him dead, he was still alive when I left him.”
“Where?” you stare at the hopeful look in her eyes, noticing how much it contrasts from her lust-filled ones, how it’s somehow even more alluring. You give in, writing down the address which she quickly types into her phone, most likely in a message to a fellow Avenger as you move to change. “Thank you,” she whispers, making you turn around to look at her. You hate how it made you feel warm inside when she said those two little words and clenched your jaw in anger at yourself. What were you doing?
“Unless you want me to fuck you, get out,” your voice is emotionless while you move to grab the bottle of whiskey from one of the drawers.
“Y/n..” her face contorts to confusion at your sudden shift in mood, a frown now on her face.
“Yes or no?”
“Y/n-” she tries again but you cut her off, walking close till you're towering over her.
“It's a simple answer, if you say yes, I’ll pin you to that bed and have you screaming my name,” her breath hitches at your words, “if you say no, you can get out and go be the hero you so desperately want to be.”
Wanda’s entire body freezes at what you just said, a new wave of anger washing over her. She scoffs as she pushes you away, “At least I’m trying to be a hero unlike you.” You glare at her while the green in her eyes turn red again. “Y/n and her fucked up ways of trying to save the world,” she practically mocks before walking away. “Talk to me when you’ve learnt how to stop being a dick,” she shouts before the front door slams shut.

Need You Now
Tumblr media
Hello, my lovelies!
So listen….this is completely self indulgent and is all Mr Evan’s fault. He just had to go and win Sexiest Man Alive and have a sexy fucking photoshoot. And those pictures just had to make me feral.
This is definitely not the best thing I’ve ever written. Threw it together in about an hour. Again having nobody to blame but Christopher.
I mean how could I not after I saw the above picture? I couldn’t not write something.
Well anyways, I hope you enjoy it!
*DISCLAIMER, if you’re under 18, just go away. This isn’t for you! Kindly fuck off. Thanks!
Words: 2.4k

😮‍💨😮‍💨😮‍💨😮‍💨😮‍💨
“Why did you agree to this again?”
You rolled your eyes at your husband as you continued doing your makeup in the mirror. “Because Andy, it’s the last good weekend before the colder weather sets in and because we were invited and I want to go.”
Your grumpy husband lets out a sigh. “I would’ve much rather done our own thing than go to this cookout.”
You put the finishing touches on your makeup and turn around to look at him. “Why? It’ll be fun! They’re our friends, Andrew. We don’t see them very much.”
Now it’s his turn to roll his eyes. “But I don’t even like half of these people.”
“Oh, come on. It won’t be that bad. I promise. If we get there and you are bored to tears and hating life, then we’ll go. Scouts honor!”
He walks until he’s standing in front of you and puts his hands on your hips. “Okay, fine. I’ll go but only because you want to. But when we get back…” He starts trailing light, barely there kisses along the side of your neck until he reaches your ear..”You better plan to be up all night, filled with me.”
Before the shivers finish trailing up your spine, Andy steps away with a chuckle to go get dressed. Well shit. Now you aren’t sure you want to go yourself. You shake your head. No. You had promised your friends you’d show up. Plus you were already ready. And you thought you looked pretty cute in your yellow sundress.
You turn back around to face the mirror to double check your hair when your husband emerges from the closet. You do a double take as he sits on the bed to slip on his boots.
Jesus Christ you have forgotten how to breathe.
Your usually suited up, straight laced A.D.A., is sitting there looking like sex on legs.
He’s in a pair of black slacks and a dark green shirt. But that’s not what has you open-mouthed and drooling. It’s the way he only buttoned up the shirt about halfway and you have a clear view of the chain he always wears and the tattoos that litter his chest. Including your name he has tattooed over his left pec.
Christ on a cracker. You can already tell your panties have soaked through. This piece of shit is doing this on purpose. He knows the effect he has on you.
“Sweetheart?”
You shake your head as you close your mouth, stunned to see him standing in front of you. He reaches up and wipes some drool from the side of your mouth. “You, uh, got some drool there.”
You open your mouth to retort but realize your brain has short circuited from the beauty of the man in front of you.
Sure, you’re married and have been together for a long time. Doesn’t mean you aren’t still widely attracted to the man.
He gives your ass a smack. “We better get going. Don’t want to be late.”
😮‍💨😮‍💨😮‍💨😮‍💨😮‍💨
After changing into a fresh pair of panties, you and Andy head on over to your neighbor's house across the street.
You both head ou tback where the party is in full blast. “Well look what the fucking cat dragged in! The Barbers!”
Your eyes instantly spot the man yelling. “Hi, Mike!”
You let go of Andy’s hand and let Mike pull you into a quick hug. You’re soon pulled out of it by his wife Kate and pulled into her arms. “Oh my god! I can’t believe you actually showed up!” She pulls away and looks you up and down. “Cute dress! Come on, let’s go get you a drink!”
You turn your head about to see if Andy wants anything, but see a beer has already been put into his hand and is standing in a circle of the other husband’s chatting. Looks like he’s even enjoying himself. You knew he would.
Kate drops your hand after you make it over to the drink table. “So, what’s your poison?”
You eye the table and decide to play it safe and stick with an old fashioned wine cooler. Kate just rolls her eyes at you. “That’s it?”
You twist the cap off and take a quick sip. Just as good as you remember them. “I don’t want to get too crazy. Plus, it’s been forever since I’ve had one of these.”
Kate looks up after she gets done pouring an adequate amount of rum into her coke. “Well, they are delicious. So, how’ve you been? How’s, uh, everything?”
You take another swig before answering. Of course she’s wondering if you’d had any luck conceiving. You shrug your shoulders. “Nothing yet, but we’ve only been trying for a few months. Plus my doctor said it may take awhile since I had been on birth control since I was 15. Might take a little bit for all those hormones to leave my system.”
She nods. “Yeah, it took about a year for me to get pregnant. Don’t worry, I’m sure it’ll happen!”
You shake your head. “I’m not worried. It’ll happen if it’s meant to. And if not, then we’ll adopt. I’m not going to stress over it. The doctor said stressing about it can make it not happen so I’m going to stay positive.”
Kate smiles at you. “That’s a great mindset! Regardless of how it happens, you’ll make an amazing momma!”
“Thank you! I hope so! I’m sure I’ll be asking you for lots of tips.”
She takes a sip of her drink as she looks over at her kids playing around the yard with the other neighborhood kids. “Oh, I’ve got plenty!”
The 2 of you are soon joined by a couple other women you hadn’t seen in awhile either. You guys chat and gossip about everything that’s been going on lately. As the conversation turns to something you’re less than interested in, you can’t help but let your eyes wander over to Andy.
The men have migrated to a group of lawn chairs and are laughing about something. Andy’s eyes catch yours and he gives you a smile. God you loved him. You return it before getting pulled back into the conversation when one of the ladies asks how your job is going.
😮‍💨😮‍💨😮‍💨😮‍💨😮‍💨
About 2 hours later it starts getting dark out. All the women had rejoined their significant others at the lawn chairs.
You were currently laying against Andy’s chest, him leaned back with his arms wrapped around you. The fire had been going for a while now and you were all nice and toasty.
A few of the couples had gathered their kids and bid their goodbyes. That left only Kate’s and Mike’s kids and a few couples left sat around the fire.
You’re just enjoying listening to the conversations going on around you, letting the vibrations of Andy’s chest as he talks to Mike lull you to sleep.
You just get your eyes shut when your phone starts going off.
You quickly grab it and silence it. Kate asks if everything is okay. You wave a hand in her direction. “Yeah, just my mom texting me.”
But that’s a lie.
That wasn’t your text tone that went off. You knew that sound well. And judging from the way Andy is now practically squirming underneath you, so does he.
You have this app on your phone to help track when you’re ovulating. And anytime you’re in a peak ovulation time, an alarm goes off. The sound has lately made your husband feral. He’ll bend you over the nearest surface and stuff you full.
Speaking of.
He is currently subtly rutting his erection into your ass.
You hold back a whimper and grab onto his arm. “Andy, stop. Not here.”
He leans down to whisper into your ear, “Should’ve thought about that when you made plans to come here. You know what that fucking alarm does to me. Need to be inside you baby girl. Now.”
Oh, fuck.
You’re about to suggest going home when the rest of the couples, and kids, start to stand up and head toward the house. Mike goes over and puts the fire out.
Kate comes over to your chair. “We’re going to head inside and watch the new Halloween movie. You guys wanna come?”
You don’t even have time to open your mouth to respond before Andy does. “Nah, I think we’re going to head home. Both of us are a little tired. Aren’t we, sweetheart?”
You nod your head. “Yeah, the fire made me tired.”
She nods. “Okay, well let’s get lunch next week?”
You agree. “Sounds great! Thank you for inviting us.”
She waves as she heads inside. You go to get up but are forcefully pulled back down. “Just where do you think you’re going, baby girl?” He moves your hair to the side and starts kissing and biting at your neck, all the while moving his right hand under your dress.
“Well I thought we could head home and take care of-“ But you’re cut off when his fingers make contact with your clothed core.
“Too far. Need you here, now.”
You go to protest but he moves your panties aside and sinks a finger into you.
You smack your hand to your mouth to keep your moan in. Andy just chuckles behind you as he adds another finger and starts scissoring them around. “Need to keep quiet, baby. Don’t want the neighbors knowing what we’re doing out here.”
You clench down on his fingers. “Oh? Maybe you do, huh? Does my baby girl want to get caught?”
You can’t even respond. You start grinding against his hand. He indulges you for a few minutes before he pulls his fingers out and flips you around so that you’re straddling him. He pulls you in for a lust filled kiss before he grabs your hands and puts them at the top of his pants. “Go on. Take me out.”
You don’t need to be told twice.
Not wasting any time, you unbutton and unzip his slacks. You quickly find out he has gone commando this evening. You look up at him in surprise. He just gives you a sexy smirk. “Easier access?”
You roll your eyes and lean back in for a kiss, your right hand wrapped around his achingly hard cock, pumping it up and down.
Andy brushes your hand away and pulls your panties to the side. “Sorry sweetheart. Need to be inside you.”
Not wanting to wait any longer yourself, you grab ahold of his cock and hover over him and rub his tip along your soaked slit before sinking down on his length. You throw your head back and let out a sigh of relief. You love nothing more than to be filled by your husband.
Andy takes a minute to watch the pleasure on your face. It doesn’t last very long though before he grabs your hips and starts grinding you back and forth in his lap.
You don’t catch the moan that escapes you this time.
“Shhh. Need to be a good girl and stay quiet while your husband fills you up.”
You nod and place your hands on his shoulders as you take over the movement of your hips, picking up the pace. Andy releases his hold on your hips and smacks your ass before pulling the top of your dress down enough so your tits spring free. He pays extra attention to your nipples, knowing how much you like it.
After a few minutes, you change from grinding to bouncing up and down on his cock as best you can on a lawn chair. You can already feel yourself close to an orgasm. “Andy, please. Gonna cum. Need help. Please.”
He repositions a little so that his left leg hangs off the side of the lawn chair and plants his foot on the ground. He grabs the back of your head with his left hand and pulls you down until you’re chest to chest, pulling you into another kiss. He takes his right hand and moves it in between you so he can rub your clit.
He uses the little leverage he has with his foot and starts thrusting up into you, hitting your g spot from this position. You moan into his mouth.
“Fuck, baby girl. Squeezing me so good. Won’t last much longer after you cum. Need to fill you up.”
You’re both now just panting into each other’s mouths. “Please Andy.N-need it. Need your cum.”
“Yeah? Need me to fill you up, huh? Yeah you do. Gonna fuck a baby into you sweetheart.”
And that’s what does you in. You cum with a silent cry, your hands digging into his shoulders.
He only lasts a few more thrusts before he gives into his own pleasure. You can feel his warm spend filling you up as he slows his thrusts down, eventually coming to a stop. You both take a minute to catch your breath before you make eye contact and burst out laughing.
“Can’t believe we just fucked on a lawn chair in our neighbors backyard.”
He pulls you in for a sweet kiss. “I fucking love you, Mrs. Barber.”
You smile. “I love you, Mr Barber.”
He cups your face and brushes his thumb against your bottom lip, smiling when you press a kiss to it. “Think we better get home, sweet girl. Before I take you on this chair again.” As he says this, you can feel him start to harden inside of you.
Startled at how quick he’s ready to go again, you quickly get up and let out a hiss as he slips out of you.
You right your clothes as best you can before grabbing your phone and helping him up.
He tucks his cock back into his slacks as best he can with a hard on and zips and buttons them up. He grabs your hand and starts practically pulling you towards your guy's house.
“Hurry up baby. That pussy isn’t going to fill itself up.”
You were in for a long night.

The Real World
(Miguel O'Hara x F!Reader)
Synopsis: Earth 1218, a place where superheroes and supervillains were nothing but mere fiction- however with the current rise in multidimensional travel- who's to say someone can't get stuck in another place?
Warnings: None, maybe bad writing again Idk
Tumblr media
It’d been a long day in your opinion, work was draining, people were draining- everything was draining.
You had to fight the urge to collapse in the entryway hall of your apartment upon entering trying to roll yourself to at least change into some comfortable clothes. At least you had the rest of the week off- the plus side of taking over some extra shifts you supposed.
Quickly peeling off your uniform and tossing it across the room you dawned some random loungewear set; finding yourself quickly tucked within the corner of your couch. Eyes sleepily watching the brightly coloured movie Netflix had recently added.
“Is he voiced by Nicolas Cage?” Murmuring to yourself while watching the monochromatic character speak you let out a sigh. The newest addition to the series had come out not too long ago and in your opinion, it was one of the best movies of the year.
Sucks that you’d have to wait a year for part two, but at least there was a plethora of fan content surfing the internet. Specifically edits and art of your favorite character,
Miguel O’Hara. What a man.
Shaking your head a little at the thought of simping for a 2D character when you were less than capable of keeping a conversation with a real person had you laughing to yourself.
The picture presumably coming off as crazy if you had a roommate or anyone else staying in your apartment, however, it was just you.
Beginning to doze off once again, your eyes barely took in the sight of King pins collider on screen. The bright light of the screen illuminated your entire apartment as though a spotlight had been shining into the room.
The sound of metal clashing against something grated against your ears- you didn't recall having surround sound let alone speakers hooked up to your TV, and why was it so damn bright.
To your relief, the light began to die down, although contrary to the peace and quiet you’d have you were unexpectedly shoved back alongside your couch.
You and the large piece of furniture flipping onto its back skidding across the hardwood floors only stopping once it'd crashed into your dining room set.
Eyes wide and brain startlingly awake now compared to a few second ago you shot up only to duck as a metal pole? Weapon?
No no, it was moving it was moving a lot.
A metal claw had seemingly embedded itself into the wall, the base of it extending in an array of wires inevitably connecting to- the back of a person?
If you weren’t in a state of shock at the moment you were sure your brain could process things better- however between the metal tendrils and claws flying around your apartment and the other sudden intruder clinging to the ceiling- you didn’t think you’d ever recover.
The scuffle they had began to grow one-sided, the other individual who you haven’t quite gotten a good view seemingly winning the fight.
Well, at least you thought they were until the other swung their tendrils around once again, knocking the stranger into the wall where the dining set had been shoved into.
“I had fun really. But I must be going. Tests to run and, other heroes to deal with.” With an almost condescending wave, the perpetrator had opened what you could only describe as a bright orange doorway, their form disappeared just as quickly as the person beside you had shot up.
An irritated yell left them upon being unable to catch the doorway, their tall form standing almost eerily in your living room all the while growing increasingly more annoyed as the watch wrapped around their wrist failed to work in the way they wanted it to.
Careful this time around to peek over the flipped couch your mouth nearly fell open at the illuminated red and blue suit, the man's voice loudly filling the apartment. “Lyla! Lyla, can you hear me? Anyone- Damn it!”
Growing more aggravated he couldn’t help but begin aggressively tapping the face of his watch, only to result in nothing.
A few more low complaints left him before he sucked in a breath beginning to assess the room. The apartment was trashed thanks to his recent fight, however, that didn’t catch his attention quite as much as the sight of you peering over the edge of your flipped couch.
“You,” pointing an almost accusing finger he’d sucked in a breath trying to make his next words less intimidating despite the irritation he felt. “Where am I?”
The question was simple, something he should’ve known however circumstances proved otherwise.
Almost surprised he’d noticed your presence your mouth felt dry, however despite the way your heart thumped and your brain buzzed you answered.
“Earth. 1218 if you want specifics.”
The eyelets of his mask seemed to widen a little at that, his attention moving around the room once again falling upon the surprisingly still-playing movie. The scene where everyone had joined together to fight the main bad guy to be exact.
Unmoving from your spot you waited for his response, nerves still buzzing and palms beginning to sweat.
Remaining quiet he raised a hand rubbing at the bridge of his nose, the head of his suit gradually disappearing until untamed brown hair was revealed. “This,” trying to figure out what he wanted to ask his head turned back to you, his eyes boring into you. “Actually no. You, know me? Yes?”
Nodding your head in response it seems like that didn’t quite give him any reassurance, so instead you spoke. “You’re Miguel O’Hara, Spider-Man 2099.” Finding yourself processing things a little better you'd added a comment. “But the Across the Spider-verse version.”
Nodding his head his hands crossed over one another, the man began to pace back and forth a little in thought.
He couldn’t believe it- out of millions of universes- he was stuck in the one where Alchemax didn’t exist.
Great.
“Was that Doctor Octopus? Or I mean one of them?”
Hearing you speak up once more his gaze moved to meet yours, a hand raising to address you. “That shouldn’t concern you.”
“Ok well if it doesn’t concern me, then why is my apartment trashed and why are you standing in my living room?”
Finding it in you to chime back right after you went to stand only to duck back down behind the couch realizing that the shirt you’d happen to throw on was a printed copy of the man’s suit.
Continuing to stare down at you his jaw clenched, arms coming to overlap one another.
Miguel had decided to ignore your input for the moment speaking as though he didn’t care for property damage. “Do you have a computer I could use?”
It was a simple question however with a nod you’d hesitant stood up again, this time snagging the blanket you previously had on to hide your attire. “Yeah…it’s uh over here.”
A bit wary of passing the man your eyes casted across him, a part of you wanting to engrave each detail into your mind while another part still had a tough time dealing with the situation.
He was so much taller than you’d thought- buffer too and much much more intimidating.
Following with quiet steps Miguel took in the rest of your apartment- quaint really. A little clutter here and there but he supposed it just gave the place some character.
“It’s a bit old but…” “This’ll be fine.” Cutting in Miguel had stepped in through the doorway you held open, large form sticking out like a sore thumb against the small guest room where you’d stuck a computer and desk, trying your best at making an office.
“Password is 2099.” At this point, you could feel exhaustion begin to creep in once more, the adrenaline felt earlier wearing down. “If you need anything I guess just uh call?”
You really should’ve thought everything out a little more, however, perhaps this was some strange dream and you’d really just passed out at work.
Either way, you were certain things were going to be fine by tomorrow morning.
---
Waking up and walking towards the main area of your apartment you barely concealed a yawn, tired eyes briefly drifting across the room seeing that the couch was in its usual spot, as was the rest of your furniture.
However, despite wanting to believe everything was a figment of your imagination- the dents in the wall and the man currently staring out the window told you otherwise. From the neck down his suit seemed to still be present, while his face remained free of the costume.
“Morning?” Finding yourself growing nervous once you’d come to the acceptance of a fictional character standing within your apartment, you remained observing him from a distance, sock-clad feet shuffling towards the kitchen where you tapped your fingers among the counter. “Did you want like a coffee or something?”
Taking in a deep breath Miguel's gaze looked towards where you stood through the reflection in the window, eyes sharp yet his form was less ridged than it was the night prior. “How likely is it that I get recognized here.”
The question was simple, something he could guess the answer to given the circumstances however it didn’t exactly hurt to get an outsider's perspective. He’d spend nearly the entire night looking into resources that could possibly help only to come up upon practically nothing.
He was basically on his own here.
Having made a fresh pot of coffee you’d poured two mugs in case the man decided he wanted something, your hands coming to curve around your own as you pondered over the question. Eyes trailing across his back for a second finding that the cartoony and animated look he had yesterday didn’t seem to stick and that he appeared more lifelike- or well, human-like in the sense that someone could just think he was a cosplayer or something along those lines.
“I wouldn’t say that likely?” Watching him turn around from his spot, the man regarded you with an inquisitive gaze, one that practically told you he was trying to gauge what kind of a person you were. “But don’t you have to get back to- you know?”
Seeing the way he noted the implication you were a little surprised as the man began nearing, the wrist that his watch had been wrapped around being lifted above the counter in clear view for you to see. “Do you see this?” With his other hand, he motioned towards what appeared to have been some sort of rust, the corner of the glass screen beginning to become chipped away. “Nanobots. They’re going to keep eating the exterior and interior until nothing is left.”
Now, there was a part of him that didn’t really want to divulge in any information with you- a part of his brain feeling like he should be guarded instead knowing that you knew more about him then he did about you.
It rubbed him the wrong way- But, it was also a common thing in this universe, so he couldn’t fault you there. If he wanted to get back and deal with things he’d have to make a new watch entirely from scratch, and if he had to do that he needed someone who knew their way around considering he was now pretty much left with only the bare minimum of information around your world.
Earth 1218 wasn’t particularly a place he wanted to be stuck in nor really pay attention to. A fault on his end he will admit.
“So? What are you planning to do?” Hesitant to ask more questions you tried to read the blank look set out across his face, the man’s brows faintly furrowing all the while he’d ended up silently accepting the other mug of coffee you’d made.
A small win in your books.
“I need to build a new one.” Answering simply he stared over the rim of the mug as he took a sip, brown hues boring into your skull as if tempting you to speak.
“And what is your plan there?”
At this point it’s not like telling you wouldn’t hurt, heroes didn’t exist in your world and neither did villains so he supposed the random civilian whose apartment he’d landed in at least deserved at least some explanation.
“Since the portal opened up in your apartment the interdimensional specks are still present here, they can be utilized to open a new doorway through a catalyst where one will open temporarily back to where the original one had opened up- which was my dimension.” Quickly explaining that he finished looking over your slightly confused look before letting out a sigh, the mug briefly being set onto the counter.
“When you start a barbeque you turn on the propane first right?” You gave a nod and he continued, “Then you use the sparker to light the propane.” He paused letting you absorb his example, the man right after using his hands to gesture around as if he were talking to a child. “The propane is like the specks and the catalyst is the sparker.”
“Do the specks ever leave?”
“I don’t know,” Finding that he himself didn’t have an answer to that he let out a breath, hand beginning to tap along the countertop.
“But this is why I need to move fast.”
---
Now, it wasn’t that you didn't want to help Miguel- quite the contrary you were elated to have been able to help him. However, he still was one of your biggest fictional crushes and currently, you’d both been crammed within the confines of your small car. A glimmer of regret sparked across your expression upon realizing how strange the music on your phone was as well as how much of a fan you actually were.
So embarrassing.
Despite your clearly tense form, he seemed rather calm. Eyes taking in as much as they could all the while running his fingers across the civilian clothes he’d swapped into. He trusted your reassurance of people not being able to recognize him, the small mirror within your apartment becoming an item of interest as he noted the change in his appearance.
It was very strange.
“So do you like, have a mental list of what you need? Or are we just going to walk in blind?” Willing yourself to break the silence you’d pulled into the parking lot of a department store, something you assumed would have at least some of the things that Miguel would need.
“I have a general idea. You don’t have to worry about it.”
“Great.” Finding yourself still sitting in the car despite having parked it you watched Miguel slip out through your peripheral, the man’s tall frame stepping away from the car only to pause.
Was…wait, was he waiting for you?
As if realizing this, you scrambled to collect your things quickly slipping out of the car and locking it behind you. Your shoes tapped against the cement as you’d caught up with the brunette coming to walk an arm's length away.
Stepping into the store you’d moved to grab a cart, arms folding over the handles as you trailed behind your newly three-dimensional companion. His sharp gaze scanning each and everything occasionally seeing something of interest into the cart.
“What is the most recent thing that was invented here?” Glancing back at where you leisurely strolled behind him Miguel watched as his voice had caused you to jump slightly, attention trailing away from whatever was on your mind.
“Probably VR? That’s I think the most recent thing. No flying cars or anything like that here- too much of a liability really if you think about it. People are stupid.”
Unsure of what to really take from that answer he couldn’t help but let out a low snort, head shaking from one side to the other in a sort of agreement towards your ‘people are stupid’ bit.
Conversation after that seemed to come a bit easier, the topic ranging from either of you asking a question to the other or just something else mundane.
It wasn’t really much longer till the two of you were back in your apartment, bags in hand filled with miscellaneous items that may or may not help with Miguel's current situation. It didn’t take long for both of you to part; you mentioned how you were going to patch up the holes left in the wall and Miguel just motioning towards your office which at this point had become his temporary residence.
At least for the time being. Only time would tell how long he would be stuck there.
---
“A hologram, it’s a hologram.”
“No, it’s UMF, not a hologram. Unstable Molecule Fabric.”
“But is it actually fabric? I haven't read the comics.” Starring almost too intently down at Miguel's arm that was still clad in his suit you spared him a glance, the tips of your ears nearly burning off at the ‘are you kidding?’ look he’d given.
“If it were fabric I’d tear through it anytime I needed to use these.” Raising his hand small claw-like spikes rose from the pads of his fingers, something you’d nearly forgotten alongside the fact he had fangs.
It’d been about three days since his initial appearance, and a watch prototype was steadily being made however despite the many protests on his end you were able to convince the man to take a break here and there.
Just like a regular person he still needed to eat and sleep and whatnot, and with nobody else there to remind him- namely Lyla, you were the only person left.
He was aggravated about it when you’d first done it, however, the retort of ‘making up for the damage to my apartment’ was what kept his annoyance at bay- he did feel bad at this point for the amount of damage that was caused despite not really caring when it first happened.
You’d been quite helpful- not in the same sense as another spider-person or Lyla but in the sense of a personified conscience.
That and he found it amusing sometimes how you’d often try to hide whatever spider-themed merchandise you had. The look of shock and embarrassment was written across your face when he’d found a mug with the same design as his mask was nearly priceless.
In a comedic sense of course- you were, entertaining.
As if snapping back to reality he retracted the claws, shaking his head a bit-Focus. “I need to get back to working on the device.”
“Alright. You know where to find me if you need me.” Musing that out knowing that he was eager to get back to work you watched him spare you a nod, form disappearing back into the hallway where you’d only see him emerge from once every few hours.
If that guy could work himself to death you’d bet he would.
---
Emerging from the room he’d been in Miguel let out a breath, his watch was still gradually deteriorating while the watch he’d been working on seemed at least a quarter of the way done-there were so many things he still had to do, and had to fix before he could even try and open up a gate.
Raising a hand and running it through his hair he let out a breath, eyes taking a moment to adjust to the lack of light in the apartment spotting the gentle glow of the living room TV. Glancing towards the end of the hall where your room had been he could see that the door was open and nobody was inside leading him to assume you’d been curled up on the couch as he’d noted you often did.
There were a few things you did that he found himself unwillingly taking note of. One of the few being how you always nestled yourself into the very corner of the couch when watching a show or movie, or- as of recently how whenever you brewed coffee or tea that you’d made a second cup.
Quietly trekking through the hallway and into the main room another sigh left him upon seeing the way you’d fallen asleep, three thoughts beginning to conflict one another within the confines of his brain as he’d waited to see if you were indeed asleep.
Which you were.
Muttering under his breath in another language he trailed a little closer; on one hand he should just wake you up and remind you of the last time you’d fallen asleep on the couch and had complained for the whole day. However on another hand, he felt like the sight brought some comfort he hadn’t felt in a long time.
Most of the interaction with you brought some sort of strange comfort- something he tried his damnedest to ignore in favor of dealing with his current circumstances. He knew Lyla for sure would be either teasing or harping on him for whatever reason.
Weighing all his options he seemed to just give in, the man's frame looming before you as he’d leaned down to stick his arms under your curled-up frame, the blanket you had coming along as he’d hauled you up silently.
What was he thinking-
A low hum in what he could only describe as content left you, cheek leaning to the side against him as he’d marched down the hall coming to lean over the surface of your bed where he set you down. Gaze softening only a little as he’d puffed out a breath through his nose.
“Stop it O’Hara.” Remarking that to himself he’d turned on his heel, head shaking from side to side.
“You have your priorities.”
---
Waking up nestled within the warm covers of your bed wasn’t the first thing that roused you from sleep- no no, the thing that roused you was the mug currently being held in front of your sleeping form. Mouth dry and hair a mess.
“Morning.”
Blinking a few times at the greeting you stared up at Miguel in suspicion, heart thumping softly at how the morning sun that’d crept through your curtains illuminated his defined features.
“Did you- is the watch finished?” Noting how he donned civilian clothes instead of his suit you blinked a few more times trying to figure out why there was this feeling of missing something.
“Almost.” Answering easily he moved to lean against the side of your doorframe, brown hues regarding you with a mix of undecipherable emotions. “Your neighbour came knocking on your door this morning.”
Having taken a sip from your mug you nearly choked at what he’d said, knowing that no matter which neighbour it was that they were nosy as hell.
“And you didn’t come get me? What did they want?”
At that, you swore you could see the edge of his lip twitch up, shoulder pushing off the doorframe. “She said to keep it quiet. There's kids in the building.”
Setting your drink to the side you flung the covers of your bed over your face, a sort of muffled groan coming out. That was so embarrassing they must’ve gotten the wrong impression by all the noise when the fight had happened- oh god that- as if coming to a realization you flung the sheets back down. “And what did you say?!”
“I apologized,” In the moment he wasn’t sure what exactly to say, attention focused on how you were nearly at the edge of your seat in anticipation awaiting the response- face faintly flushed. “And told her we’d keep it down.”
Why did he say that? He wasn’t sure, it was out of character a bit but the reaction it got out of you made the response all the better.
Maybe, just maybe it wouldn’t hurt to get to know you properly.
---
As he’d mentioned the watch was finished within a few days. The device now sitting silently ontop of the desk; the plan of using it later being written off for the time being.
In those days you’d taken note of the slight banter that’d happen between yourself and Miguel. Things seemingly becoming more friendly despite the situation and you couldn’t help but be more than enthused about it.
“You want to see some of my favourite places?” Taken aback by the request you stated at him in a mix between disbelief and surprise. “I thought you had to go back as soon as possible?”
“I do, but the window to open a gate is open better around the time it was last time- so late in the evening.”
Whether that was an excuse or not was up to you to discern.
Pursing your lips together you continued to stare at him inquisitively. “Ok well, uh we could go check out this market? I don’t know how good it is now since I haven’t been able to go in years.”
“If that’s where you’d like to go.”
Side eyeing him once more you nodded lightly, beginning to round up what you needed before the two of you had quickly set off.
The cars atmosphere quiet until he’d spoken. “When all this first happened. What did you think?”
Perhaps it was the inevitability of him having to leave that spurred the question on or had led him to become more open- but nonetheless the question was something he’d grown curious about.
When you’d first met he could tell you were in a state of shock, whether from the fight or from his appearance didn’t matter. Your answers were thought out and yet he recalled how you’d walked around him at a distance, keeping that distance until later on. Disbelief is what he chalked it up to however he was also partially to blame on the distance.
“Well, I thought I was crazy- of course who wouldn’t. I thought maybe it was some weird vivid dream.” Your fingers began to tap softly against the steering wheel. “Also you’re like really intimidating, you know that?”
“So I’ve been told.”
“Self awareness is the key to happiness.” Pulling into the parking lot outside of where the little market was you quickly popped out, excitement gradually brewing within you.
Shaking his head he himself stepped out of the car, moving to trail behind you as you begun maneuvering through the varying stalls. Little hand carved and hand made trinkets covered each table, the person standing behind sparing those who’d passed by a kind smile.
It was so calm over here- in this world. Compared to really anything he had to deal with.
“Miguel-“ Brown hues warmly trailed towards where you had emerged from, the man unknowingly having spaced out for a second enough for you to disappeared and come back. “Give me your hand.”
“Why?”
“Just- hold it out for me come on, this is your last day here.” Putting your own had up and trying to coax him to do the same you quickly moved to lace your hand with his once he’d complied, your other hand moving a bracelet from your wrist across your hands onto his.
“There.” Pulling your hand back your face flushed a little at the stoic look he had, eyes fixed on the small accessory. “I tried to pick something that sits flat for you and doesn’t look particularly flashy.”
As you’d mentioned it wasn’t particularly flashy, the design of it was just a collection of chevrons wrapping around the length of his wrist made up of some sort of grey stone.
Forcing a cough into his hand his face turned to the side. “Thank you.”
That small show of gratitude nearly had you bouncing off the ground. A smile that could probably rival the sun bloomed across your face.
“I’m glad you like it, it’s just a little something to remind me by.”
“You’re not that immemorable.”
It seemed like a slight changing of tide after that, the both of your resuming your little stroll through the stalls bringing up some meaningless conversation.
It felt like, now that everything was coming to an end you’d never felt more at home. Thinking back on it you quite enjoyed Miguel’s company, not just in the ‘you were my fictional crush kind of way’ but in the way that a domestic couple would- as much as you wouldn’t say that out loud.
That sort of companionship was something your heart yearned for however it just showed you that fate was a cruel thing- maybe this was your canon event.
Reaching the unattainable and being doomed to fall.
—-
“And you’re sure this won’t blow up my apartment or something?”
“It might?”
“That is not comforting at all.” Rolling your eyes in return at his answer you remained slightly ducked behind the couch while Miguel stood where he first did when he first arrived.
The watch he previously wore was stripped away, the corroded metal being too far gone to savage and in its place was the missmash of parts that made up what you could only assume was the new one.
Watching him tap a few things onto it you couldn’t help but call out, “Miguel,” Turning briefly to show you had his attention you continued. “Thanks.”
“For?”
Your lips curled into a faint smile, “not being a product of my psychosis.”
His lips quirked up at this, head shaking as a low airy laugh left him. A sort of melancholic look crossing his face as he tapped a few more things among his watch, a spark of orange gradually beginning to grow until a portal had opened up. “See you around (Y/N).”
Nodding his way you couldn’t help but wish the portal hadn’t opened up in the frist place- but it did and just as quickly as it’d opened it closed leaving you on your own.
An almost bitter laugh leaving your lips.
---
Weeks later you found yourself snuggled into the comfort of your bed, hand scrolling aimlessly across some edits. The sound of your phone barely did much in comparison to the quiet thrum of your apparement.
Despite knowing you’d be coming home to an empty apartment you couldn’t help but think deep in your heart that something might be different.
Nodding off a little your eyes barely took note of the light shining into your livingroom, the orange glow disappearing quickly.
Your brows furrowed at this, phone clutched tightly within your hand as you strained your ears to listen for anything.
Nothing.
Slipping out from beneath the safety of your blankets your feet quietly padded their way down the hall, eyes struggling to adjust to the dark. Your hand followed the length of the wall, heart rate gradually beginning to speed up as you willed yourself to look into the livingroom.
Nothing.
Letting out a breath you tensed quickly as something had pressed against your eyes, your own hands reactively reaching up finding them wrapping around someone’s wrists. Their large hands being the reason for your current lack of vision.
The feeling of someone leaning over your shoulder had caused your nerves to spike, however once their spoke did your nerves spike for a different reason.
“Guess who?”

“Are you sure?”
“Yes, I'm sure.”
“But like..are you sure?”
You let out a sigh as you walked over to the vanity table, leaning down and looking into the mirror, smiling at Sydney and resting your hand on her shoulder.
“I'm one million percent sure. You look stunning.”
“But-”
“Stunning,” You held your hand up. “Just relax, today is supposed to be fun, remember?”
Syd nodded, taking a deep breath.
“I know. Fun.”
“Good,” You smiled, standing back up straight and smoothing out your forest green dress. “I'm gonna run outside for a super quick smoke then I'll be right back.”
You grabbed your coat, throwing it on and heading out of the hotel room. You passed some other guests as you made your way out to the front of the building, giving them all a polite nod and smile. You had been so focused on keeping Syd calm that you didn't realize there were butterflies in your own stomach.
Once the fresh air hit you, you felt a little better. You took a seat on the patio, fishing your cigarettes from your coat pocket. There were some kids playing on the grass, a couple of other smokers standing by the wall and chatting.
“Oh, hey. Mind if I join you?”
You looked up and smiled as you spotted Richie, a coat thrown over his navy suit.
“Of course you can,” You gestured to the chair opposite you. “Be my guest.”
You lit your cigarette as Richie sat down, closing your eyes for a moment and savoring it.
“Can I ask you something?” Richie asked, lightly tapping his fingers on the round table. “It's a little stupid but.."
“Ask me anything,” You nodded, sitting back and pulling your coat around yourself. “I'm sure it won't be stupid.”
“You're the maid of honor, right?” Richie asked, reaching into his pocket for a pack of smokes.
“Right,” You nodded, raising a brow. “I am. And you're the best man.”
“Yeah,” Richie nodded, dropping the box in his hand down onto the table. “Never thought I'd see the fucking day.”
He lit his cigarette, sitting back and looking up for a moment.
“Are you..nervous, at all?”
You thought about it for a moment, flicking your cigarette and nodding slowly.
“Pretty fucking terrified, if I'm honest. I mean, I'm so thrilled that it's finally here and everything but..I am really not looking forward to having to get up and make a speech.”
“Same,” Richie nodded, rubbing his forehead. “I thought it would be easy but..it's hard to find the right words. You gotta be so..personal and funny and charming and it's..a lot.”
You tilted your head slightly as you took a drag on your cigarette, blowing the smoke off to the side.
“Your speech at the rehearsal dinner was amazing, you could do the exact same one and it would be great.”
“Nah,” Richie shook his head. “That was different..that was a smaller group, more relaxed..today is like three times as many people. I'm not great with rehearsed stuff, I prefer to just say what comes to mind but..I don't want to say the wrong fucking thing.”
You smiled softly as you sat up, looking over to Richie. You weren't super close, but you knew him through Sydney and from what you did know he seemed like a pretty decent guy, certainly funny and charming.
“Why don't you just write some notes for yourself?” You suggested. “Not a whole speech but like..some bullet points to hit. It will still be natural but with a little more structure to fall back on.
“Hm,” Richie nodded, looking up for a moment. “That might do it. Thanks.”
“Anytime,” You smiled. “It's what I've done. The last thing I want is to get up there and go blank.”
“You'll be fine,” Richie smiled, taking a drag on his cigarette and glancing over to the hotel. “Your speech last night was pretty great.”
You smiled to yourself, flicking your cigarette and looking up for a moment, the sun starting to emerge from the clouds. You sat in comfortable silence with Richie, the sound of kids playing in the background and birds chirping filling the air around you.
“I better get back,” You stubbed out your cigarette and stood up, wrapping your coat around yourself. “I'll see you later.”
“See you at the altar,” Richie nodded, covering his face after a moment and shaking his head. “Sorry, I didn't mean it like that..”
You laughed softly, looking over to him.
“Don't worry, you have to take me up the aisle first."
Before long you were standing in the church entrance with Syd, her father, the other bridesmaids and the groomsmen, a nervous excitement filling you.
“You look so beautiful,” You smiled at Syd, taking her hand. “I'm so proud of you.”
“Don't make cry,” Syd laughed softly, squeezing your hand. “I need some photos without tears in my eyes.”
“Okay everyone, places,” The wedding co-ordinator clapped her hands. “line up.”
“I love you, you got this.” You smiled at Syd, squeezing her hand before taking your place at the back of the line next to Richie.
“Fancy seeing you here,” He grinned, holding out his arm. “Care to take a walk?”
“Oh I would love to,” You grinned, wrapping your hand around Richie's bicep. “though I don't think I have much choice, with Napoleon up there.”
At the front of the line the wedding co-ordinator was shooing everyone down the aisle, snapping her fingers for the next pair.
Richie laughed beside you, and you smiled as the two of you stepped forward, clutching your bouquet in your hand as you stepped into the church.
You had never been so grateful for waterproof mascara in your life, spending the majority of the ceremony in tears as you watched Syd and Carmy exchange beautiful vows. Occasionally you would catch Richie's eye and he would give you a reassuring smile, making you smile a little wider.
Once the reverend declared “You may now kiss the bride,” the church erupted into a sea of applause and cheers, whistles and whoops. You watched with immense pride as the newly married pair walked down the aisle together, flower petals being strewn over them.
The reception was held on the grounds of the hotel, billowing white marquees set up, covered with flowers and paper lanterns. While the guests mingled and drank champagne, the official pictures were taken, your cheeks starting to hurt from smiling so much.
You cried again when Syd insisted she wanted a picture with just you and her, wrapping your arms around each other as the photographer snapped the photo.
When it was your turn to take a photo with Richie, Syd gave you a wink and you rolled your eyes with a grin, going to stand next to the older man and laughing softly as he held his arm in mid air, unsure what to do with it.
“Just wrap it around my waist,” You smiled, gently moving his arm before touching his back. “I don't bite.”
“What if I ask nicely?” Richie leaned in to murmur in your ear, making you laugh and your heart race.
Before long you had a glass of champagne in your hand and got to mingle with the guests, posing for some more casual photos and doing what felt like a million twirls in your dress.
When it was time for dinner, you were relieved to finally sit down and relax, trying to remember who had told you that the maid of honor doesn't get to eat because that was ridiculous. The food was obviously delicious, there was no way you were leaving it untouched.
After dinner, there was a little pause before the speeches, your heart starting to race at the thought. You took a long sip of wine, trying to calm yourself. Both Syd and Carmy made speeches, both of them sending you into yet more floods of tears.
When it was Richie's turn, you gave his arm a gentle squeeze before he stood up, watching him deliver a speech that was the perfect blend of emotional, personal and funny.
“No pressure,” He grinned as he sat back down, handing you the microphone. “You got this.”
You stood up slowly, looking out to the large crowd and taking a deep breath.
"Hi everyone," You smiled, biting your lip softly. You introduced yourself, placing your hand over your heart and feeling it hammer under your touch. “I am also the maid of honor, and the most fortunate to also be Sydney's best friend."
You looked down to her and felt yourself relax as she smiled at you, taking a deep breath before looking back to the crowd.
"I am so beyond excited and proud to be here today with you all to celebrate Sydney and Carmen, the most wonderful couple."
There were loud cheers, and you found yourself smiling more.
"Syd and I first met in elementary school, the very first day of first grade. We were randomly assigned to sit together, and when she let me borrow her scooby doo pencil I knew I had found a friend. From day one she has been the most incredibly kind, loyal, smart, creative, funny girl, and my life would not be the same without her,” You glanced down to her with a grin and gently touched her shoulder before looking back.
“She is so talented and driven, there's nothing she can't put her hand to. I remember when she told me she'd applied for the CIA, and how hard she laughed when I told her I never knew she wanted to be a spy," You paused as there was a flood of laughter, feeling your heart beat calm. "then the day came when she got her acceptance letter, we sat in my rickety old car, staring at this envelope until eventually opening it after about 56 hours, and when we saw she was accepted we started screaming and crying and hugging for another 56 hours."
You paused, looking over to Syd and Carmy with a smile. "But of course, we are here to celebrate Syd and her wonderful husband, Carmy,"
There was another round of cheers and applause, Richie whistling beside you.
“I remember when Syd told me she had started seeing someone,” You continued with a smile. “and I immediately knew who it was, it was honestly a relief that I didn't have to keep hearing ‘we're just friends’ because..come on,” You raised a brow with a grin, laughter ringing around the room.
“But I must say, I have been so privileged to see their relationship go from strength to strength, they are the most perfect couple I know, and to be here now celebrating their wedding is such a blessing,” You beamed, tears starting to sting the corners of your eyes.
“As I said, Syd and I have been best friends for a long time now, and I can honestly say that Carm has brought out the best in her, from the first moment she told me about him I could see something new in her, a renewed drive and fire. They bring out the best in each other, they encourage each other to be the best they can be and lift each other up to new heights.”
You wiped your eyes, smiling as Syd reached up to touch your arm.
“All you want is for the people you love to be happy,” You smiled, looking down to Syd and Carmy. “and I can safely say I have never known Syd to be happier than she is with Carm. If I had to give Carm any advice it would be..keep doing what you're doing, keep lifting her up and pushing her and celebrating her. And always, always, let her choose the movie,” You grinned.
“I wish you both all the love and happiness in the universe, thank you so much for letting me be part of your lives, I love you both so much.”
There was a rapturous round of applause and you felt the tears flow freely as Syd and Carmy stood up to hug you. When you sat back down, Richie gave you a smile, gently touching your arm.
“Aced it.”
A little while after dinner, the DJ set up and called Syd and Carmy up for their first dance. They both looked a little embarrassed as they made their way to the center of the dancefloor, but when the opening strains of Ella Fitzgerald's ‘Let's fall in love’ began, they wrapped their arms around each other and began to sway along to the music. He whispered something in her ear and she covered her mouth as she laughed, your heart melting at the sight.
As the dance floor began to fill for the next song, you turned to see Richie beside you, holding out his hand with a smile.
“Care to dance?”
“I thought you'd never ask.”
You fell into an easy rhythm with Richie, he spun you around and dipped you dramatically as you laughed, wrapping your arms around his neck as he pulled you back up. His hands settled on your waist, your eyes meeting. It felt natural, comfortable.
The song ended sooner than you would have liked, leaving you standing there in Richie's arms, your heart racing. He was about to say something when you felt a hand on your back and turned to see Syd, pulling you in for a dance. You glanced back at Richie, mouthing an apology before turning back to Syd with a grin, the two of you singing along to ‘This Will Be’.
After you danced with what felt like every single guest, you slipped outside for a smoke, the lights from the marquee illuminating the perfect lawn.
“Fun day huh?”
You glanced over your shoulder and smiled as you spotted Richie, walking over to join him. His jacket was gone and his tie was loose around his neck.
“I've never been so happy while crying so much,” You laughed softly. “I guess that's just weddings.”
“Yeah,” Richie nodded, taking a drag on his cigarette. “Especially this one. I was starting to worry cousin would never propose.”
“Hm, I always knew he would,” You grinned, folding your arms and flicking your cigarette. “From the first moment I met him. I saw the way he looked at Syd and I could see wedding bells. You know when two people are just clearly meant to be together but they're too stubborn to see it?”
“Those two wrote the fucking book on it,” Richie shook his head with a laugh. “If I had to see them making puppy eyes at each other once more I was gonna clunk their heads together.”
You laughed, your hand sitting over your chest.
“You would've had to get in line, I was first up to clunk them.”
You took a drag on your cigarette, looking up and blowing the smoke away before looking back at Richie.
“I never thanked you for our dance, earlier. Sorry about that, I wouldn't want you to think I didn't enjoy it..I haven't been dipped like that in a long while.”
“Oh yeah?” Richie raised a brow with a grin. “It was my pleasure.”
You smiled as met his eyes, a warmth settling over you.
There was a call for everyone to head inside as Syd and Carmy cut the wedding cake, the two of them laughing as they cut into it, sharing a kiss that had the room filling with cheers.
Syd’s dad took you for a spin on the dance floor after the cake, you posed for more photos, drank more champagne and felt happier than ever.
As you made your way back into the hotel at god only knows what time, you felt pleasantly buzzed. A group of you stayed in the bar for a while, telling stories and laughing raucously. At some point you found yourself in Richie's lap, his arm around your waist, your head tucked into his neck.
As the group started to peel off, you found yourself walking down a hallway with Richie, your arm around his waist, his arm around your shoulders. All too soon you were outside your room, reaching into your bag for your key.
“Drink some water,” Richie told you, holding his hand up, pointing at you. “and get some rest.”
“I'll agree to one of those,” You smiled, lightly tapping your key against your palm. “Come on.”
You opened the door and walked inside, smiling as Richie followed you.
“I'm just making sure you have that water,” He insisted, going to the desk and picking up a bottle of water, pouring it into a glass. “That's all.”
“I know,” You grinned, watching him. “you're being very responsible.”
You accepted the glass that was handed to you, noticing that Richie wasn't exactly rushing out the door.
“Could you do me a favor?” You asked, smiling sweetly.
“Of course.” Richie nodded, looking at you with curiosity. “What is it?”
“Take this off?” You gestured to your dress, turning around and pointing to the zipper along your back. “I can't quite reach.”
“Oh," Richie murmured softly, clearing his throat. “Uh..yeah, let me just..”
You waited for a moment before you felt him move behind you, his hands carefully holding the zipper and easing it down.
“That feels better,” You sighed softly, holding your dress to your chest as you turned back around, taking a sip of water. “Thank you.”
“You're welcome,” Richie murmured softly, his gaze darkening as he looked at you. “I..I should go.”
You felt a disappointed tension rise in you as Richie really did leave, leaving you alone in your hotel room. You half expected him to knock on the door the second he closed it but when he didn't you let out a frustrated sigh.
Taking your dress off, you hung it up in the closet before throwing on the silvery gray silk robe embroidered on the back. You removed your makeup, brushed your teeth, finished the glass of water and were just about to get into bed when you heard a knock on your door.
You put your robe back on before heading to the door, opening it and finding Richie standing on the other side of it.
“Lost my room key.”
You looked at him for a moment before you gently took his tie in your hand, tugging him forward.
“Don't worry, you won't need it.”

Every skeleton's reaction to a human that wants to dress him up in pretty and sparkly clothes, like a doll.
I'll assume it's their kid, because none of them would say yes to a stranger (except Rus, but Rus is weird).
Undertale Sans - Suit yourself. Don't expect him to help though. He's just going to stay there and nap, like a ragdoll, and not moving an inch. He doesn't care, especially if it's his kid doing it.
Undertale Papyrus - He's not sure how it's going to work since, in case you didn't notice, he is very tall, and you are very small. But he's down to it. He always loves parents-kids activities, even weird ones!
Underswap Sans - He's cringing so hard but he knows S/O will growl at him if he doesn't do it so he accepts. He's bitter though. He doesn't like when people remind him he's cuter than normal. As long as he's not only that, it's fine. He knows his kid has no bad intentions anyway.
Underswap Papyrus - He slouches on the floor. Let's go, he's all yours. Honey does have sparkly clothes anyways so nothing new here. He's a cosplayer and he has no problem playing female characters. He's really happy his kid seems to get that pretty dresses are not only for women. That's a proud parent moment.
Underfell Sans - He was about to growl a no, but he made the mistake of looking into his kid's pleading puppy eyes. It's over. He can't resist. With a very loud sigh, he tells the kid to hurry up already. He still refuses to look at the final result though. He has his pride. Nah, just kidding, the kid threatened to cry and he ran to the bathroom to "admire himself in the mirror", forcing himself to compliment his new clothes as Uncle Edge is clearly choking in the background, taking pictures. But eh, that's a good opportunity! Red sneakily tells the kid they should do Uncle Edge too. The kid is so happy. Edge... not. But Edge can't say no to his nephew/niece so rest in peace.
Underfell Papyrus - The worst part was that Undyne was the one who proposed it to his kid, who immediately got excited with the idea. Edge couldn't say anything as Aunt Undyne decided it would happen and that's it. Now he's suffering, getting dressed by both his kid and his boss into dresses and forcing makeup on his bones. He wants to kill Undyne so bad but he can't do it in front of his kid so he's holding back, slowly losing it. He's going to have his revenge, one way or another.
Horrortale Sans - As long as you're not getting near his headhole, he's very fine with it. He doesn't really care as long his kid is having fun. He likes being called a pretty princess by his child and he has no shame showing it, simply purring happily as his child is painting his "nails", or, well, his entire fingers. Same thing.
Horrortale Papyrus - He's usually happy to please his child but... Their pretty dress is short. Like... It stops at the end of his chest, and it's so small he can't breathe. He's scared to make any movement, by fear the dress will just explode. He doesn't want to make his child sad... But that's not the best activity he did yet.
Swapfell Sans - He tries to stay as neutral as he can, but it's hard. So, he was actually happy to let his child dress him in a bright pink shiny dress until the Queen entered his house without knocking for an emergency. Now he's talking about a possible criminal attack in the city dressed as a shiny princess and he's doing his job without blinking. Because if he blinks, he's going to die he thinks. The Queen doesn't even say anything about his dress, they both decide to ignore this fact to avoid further embarrassment.
Swapfell Papyrus - Not only he's going to dress like a princess, but he's going to dress his kid as a princess as well, and then they're both going to parade in the street like the queens they are, with sunglasses and Nox's luxury car he decided to steal on the way out. Nox is going to lose his mind when he will learn that Rus, who has no idea how to drive, threw his beautiful car at full speed into the wall of McDonald's.
Fellswap Gold Sans - He doesn't need an excuse like this to wear a dress thank you very much. Instead of letting his child dress him, he begins to work on handmade matching dresses for his kid and him. They're going to make everyone so jealous in town. Wine is very proud of his creation.
Fellswap Gold Papyrus - He's not too sure about this but he doesn't want to make his kid sad so he does it. Turns out he's a pretty decent doll. But at the first nice thing his kid says to him, he turns bright tomato and you can't get him to say another word because he's blushing hard.

According to my ao3 history I’ve revisited this 79 times. Rodney thinking he’s homophobic when in fact he’s jealous is SUCH a good amazing trope. Also the sex scene in this is SO incredibly good 🫠
Okay I’m stopping there but like, if anyone wants to reblog with their own fluffy faves for this anon? Yes!

Sitting in one of the imaging rooms in your own hospital, a room you’d previously spent countless hours in and would go on to spend countless more, brought you a small bit of peace. You were surrounded by familiar faces and doctors you trusted and respected, and that made a world of a difference in your confidence for Mary’s outcome. Despite how close you were to the case no one was excluding you from conversations or keeping you out of the loop on anything, you were given just as much of a voice as Dr. Lewis in dictating her care as you looked over several of her scans and brainstormed a game plan. If this was truly your case you would have kicked your own ass to the curb several hours ago but the patience and grace everyone was extending you didn’t go unnoticed.
“What if you try coming in through here?” you asked, and Dr. Lewis pondered your suggestion for a moment, trying to visualize before shaking his head.
“If I insert the probe here,” he said, illustrating the path with his fingers, “I’m going to disrupt something here,” he circled around Broca’s Area. “Do that and she’ll lose the ability to speak, she’s a teacher right?”
“Third grade, and she’s damn good at it,” you sighed.
“Then we aren’t taking any risks, I think our best course here is to go in this way,” he said, outlining a new pathway and you nodded.
“It’s still tricky but I think that’s going to be the best approach,” you agreed.
“Why did you end up leaving neuro? You’ve clearly got a knack for it,” he asked suddenly, looking you over curiously.
“I loved neuro, did Dr. Adams tell you he used to call us the Brain Buddies?” you asked and he shook his head laughing. “He’d go around the hospital saying it like we were some superhero duo… I used to think there was no high like neurosurgery, but then one day there was this massive train crash. Most people were too unstable to move so we went to them. When we got there most had already died and the ones who hadn’t were one slight breeze away from following suit. There was this girl, about my age, who was bleeding out faster than I could control. Nothing was working and I began to panic… trauma is quick and dirty, there’s no time to gameplan or even think, you just have to figure it out as you go and be resourceful, so I used dirt,” you chuckled though it really wasn’t funny. “I just scooped a handful and packed the wound and it worked… we had to load her up on so many antibiotics she got C. Diff and the poor thing needed a fecal transplant but she made a full recovery,” you said with a smile. “That was a high unlike anything else, and I just never looked back. Trauma is where all the fun is.”
“You sound exactly like one of my buddies who’s a doctor with the Army… you ever considered that path?”
“Briefly but… Jake, Mary’s son, is in the Navy. Every deployment crushes both of our parents and they worry, I couldn’t do that to them… I think they’d all lose their minds if they lost both of their kids to that life,” you said and he nodded.
“Well, let’s go give her some good news, let her know what the plan is.” Mary was surprisingly calm throughout the whole thing, she didn’t even blink when Dr. Lewis briefed her on all the risks (stroke, paralysis, loss of speech, death), all she had said was well, if I can’t speak there’s always sign language and death is better than a painful year of chemo. Really she didn’t care about any of it, she asked if you agreed with his approach and she’d said that was all she needed to know when you’d answered yes. She’d truly put all of her trust in you, she let go of the whole thing and just accepted that because you said it would be okay that it would… and that terrifies you beyond belief. You were a confident doctor, always had been, but right now with her looking at you with such pride and peace you felt sick, knowing that no matter how good a patient’s outcome looks going into surgery that can always change at the drop of a hat.
“That’s the attitude, Mary, keep that up… patients who go in with a positive outlook are much more likely to come out the other side,” Dr. Lewis said. You oversaw the interns in charge of her pre-op care and she had watched through amused eyes as you ordered them around and even called you a hardass… much like Jake had done when he’d visited you in Boston.
“It seems mean now but Dr. Stevens will tell you his skills have improved since I came around to knock some sense into him. If you put the fear of god in them they’re much more malleable,” you joked.
“It must be working because they are terrified to disappoint you,” Mary said and you didn’t miss how proud she sounded.
“Jupiter is very tough, tougher than any of the attendings but I’ve learned a lot from her,” Dr. Stevens confirmed and you narrowed your eyes at him. “And she makes a mean chocolate chip cookie, I heard that was your recipe.”
“Stop kissing my ass and bring me her updated labs,” you said and he nodded quickly as we went to leave the room, “and just because I’m off duty that doesn’t mean I’m not doctor to you!” you called after him and Mary just laughed.
“I like seeing this side of you,” she said, looking up at you appreciatively and you gave her a warm smile. “If I’m being honest I thought wanting to be a surgeon at twelve years old was just a crazy phase… thought you maybe saw a cool doctor in a movie or something but looking at you now… I couldn’t imagine you doing anything else,” she said.
“I wouldn’t be here without you,” you said, giving her hand a squeeze and you noticed Jake enter the room without saying a word.
“You’ll be in the surgery?” she asked and you nodded.
“I’m not allowed to be involved in the actual operation… it’s too much of a conflict of interest, but Dr. Lewis has graciously agreed to let me be in the room with you.”
“That makes me feel better… knowing you’ll be there,” she said and you gave her another smile before you excused yourself to step into the hallway when Dr. Stevens flagged you down and you looked over her labs in relief.
“What do these tell you?” you asked, handing the paper back to him and he looked at you curiously for a moment, “I taught you better than this, Dr. Stevens, I know you can read labs,” you said.
“I just… I didn’t expect you to be teaching right now,” he said and you watched as he looked over the paper and processed the information. “These all look good, she’s in optimal shape to be heading into surgery,” he said and you nodded.
“Exactly, let Dr. Lewis know and page me when you’re taking her up.”
“Didn’t expect you to be teaching right now either,” you heard Jake say and you turned around to face him with a sigh.
“Your mom’s case is an incredible teaching example and Dr. Stevens shows promise within neuro. Your mom understands that, she’s thrilled he’s getting to learn from her and she wants me to take the opportunity to teach when I can, it’s my job.” you said.
“But you’re not working right now,” he said and you gave a soft nod.
“You’re right, I’m not… I’m just doing everything I can to make sure she receives the best standard of care and teaching when I have the opportunity to ensures that, not just for her but for everyone else’s mom that comes in after her.” He just nodded and you could tell that he was annoyed with you. “Jake, just talk to me.”
“We’ve already gone through the procedure, I don’t need to talk about it anymore,” he replied and you furrowed your brows.
“You know that’s not what I mean.”
“I need you, J. I need you and you’re not here,” he said in a hushed whisper, trying to avoid the nosy ears of your interns at the desk just a few feet away.
“I’m right here,” you said but he just shook his head.
“You’re not. You’re making calls and teaching interns, or holed away in an imaging room and you’re talking to me like I’m just some patient’s family member. There’s enough doctors around here, I just needed you… I needed you to be my Jupiter through this and you were just another doctor,” he said with a disappointed look before stepping back into his mother’s room and any tension that had eased after setting the plan in place with Dr. Lewis was back in full force. Your heart ached and you wanted to go after him but you knew this wasn’t the moment… he was angry and scared and he didn’t understand where you were coming from and that was all okay. There was no way to rationalize with his mother heading into brain surgery in less than an hour and you chose to believe that when the dust settled and she came out the other side things would level out but as selfish as it was… you needed a moment. A moment to clear your head and think so you wandered down to the emergency department, you let your eyes rake over the space as you took stock of how things were holding up in your absence and while you stood in front of the patient board you jumped when the Head of Trauma, Dr. Fowles approached you.
“What are you doing down here?” he asked, looking at you apologeticly as you placed a hand over your heart.
“Needed a breather,” you said and he laughed.
“So you came to the pit for a little relaxation?” You nodded with a sheepish smile. “Want something to take your mind off it?”
“Please, I’ll take anything,” you said and he led you over to Bay Three and opened the curtain to reveal a beautiful laceration just begging for you to suture it. You introduced yourself as you gloved up and made small talk with her as you worked, taking your time to ensure she had as little scarring as possible.
“One minute you’re making lunch for your boyfriend, who is incredibly ungrateful by the way, and the next you’re in the ER because you zoned out wondering what your old college boyfriend was up to and sliced right through the avocado and into your hand,” she sighed and you chuckled.
“Never go down the college boyfriend rabbit hole, it’s never worth it,” you said. You finally felt like yourself, sure you’d been acting like a doctor nonstop for the past three days but it was all so deeply personal. This was cut and dry, you’d patch her up and send her on her way and likely never see her again. This was medicine without baggage and it felt so good. You hoped Jake was still somewhere on the other side of the hospital, if he saw you right now with that sparkle back in your eye hunched over this patient's open palm it would only make matters worse.
“You got lucky, I’m looking at the tendon here but you didn’t cut through… could be a sign… or a wake up call,” you suggested and she nodded.
“A sign to dump his sorry ass and find someone who will actually drive me to the ER instead of making me get blood all over my brand new car? Yeah, I’m one step ahead of you,” she said and you let out a soft laugh.
“Well, you’re all good. Take the antibiotics, make sure you’re eating things with lots of good bacteria and fully finish the course even if it doesn’t feel like it’s doing anything… and please, don’t let him reel you back in the way they’re always so good at,” you said with a smile as you pulled your gloves off and went to the desk to update her chart.
“You’re a junkie,” Dr. Fowles said and you rolled your eyes at him.
“Takes one to know one,” you said, handing him the chart as your pager beeped and he wished you luck as you ran towards the elevator. You texted Jake to let him know you’d come out with an update once you had one and were on your way to meet them in the OR. Standing in the scrub room and overlooking them prepping Mary through the window you took a deep breath, you knew things would move quickly the second you got her here but it truly felt like one minute you were at the Hard Deck laughing with your friends and the next you’re here… about to step into surgery on one of the most important people in your life.
“I know you can’t tell through my mask, but I’m smiling right now,” you said as you approached her.
“I know, honey,” she replied and the anesthesiologist looked at you to let you know they were ready when you were. “Promise me something,” she said and you just shook your head.
“I’m not making you any promises, Mary, you’re not on your deathbed.”
“Promise me that when I’m out of the woods you are going to put me and John and your parents out of our misery and finally kiss that son of mine,” she said and you let out a shocked laugh.
“You are about to go under for brain surgery and that’s what you’re worried about right now?” you teased.
“You two drive me nuts! Just give me a wedding already.” she said and you shook your head.
“I’ll see what I can do… I’ll see you after, okay?” you said, nodding to the anesthesiologist. “Countdown from ten for me.”
“Ten… nine… give me a wedding… eight… seven-” she slurred as she fell under and you just chuckled to yourself as Dr. Lewis entered the room.
“Alright, Jupiter… I have been patient with you all day as you made me run through my surgical plan a dozen times and all but demanded to be in here, and I was happy to oblige because I like you, however there will not be a peep out of you from here on out, are we understood?” he asked and you nodded.
“Yes, sir. I understand.”
“Good, because I will throw you out so please don’t make me have to.” You watched as he began, your eyes intently flitting between his hands and the monitor that was displaying an aerial view of the surgical field and you felt nausea begin to creep in. You listened as Dr. Fowles narrated everything he was doing to Dr. Stevens, who you wanted to throw a bedpan at when they got eyes on the tumor… really you couldn’t be mad, his reaction was warranted and it was cool, but it would be a hell of a lot cooler if that tumor wasn’t in Jake’s mom’s head. You listened as Dr. Fowles changed his surgical approach, this was always a possibility. The scans give you a lot of information but any plans are just loose ideas until you actually get in there and see what’s going on, and you bit your tongue as you let him make his best judgment call on how to proceed. You were now two hours into the surgery but it felt like no time had passed at all.
“Alright, I think we’re ready to pull this sucker out, Dr. Stevens would you like to man the cautery?” Dr. Fowles asked and your heart stuttered in your chest.
“Absolutely not,” you said before your mind could catch up and tell you to keep your mouth shut.
“Are we forgetting you’re not to speak in this OR?”
“With all due respect sir, as promising as Dr. Stevens is, one wrong move with that cautery and all of this will have been for nothing.” you said and you watched as his hands stilled on the monitor.
“It seems Jupiter doesn’t want you to learn today,” Dr. Fowles said and Dr. Stevens looked between the two of you, clearly stuck between a rock and a hard place.
“If it’s alright with you sir, I’ll just observe. She’s right, I’ve never cauterized before and I still have a lot I want to learn from her… I’d rather not jeopardize that by sending her best friend's mom to the vegetable patch.” he said and you nodded in satisfaction. You would personally see to it that Dr. Stevens scrubbed in with you on every one of your surgeries for the foreseeable future to make up for the learning opportunity you’d just robbed him of. Things seemed to be progressing smoothly until the monitors started beeping frantically and you watched as her BP suddenly tanked and you felt your stomach drop as Dr. Fowles started barking out orders that weren’t quite registering in your ears.
“No… no, no no,” you muttered, a tidal wave of panic crashing over you as you ran out into the hallway and braced yourself on a wall, trying desperately to get your breathing under control. You quickly hunched over a trash can and let the nausea take over, vomiting onto the pile of discarded gloves and trauma gowns as the door opened to reveal a scrub nurse.
“Dr. Fowles is asking you to come back in,” she said and you shook your head, fighting the tears that were threatening to fall. “Come on, just come see,” she said and you placed your mask back over your face as you tentatively followed.
“You missed the good part, Jupiter… the tumor is out.”
“Her vitals?” you asked, taking a small step closer as you looked at the monitors but you didn’t trust your eyes.
“She’s a fighter,” he answered and you sighed in relief. “I’m about to pack with gelfoam but it appears we are out of the woods. Would you like to go update them as I close?” he asked but you were already halfway out the door, ripping off your mask and sprinting down the hallways until you burst into the waiting area. Jake and John jumped up, looking at you expectantly and as they took in your tear streaked face and rapid breathing you watched as their faces fell.
“No! No no no,” you said, taking in a sharp breath. “It’s good, it all went good, they’re closing now, she’ll be in recovery within the half hour,” you said and they both exhaled in relief.
“Oh thank god,” John whispered, pulling you in for a bone crushing hug. “Thank you,” he pulled away to place a kiss on your forehead. “There will never be enough thank you’s for this,” he said as he wiped his own tears. You looked over to Jake who had sunk into one of the chairs with his head hung in his hands and you crouched on the floor in front of him and gently placed a hand on his knee.
“Jake? She’s going to be okay,” you said and he lifted his head to look at you with glassy eyes, “it went as well as we could have hoped. We won’t be certain until she wakes up but I have a very good feeling.”
“J…” he started, but was cut off by his own tears and you pushed him back in his seat to perch on his legs and pull him into your chest.
“I know…” you soothed, rubbing a hand up and down his back. He wrapped his arms around your waist and you just sat there as you held him, whispering reassurances into his ear. You hooked a finger on his chin, softly tilting his head to look up at you before resting your palms on his cheeks. “I’m going to call my parents, let them know… and Rooster too, everyone’s been really worried,” you said and he nodded. You placed a kiss on his forehead as you slid off his lap and you stepped away and pulled out your phone. Your mother had cried, sobbed really, and your dad told you to pass along their well wishes for recovery when he took over the call, you could hear the relief in his voice as he told you how proud he was of you.
“Please tell me she’s okay,” Rooster said as he answered and you let out a breathy laugh.
“She’s good… we’re in the wait and see portion, but I think we’re in the clear. Can you talk with Mav? She’ll be out of here in a few days but this whole thing has him pretty rattled. I know I don’t have the authority but I’m not clearing him for work just yet,” you said and Rooster chuckled.
“Doctor’s orders,” he said and you let out a soft laugh as well. “Mav said to take all the time he needs, there’s no rush to get back.” You thanked him as you hung up, telling him to pass it along to the rest of the Dagger’s as well for how supportive they’ve been throughout. Your pager went off as you approached the two of them and you gave them a reassuring look.
“She’s in post op now, I’m confident everything is fine but I’m going to head up and just be sure, okay?” you said and they nodded as you made your way to the elevator and you all but ran into the room, eyes immediately scanning the brain activity monitor.
“How’s it looking?” you asked a bit frantically.
“Looking good,” Dr. Fowles answered as you grabbed her chart from him to look it over. “You know as well as I do we won’t know for sure until she wakes up but I don’t think we should expect any deficits.” You dropped the chart into its place at the end of her bed and threw your arms around him.
“I know this is unprofessional but just go with it,” you said as you started crying again and he chuckled as he reciprocated and rubbed along your back. “I owe you big time, thank you for everything… I am available for any and every pro-bono surgery you need me for from here on out,” you said.
“I think I’ll hold onto my favor for a little while,” he teased as you pulled away and you laughed as you wiped your cheeks and asked an orderly to grab Jake and John.
“Well, whatever it is it better be big, I owe you a lifetime's worth of thank you’s.” He slipped out of the room and let you know he would check back later and you felt the dark cloud that had been hovering over you the past few days begin to dissipate and with it brought the crushing weight of every feeling you’d been fighting off. You let out a broken sob and immediately turned to leave the room, not noticing Jake walking down the hallway as you hurried the opposite direction and shut yourself into an on-call room. He poked his head into his mom’s room, making sure everything was okay before chasing after you and he found you sitting on the floor with your back against a nightstand and your head between your knees as you tried to regulate your breathing. He was silent as he sat beside you and you lifted your head slightly.
“You don’t need to be here,” you choked out, “I know you’re mad at me, and it’s… I’m okay, really, go sit with your mom.” He didn’t respond, instead he reached around you to grip underneath your arms and pulled you to sit between his legs where he wrapped himself around you and it was the final straw to push you over the edge. You leaned back against him as he held you tight and fell apart in his arms… you’d tried to say something but nothing would come out around your cries, and Jake just let you get it all out.
“I’m not mad at you,” he finally said when your breathing started to even out. “I was but… I was wrong. I didn’t-” he stopped himself for a moment, taking a deep breath as he fought his own tears. “Not once did I stop and consider what this was like for you, I was selfish. You.. I mean, god Jupiter,” he let out a humorless laugh. “You swept in and had this handled in less than three days. I was so wrapped up in what you weren’t doing that I didn’t think about what you were doing, and that was everything… you held it together for all of us, you made sure she would be okay. I’m so sorry.”
“You don’t have to be sorry,” you sniffled.
“Yes, I do. I thought you weren’t there for me, but you were. You always are, even if I don’t see it at first. I’m so sorry that I made this harder on you,” he said, giving you another squeeze and you melted against him. “I was mad at you for who you are, and that’s… I say how proud I am of the doctor you’ve become and in the moment that you were doing everything you could to help my mom I was an absolute asshole.”
“You weren’t an asshole… I treated you like a patient’s family, and you reacted the way family does.”
“That doesn’t make it okay,” he muttered, pressing a kiss to your temple. “I’m so sorry.”
“It’s okay,” you said softly. “Do you want to go check on your mom?” you asked and he shook his head.
“No. I want to just sit here with you for a little while if that’s okay,” he replied and you nodded, letting your head fall against his arm.
“Yeah, that’s okay.”

week of november 12th, 2023
these are written predominantly for the *rising* signs but they are also intuitively "channeled" enough that they should work for any dominant energy you have! (try your sun if you don't know rising, or more advanced readers can try moon, anywhere you have a stellium, etc and see what works best for you!)
aries: strong mars and scorpio at present give you a power it is so easy to tap into that it's sometimes also easy to not even notice it's there, or that you have been using it. take it easy on people who are struggling a little more than you these days and if you feel like you're struggling too, put a little extra effort into thinking of all the things that are easy - even if you have to start with stuff like "breathing" or "heart beating"
taurus: the week begins with a new moon in your house of committed partnerships, which also rules over your open enemies. set intentions around where your energy is focused. do those enemies deserve your time and attention? or would you rather direct it at love or at responsibility? maybe you can find a good way to split it, but remember it's not an infinite resource.
gemini: expect (or be the cause of!) productive, candid discussions in relationships or with other types of partners. don't leave things unsaid. even painful outcomes will be for the best this way.
cancerians: your homework, your actual spiritual duty, this week, is to get out there and have fun, whatever that means for you. actually you can stay in and have fun too if you prefer that, but you'd better be enjoying the time. even if a background sadness or frustration tugs at you as you go, find pleasure in as many moments as you can.
leo: big stubborn vibes all week chafe at you. but you're stubborn too, you know? so lighten up and loosen up and let things move around a bit. you will probably like them better wherever they settle than in whatever position you're currently forcefully holding them.
virgo: yet again your commitments, especially in terms of relationships, are called into focus. the astrology is supportive, so if things are good they get better. if things are not good, they feel better for now, but problems are likely to fester, so find them and fix them, and dispose of what you know you can't keep.
libra: in general you're a very relationship-oriented sign but it pays this week, literally, to focus more on your money and resources. all kinds of resources, not just financial ones. likely all of it leads you to much greater prosperity.
scorpio: the new moon in your sign is a great time for self-improvement endeavors, glowups, and anything that puts you in the spotlight of some important attention. set your intentions accordingly.
sagittarius: this week's vibe is both stubborn and shifting. know which way to lean in each given situation rather than choosing a side and sticking to it. authenticity is the best policy, which involves most likely a straightforward yet compassionate honesty.
capricorn: by and large if you get the urge to socialize a bit this week, you should act on it! but be advised that the astrology all week is a bit volatile, so you should proceed with caution out there. still, caution doesn't mean stifling the divine spark of will within you.
aquarius: strong uranian activity does suit you and yet the chaos at play at this time can be unpleasantly shocking or even dangerous. this can range from surprises in the personal life to literally electrical dangers; take care to be safe.
pisces: benevolent neptune aspects abound but they occur alongside volatility to a high degree. focus on what you are making, not what you have. but don't necessarily make yourself too vulnerable to any pitfalls either.
