your last ask was so interesting bc while i interpreted sapnap “choosing for george” as a momentary act of pure selfishness on sapnaps side, you saw it in part as a protection of george from what dream was becoming. which is ALSO interesting if you look at george from sapnaps perspective, both as someone he deeply cares about and doesnt want to see hurt, and as someone sapnap sees as incapable of stepping away from dream. sapnap had to give george the incentive to leave because he knew george wouldnt otherwise. and i think the difference in our interpretations is how self serving you interpret sapnap to be, how far into his character arc u determine him to be in that moment. bc theres a clear progression of sapnap from someone who looks up to dream like a younger brother, to someone whos hurt and betrayed by him, to someone whos desperately trying to hold the pieces of whatever family he has left. i dont even know what im saying anymore the lore discussions have rendered my brain to mush

i think i might have viewed it more selfish before tina's first lore stream. where c!sapnap says c!dream has to be in prison but that he thinks about him everyday. and the vow to kill him but insisting he doesn't want to

and the obvious hesitation to kill him in the armor room when in that position sapnap probably could have 1v1ed him. though i suppose seeing c!dream so friendly with techno might have given him pause (not like actually they obviously weren't supposed to fight that day but you know thinking in canon)

also dream sort of supported sapnap's resolve a bit i bet during the dethronement. one of dream's main arguments is he has to to take the crown because being associated with him is dangerous, it puts george at a risk. so if anything was going to convince sapnap he needed to get his friend away it would be hearing from dream himself he's not confident in protecting george.

like i think there was the selfish element of sapnap doesn't want to be left behind and he doesn't have many friends outside of george because of dream really. at this point dream still had sam, bad, punz, you know the crew. and then also george is one of his only friends so if there is anyone he'll try to get away from dream you know?

it's sort of like how in the community house remains techno who you'd think would have attacked anyone cause clearly dream wasn't on tommy or techno's side avoided dream's men. like there was always this understanding i think that they were loyal to dream.

so dream losing that loyalty from sam and then you know the whole egg thing it really fucked dream over. and i would say seeing dream's two right hand men turn his back on his was probably playing a role.

yeah like it's crazy to think about the domino effect of certain things you know. like if Dream had been able to dethrone/talk to George in private who knows what would be different

CC!George has been extremely careful to keep up his characters consistent refusal to enter the prison. Even in a situation where obviously no one was really in the prison. 

Sick of people saying he doesn’t care about his character. He does not turn to stare at the prison everytime he passes it but refuse to even touch it just for people to act like George doesn’t care about lore
