Gen V Episode 4
Was it just me or was Gen V episode 4 too damn short? It just ended abruptly. What are your theories?
My theory and review (spoilers)
At the end I think a psychic supe made them forget everything that happened and they're slowly going to put the pieces together. Because Jordan and Marie in bed together at the end I am going to assume Jordan might be in on it. I mean, I don't think they mean to do any harm but probably thinks it's the only way to protect Marie and their friends. I am going to assume the doctor had the power to do this. In a way I want Jordan to be part of it because villain x hero ships are my thing.
Not gonna lie Sam is scary but at the same time I feel bad for him. He's like the Hulk but doesn't transform. At first I was into Emma and Sam but now I'm not so sure. I know it's not Sam's fault but still he's dangerous.
That guy fucking every hole was hilarious! I almost spit out my drink! I tried to Google if anything like that does happen to people but nothing came up. I've read some tumors in the brain can cause people to do or day weird things but never heard of something like that. To be honest he reminded me of a super Sherlock Holmes. The Dean handled herself pretty well. She actually reminds me of Stillwell in a way. Human but brutal.
Don't think I can look at Jack the same way ever again after seeing Alexander Calvert's dick. But anyway go Marie for defending herself from a rapist.
I'm glad Andre is standing up for what is right. Sadly if the ending went the way I think it did he's going to forget his bravery. Not sure how I feel about Cate in this episode. I feel like she was just there to tell Andre he was a idiot for not listening to her. If the doctor wasn't the one responsible for the ending I'm going to assume it was Cate. Maybe she has a bigger power we don't know about.
But overall episode 4 wasn't as fun as the first 3 but I'm blaming the episode being too short and every romantic relationships developing way too fast.

Pokémon Personality Profiles: #625 Bisharp
Tumblr media
After evolving from Pawniard, Bisharp retain their impressive intelligence and battling skill. Just like their pre-evolution, they meticulously maintain their blades and body armor to keep in perfect condition.
However, Bisharp are calmer, stoic creatures that don’t often show emotion. They are also incredibly violent, battle-hungry, power-hungry, and use any underhanded tactic they can think of to win a battle. Their favorite strategy in the wild is to use the groups of Pawniard they command to fight first. Bisharp cut their defeated opponents in half at the waist, then continue reducing them to smaller portions for eating. On occasion, this may be a human who came too close to a hungry Bisharp, which could get it used to seeking even more humans as prey.
If a Bisharp hasn’t been raised by a Trainer for at least some amount of time while it was still a Pawniard, it should only be caught by one who is well-experienced. Trying to tame a Bisharp is no easy task, unless it can be given a Chople Berry that it will gladly keep to reduce damage from a Fighting type move when needed.
Generally, wild Bisharp do not tolerate one another’s presence except in their spring breeding season, so they frequently battle one another for control of Pawniard groups and to merge others into their own. Usually, the losing Bisharp will be driven off and forced to seek another group; or into retirement never to be seen again if its head blade gets chipped, which is seen as dishonorable and causes a Bisharp to become depressed. In some cases, the winning Bisharp may consume the loser instead, and keep a piece of its head blade as a symbolic Leader’s Crest. However, this show of power backfires on many individuals, because Bisharp who have managed to defeat 3 others each holding a Leader’s Crest will be able to evolve into Kingambit and form their own empires with hundreds of other Pawniard and Bisharp.

(Season 1)
Jaz Sinclair: Marie Moreau
Miatta Lebile: Jackie Moreau
Maria Nash: Annabeth Moreau
Jaeda Leblanc: Young Marie Moreau
Saida Ali: Party Planner Janet
Mikalah Reid-Beckette: Stretchy Freshman
Because there’s no super important Black female characters on The Boys, y’all probably didn’t know that I watch it. But, this spin off has a main and I truly adore her and wish for her absolute best.

In the Generation V games, Diamond, Pearl, Platinum, Heart Gold, and Soul Silver, there is a glitch that rarely affects the ability Cute Charm. When the Pokemon with Cute Charm is in the first slot of your party and you encounter a wild Pokemon using this glitch, any Pokemon that appears has a much, much higher chance than usual of being a shiny. This only affects Pokemon that aren’t only a single gender or genderless, but does affect stationary encounters, like Drifloon.

sorry for pokémon black and white posting again but i just did some math to find out when bw remakes will most likely come out. under the cut, in case you're not interested
to figure this out, we need to take into consideration:
how often new remakes are released
how often new generations are released
how long it takes after a new, applicable generation to have a remake release
first let's start with the new remakes.
there are 4 remakes of older pokémon games up to diamond and pearl. here's a table on the generations they were released in:
Tumblr media
there's a 2 generation gap between all of them except for frlg and hgss. although, this is understandable as generation 2 would be a bit too early for remakes of the generation 1 games! with this, we can conclude that the bw remakes will be generation 10 games.
~
now to figure out how often new generations are released.
yet another table, this time of the release of every new game pair that started a new generation in japan (because until the games started being released at the same time in all regions starting with xy, japan got the games first)
Tumblr media
as you can see, with the exception of a (rounded up) 4 year gap with rs-dp and dp-bw, there is a (rounded up) 3 year gap between each new generation. since generation 9 began in 2022, we can expect generation 10 in 2025.
yeah. 2 years.
~
it gets worse from here when we look at how long it takes for the remakes to get released after the main games that start the generation come out...
Tumblr media
oh god
this is hard to figure out because the dates vary so wildly, but... it's likely to come out 2027...

Pokémon Personality Profiles: #624 Pawniard
Tumblr media
Pawniard are cute and often cheerful creatures, highly intelligent and always seeking to train themselves to become stronger through Pokémon battles, so it’s no wonder that some Pokémon Trainers find them desirable. In addition, Pawniard are incredibly fastidious about the condition of the blades covering their bodies, and sharpen all of them at least once daily to prepare for their next battle, as well as prevent potentially fatal rust or cracking.
However, with this upkeep of their blades comes a darker side. Pawniard are also highly aggressive, as they jump onto and sink themselves into much larger opponents, then clang their blades together in victory. They have been known to kill humans by stabbing them repeatedly in the torso and slitting their throats after they fall to the ground. Once a human has been taken down by a Pawniard, the highly opportunistic creature finds them delicious. Pawniard are thus difficult for Trainers to tame, and can be a serious legal liability. The best way to tame a Pawniard or at least bond with it as an individual human is to offer it plenty of food rewards (ideally not human meat) and carefully socialize it, although Pawniard that are encouraged to attack other humans will do so.
In the wild, Pawniard live together in groups that are led by a single Bisharp, but the group’s members are not close. While Pawniard perfectly follow the Bisharp's orders in battles, they only do so for their own benefit, as they are able to easily capture prey as well as continue training. If the Bisharp is defeated by another in battle, the Pawniard have no problem allowing it to be driven off or even eaten by the winner. Once a Pawniard is ready to evolve, which cannot always be predicted, it will challenge the currently leading Bisharp itself and the cycle repeats.

Gen V (prod. Craig Rosenberg).
Amazon's college-centric The Boys spin-off does a fine job of paralleling the same satirically violent streak of gruesomely subversive superhero depravity transplanted to the sex and party-fuelled environment of a university campus. It's an altogether fun extension of this surreal vision of a twisted comic book television universe, with its queer satire firmly planted in debaucherous behaviour on the part of its complex characters, not totally unlike something like Riverdale. Gen V impresses through its tonal consistency while fitting nicely in an established existing world.

I'd really love to see N being introduced to the music of David Bowie at some point between BW and BW2. Bowie's music is all about struggling to accept one's humanity, yet still learning, step by clumsy step, how to enjoy it. And I figure it may be a way for N to learn to reconcile himself to his humanity, to slowly learn to take pleasure in it—for while there's a piece of him that will always feel estranged from it, he might be granted the peace to be able to explore that estrangement, and to find little gorgeous flecks of silver in the grey areas.

Rant #1 A New Beginning
Trying something new... or old. Hey there tumblr, been a while.
Just getting some thoughts out there and in to the Universe really.
Been watching Generation V all evening and wow... I mean this is actually more savage than The Boys and I love it. I think it's the thing I love the most about streaming is that stuff like this can be made. Literally 3 episodes in and I'm not sure I can count all the issues it's (I don't want to say tackling because it's still early days but) addressing.
It does mean I am already behind on my Not-So-Scary Halloween watching but I'm kind of ok with that.
