Summary: the best album they ever made. Perfect for their moment, perfect for their plans, perfect for them. If things weren’t like… falling apart behind the scenes and they picked better singles, this should've been their grammy moment. Grrr.

Can we get a Mitch x reader hc or imagine (whatever is easier) where the reader and Marlon are super close (Marlon even has a little crush on them) and Mitch, their boyfriend, gets super jealous. Maybe this escalates into a physical fight between the guys.

been a busy few days, sorry about the small break. i blame it all on trying to find an actually good gender-neutral way of saying boyfriend/girlfriend, still not happy, lover just sounds so weird and partner sounds so unnatural but i had to choose gdi

Marlon stood with his chest pressed against your back whilst his hands adjusted your grip on the bow. You considered the act innocent, Marlon was your best friend excluding your boyfriend, he just wanted to ensure that you knew how to properly use a ranged weapon. However, Mitch was fuming, his nails would dig further into his palm whenever Marlon touched your hands, whenever he held onto your shoulders to “steady you”, why the hell wasn’t he moving away from you?

Mitch wasn’t usually one to bite his tongue but Marlon was your friend, Marlon was his friend, he wouldn’t seriously pursue you when he was very much aware of yours and his relationship, right?

“Great job.” Marlon stepped back and placed his hands on his hips, “You’re already an amazing shot, could even say you’re a natural.” He looked towards the target, openly impressed that each arrow had hit it.

“Well, you’re a great teacher.” You turned to face him and smiled, “But I wouldn’t trust me out in the field with it just yet, I don’t think anyone fancies an arrow in their back.” You held out the bow for him to take, he chuckled and removed it from your hold, his little finger “accidentally” rubbed against your thumb.

The hunting party returned around that time, Rosie came running up to you two happily and you excitedly called out her name. Rosie was a strong dog, she unintentionally pushed you over with ease.

“Hey! Down, girl.” He whistled and sent Rosie away then he held a hand out to you.

“I forget how strong she is sometimes.” You laughed sheepishly and accepted the gesture, Marlon helped you up carefully and continued to hold onto you once you were back on your feet, his eyes staring into yours.

“That fucking asshole.” Mitch threw the spearhead he was carving to the ground and came storming over, he pushed Marlon away as soon as he was close enough, “You’re fucking shitting me.” He growled, “You know, I actually thought there was no way my friend was trying anything with my partner. You’re an asshole.” Mitch respected your friendships, he didn’t mind you being close with Marlon despite the suspicion that he had a thing for you but what he wouldn’t respect nor stand for was others crossing boundaries and threatening to take you away from him.

“[Name] seems fine to me. They cared about what I was doing then they would’ve said.” Marlon crossed his arms, “So, why don’t you take a step back?”

“Why don’t you make me?” He took another step closer to Marlon.

“Mitch-“

Marlon shoved Mitch away roughly, it only took him moments to recover and just like that, Mitch had thrown a punch. He hadn’t held back either, there was already a bright red patch marking Marlon’s pale skin. Unfortunately, the first hit was only the first hit and neither was the type of person to leave it at that.

“Mitch!” There was no use in attempting to pull Mitch away or to intervene at all, the both of them were much stronger than you, you also didn’t really want to be caught up in the middle and get accidentally punched or shoved, “Marlon!” You hoped that maybe he would listen, “Stop!” Neither reacted to a word that came out of your mouth.

Louis and Violet came over quickly once hearing the commotion. They both grabbed onto Marlon’s arms and you took that opportunity to slip between the two males and face Mitch with a disapproving look.

“What the fuck happened?” Violet looked over to you and you only shook your head in response.

“It was a misunderstanding.” Marlon answered instead.

“Misunderstanding my ass. You stay away from me and you stay away from [Name].” Mitch started towards him again but you stopped him by placing a hand on his chest.

“I need to make sure his cuts don’t get infected.” You sighed and held on to Mitch’s wrist.

You guided him through the building and set him down on a cushioned seat. Mitch watched you walk around the room, opening and closing several cupboards and collecting everything you needed before kneeling down in front of him.

“Are you pissed at me?” Silence, “I’m sorry, but you really think- Ow!” He jumped at the sudden sharp sensation and subconsciously tried to pull his hand away from your gentle grasp, only for you to tighten it and bring him closer.

“Good, you deserve that after what you started.” You sent him a glare. Mitch didn’t expect that kind of response, he watched you dab the wet cotton on his lightly bleeding knuckles and could only grimace at the pain.

“That motherfucker-“ He stopped himself when he saw you raise your eyes to look at him, “Marlon, he kept touching you. I trusted him and he tried to pull that kinda shit when I’m around?” Mitch lowered his gaze, he was hurt and he felt betrayed.

“I get it - but you should be angry at me too. I didn’t tell him to stop when I should’ve.” His blue eyes followed you as you stood up and began cleaning his face, “You shouldn’t have gotten aggressive though... I want you to apologise.”

“What?!” You raised an eyebrow, “Alright. Fine.” He exhaled.

You smiled and wiped away some blood from his lip before kissing him softly, “Good boy.” You cupped his cheek, trying not to put too much pressure on the bruising areas.

“You calling me a dog?” Mitch grinned but his expression changed into a wince at you poking his swollen cheek.

A quick rundown of how my playthrough of Code Vein('s demo) went last night

I spent a long time making this character. She's pretty. I like her. Cool, new OC, let's go.
