listen folks, i am the first one to say that mister hoyoverse is a greedy little shit BUT!

i've seen people complain about the fact that hsr has the free 10 pulls per update while genshin does not. ...buckaroo, honeypot. they give the 10 pulls via screen simply because you CANNOT farm the same kind of currency in honkai star rail as you can in genshin impact.

GI is a open world exploration game, it focuses on you exploring the world and it shows with the rewards you get by doing it. Chests are everywhere, waypoints gives you currency, unlocking the map gives you currency. And genshin with all new updates and banner cycles usually adds a new part of the map to explore! THOSE are your pulls.

Meanwhile honkai star rail is a different kind of soup, it's a turn based rpg and the map also reflects it by being linear like classing rps and having chests distribution that's very similar to the one you could find in, say, ffx. You simply CANNOT get the same amount of currency via exploration as you can in genshin. So you end up getting most of the currency from world quests, story quests and, yes! The login bonus!

would you look at that, the free pulls are 75! Basically the same!

My point being that hoyoverse isn't being more generous with the hsr players, it just got smarter at bamboozling their playerbase into thinking it. (Though, the quality of life hsr has... wish it in all your games mister hoyoverse please)

Remember the company like every other company is stingy and wants your money and they have the same blueprint with most of the things they do.

My profile picture is from the 1.5 Nameless Medal reward, "Yanqing: Odyssey" in-game profile picture. The username is a reference to the character Campanella from Night on the Galactic Railroad, and La Campanella by Liszt., which you can listen to here.

A side-blog for Honkai: Star Rail. My UID is not up for sharing, mostly because my Yanqing is pitiful and nobody borrows him. (I'm still grinding for better relics and nothing is rolling crit.)

I downloaded Honkai: Star Rail because I've been playing Genshin Impact since the first Lantern Rite (or launch if you want to argue technicalities) and kept playing this game since I was enamored with the space-fantasy elements. The feeling I get from playing and hanging around the Astral Express reminds me of Kenji Miyazawa's Night On The Galactic Railroad, which is a story I'm very fond of.

Futilely trying to learn more about the game's lore. Unfortunately, I'm not particularly invested in most of the characters or going through the in-game readables, but the worldbuilding is interesting enough.

I might write fanfic or draw fanart about whatever catches my interest, who knows. It might be NSFW. Ideally I'll keep in mind to tag for that sort of thing, but I'm not perfect and it might slip my mind. This is your warning.

Fun facts (STC)!

Trailblaze level 70. Played since launch, got bored and skipped out on most of 1.3 and all of 1.4 (not that I missed anything important), and crawled back in 1.5...

Trailblazer: Stelle. I don't care about Caelus.

Favorite character: Yanqing. Runner up: Acheron.

I like reading about lore (sci-fi fantasy worldbuilding goes hard) and, against my will, character meta/theorycrafting.

With a couple of exceptions, I see everyone as bisexual. Do not separate BronSeele.

I'm not picky with ships, but I can't bring myself to say I actively enjoy some of the more popular ones... ships like RenHeng, KafHime, (and to an extent) SamPard, and RatioRine don't hold much weight, the way I see it. That can change in a distant future.

Please don't expect much. I regularly fall off the plane of existence to a vanishing point in the horizon, and I don't know when I'll be back when that happens.

Travelers, below you will find additional information about the Serenitea Pot system.

◆ Realm Currency

In realms, you will collect a kind of currency called Realm Currency. You can use Realm Currency to exchange for different items from the teapot spirit.

Talk to the teapot spirit and open the Jar of Riches. Realm Currency that you collect will be stored in the Jar of Riches.

The Jar of Riches has a maximum storage limit. Don't forget to take out some Realm Currency from time to time~

◆ Realm Depot

Talk to the teapot spirit and open the Realm Depot.

In the Realm Depot, you can use Realm Currency to exchange for rare realm items, furnishings, and furnishing blueprints. As your Trust Rank increases, you can exchange for even more Realm Treasures.

◆ Adeptal Energy

As you place various furnishings, the Adeptal Energy in the realm will gradually increase. After you increase the Adeptal Energy Rank and Trust Rank, you will be able to collect Realm Currency faster and store more in the Jar of Riches.
