So, I wasn't planning any of this, but while working on all the scenes of them fighting I needed something cute and I FINALLY TOOK THE LEAP AND DID SOMETHING IN MY OHUHU SKETCHBOOK!!! It only took me a year!

Gah, I was so scared to draw something in it, and I honestly didn't know which subject to take. But hey, I guess this was the most obvious choice 🙃? Drawing on A4 is so frightening too after working on A5 for so long, I guess that's why there are 2 smaller drawings on this page 😂 (I'm not really proud of the line art quality either, it's more 'stylised' and I can't handle that yet... but I love them so I cannot help myself)

Have some arc 5 Miko and Hux! There are few things you might notice that are wrong at first sight, but they are on purpose! All part of the storyline 🙄😏 I adore these 2 (3) idiots.

I don't like Miko's face in the first one, drawing a big goofy grin is apparently not as easy as I thought it would be, mweh 😑 I am also very excited because most of the alcohol markers I have used are from the Ohuhu pastel set I got for my birthday and I LOVE them! They're not really pastels, but they bring so much more vibrancy into my regular pallet I was obsessed with finishing these 2 drawings! (Everyone who knows something about coloring is probably thinking "WHAT? There's 80% grey on this!" 😂 But the greys were a challenge too! )

I am not a regular user of my Ohuhu's, so I added a page with some experiments I did with different materials. It's probably basic knowledge for someone who already uses the markers for a while, but maybe it's useful for someone?

Woops, I accidentally colored this sketch! It wasn't even one of my greatest (failed on the arm foreshortening), but I just opened it to check it out and then started some experimenting with different color techniques and suddenly this happened 🤷‍♀️

This one's for @mylifeisactuallyamess , you know why 🤓 She and @a-bang-for-your-bucky started a thread about donkies and Din Djarin and Armitage and then she sparked an unstoppable need to draw Hux in coveralls in me 😵☺

The colors are a bit more muted than usual, and I didn't add as much contrasts, but I still kind of like it?

Chapter 2 - escape from Steadfast

Hi all! Finally, I'm able to publish chapter 2. Real life messed with my timings... and I fear that next release will take more than 2 weeks as well since I have some nice commissions to work on.

With this drawing I stretched my skills... I am not really good at perspective, and their pose was killing me! I had to redo a lot of lines again and again, but I absolutely wanted to get this right because I love this stupid scene so much it's embarrassing.

I did get lazy with the troopers, but they're not the centre of attention and I actually should try to find some more loose style to be able to draw the viewer's attention to the actual subject 🤔

This time, the full drawing is under the break, as some details, lines only, sketch, etc!

There's also some low quality but cute sketch because I'm self-indulgent when it comes to them.

(Just putting this in a separate post not to hijack your original post, bc LOTS of words approaching. Also it's 2AM here, I don't know what I'm doing 💁‍♀️)

I hope you're having a better day! Kids can be really cruel sometimes, honestly it's the one thing that made me choose another career. I have so much respect for teachers who are doing their best to educate kids, putting all their effort in their lectures and trying to make these kids into better humans. I'm 200% sure you're one of them!

In a lot of places, teachers like you are extremely underappreciated, while you are forming the very future. It's really discouraging sometimes, especially when you have some rotten apples in the group. 

Not to put any more pressure on your shoulders 😆 but I do mean it. My mother is a teacher too and her story is VERY similar. 10000000000000000000000000000000x respect.

So I was going to draw a soft Hux sketch for you because I'm no good with words. But while sketching, and sitting in front of our cosy fireplace, I came up with a fluffy scene accompanying the drawing...

And then this blurb happened 🤓 

(So @everyone, in advance, sorry for the weird English, it's not my native language and I sometimes just literally translate sentences from my native language,  without knowing they don't make sense at all 😅 Feel free to let me know. Although I don't aspire to be a writer I do like to learn stuff 🙃)

(Also the sketch is more realistic than my usual style - I don’t really know what it's supposed to be - and there are mistakes all over the place, but it was nice to try something new 🥰 it's under the break!)

It's GN, just fluff, reader in established relationship with the one and only general ginger 😏😏😏 it's nothing special really,  but I hope it's comforting?

The General isn't a man to show compassion, or, for that matter, emotions of any kind. But you know he is very perceptive of his surroundings.  You remind yourself of that, when you get the note on your datapad. 

 'Care for tea?', it reads. As short and efficient as ever, but warm and inviting. There's no trace of pressure, and there's an extra underlying message only you fully grasp. He wants to make time for you. For the both of you. 

Your shift had just ended and you were on your way to the mess, but you abruptly changed course, while sending out an affirmative reply. You weren't planning to meet up with someone anyway.  You were too worked up and worn out for that. You couldn't imagine the last time a shift had put so much pressure on you.

When you pressed the entrance button of his quarters, announcing your arrival, the door opened almost instantly. He's standing right in front of you, trying to act relaxed and casual, but you know him better than that. He was waiting for you at the entrance. And while his uniform dress shirt was open, the collar hanging loose on his neck and his shirt showing, you could hear him fiddle with his fingers. The leather of his gloves was making these little rasping sounds. A sound you recognized all too well. You could easily distinguish it, even from the other side of the bridge. Usually it meant he was bothered by something, but now it was just the usual nerves. They would disappear soon.

He surprised you with a warm smile, and the sight made all the built up tension from the shift flee from your sore muscles. The way his lips curled, how his cheeks looked just a bit fuller and the way his eyes lost their cold stare and turned into an almost loving gaze, made you forget about anything else. The only thing you could think right now, was that you were the only one who ever saw him genuinely smile. It took ages for him to open up and be sincere to you, but it was absolutely worth it.

He stepped aside, making room for you to enter his private living space. The smell of tea invited you over to the blue sofa and the ginger cat snoozing on the cushions. You took a seat, and Millicent sleepily crawled over, onto your lap. Hux approached, giving you your cup and taking his own in his right hand. Tarine tea in his, and your favorite flavor in yours. You stopped petting Millie and grabbed the warm cup with both hands, enjoying how the temperature made your knuckles loosen up. 

He sat down on the other side of the bench, as by habit trying to keep anyone out of his personal space. You knew better though, and bent over to his side, planting your head under his chin and wiggling it to find the right spot. Just like the cat did a few minutes ago. You could hear a soft chuckle escaping his mouth, and you were sure he was thinking the same.  

Moments like these made you realize how good you knew each other. The way he always had to adapt to physical contact, especially after a stressful shift. The little signs of emotion no one else could see. So many invisible signals you could catch with ease. 

Your ear was pressed against his chest, and you listened to his steady heartbeat. The mug was still in your hands. You took in the soothing smell and you realized he was even better at catching signals than you were. 

You sipped your tea and smiled. Both of you haven’t spoken a word since you got in, but there was no reason to. He understood what you needed. This comfortable silence, the beating of his heart and the spinning cat on your lap were everything you wanted right now.

He put down his cup, making you shift your position. When he leaned back, you found your place back on his chest. He wrapped his arm around you this time, though, returning the affection with a soft hug.  After a moment, you could feel his hand loosen its grip on your upper arm. He brought his other hand closer to pull out his gloves, giving you the silent signal that he was fully adjusted to your closeness. He lifted his now bare hand and placed it on your scalp, slowly massaging your head with his lean fingers. You could feel hair strands loosening and with it, the last of your stress disappearing and your eyes slowly closing. You were only slightly aware of him taking the almost empty cup from your hands, before falling into slumber.

I have gigantic amounts of headcanons about Hux, but this is one of my favourites! 🥺🥺🥺 For the ones interested in poor little Armitage's backstory (incl my flavor 🤭)... he never knew his real mother and has been treated like a bastard rat, before someone actually saw potential in him. (That being (grand) admiral Sloane, probably the only mother figure he ever had, I also need to draw her!) He desperately tries to fit in that first order harness even though it's not really his nature...and well, I guess there'll be a moment when it all becomes too much. Imagine him, having a existential crisis and going back to Arkanis, looking for answers to questions he doesn't even know. Somehow trying to capture the what-could-have-been. Getting frustrated during the process, a nagging feeling in the back of his mind that he is only getting himself into an even worse state of mind, whether he'd find her or not. And when he's on the brim of giving up, he bumps right into her, somehow knowing it's her even when he's been off planet since he was five. And yes, there's no good weather on Arkanis. Also there's random dramatic lighting. I tried to give him a slightly disheveled look, his uniform is not entirely straight and his shoulders are slacking and hair strands getting a bit loose from the weather. The way I like him 😆

(No one's surprised this one has a spot in my own OCxHux story arc, in the 5th part... in which certain life changing events trigger him to go look for her)

Drawing-wise I don't know what I did... a little bit of sketching, painting, putting some lines on it the messy way... But I somehow like it? I have no style consistency!

yeah... I had this too overly sugar-coated fluffy scene in my mind for so long now, and these dark but festive days are the exact excuse to finally paint it out!

I actually had this one planned for the 25th, but alas, we got a visit from the little nasty virus. But despite of that (and when I wasn’t able to physically do anything - thanks to it - ahum - don’t wish for it though) I was still able to finish it a few days ago.

I waited to upload it because I just can’t get the colors right! I mean, if I see it on my screen, it’s okay, but it’s just not popping out. But when I start calibrating and tweaking it just loses detail? Aaaah! I struggle with that a lot, I’m not able to find the right balance yet. I did learn a lot painting/drawing this one! I loved the light sources and how they would interact with everything!  The pose was a challenge too, but although the line art itself is definitely not my best, and there are still anatomy issues, I do like how they fit together? I think? Like, touching noses, giving a peck on the forehead, maybe something more? Wholesome fluff?

The drawing is supposed to represent Brendol’s study room in a slightly abandoned Hux estate on Arkanis. Both arrive looking for answers, and while it’s too painful for Armitage (he doesn’t even want to enter the room first), Miko is able to convince him to stay by just messing up the whole place, Miko style. She rearranges it from the stoic study into a cozy spot by the fireplace (it’s abandoned; no other heating), turns the huge portrait featuring bad family memories around and somehow suspiciously had smuggled good comfort food into the estate. Everything Hux would hate at first thought, but somewhere along the way, she got through to that thick emotionally constipated skull of him, and he might actually silently appreciate it?

They spend the evening researching, talking about how to find his mother, what to do with the place, and so on. About closing chapters and opening new ones. And maybe, just maybe, hope for a brighter future.

So... happy life day (or christmas if you like :-) ) and new year! I hope next year brings us happy and healthy times, may we live for our dreams and enjoy our time together!

(oh, the saber is a easter egg (woops, wrong celebration), a reference to the alternative scenario for TROS 😏 I think it would be great if there are some war treasures hidden in that estate. Evil daddy probably had some crazy stuff to gloat with to the other empire officials.)

I honestly have the whole Arkanis part written down, but more than a year ago, so I should review it before publishing any of it, but there’s too much ‘vid in my brain now to function well 🙃 so maaaybe, if I’m not too ashamed of what I made up for this one, I might reblog it with text. Who knows. One day.

Woops, I accidentally colored some more sketches!

I wasn't planning on publishing these, since they have multiple anatomy mistakes in them (these were sketches done in-between, not focusing on how to *actually draw correct* so yeah... they were meant just for my own fun 🙄😏)

I was going through my sketch folders and suddenly found the urge to experiment a bit with the color process. I wanted to do more muted colors, a more paint-ish style on a sketch and one with more explicit backlight.

And then this happened and I love them too much to keep them locked away in my folder 😭🥰💁‍♀️ (zoom, originals and some more sketches under the break)

Every now and then I make some low quality trash, but I swear I'm going to alternate with some serious stuff 😂 So I have this whole 6 arc long fan story in my head, full of star wars action, intrigue, politics, history, mystery, and ofc a good dose of smut and fluff (who would've guessed that eh?)... but somehow I end up drawing a stupid story about a cat 🤔🙄😆 But anyway... who doesn't like cats? And Millicent just needs to be in any fanon so... I gave her some backstory in mine 😏 The sketches were done months ago in my bigger sketch book, and during meetings, so no reference was used and I'm aware there are a lot of errors: anatomical mistakes, drawing perspective without a ruler (and without much thinking) and no consistency on for example the table, but I couldn't not color them 😁

"what happens in the unknown regions, stays in the unknown regions"

One of my headcanons is that little Armie is spending his pre-teen time with some of the greatest minds, including mastermind Grand Admiral Thrawn. He was one of the only kids on board and he was educated enough to interest some of them. He often proved a welcome distraction in between meetings. I imagine them playing some Dejarik/Shah-Tezh/Moebius/Chess with some recovered pieces from the late emperor boards 😁

Thrawn is one of my favourite legends characters and villains; the original Thrawn trilogy is still standing on my book shelve. Him being part of the new timeline made me extremely happy! I've been wondering what happens with him after the events in Rebels, and I was hoping to see him in the Mandalorian already when the scene in the Empire secret facility came out. With Sloane and both Huxes joining the remainder of the Empire's fleet in the unknown regions, it's only a matter of time they meet. (What happens with Ezra I'm not really sure though 🤷‍♀️)

I had many struggles with this drawing. I really wanted to do this low perspective (I am pretty inexperienced when it comes to decent perspective lol) to show how Armitage is experiencing this. Making Thrawn even bigger, making Armie look up to him. I also had these specific poses in mind. So looking for any reference was a complete failure. Next time my family is going to pose for my stupid ideas 😆

I know it's not perfect, Thrawn's head is still too big and it looks like he's sitting on a cushion. Hux pose is also a bit off. But this has been on my WIP list for months I decided to finally finish it and get over with it 🙄

EDIT: I forgot to add the alternate version with Thrawn without irises 😩 oh well...

This is the first time I made a sketch of my sergeant! He's half Kiffar but he doesn't know it. Imagine when he finds out he's a near-human in the FO 😥😳

For some reason my pencil insert is harder than normal, I don't know why, someone must've switched the inserts during production 😶

What do you like the most? Rendered or cell shaded? This drawing is cursed because I've been working on it for months and I'm still not satisfied. But I guess if I don't publish it now, I'll never will. I'm not content with their facial features, I feel like they don't look how they supposed to. But I usually don't draw lines this fine, I guess I should practice some more if I want to keep up with this style. Still doubting and experimenting. Because I'm indecisive and inconsistent 🤓   So here we go... my headcanon ship nobody asked for but I'll keep drawing anyway 🙄  I have this ying yang thing going on in my head, representing the lighter side or darker side in both characters. They are most of the time each other's opposites, but somehow they end up keeping themselves in balance. Eventually. After various fights, explosions and awkward situations 🤐 Don't worry, I'm not going to totally redeem Hux, just a little bit 😸 it's more like Miko halting him when he wants to set a planet on fire or something 🙄 if you know Hux canon background, you know the origin of his ambitions, frustrations and mental issues. And he's not going to let anyone know about it unless he gets stuck in an unforeseen situation with a rather naive apparently harmless girl who somehow accidentally stirs up things. Coloring some older sketches in between other WIP's 🤓 Bad mouthed planetary brat vs. conceited fascist rat? Perfect combination! (At least, perfect fanfic material that is 😅 if I'm serious, I despise everything Hux stands for. But I'm not serious. Naaaaaaah 😆 ) Actually in this scene, a lot more has happened. Things like fleeing from bounty hunters, getting stuck in space, almost getting delivered to the enemy (which side that might be...), finding out stuff about themselves, ... Actually the reason Hux is (again) annoyed and stressed is all because he's starting to realize some things about his life and he's definitely not okay with it. Miko being the first victim (or the cause... depends on the point of view...) doesn't really help much. Or does it? Also, smoking is bad for your health! Even in the Star Wars universe! It's the reason of their fight too, although underneath, the unspoken words are much more important... (I also have an issue drawing people looking down... and since the general is quite tall and Miko is short...
