Also does anyone actually remember this show? It feels like one of those obscure things I watched years ago and have not once heard another person mention

Am I the only one who just gets excited when someone uses they/them pronouns for me? I go by she/they pronouns and it’s typical for people to use she/her pronouns with me, which I’m fine with. But my queer friends use they/them pronouns when referring to me and when I see them use those for me, I get all happy and bouncy. I can’t explain it. 😂

Genders, How Do They Work

Why does this headline fr go weirdly kinda hard?(For context, I originally found about this even though it's atleast somewhat old and really nobody cares at this point I don't think??when I randomly remembered the fever-dream like existence of that one cartoon about a regular boy who has a feminine-presenting Superhero persona that aired on the Hub Network when that was still around so I went looking for it on Pinterest and found a random image of the protagonist with a link to a news article basically reading as this)The hashtag LGBTQIA+ specifically trans and gendernonconformist agenda is spreading:

If labels don't matter, and you "can't change the facts" then why is it so hard for you to just let people be who they want to be and respect them?
You want to hurt them. You want to rub their face in the dirt while you prove how right you are. You want them to feel humiliated and helpless.
Don't you pretend you're anything good. Don't pretend like you care about people or children and making the world a better place. You are just an insecure child, looking for someone easy to hurt, someone you can make cry, just so you don't feel small.
If labels really don't matter to you, why do you have to go and try to tear down what makes people happy?

Can we all agree on how great gender euphoria is?
I’m gender fluid and my gender changes quite often so some days I will be in a masc getup and I’ll leave the house and feel really good about it— and then almost immediately get dysphoria and vice versa when I present fem so I really try to dress androgynous to just mediate all of the differences that way I don’t feel The Big discomfort™️ when I’m on either end of the gender spectrum. But! Sometimes! it just feels really ~amazing~ and I’m just very happy in my little gender neutral clothes and I feel so good! Like, haha u cannot see my gender! Because I do not have one (right now)!! *little dance*
Gender euphoria is the best

When I think of the gender spectrum I think of millions and trillions of uneven, blurry venn diagrams all overlapping eachother. Stretching out into infinity because thats what a spectrum is, an infinite amount of space with no set limit. Thats why trying to present the gender spectrum as a linear or tidy venn diagrams isn't rlly accurate in my opinion, because it usually excludes and limits sooo many other wonderful experiences out there.
The gender spectrum isn't neat and tidy but a big chaotic fire pit

the words "sister" and "mother" don't really have gender concepts attached to them for me. like, they don't inherently prod forth "femininity" when i use them as labels for myself???? i'm just a sister, i'll be your mother. i'm still trying to suss out where i land on this whole spectrum thing; don't mind me as i try to articulate.

When I read feminist philosophy, I encountered a suggestion to look at human sex as a spectrum, with certain characteristics generally appearing together placing you closer to one end or another. Some of them encourage each other biologically, some socially/culturally. So for instance, higher levels of estrogen might encourage bigger breasts, thus they generally cluster, also with having a uterus and less facial hair, and identifying as a woman. Having many of the male cluster characteristics would put you further to the male end of the spectrum. This stayed with me. What I found appealing about this is that it doesn't put intersex people in a third, outsider category, nor separates male and female into fundamentally different opposites, it's just a bit more of this or a bit more of that. The other thing is that it recognizes sex changes, because you can acquire many of the cluster characteristics, for instance through hrt.
I'm not sure if I'm doing it justice here, but I am curious about what other people think??
yes that is very correct (at least as far as i'm aware)! and the idea of sex as a spectrum that all of us fall somewhere on is the crux of a lot of intersex activism. it shows that we're unfairly singled out and socially marked as wrong, mutated freaks of nature. when, in reality, we're just as natural as everyone else. we just have a different configuration that causes our sex traits to display themselves differently than others, or for our bodies to function differently.
it's the same core idea as in gender as a spectrum - even two non-queer women of similar status in society will have different experiences of their gender, similarly to how their bodies wouldn't work exactly the same in regards to hormones, reproductive ability, etc.

Hey i found this gender/sexuality chart! i feel like i should share it in case it helps someone out.
As someone who is nuerodivergent, gender and sexuality or attraction has been super confusing for me to understand and stuff like this can make it feel a little less complicated.
Here’s a blank version and also where i would describe myself falling:

Tmiagender Pride Flag
Tumblr media
Tmia (tmiaspec/tmiaty/transmiaty or transmiaspec/transmia) or tmiagender spectrum (transmiagender/miatrans/miatransgender): umbrella term for anyone on the "trans male" side of the viabinary-to-aptobinary spectrum.
This is similar to transvir (transgendervir), tmaingender (TMAIN)/transmaingender (TransMAIN), and tmingender (TMIN), but using miaspec/miagender/miaty/mia in place of gendervir or mingender (MIN). However, this flag includes anyone who fits both spectrums: trans* (tiaspec) and man/male/boy/guy (miaspec), regardless of birth assignment (assigned gender/sex).
